You take a look around the room with Horon, spotting some pots around, but thankfully no further enemies. There's a stairway leading down to the second half of the room, where the Lizalfos and Dinolfos attacked you from. You... think you spot something that looks like a chest down there, but can't tell for sure.

On the other side of the room, there looks like there are two conspicuous torches that are left unlit, flanking a section of wall at just enough distance for a door to be at. Maybe you could try lighting them with your lantern, see if that works. Though the fact that the exit hasn't opened is... worrying.

"Say, Termina, you got any more wooden shields?" Horon asks, finally putting out the embers in his hair. "That worked out even better than I thought it would, so if you've got a spare..."

>A. Cold stare
>B. Pinch ridge of nose, count down from 10. He's learning, Zelda, give him time...
>C. Polite "no"
>D. Light those torches!
>E. Head down, see if that chest has something
>F. Something else?

>B. Pinch ridge of nose, count down from 10. He's learning, Zelda, give him time...
>D. Light those torches!

>D. What do I look like, a woodcutter/carver? Go off and make a rock shield.

B. Pinch ridge of nose, count down from 10. He's learning, Zelda, give him time...

"I'm afraid that was my only one, Horon".

After that then:

E. Head down, see if that chest has something

>D. Light those torches!
>E. Head down, see if that chest has something

>A
>B
>D

>>B. Pinch ridge of nose, count down from 10. He's learning, Zelda, give him time...

You briefly stare at Horon coldly, before pinching the ridge of your nose, counting in your head down from 10. Be patient, Zelda, he's learning. Give him time... "I am afraid that was the only one I brought. Being that it was a spare. You will have to locate one yourself next time."

"Gotcha! I'll stock up on wooden shields next time I'm in a town." he replies cheerfully, Felicia visibly sulking next to him.

You bring out your lantern and attempt to light the twin torches. With both lit, a clicking sound can be heard, and the wall starts to open up... though to what, surprises you. It's a door, but there's this strange, silky substance made to look like braided rope in front of it. Soft to the touch, but noticeably tough, as if it were rocks wrapped up in a thin layer of fabric. And something about it seems... strangely enchanted.

"Huh. Maybe it's flammable?" Horon asks, looking over the new door. You bring your lantern to it, and while the substance does seem to get singed slightly, it also somehow restores itself nearly instantly.

You both next move down to the lower level, and do spot a chest! ...but there's something strange about the floor around it. As you move towards it, the floor tiles around the chest bolt up to nearly the ceiling. Stepping away, they come back down. Well, tricky...

>A. It might have only a certain way you can move to the chest, try to investigate if any of the floor is pressure-sensitive
>B. Well... how light are you Horon? Maybe you can bypass the trap by throwing him at the chest
>C. Go back to the other door, maybe bombs or the Fairy Missile will work
>D. Something else?

>>B. Well... how light are you Horon? Maybe you can bypass the trap by throwing him at the chest

FLY HORON FLY

>A. It might have only a certain way you can move to the chest, try to investigate if any of the floor is pressure-sensitive
B sounds like a self-burn, haha.

>B. Well... how light are you Horon? Maybe you can bypass the trap by throwing him at the chest

Kato why make votes with only one choice?

A. It might have only a certain way you can move to the chest, try to investigate if any of the floor is pressure-sensitive.

Maybe like the Treasure Chest Game in Majora's Mask. If Horon does the same from another angle, then we should find the right path to the chest in half the time.

>B
Hahahahaha

>B. Well... how light are you Horon? Maybe you can bypass the trap by throwing him at the chest

Yay, this quest lives!

Well. Roll me 1d10, best of three. DC is 9.

Rolled 2 (1d10)

YES

Rolled 7 (1d10)

Rolled 9 (1d10)

Rolled 5 (1d10)

DC 9 out of 10? You hate the redhead girl don't you?

Rolled 3 (1d10)

Rolled 9 (1d10)

Praise the dice gods! Fly Horon FLY!

Wow, all right!

This is gonna be hilarious.

Legitimately surprised.

And yet, it worked.

Writing...

...

Aww yisss

The princess has some frustration with Horon to work out

One Fastball Special coming up....

She is gonna be so sorry once she finds out Horon is like ten or eight and actually a little girl playing to be a hero.

Frustration can be worked out another way then.

Bad user!

Yeah cause Zelda would totally hit a girl that has not even entered puberty yet. Also with our luck, dad sleep around a lot and both Horon and best Gerudo girl are our sisters.

Oi.

Horon's only 2 years younger than us.

Then puberty might hit her late or she is just petite. It happens.

You scratch your head. You could try to scout out the area, see the correct path to take. With Horon helping, you'd find it in no time.

But... well, there's a more direct approach.

youtu.be/PEozRLcAp9U

You keep a stoic look as you turn to Horon. "This may sound like an odd question, but how light are you, Horon?"

"...that IS an odd question." he responds slightly defensively. "A-about six and a half stones?"

Hrmn. You're a little over 7 yourself. But maybe if you're careful enough... "I think I've figured out a way to get to it."

He gulps. "H-how?" You make a throwing motion. Horon's face goes a little red. "I-I'm not THAT small!"

You keep the stern look. "Horon, come now, it'll be fine, and it'll get us out of here faster."

He... relents. "...fine. I'll get the treasure first."

You try to figure out how to best go about this. You don't exactly have a lot of practice with something like this... but, well, you make do. Grabbing him by the collar, you try with all your might and toss the boy at the treasure chest. He avoids triggering the walls, and actually makes it, bracing himself for the impact. As good of a throwing arm you seem to have, that only barely got him there, so at least there's not too much force of impact.

He still lets out a moan of "Oww..." as he lands.

Felicia seems to stare at you, unamused. "Was that... necessary?"

"It worked, did it not?" you ask, trying your hardest not to smile.

Horon opens the chest...

...and acquires the [Gloves of Flame]!

He takes the time to put them, and then gives the item a test... blasting a ball of flame from his hand. You hear the floor around you click, and Horon strolls back to you casually, smirking. "Well. Termina, I think I'm going to keep these for a while."

>A. Go ahead, you got to the chest first
>B. ...please be careful
>C. Mind if I give them a try?
>D. Wait a minute... Horon, that door!
>E. Something else?

>E. You get one.

>>B. ...please be careful

>D. Wait a minute... Horon, that door!

She can keep the gloves since she loves fire so much. Plus we should be nice with our little sister.

>A. Go ahead, you got to the chest first
>B. ...please be careful
>D. Wait a minute... Horon, that door!

Fair enough, he needed a non fairy option anyway.

>A
Horon earned it this time.
>B
But kid needs to be careful. Fire is not a toy.
>D

A. Go ahead, you got to the chest first
D. Wait a minute... Horon, that door!

Fireballs for our blaster mage.

>B. ...please be careful
worry

Adding
>B. ...please be careful... lil sis.

Fuck off, you take jokes too far.

>>A. Go ahead, you got to the chest first
>>B. ...please be careful
>>D. Wait a minute... Horon, that door!
>This is Horon now

>We both get swallowed by Dodongos
>Several times

No, taking it too far would be buying Horon a dress.

Horon can see if that boy is willing to part with our old dress.

Heh, actually the Horon is a girl thing started in this quest because every other party menber before him was a girl save for the scort mision.

And there also the fact Horon seems too fixated in us suposely liking girls and that he got called a girl.

If Horon is female or not in this, is up to the GM.

I don't like the idea of Horon actually being the girl. I do however, like the idea of treating him like one. Needs to be the right moment though.

You nod. "You got to it first, it's yours, and you needed something extra to rely on. Feel free... but please, PLEASE be careful. Fire is not a toy. Magical fire, even less so."

"Yes, moooom." he grumbles out.

Your eye twitches slightly, but you let it slide as you recall, "Wait a minute... Horon, that door!"

He realizes what you're talking about, and immediately bolts to the other section of the room, laughing. He stands at the door, pulls his hand back, and thrusts it forward to launch a fireball. The silky material nearly evaporates, and the two of you make a little "Yes!" sound. You head inside first, and discover... aha, a chest! Inside is...

youtube.com/watch?v=5VRr9NG7RE0

...the [Power Glove]! Now you can move heavy objects and weapons!

You see Horon try to launch another fireball to practice, only to realize he can't. He scours the room for pots, breaking a few and restoring some magic.

>A. Search the room, see if there's anything you might be able to move
>B. Eh, Horon can have these too
>C. Something else?

I think it would be funnier if she was actually a girl because she is playing being a hero and heroes are guys, right?

And then later she is just too ashamed to admit the truth. Because she has low confidence in herself unless she is playing up as Lord Horon.

But is not like I run this quest so it will be whatever the GM decides.

>>A. Search the room, see if there's anything you might be able to move

>relies on magic
Damn, oh well. He still has his sword thing at least.

A. Search the room, see if there's anything you might be able to move.

Or if there's any walls that might be cracked and bomb-able.

>A. Search the room, see if there's anything you might be able to move

>A. Search the room, see if there's anything you might be able to move.

He already got loot, now is our turn. Plus the other party members only got one magical item from us, so fair is fair

youtu.be/KZErvASwdlU
>A.

>A. Search the room, see if there's anything you might be able to move
>C. Something else?
Break some pots too, cap off our magic and health. If there's any left, anyway.

This

Yeah sure.

This too.

Rolled 3, 2, 8 = 13 (3d10)

It's actually more complicated than that. The gloves act more like the Sword Beam, they take no magic when health is full, but eat up one dot if the wearer has taken damage.

Also, give it a shot. 3d10, best of three. No DC.

Rolled 8, 1, 7 = 16 (3d10)

Rolled 9, 10, 7 = 26 (3d10)

Rolled 10, 6, 5 = 21 (3d10)

Nice!

Very nice. Writing...

Good job, princess!

Considering this temple has two treasures found this early on, it's likely that is because we will need them: this is probably a tough dungeon with powerful monsters.

We should be very careful.

Do we actually have to break the pots?

We can also REALLY fastball special Horon now, so, we should be ready for it.

Yes. Hence why we have a more experienced yet a tad childlish party menber.

If he gets that Biggoron's Sword repaired, that would make a very deadly Fastball Special.

True, it does make sense. Din is the goddess of Power after all....

So Horon would have to be... nope not going there.

You look around the room for more scattered pots, and quickly recover some health. You also bring your magic back up to full, and get an extra 20 Rupees for your trouble!

[Hearts: 6/6]
[Magic: 5/5]
[Rupees: 111]

Looking around the room, you also notice that there's an oddly colored pillar in the section with the previous chest in it. You plant your feet and ready yourself, Power Gloves on, and lift. "Hrt... RAH!" It's still HEAVY, but with the gloves on you feel like you can legitimately lift it. You give it a toss, moving it away. Aha! There's a switch behind it. Flipping it finally raises the bars in the room.

"Sweet, looks like we're good to go, Termina." Horon comments, strolling off.

>A. Let's head back to the main room, check the door on the right
>B. Main room had a door in the middle, would be a good idea to go there first
>C. Something else?

>A. Let's head back to the main room, check the door on the right

>A. Let's head back to the main room, check the door on the right

We can check the rest later. Midle door is usually a Boss fight, right?

>A. Let's head back to the main room, check the door on the right

Maybe not directly to the fight, but it tends to be the main path.

okie dokie princess jones

At the very least probably the way forward.

A. Let's head back to the main room, check the door on the right

There's bound to be some stuff in the other rooms we may need later: the Map and Compass, keys (and the Boss Key), fairies to bottle, and so on.

So, who likes this more than Tuffle Quest? I DO!

I fell behind in tuffles, I need to catch back up

Tuffles is pretty good. I'd say they're about even on my scale.

Not a fan of dragon ball, so it's an easy choice.

Well it's a different sort of appeal, I suppose. It probably helps that this one isn't as complicated.

Well I followed that one until Z started. Zelda fortunately has way less power creep than DBZ.

So yes I prefer Zelda. It also helps this one is way more female focused while Tuffle had Goku and the other guys.

I never checked out Tuffle since Dragon Ball wasn't really a thing here when I grew up. And Toriyama's art is very unappealing to me.

(SAINT SEEIYAAA QUEST!

Just kidding no one on tg who isn't from Latin America or Europe would be interested in that. So what cartoons did you saw growing up? )

I like both, though Tuffles has had some issues with certain players recently.

Every long quest does.

Well I'm from Europe, so. Growing up I mostly watched shows made over here, as well as Pokemon which aired Saturday mornings. Then when I was like 13 my friends introduced me to Naruto which was pretty new at the time (run for about a year in Japan, these were grody old 2003 fansubs).

You and Horon move on back above, to the middle room, headed for the door to the right. Along the way, he asks you, "So Termina, what other places have you been to?"

"I've made brief stops in Ordon Town and at Lon Lon Ranch. Met some others who've helped me on my travels."

"Oh sweet, Lon Lon Ranch? Did you happen to catch Captain Douglass racing?" he asks.

You shake your head no. "I was there only briefly. Though... perhaps I saw him on my way back here." you recall the odd scene. "You?"

"I've met him a few times. Swell guy." Horon states with a smile. "I also met some knight in red and gold armor, or at least that's what it looked like. Quiet person, we parted ways as he went off to Valenz town just north of here."

You raise your eyebrow. A knight in armor of red and gold, headed north. Hrmn. Sounds like something worth investigating some time. Upon reaching the door, you discover it leads to a room above it. The path splits from the entrance, one sounding rather quiet, the other with the clear sound of sliding traps moving along their tracks.

>A. Take the quiet path
>B. See what's down the path with traps
>C. Horon, let's both take a look at what's down each hall (which will you choose?)
>D. Something else?

>Let's try the traps, Horon is too noisy to be quiet.

>B. See what's down the path with traps

>B. See what's down the path with traps
