Watcha doin tonight, Veeky Forums?

Watcha doin tonight, Veeky Forums?

wish i could be
a fly on your wall.

Planning a setting, but have nothing to show for it.

Preparing for my game tomorrow.

It's the most fun I've had in a long time, cancer jokes aside.

...

Playing 40k with my gf and the bros. Nid and guard vs crons and spess muhreens.

Nids are the girls arent they

Staying in because I'm sick and watching the Bucs/Browns game

Attempting not to kill myself after having the GM cancel at the last second, and having fellow players not show up the past few weeks.

But on the upside, Hive Queen Quest is back again.

Whats the setting bro?

>giant monstrous creatures
>played by girls

you already know the answer user,

Working my 6th nightshift in a row. Veeky Forums threads pass the time. Thinking of ideas for a campaign

Laying in bed, reading fanfiction.

I feel your pain, user.

Just browsing Veeky Forums while listening to livestreams.

Could be worse, I suppose.

Any Night Shift experiences on the night shift?

Do you mean have I had a cool Veeky Forums related experience at my job? Afraid not.

Being forced to deal with some other faggot's relationship problems that three months ago caused me to lose a friend I was close with.

> friends now all have careers and families
> i still live in my parents basement
Who needs'em.

Had a mysterious military convoy go by in the dark with no lights on. They did not respond to hails and were escorting 3 pleasure yachts, who also had no lights on.
Other than the mysterious shapes in the dark and moving lights we usually get, it's pretty quiet.

Standard fantasy, thinking of basing it off D&D 3.5e and maybe with a bit of Pathfinder. Mostly thinking of what would work best for potential (new) players. Main goal of campaign will be preparing to defeat the BBEG (Aasimar Antipaladin) from summoning even bigger BBEG. Probably pretty damn cliché, but I'm thinking of making the start for the players (Start in the first dungeon, where they will meet up, get equipment, etc.) rather than the age-old Golden Ass inn/tavern/brothel.

Trying not to kill myself.

Hanging out with friends. Had a game on Wednesday and another one tomorrow.

Feels good.

cool

Truth be told I'm probably going to have a wank to some anime porn, roll a joint, maybe do a bump of ketamine and read splatbooks 'til I fall asleep in a puddle of my own dribble.

I'll wake up after about two hours or so and write some semi-lucid plot hook idea in my campaign journal, then rinse/repeat until somebody tells me I have to be somewhere, or the doorbell goes.

Sorry, T.M.I I know.

Running an Only War game based off Xenophon's March. The players are part of a Rogue Trader's private mercenary army and need to march to the sea in order to escape encirclement and eventual annihilation.

This is a multi-session adventure, though, and we're just two sessions in so far.

Shit sounds cash user.
Can I suggest including wacky people based off pic-related?
Even if it's just Horse-Stoners or Opposite-Landers

>mysterious military convoy
>no lights on.
>They did not respond to hails
user, isn't that a bad thing?

>Wishing that my players didn't suddenly develop obligations right when I started trying to DM for them.
>feeling mildly depressed that I can't run a game this saturday for that reason
>fleshing out my copy of a dungeon map with locations of monsters and windows
>wondering how to tell That Guy that he's acting like an immature shitbag
>eating chocolate ice cream
>watching LPs
>wishing that my LISA: The First download would actually run on my computer
>making plans to do naughty things with a desperate woman
>posting on 4chums and other fora

It's not a bad friday night, all things considered

Wacky people abound. The army's made up of multiple free companies and mercenary outfits recruited from across the core setting (Calixis Sector lore is best 40k lore, fight me irl if you disagree), so a lot of the units are fighting amongst themselves as they make their journey to safety. I've been doing my best to make as many of the NPCs and different component units as colorful as possible, and most of them are based on a variety of different inspirations like the free companies of medieval Europe.

A Herodotus-type may make a cameo, fuck knows I'm running out of inspiration for bit characters.

At my cousins wedding. Please kill me.

Setting up a roll20 encounter for tomorrow noon. They're in a swamp, and headed into the dungeon. Gotta make the Deugar infested in-between now. Needs a map and tokens.

I guess you could have a historian NPC if you need a wee bit more conflict.
Like the sort of guy who has the rhetorical skill to make sure that you will be remembered for ages, but they demands to have both first-person accounts and his own experience of the front.

Nothing particularly mechanically helpful at the time, but if the campaign continues after the Anabasis section the good PR could be helpful.
And even if it doesn't, being remembered fondly could make for a good bragging rights challenge for your players to keep them alive

Sounds pretty dope.

I might write the character in as the Rogue Trader's Seneschal just surveying the front when they all got cut off and had to nope the fuck out.

Game's about to start. Wish me luck m80s.

luck wished friendo

Having them be highly placed isn't a bad idea

The one thing I'd be a stickler about is them being insistent about seeing the fighting and whatnot first-hand, and refusing to make up stuff they haven't seen themselves. To give a bit of challenge to the players yanno?

Like if the players block and coddle them then the story they write is very much neutered and doesn't become very popular.

Updating my league of legends client and fiddling with my linux box while surfing about 12 tabs.

Trying to decide if I want to work on this hex crawler I plan to run tonight or tomorrow night after a game of league.

Eagerly awaiting the destruction of my incredibly cocky party at the hands of a tau fleet

Drinking heavily. I had to call my game off due to a death in the family.

Catching up on Jojo part 4 before going to bed

>Drinking heavily. I had to call my game off due to a death in the family.

Date night watching a football game thinking about how this relationship is deeply flawed but neither of us will admit it.

Trying to come up with bare bones basics of my D&D campaign's world.

So far I've got the basic info of a kingdom's main city, two towns and a village, and I still need to work on 2 villages and 4 landmarks inside that kingdom. And even then I still need to come up with the surroundings for that kingdom if when they decide to wander off from it.

Plus this is for a 5th Edition game where I'm being a DM for the first time, despite only having played Pathfinder twice. The good thing is I never told the group when exactly we would be playing this.

Just finished our weekly tabletop session with my group over Skype. It was fun, I was running my Werewolf: The Apocalypse campaign this week. Had an old high school friend of mine join us tonight with a cameo of an older character of his from back when we played as teenagers, everyone had a blast. Friend is considering joining our weekly sessions as an official player, feelsgoodman.

I'm buzzed, plumbing sewage out of the laundry sink every few hours because why wouldn't it clog that way tonight, and creating an urban fantasy setting that seeks to be Lovecraft through the eyes of internet horror ala creepypastas and neo-folklore.

How you doin?

>urban fantasy setting that seeks to be Lovecraft through the eyes of internet horror ala creepypastas and neo-folklore.

So Zalgo?

Finishing up a flier I'm going to post in a local nerd-theme'd eatery in an ill-conceived attempt to finally get a gaming group after having a dry spell for near half a decade.

Playin' some vidya games, getting hype for my Sunday AD&D session. Thinking about hopping on tabletop simulator and slaking my Veeky Forums thirst; can't decide if I want to host a round of the Warcraft Board game and just murder some hours.

Netflix and chill with one of my girlfriends. Happens to play in my all ladies group. I have fucked or am fucking 3/4 of those players.

Nah, more "your string of bad luck is the result of a FATE SPIDER attached to your head that you can't see or feel....oh, remove it? Oh no no no....that thing freaks me the fuck out, I'm not getting anywhere NEAR it."

I worked on a witch model for a good portion of the evening after chatting with a dude about our D&D game tomorrow. Still need to jot down a small backstory and "build" the character mechanically before then.
