Recently: You've escape your cell with Violet, retrieved both of your teams (minus Mewtwo) and met up with your friends.

General rules:

There is a 10 minute voting period after each post. Non-contradictory votes will be combined as best as possible.

Write-ins for all votes are always welcome and encouraged. They may not all make it into the post or be altered to fit in, but I'll do my best to at least try to address the spirit of the write-in.

Very important or contentious votes may be redone in a stricter voting system as it comes up.

Combat involves rolls! Once there's a clear vote winner, we roll for the move accuracy/crit/secondary effect. Usually it's just three 1d100s. Sometimes you can get a modifier from circumstances, so be creative! Add flair, do tricks with moves, mess with terrain, whatever! This is not a video game. Weak moves tend to be quicker.

Call me out on a mistake and receive an apology butt or suggestive picture.

Alright, time to kick Hornbeam ass once and for all.

You’re assaulted from all sides. It’s a hopeless situation. Your senses are just overwhelmed. You can barely see or hear anything that you can make sense of.

And it’s great! Your Pokemon and human friends hug, kiss, and lick you.

“Nice to see you, Kat.” Geno’s unjudging voice cuts through. “Robin.”

Robin looks up at the crowd of spectators. Gym leaders and the Elite Four. She gets up, brushes herself off, pulls you up, and coughs. “Alright people. Show’s over. Main unit, keep advancing. Reserves, watch the rear. Nice and steady, but keep that pace up. Remember, we have people on the outside that are counting the seconds. Move out!”

Wow! She is commanding.

The group gets into gear and Robin turns back to you. She looks terrified but giddy. She breathes and forces it away. “There’s a PC box with the others. You can switch your team there if you need.” Robin grabs your shoulder. “Just a little more, and we’ll set everything right.”

“Robin.” Violet greets her cautiously.

“Former champion Violet.” Robin grabs your hand and starts walking back to the main group.

>Ask Robin to go easy on her. It’s been rough
>Stay out of it
>Lightly tease Violet about her former champion title
>Ask Robin about her eye patch
>Something else

time for Hornbeam murder!
time for loving threesomes!
and then time for more adventures!

>Stay out of it

>Stay out of it
>Ask Robin about her eye patch
>stay leaned up on her until we have to kick ass

Gobble, where is Somnius?

>>Stay out of it
afterwards
>>Ask Robin about her eye patch

>Ask Robin to go easy on her. It’s been rough
Violet still isn't over it and will probably need a second defeat to understand that Robin is actually better than her, but now's not the time for that.

Also, how much time were we locked up? Robin sure has changed.

[Secret mission in Russia.

I think he just needs rest. Dude's been QMing at a crazy hard pace for a long time.]

>Ask Robin to go easy on her. It’s been rough

I think playing as Green in FR:LG makes the story between her and her rival more interesting, since Blue's alpha douchebag personality is now less about dominance and more about charming his way into Green's skirt.
It'd probably work too if Blue could actually win some battles against her.

>I'm sorry Robin, I'm with Violet now.

You decide to stay out of it.

“What happened with your eye?”

“Huh? O-oh, right. I’ve been modifying it and I didn’t really have time to make it look good.” She lifts it up. It’s honestly not that bad, but it is noticeable. “P-plus I think it helps with getting people to listen to me. It makes it look like I’ve seen some s-s-sh-poop.”

Dalsim turns around to face her.

“Eyes front! Don’t let your guard down.”

He jumps at the order. “Yes ma’am.”

“When did this happen?” You whisper to Clair.

“I know right. Isn’t it hot?” She composes herself. “She went a bit overboard when you got captured.

It’s only been a few weeks. Granted, they’ve been really long weeks, but you guess people change at the pace of life, not time.

The main group as a PC and some sort of other device on the back of a Torterra. Electric pokemon work to power it.

“We’ve got a machine that stops Hornbeams mind invasions. At least, in a big enough radius to keep us safe.”

That’s a relief.

You’ll probably have a few minutes before reaching Hornbeams vaulted room. You don’t know what you’re going to face, but you’ll probably want a wide variety of options to deal with it.

>You’re good
>Swap someone for Trunks (Trevenant)
>Swap someone for Fel (Butterfree)
>Swap someone for Vlad (Crobat)
>Swap someone for Oberon (Garchomp)
>Swap someone for Nibbles (Tyrantrum)
>Something else

Fug, I dunno.
>You’re good

>Swap someone for Oberon (Garchomp)
Levi needs a break and I doubt the room will be that big.

>Swap someone for Fel (Butterfree)
I don't know, Destiny maybe?

Like I don't know, Fel could be useful in terms of crowd control?

Destiny is our dodge lord though, I would say Levi and Raistlin are the most likely to be swapped since we have Aria and I doubt the lab is that big.

>>Swap someone for Vlad (Crobat)
>>Swap someone for Oberon (Garchomp)

Yeah. I can support that.

Levi has had weeks for a break because lol timeskip to the end

>Swap someone for Fel (Butterfree)
Raistlin
My point about room still stands.

[A few weeks.]

[Swap Levi for Oberon and Raistlin for Fel?]

Sure.

>yes

I just hope Fel will pull its weight

When in doubt, Tailwind.

Which of our current 'mons are feeling fatigue or exhaustion?

See

>tfw have to go sleep early
Make sure you beat up Hornbeam anons!

>No wrath of Leviathan: Revenge of the giant flying Prawn

why would we switch our psychic type out when we have a chance of being mind controlled?

You swap Levi and Raistlin for Oberon and Fel.

You look around. “Hey, where’s Vance and Jeanine? And all the others?”

“We split up, just in case there’s a trap or something. They’re taking the secret back tunnel.” Clair rolls her eyes.

“Not a fan of this plan?”

She keeps her voice down. “Just worried.” She hugs your arm quickly. “I’m sick of everyone I care about being in danger.”

You smile back.

“Ugh. Gross. You really need a shower.” Clair pushes away.

“I tried to tell her that earlier.” Violet walks ahead.

You reach a huge, reinforced vault door. It’s the main lab.

The group turns to Zoe, one of the Team Imperium members from the temple that’s been helping. “There was a smaller, weaker one here before. He must have activated a secret security measure or something.”

There’s a rush of noise coming from the back. “We’ve got company!”

A swarm of Pokemon start pouring down the hall towards your group.

>Take out your Pokemon and try to blow it open
>Try to get through the vent in the ceiling
>You should plug Porygon into the vault door console
>Help defend. The others can figure this out
>Something else

We need all our energy for the mid battle, untested, synchro.
Aria is psychic too.
>Help defend. The others can figure this out
Trust in Robin

>The main group as a PC
is that a typo?

Also I coincidentally found this.

We got anyone that knows Surf? Aim it down the hallway.

>You should plug Porygon into the vault door console
Time to earn your keep!

>>You should plug Porygon into the vault door console

>You should plug Porygon into the vault door console

>Help defend. The others can figure this out

>>You should plug Porygon into the vault door console
BEST DUCK

>You should plug Porygon into the vault door console
Can we have someone help defend while we do this?

Can't see why we couldn't.

already got posted yesterday. here it is with higher def

If we can I suggest Fel, let the others do the heavy lifting while the little guy can just slow down the attackers.

>Help defend. The others can figure this out

Well played.

why not /qst/ seriously

why not /qst/ casually

Because no.

why not /qst/ ironically

but I did use /qst/ ironically for a oneshot at one point in time

/qst/ is a blasted hellhole of /b/ risk games which ironically enough have even begun to infest Veeky Forums in spite of Veeky Forums ostensibly not allowing for that shit. So no /qst/ was a mistake, a mistake with good intentions BUT a mistake nontheless.

Why not /qst/ rhetorically?

really makes u think

why not /qst/ platonically

I've found some fun stuff there
unfortunately a lot of it dies out but some of it is still going strong

“What do we do?”

Robin thinks. “Reserve team. Time to shine. Remember our drills. Careful with sound moves in the tunnels.” She turns her attention back to the vault.

The rest of the group takes a defensive position. They’re cautious and ready to back up anyone that gets overwhelmed.

“Porygon!” You say.

Of course!” She looks to Professor Fir. He nods.

Instead of using the Pokedex like you expected, she grabs a cable from her pocket, sticks one end in her eye, and the other into the terminal.

“He’s been helping with it. You should see her eye laser now. It’s-”

He ducks as an attack comes by. You throw out Fel to help with Tailwind and powders. You take it a little easy since you don’t want to mess with the teamwork of the unit, but your help makes a difference.

“We’re in!” The huge vault door starts opening.

Fir stops at the console. “Porygon! Use the electrical grid and get out of here!”

It’s huge and dark inside. You, Robin, Clair, Violet, Fir, Schechena, and Geno get through before there’s a crash behind you. A huge Pokemon came through the side wall and is attacking the others from behind.

Lugia.

“Go! Close the door!” Alex yells. “Stop Hornbeam!”

Geno, Schechena, and Clair move to go back and help the group.

>Help the group
>Close the door before Geno, Schenena, and Clair can go back
>Close the door after they go back
>Something else

>Close the door after they go back

>>Close the door after they go back

>Quick Ball

Actually yeah I'll back

>Eye-laser
BUENO

>Help the group

What if it's already caught by Hornbeam though?

We have at no point in this quest even owned one. We do not even have most of our stuff on us right now anyways.

We wasted a ball. That's risk I'm willing to take.

A ball and initiative.

You seem to have forgotten we just got out of a prison cell for the first time in weeks like an hour ago.

>Close the door before Geno, Schenena, and Clair can go back

>Close the door before Geno, Schenena, and Clair can go back

>Close the door before Geno, Schenena, and Clair can go back

>Help the group

[So it looks like we have big ties. I'm willing to allow the quickball idea. You'd have to roll really well, but if you succeed it's an absurdly good payoff. If you fail you'll waste precious seconds and initiative.

To avoid vote splitting, we'll vote for ball/no ball. Then depending on how that goes, run-off from there]

>ball
>no

>no

>ball

>ball

MULTIBALL!

>ball

>ball

When did we ever get a quickball? Because according to the pastebin we never owned one

>no

>ball

>ball

>ball

>ball

If we are just allowed to have anything can we use our x-items to buff our pokemon?

When has taking big risks like this ever paid off for us?

[Time for the dice to redeem themselves! Show me your rolls!]

Rolled 99 (1d100)

Rolled 91 (1d100)

Gobble please, we don't own a quickball.

Rolled 31 (1d100)

Eye don't like your attitude.

Rolled 96 (1d100)

Welp, looks like the dice have decided to go with random shit we don't even have. Bye quest, you guys kick Hornbeam's ass.

Rolled 58 (1d101)

Is it roll under?

...

I have never been happier that my write-in won

...

You have serious issues.

a pokeball works just as well here
