Infinity is a 28mm scale futuristic skirmish game by Corvus Belli where the brave warriors of the Combined Army fight to bring enlightenment and civilization to undeserving human savages.
7 Regulars, 2 Montessa, 2 Akalis and 1 Bagh-Mari that can be proxied as a sniper - what's not to like?
Robert Thomas
Old PanO combis, for starters. And old ASA models are almost like different units for most parts. Old regulars have thin ankles that are prone to break and old Montesa probablt looks like a manlet next to new one.
I have the old starter, but don't plan to mix them with new models with maybe a few expections.
Kayden Rivera
Eh, I already field new ORC next to the old HMG one. Or old Tomcats along with new Algauciles. And it's not like there's another Montessa to field a Duo.
Michael Bell
It depends on a model and personal tastr. Tomcats haven't changed in their various iterations, Orc hasn't changed drastically. If you want to field Montesa Duo currently, there are not many optiobs, but I'd use my resources on something else (like Nagas and Peacemaker) and wait for an eventual new Montesa release.
Oliver Perry
Well, I'll probably field a Tikbalang first and proxy the Regulars with Fusiliers anyway. But buying both starters right now looks like a good way to start off.
Jace Davis
The Lt is reasonably obvious, despite having multiple alguacil they are the only one in the main group.
I assume the nasmat is for cordi? I'm fairly sure you can't assign ghost servant units to models in a link team.
You possibly have a shortage of specialists with most of your button pushers tied up in the link team.
12 regular orders could be a little rough but you could potentially make it work. You'll need those yaun yaun to do some good disruption work.
And have a good plan for when scarface goes down as you don't have much in the way of secondary hitting power.
Could be a fun list though probably need to get aggressive with it. Give it a good go and see.
Nolan Long
Joe "Scarface" Turner confirmed for next ITS.mini
Charles Long
Welp. Guess it's time to WAAC the shit out of next season.
Hudson Cooper
Thank you, valid critique. As for the Lt., It doesn't really matter in which combat group he is and having a 1/3 chance of the actual Lt. getting hit is a acceptable deal, I guess.
Yes the Nasmat is for the qt, but I believe that you can still link servants to link members and using them doesn't break the link team. Thought they changed that in HSN3.
>12 regular orders could be alittle rough 10-12 regular is actually my sweet spot. 2 regulars to cancel the impetious Yuan Yuan, so that actually makes 10. What/how do you play that you consider it rough?
Hype.

Noah Perry
My bad forgot to share it over here as well. I believe there will be an updated lifepath out shortly as well to reflect some of the changes that have happend.
Bentley King
What do you reckon, Veeky Forums? Is this an accurate guess?
Ryder Nelson
silhouettes for reference
Juan Gonzalez
Looks like. However, I suspect and hope that Masterclass 2 is actually Combi Sun Tze.
Jace Cruz
Well, the silhouette fits the crane perfectly, bar the Yu Jing spines. I wouldn't Sun Tze, though; I guess it'd fit in the named character theme of the first book.
Luke Reyes
Joe has already been confirmed as the next ITS mini. There's just no good picture yet, because everyone at the Interplanetary had potatoes for cameras
Christian Wright
I guess it could be Boarding Shotgun Crane? I wouldn't mind if it was Multi-Rifle Crane though, the old one isn't that old and still looks great. So I wouldn't feel cheated like Pan-O players with Joan.
Ian Butler
I meant MULTI.
That was my main thought; first book was a character. Moreover, Sun Tze 2.0 (sniper) already has precedence in terms of being visually almost identical to Crane's (despite being technically MI instead of Crane's HI).
Noah King
You guys ever have some really campy ideas for Infinity? I work as a Caddy during the summer and today I just got this random ass idea for a Veteran Caledonian its 2 units one has a rocket launcher and the other carries the rockets in a fucking golf bag.
This is the shit I come up with when im bored
James Martinez
Ended up looking it up. Page 30 of human sphere my dude.
"G: Servant, Coordinated Order and Fireteams A G: Servant trooper and its Doctor/Engineer cannot be part of a Coordinated Order nor be a member of any type of Fireteam, unless specified otherwise"
14-16 seems to be the typical order pool I've seen with ariadna being up at retarded high 18+ order level. But if your meta allows that then it's all good.
I say 12 is rough because you should expect to lose a few guys. You don't have many cheer leaders to let you get stuff done when you really need to and you only really have the one heavy to get do your lifting. (I say this though as a spoilt morat player with a 34 point 5 order cheer squad link though)
It's difficult with how little wiggle room you have with unit choice though. I always wanted to try a merc force myself.
Adrian Gomez
I'm looking at the interplanitario announcements and it looks like they're aren't any new Nomad models. It's that normal. If so, that really sucks
Jose Cooper
Stuff for Nomads was announced before it.
Benjamin Howard
So was stuff for other factions
Angel Clark
Can't hit them all each time something is announced.
Angel Garcia
I'd give your spitfire to the main link. Mimetism and link bonuses > X visor. You need a good backup killer because Scarface is almost certainly going to die, and I'm not sure the Druze is enough. Visored Druze are best used for supp fire anyway, the spitfire doesn't add much for that. I'd go for the DEP instead, it's a pretty versatile profile.
Michael Wood
Any results in from the interplanetary? Factions, army lists etc.
Jack Ross
Probably someone's blog out there, though usually a week or so after it CB will post their own breakdowns and some lists.
Jaxon Cruz
Oh, my bad, guess I mixed it up with entire orders not breaking up the link team anymore. Thanks for the update tho.
Well I've still a lot to learn when it comes to list building. How many order monkeys is enough? And how much redundancy do I need?
I rather take either a MSR or a Spitfire in the Kaplan Link, though I prefer the MSR. It packs quite a punch in the reactive and isn't bad in the active turn either. The DEP profile is nice and all but isn't really able to carry the Hacker forward and a shot from a unlinked Spitfire isn't something to be sneezed at either. But I never played a Druze duo before so maybe I'm just talking shit.
Nathan Adams
Synchronized unit with ability to replenish deployable weapons similiar to baggage? Antipode Caddie? Parent unit with double panzerfaust/flammenspeer and secondary weapon like light shottie and cheap price, because inefficiency.
Sebastian Jenkins
or a golfer and caddie grenadier where the golfer hits a grenade off a tee
For ITS what's a good number of specialists to bring?
Ian Lewis
What would Corregidor players recommend a new player bring to a 200 point army if new purchases isn't an issue but the only condition is that it uses minimum Alguiciles because they look like dog balls?
Jonathan Sullivan
People usually say 4 per 10 models.
Luke Bennett
Replace Algauciles with Remotes and Jaguars. Problems start when you think Jags looks like dogshit too, like me. I basically pidgeonholed myself into always playing a Wildcat link, but that is too pricey under 300.
Hudson Thomas
I'm alright with Jags. I'd have to bring Not-Deadpool to make them Regular Orders though right? Do I bother bringing anything other than Chain Rifles and just let Not-Deadpool do all the heavy lifting?
William Miller
Jaguars are Regular, they just have Frenzy. The Chain Rifle profile is the best, but the others aren't awful.
Kayden Edwards
For me, 5-8 depemding on the faction, list, and most importantly the Mission
Cameron Anderson
Oh that's right. Deadpool was just in there to suppress the Frenzy.
Levi Morgan
Yeah I'm playing MAF with a 5 man link and the list has 5 specialists and 12 orders. These numbers seem a little low, but I figured it's because I'm playing MAF
James Smith
It was said that Masterclass was getting a haqqislam minature, I thought.

Please let Varuna be worth the wait I'm talking elite black op troops.
Ryan Johnson
So what's the lore reason for the link team benefits? Isn't it explained that everyone is radio conversing anyway?
Luke Rivera
Cut up a fusilier trying to reload his combi.
Have you seen those damned things? Fucking mag placement makes no sense. Yeah, it might slide out easy, but putting it back in looks like a PITA
Thomas Walker
Link teams are brothers-and-sisters-in-arms that always fight side by side. Higher level of trust, teamwork, and knowing how one another will react.
Charles Hughes
Remember that it's not just a rifle, it's a high-tech space rifle made by a nation whose military budget makes the USA's look like pocket change.
You probably just need to slap a full magazine against the handguard and fancy space clamps will grab it and insert it into the gun.
Julian Robinson
Vanilla forces are, in fluff, sort of put together on the fly; while everyone involved is usually the consummate professional, they may not have worked together on a mission. It's most obvious in some lists where units would normally be subtly working against each other (read: any YJ list that has JSA and non-JSA units in it)
Brody Lee
Infinity newfag here. I just got the USAriadna box and was wondering what I should get next. Any experienced anons have any advice?
Jaxon Cook
Or just throw the gun away when the mag runs out.
Still find the concept of fumbling with the damned thing funny
Charles Long
Please respond
Mason Cruz
Put a panzerfaust on one of those Jags. Otherwise it seems alright as a killy list. I assume you're not taking it for specialist-heavy ITS.
Jason Rivera
It's a list for me to learn the game with a mate. Difference being he's gotten a Steel Phallus list written up by a local player.
Hudson Jackson
Question anons
Whats is this all about Raktorak being shit? I do my first run with Morat starter and he's running just fine. He even move decently fast for MI and able to take and hold out the objectives on his own, also able to scare the shit out my friend QK's links and warbands.
Seriously im curious, what happened?
Julian Morris
It's not a bad idea
If haqqislam gets a cricket bat unit I'm sold
Christian Jones
Hurray for Burgers!
There's not much to buy, and most of it is decent. The Grunt SWC box is good. Sniper Links, HMG Links and Grunt Links in general are pretty decent thanks to heavy flamethrowers and grunts being tough and cheap on their own, and it gives you enough guys to do either.
The Marauder Box just got previewed which means it'll probably be available early 2017 and will probably be an instant grab.
Dozer+Muls are pretty good for some artillery or cheap orders.
And a Foxtrot ranger(s) will probably be a thing you should look into because spamming a few Foxtrot FOs is pretty good.
You may want a Airborne but you can just get Van Zant and use him as one if you're interested in running either.
112 is useful. He can pick guys up with Doctor and has ok WIP, and is a specialist for ITS.
Jonathan Bennett
They've gotten a lot more useful since they were made specialists, but that's just because they were utter dogshit before. The main problem with the Raktorak is that he doesn't do anything special. The only significant advantages he has over the 8 point cheaper Vanguard FO are a flamethrower (there are better DTW troops available) and loads of BTS (nice but not exactly a game changer). Contrast the Rodok paramedic with his mines, mimetism and super jump. Or the Zerat FO with her mines, grenades, mimetism and infiltration. Or Doc Worm with his fancy healing powers and 6-4 movement. Or even the incredible toolbox that is Anyat.
Benjamin Nguyen
There's definitely something to be said for Red Fury specialist, and of course he enables your Suryat link to bring a specialist.
You are right though, without specialist he's junk
Nicholas Powell
I can't wait to finish my o us force and get to playing it. JSA has been boring lately.
Jackson Young
Onyx force*
Brayden Brooks
Before, Raktoraks were practically useless in N2. They didn't bring anything to the table that you couldn't get from a Daturazi, Yaogat, or Vanguard. Their stats didn't bring anything new and the cost really didn't help them.
You could get a flamethrower on a Zerat for less points and it started further up the board with Mimetism and Mines.
Now that they are specialist operatives they can boost a Suryat Haris or Core team by giving them a button pusher for cheap (compared to the Suryats themselves).
A 4-4 MOV MI is nothing to sneeze at, but at the end of the day it's profile really lacked anything useful back in N2.
As of now, I would bring them in MAF for fluffing a Suryat team. Outside of that, they are kind of an expensive button pusher that doesn't start any farther up. The Morat rule being present on plenty other Murder Apes with better abilities. Rodoks surely wouldn't have helped them either if they hadn't gain Specialist Operative.
Personally, I think they are fine, what would have made them nice is if they were LI and kept the ARM and BTS, could fluff any fireteam, and also had Number 2 to better prove that Morats excel at maintaining their chain of command. Either way, it'll never happen. An SWC profile would also be welcomed.
Matthew Sanders
Raktorak isn't bad. He just makes no sense to take given the other unit choices in the list.
You could chuck one in for a cheaper suryat link if you're tight on points but that's about it. Were he able to lead a vanguard core link I'd be more inclined to use him.
Lincoln Torres
Think of it as having a group of close oporating dudes directly supporting you and working towards one thing. Whether that's through laying down covering fire, knowing someone else has your back, is directly tracking motion of your targets with a wrist computer etc.
The idea is it all culminates in getting that extra second to aim and take your shot or not worry about someone sneaking up on you while you do your job.
Daniel King
I mostly play morats so I'm driving a different beast.
I link to take atleast half of my combat groups as order monkeys. And 2 heavy lifters with another specialist say a hacker and dr worm.
In my case my main group is a soggy to wreck face, back up suryat. Dr worm, a hacker, and a vanguard forward observer for a combo specialist/order monkey. Then a hungries link team.
So that ends up being 7 orders to back up the soggy and hacker. With the suryat taking over if soggy goes down (very rare). If everything goes to shit the hingries can do crazy work with few orders because they are monstrously fast.
In my second team I run a yaogat with cool weapon as another work doer with as many daturazi as I can fit usually 3. That gives 4 orders for the yaogat with his MSV2 and the daturazi still act with their impetuous. If I have the points maybe a second hacker in this group.
So you want about 5 specialists with half of each combat group giving orders to support the real workers. Having 1 or 2 backup workers is good. With certain builds you can run a really defensive link team in suppression while your other stuff runs around getting objectives.
You choices are really limited wanting to run pure mercs though. Best of luck.
Michael Bell
The LI/MI distinction is essentially meaningless when they're just as fast as LI. As for the other stuff, you're preaching to the choir. Number 2 and being able to join more fireteams are what pretty much everyone wants for Raktorak, it would save the unit.
Morats aren't all that different unless you use Hungries. They're really cheap and good at distruption, but don't do much else. Stuff like Kaplan links (or Rodoks in MAF) are efficient to move around and can act as both good specialists and good beatsticks, which cuts down on order consumption.
Isaac Cruz
It's caseless ammunition, so the mag should last a good while anyway.
Jackson Cox
I thought it would work by sliding it over the hand guard. Weapons in Infinity are weird sometimes. I still don't really understand how a Combi Rifle is easier to handle at close quarters than a regular rifle or why shotguns are still called shotguns when they fire explosive flechette rounds. But Chain Rifles, with Chain Colts in particular, have to be the stupidest weapons.
Kevin Wright
Combis are constructed to be lighter iirc. Shotguns are still called shotguns because that's what the explosive flechettes are loaded into. They probably still take buckshot, it just isn't issued to the military because the flechettes work better.
I think chain colts are far less stupid than normal chain rifles. They're both emergency weapons for point blank range, but the pistol is small and easy to maneuver.
Chase Morgan
The pistol sounds too small to be effective. After adjusting for weapons being oversized on minis you're left with a pistol that shoots tiny chains. This sounds like non-lethal ammo at best.
Zachary Sanders
It doesn't really shoot chains. A chain goes in, yes. But what comes out is extremely hot shrapnel moving at extremely high speeds, and that tends to kill people pretty effectively.
Besides, you could totally kill someone with a tiny chain if you had decent muzzle velocity. Getting whipped with one is largely non-lethal, but firing it out of a gun? That could easily take off somebody's face.
Christian Peterson
Anyone else see that Mobile Brigada bust Angel posted on facebook? Pretty nifty.
Evan Green
Yeah, I want it. But knowing their history with those it's not gonna be for general sale.
Speaking of, my FLGS is starting preorders for Black Friar. I think after getting him my MO will change theme song from Saxon to this youtube.com/watch?v=D2L4r0Aelvg
Leo Hernandez
It's well made and well painted, but I will forever be disappointed by the female Brigada and their twiggy limbs.
Wyatt Johnson
Except Angel is part of the company producing those and these are made for painters?
Luis Nelson
So what is the faction in infiniti that wins majority of torunaments ?
Austin Johnson
None of them.
Tyler James
its the good thing of this game, you require skills, not an op codex
Jacob Russell
Hope it's not another crane. Need some Zhang Ying agents- the fucking BASIC Imperial agents. Every other one has a nice new model.
Parker Rodriguez
HMG/tactical rock when
Thomas Sanchez
So telle me something about Ariadna (not franch tho) Pan O and Nomads ? I'd down to those 3 and tournaments (ITS) would be my main playing space. How each fair in them and what are the common list types ?
Jaxon Garcia
Shit. I guess I'm screwed then. At least my Asian space cops will look ok. Ish.
Robert Young
Any list with TAGs is super duper good and you should go buy at least four of them to be competitive.
I recommend the Tik+Uhlan Box, Cutter, Dragoes and Seraph as a good starting point.
Ignore the haters.
Cameron Evans
¿que?
Jacob Richardson
And NO specialists. That's for Queers. Just try to table your opponent turn two. It's just like playing with your Tau list in 40k.
Connor Wright
this is the state of the communiti in this game ? good representation on players ?
Zachary Green
Yup, we're all super friendly to zero effort trolls and give amazing advice 100% of the time.
Welcome to the game. Or as they say at the Infinity head offices; >"Buenos dias armadura chihuahua!"
Xavier Harris
Nope beeing a dick and steering a noob into buying bunch of usless models. This shows that game attracts immature duchebags - thous its not worth a bother. Play with your toys boy, while I tend to grown up matters. A tip of a hat to you.
