Serious question. I received $50,000 inheritance from family.
Need some high-risk high-reward investment ideas. No bitcoin or crypto. I will probably invest a bit in that myself, but need other ideas. So, what would you invest parts of $50k in if you're a young 21 year old?

This. Any of the big three canadian weed outfits are a safe medium term bet (hold 12 months). They are: Aurora Cannabis (most potential to 2x or 3x), Canopy Growth, and Aphria. You can also do the Horizon marijuana ETF (HMMJ), which will shield you slightly from the volatility of the individual stocks.
These are very volatile and will continue to be until legalization goes through and business gets established and predictable. Don't worry about that. Just hold and never panic sell if they drop 10 or 20 percent in one day, they do that and they recover.

I've heard it's pretty good. Expect more states to legalize in future elections. US pot stocks are pretty popular among day traders right now because of all the volatility. I'm not sure if there are reasonably good bets on long holds though. Any US anons know?

Open an investing account. Go to bnn.ca, click on the marijuana news tab, look at the top traded companies listed, select two or three and make sure to buy in when they're down a bit. These stocks are volatile and can lose 10%-25% over the course of a couple days. That's when you pounce.
