Honestly I'm expecting 3e to die. We might see one or two more books but after that nothing. Oh if only I was rich then I'd by the license and skip straight to 4e. Actually no. I'd hire more people to take over 3e while making a separate line based on exalted but a different setting.

So, help me out a bit /exg/. I thought about homebrewing a martial arts style that focused on getting really angry and going full RIP AND TEAR, not like Infernal Monster which had the theme that you were becoming a brutal monster, but more in the vein of Guts or Doom Guy, where you're able to shrug off injuries and make over-the-top brutal attacks.
My question is, what should I use as the style weapons? My though is that it should allow light armor only, but for weapons I'm not sure if it should be unarmed only, or if it should have the chopping sword, axe, greatsword, and greataxe as it's style weapons. Also trying to think of a name, but first I want to figure out what style weapons are most appropriate.
To give you an idea of what I have in mind, I was thinking of one charm (probably an E3 charm) where you hit someone so hard they start to bleed out motes, or a form charm that lets you either ignore wound penalties or add them as bonus dice (though they still count as charm dice).

Ok, I know this is probably a dumb idea, but what about a specialised weapon tag (Shredding?) that does nothing or not much on its own (or maybe it copies the effect of a tag that gives bonus damage), and all weapons are in form as long as they have the tag and therefore tons of nasty spikes.

Yeah, I'm not actually versed at all in the system. I assume though that only Lethal tag is not enough, you might have to narrow it down to...I don't know, Lethal and of a certain size, or Lethal but never Thrown.

Only if you're playing the sort of game that involves meeting 3CDs and duck-punchers regularly. Not everything has to be high-flying adventure visiting Malfeas, Yu-Shan and/or the Wyld tho. You can have more local adventures defending kingdom from marauding undead and their abyssal paymaster boss and that nosy sworn brotherhood with no need for Shaping to ever come up.

Also wouldn't mind seeing a Charm that just lets you pay motes in lieu of suffering a crippling wound, because your arm grows back too fast for it to matter.
They made mention of some Dreamtime/leyline Charms that might pop up in Intelligence; that's got me super curious.

If I've got time to chicken-little about this or that, I've got time to work on pre-emptive houserules that express what I want Lunars to be in the first place. If the work goes to waste because it matches the dev vision, oh well, at least I got the practice in. If it doesn't, hey, it's release day and I'm already set to go.

I am currently in a game that I found online and it has been a wonderful time. I am playing as a sorta ex immaculate monk brawl dawn caste. When given the chance he prefers to protect mortals instead of harm them but sometimes his hand is forced. Some of the highlights of our game were putting down an old creature of the first age that grew greater from consuming its offspring. meeting a mercenary sage who is all about bad advice and good food. slowly taking over a town and me punching a man so hard when i wanted to give him a light tap that i almost killed him with rolled over bashing damage and leathal damage from him taking down a temple from flying into it.
all in all it is 50% high octane action and 50% scooby do style mystery solving

So during this weekend's session, I ended up chain casting Flight of the Brilliant Raptor to exterminate a bunch of filty baby-eating fae and the forest they were hiding in.
Since casting was basically all I was doing due to I had access to flight and the fairies didn't, I talked my ST into letting me keep leftover smotes as long as I kept casting the same spell.
Reasonable? Or Bullshit?

After the decisive attack, you reset to base initiative, which is enough for another decisive attack. Admittedly, you get pretty shit damage with just 3 initiative. My primary source of damage in that scene was turning everything on the ground into hazardous terrain bonfires.
A bunch of the bastards got away, and the next couple scenes were devoted to hunting them down.

Meh? Lot of the stuff he's bitching about is super petty and seems to skip over why those changes were made (perfect equipment was removed because it was flat better than artifacts a lot of the time; but it was a Fae ""thing"" and thus is obviously sacrosanct), and claiming that anyone had any interesting adventures in the Wyld is suspect because it fails a basic "will anything I do here matter?" "LOL NO, ~INFINITE CHAOS~ MAAAAN!" test.
If the 3e team can make the Deep Wyld a meaningfully adventureable location I will be super pleasantly surprised, but until then I treat it as just a boundary beyond which nothing of note happens. More like the hypothetical stuff that the RL universe is expanding "into" than a location all itself. You know, if that "stuff" could give rise to a steady flow of soul-eating spacemonsters.

So, quick question concerning elements in exalted. It seems snow and cold is considered the domain of Blue Jade and Air Aspects, but what about Black Jade and Water Aspects? Can ice be a thing for both, or is that solely the domain of Blue Jade and Air Aspects? If so, what does a Water Aspect let out during anima flux, high-pressure streams of water that can cut or something?

Ice is shared between them, with slightly different connotations; ice through air is more about the biting cold and skin-piercing shards, while ice through water is more glacial, crushing and imprisoning you.

Alright then, cause I'm working on a Water-Aspect NPC, an older Dragonblooded who's come out of retirement as a favor to watch over a new band of Wyld Hunters and make sure they don't die. Let him cry bitch tears about 2.5e. Solars being the only ones playable after errata, so what of the Dragonblooded and the Sidereals? Solars got a lot of a attention yes, mainly because they were still the Exalted who were played the most by the end of the gameline. This left all the other splats out to dry (Minus Alchemicals, who didn't seem to really care that much) because they were made to function in 2e and the amount of work to make them usable was not worth it due to a broken base.
In essence, someone who willingly lives under a rock or has an opinion that 1e/2e was the chosen system. Realize that people have different tastes in the internet and move on.

We haven't really seen what an "aspected" MM relationship even looks like yet, so it's too early to say if Abyssals will even want to wield Orichlcum or what changes would have to be made to make it "viable" or whatever.

Not on who can use what, but Evocations are still limited to the corresponding MM unless you're a Solar.

I'm pretty sure that's because Solars are higher powered than everybody else, so Solar Evocations have to be balanced against Solar Charms, but Solar Charms are obviously generally higher tier than (say) DB Charms.

Lunars needed a rework on par with DB's and Sidereals. They could *work* in 2.5e, but needed massive work as their charmset was just all over the place.

Otherwise, I think DBs having a Supernal Ability would be interesting. At least in 1e, the starting charms left me with wanting more. I feel like it'd even the playing field a little between DB and Celestial Exalted, and make them stand out from their Elemental Aspects.
