Well I currently have two rhinos, one razorback and one drop pod. Pretty great for me but that seems ridiculously overpowered. I might not use it.

Being forced to take that many units is just not how I want to play the game.

How does this sound for a DaoT infantry weapon?

A semi-automatic plasma-weapon capable of firing an adult thumb-sized round every second, with a flamethrower option for secondary fire. It's also strong and sturdy enough that a man in power armor can use it to beat someone to death.

Can I play a legal army with these pieces?

Of course. But anything but drop pod spam makes the gladius just good, rather than amazing. Plus, any list that takes free razorbacks or rhinos is clearly a fluffy list, which means most times the rest of the list will also be fluffy, which, while with marines can still be strong, is definitely something that most armies can take on.

DAoT Tech is almost Eldar tier because Humanity Fuck Yeah that's why.
Way more esoteric and way more powerful is the go-to with DAoT stuff.

It can be OP or not, all about the rest of the list.
If you take all pods, and use the free points to take stuff like grav cents and grav bikes? Yeah, it's op.
Using it to kit out things like sergents or run full man assualt squads with jumppacks? Not so much.

With it CSM are mid tier, but on the lower end of the teir.

It depends on your opponent. If you know he's not bringing flyers than I'd take a third Neutron, but if not then you'd want the array.

Looks pretty good overall though.

At 2000 points against space marines, if you aren't bringing stuff to be able to deal with fucking rhino pattern vehicles, free or not, then you deserve to lose. That's just bad list building.
Moreover, such a game is most likely going to be a for fun game, so who gives a shit who wins. As long as everyone enjoys the game the outcome doesn't really matter.

A DaoT weapon is somethings that turns your blood into c4 which it then detonates like a bomb

I'm inclined to agree. When I first heard about formations I thought they were terrific, but their lack of flexibility and often overpowered rules leads me to believe it's simply an attempt at selling more models.

Well adding daemons helps. You could do a Cabal + KDK list. You can take a bunch of flyers like fire raptors, take renegade knights, or add an ordinance tyrant list from renegade and heretics. I've also seen their daemon prince formation do work. Lots of options, just none of them focusing solely on the csm codex.

You realize there is a formation of just 3 riptides? And you can spam that legally in bound games?

Well that is better since it's bound. Proper organization is important aspect of list creation

I feel like kdk would have been perfect if all units had just gotten free MoK. Chaos' greatest weakness remains their universal overcosted units that will never be corrected until a new book drops

I'm torn between using Kharn or just saying fuck it. when i thought his formation was only 2 Zerkers i considered buying another, but it's actually 4 so fuck that. but then i notice the Veterans of the legions exists, and can just be y one zerker unit

On the other hand, Kharn's model is sweet and i've never used a CSM special character due to playing IW. but now i see the Fist of the gods, and of course the hunting pack are perfect for my existing IW models.

I really wanna field the Chaos warband, i just like how concise and ordered it is.

The story series have been edited, now all mentions of Swiftblade are female. He is back to his original gender which is female! I am shocked. The BL editors do really care.

So I just finished Dan Abnett's Titanicus and I really enjoyed it. I was thinking about converting my skitarii to look a little more fanciful and feral like they're depicted in their older artwork and in some of the fluff.
