A lot of CE deities are gods of deception, and your typical spree or serial killer are normal people before and after they do their killings, so I'd definitely say you could. LE can publicly say they're LE and be accepted in many parties, but I feel like CE needs to hide it.

This image always depresses me more than it should.

Those children trusted you, Oak.

They trusted you.

Depends on the party. Generally if everyone is okay with it and you remember that Chaotic Evil doesn't mean "retard with no restraint or sense of self preservation," you have a decent shot. And don't get pissy if you're character is deservedly killed.

>teaching strength to my mewtwo
Whyyyyyy

chaotic evil doesnt always mean "steal from other party members, kill townsfolk, pour chocolate milk down the drain"

you can be ruthless to your enemies, show no mercy, despise the weak, be selfish, without having to resort to inter-personal conflict, since even evil people are human

likewise you dont have to try and break every law you can find for no reason, you can simply be a an anarchist, who believes that life without limitations is the way it should be lived, not necessarily making the constitution a checklist of things to break

easy, CE can act like functioning people within a limited setting, such as even CE people can have friends and whatnot, so you can be friends with your party and be an evil little shit everywhere else.
gotta go with loki styled CE user.

Did the guy who wrote these tips play the game?

Hopeman from Danganronpa is a decent example.

You could reasonably call Rance Chaotic Evil but he's still a damn hero.

CE protagonists can in fact exist

im not sure who rance is, but if he is CE, but still fights the BBEG, then CE hero he is

Is Deadpool CE?

depends on the writer

sometimes he's closer to very violent CN, where his goal is to have money, and have fun, but not necessarily cause pain

other times he is very clear he lkes, not just money, but killing people, and causing suffering in his victim causes him great delight

He's more Chaotic Neutral than evil.
He still had good intentions.

It's possible to play every alignment together in the same party without it being more trouble than it's worth.
Okay, no, a nine player party might be bad, but still.

You just need to have the players on board when making their characters.

I love that glorious bastard.

>without being more trouble than it's worth?

The key phrase here.

No, it isn't.

yeah
See Bishop on NWN2
Don't make it some super secret (not that the player can't have secrets) that they're a class A fucko, but give them some reason to play nice with the party

Yes. CE doesn't necessarily mean you have to be a lolsorandumb serial murderer who kicks puppies or tries to backstab the party at every juncture. No more than being TN means you should attempt to kill all good and evil people for neutrality to triumph. It merely means that you're an egoist with little respect for authority.

An asshole mercenary who fights for money and has no regards for law due to his itinerant nature can very well be CE. He sticks with the party because it pays well and also for a myriad possible personal reasons. This character doesn't have to commit lolrandumb crimes all of the time, nor is he inherently unable to conduct meaningful relationships with party members of other alignments.

Posting CE protagonist in a party of some CNs and an LN

He is more CN for his setting. He is a dick but there is no sort of malice.

Remove Sill permanently (or in more recent games some of the other strong relationships) and he would go atraight to CE

Yes, be a dick and come up with dickish solutions to problem but don't actually do anything evil. Otherwise the players have to kill you.

Guts from Berserk is CE. He follows no laws but his own, draws his sword near immediately instead of attempting to defuse the situation, and and actively enjoys hurting / killing people.

No.

Is Drow society LE or CE?
They seem to possess qualities of both

those who care for lolth's will know that the extremely harsh rules of their system exist purely for the chaos it brings when people try to follow them, and the chaos it brings when people try to break away from them.

it is a dark age of law
