How many World Eaters does it take to change a light bulb?
Jaxson Wilson
I don't know user, how many World Eaters does it take to change a light bulb?
7 is the only correct answer.
Dominic Barnes
[Spoiler] OH FUCK I MEAN 8. HAVE MERCY SKULL FATHER

Brilliant. Cheers!

>Playing Orks in Kill Team tournament >Call them "The Krumpin Krew" >Specialists: Squig-Eye Sam, Donald Krump & Bigoted Big-Jaw >All painted >Everybody else is running unpainted models >No names >No forging the narrative >Still lose every single game to scouts
Fuck, you got my hopes up for a second that it might be Necromunda.
Ian Thompson
I played against a Ork KT the other day that consisted of Kommandos. It was fun to go against with my Genestealers but I completely ruined him.
My Broodlord cast The Horror on one of his burna armed kommandos all game till he broke and ran away, and my various stealers kept getting into CQC with him and just ruining him. I felt bad, especially because I've done multiple Ork armies over the years and have absolutely no intention of starting one with the current codex.
Ork resurgence when?
Brandon Collins
Surprisingly little compression. Good work, user
Owen Brown
Nice
Eli Lee
Are those hover wheels?
Would it reroll dangerous terrain?
Jaxon Perez
Not my cup of tea but thats one more subfaction out of the way before a main army codex is finally coming.
Bentley Kelly
Also nice to see what presumably would be something very different. Even Deathwatch shared a lot of SM stuff.
Caleb Butler
Freebooterz subfaction when?
Wyatt Brown
Thanks a bunch user!
Dominic Miller
Formation: 9 flash gitz squads Restrictions: all units must be max Benefits: warlord trait reroll and rage
Be careful what you ask for. You might still get shit.
Landon Gomez
...
Leo Torres
Nice. Hopefully less of a shoddy shitshow than the Deathwatch codex.
Jack Gray
This doesn't really say "Limousine" to me.
Eli Moore
Announcement has inspired me to make a themed list of genestealer cults when it comes out. What tyranid MCs are worth checking out to drop upon the enemies whilst the cults prepare the land for their ascension?
Caleb Young
Imperial guard regiments subfactions when?
Ethan James
Doesn't look retarded enough.
Elijah Thompson
A Lictor formation would be most in keeping.
Vanguards gotta stick together, right?
Kayden Hall
delete this
Andrew Mitchell
That was fast.
Samuel Evans
Cult limousine wasn't the only vehicle cultists could get. Though fat chance of them getting Russes or Predators this time. I bet they'll just be like Scions with 2-3 infantry units and a transport, mainly for allying with other groups.
>inb4 they can't ally with tyranids
Easton Gomez
the music and the dialogue in that trailer is actually pretty cool, I really like the art style too, lets hope we get a similar style for the book itself.
also the neo-taurox looks a hell of a lot better than the original, IG players be jelly
Cameron James
The fact that it's a non-retarded looking combat truck is good enough for me; I had no expectations of GSC ever getting any vehicles at all, so this is already amazing. Hopefully it's open-topped, because a assault transport for hybrids would be amazing.
William Turner
Depends on what you want them to do really. I wouldn't think the cults would be around long enough to fight alongside MCs, but who cares really.
Flyrants are basically a given since they're so good. Shitting devourers all over the place while forcing anything nit AA to snap shoot and also being a psyker is pretty good. As long as there's no AA.
Tervigons are good too for shitting termigaunts everywhere.
Andrew Kelly
waht is this i dont even
Jason Ortiz
im wrecking local ork kill teams with my dark eldar that's how you know there needs to be a new fucking codex
John Garcia
>looks actually pretty good >autocannon + heavy stubber >maybe Open-topped, probably Fast Interesting.
Cameron Young
they should have the 1st and 2nd gen mutants for choppy, the 3rd and 4th gen mutants for shooty, the abberations for smashy, the purebreed genestealers as elite troops and a (hopefully) assault transport to tie it all together
they may get another vehicle too, the rumours said a flyer of some kind but I'm not sure if thats very likely, still if they do get assault transports then the purestrain genestealers might actually be good now
Andrew Nguyen
I'm betting there'll be a standard limo conversion of it within a week.
Possibly two kits to extend it? Fancify it a little and you have an armoured limo for planetary nobles and whatnot.
Charles Rivera
Wonder how it'll affect the sales of Tauroxes.
Easton Myers
never.
But don't feel too bad, this is GW's way of doing things; each new codex is better, so you keep buying new stuff.
Jaxon Diaz
Would anyone even notice if a Haemonculus became a Genestealer cultist?
Haemoncumagus: Hey kids, three arms and facial ridges are the latest hip trend!
Jaxson Martinez
If they made a dual kit, gen 4 and 3 can be put to the same box with different arms and heads to make shooty and choppy units. Gen 3 would be a more special unit with choppy in mind. Gen 4, as far as I remember, should be just genestealers.
So 2 new boxes (Gen 3-4, and gen 2), old genestealer box, truck and 2 character blisters?
Nicholas Foster
they're supposed to be getting a flyer of some sorts. I'd rather have a limo, but hey.
Ayden Murphy
The limo could be the flyer. Dukes of hazard style
Nicholas Collins
That's an old conversion
Charles Jones
Shoot the synapse Etherials first!
Nicholas Stewart
You know an adaptation the hive mind should make?
Small synapse creatures.
Everyone always shoots the big ones first, after all.
Gabriel Ross
I can't fit 12 Hybrids in that! Please be open-topped or assault
Joseph Clark
afraid you're remembering wrong m8
1st and second gen are horrifically mutated half human half tyranid, 3rd gen are at least humanoid and 4th gen are almost indistinguishable from humans on the outside, the 4th gen is also where the primus and magus appear, then their offspring, the 5th generation are pure genestealer, there are also aberration births which are 1st or 2nd gen hybrids who came out 8~9 foot tall, covered in chitin and dumb as a sack of bricks, and the patriarch which is the oldest tyranid of that cult and super well hard, so 3 boxes minimum, (1st and second, 3rd and 4th, and aberrations) the genestealer box, a truck and 3 character blisters, big release
Colton Roberts
forgot my picture
Hudson Clark
>new sub faction that isn't SoB >no grognards complaining that it isn't a SoB release
is it finally over? are they gone forever?
Luis Martinez
I wonder if they will still be come the apocalypse with nids
Sisters relaunch when
Carson Adams
here's another picture showing the difference between the 4 generations, personally I don't think they'd be able to make the later and earlier generations compatible because of the extreme difference in appearance between a 1st gen and a 4th gen
Brayden Hill
Your pic is horrible. But your explanation is sound and correct.
Connor Peterson
See that's where it's kinda illogical?
Starting out on the subtle end makes more sense, with them furiously inbreeding more and more alien hybrids until they start pooping out more Purestrains.
Also the canon structure means the Magus is one of the youngest hybrids, rather than one of the elders of the cult.
Austin Harris
This new stuff or a White Dwarf from '03?
Bentley Wood
>3rd gen are at least humanoid and 4th gen are almost indistinguishable from humans on the outside
Which corresponds to the two types of cultists you got in the Overkill box, one being almost pure human with a big of a ridge on the nose/forehead, and the other having genestealer style heads and bony claws for arms.
Isaac White
yes, but that's how it works. The infected human parents are really protective of their offspring despite physically being little monsters.
Then the lil monsters infect other humans, and you get more humanoid monsters, who in turn infect other humans
Finally when the hybrids can pass among normies, that's when the cult reaches it's peak power and starts climbing political ladders and overthrowing local governments.
Jaxon Bennett
>1st or 2nd gen hybrids who came out 8~9 foot tall, covered in chitin and dumb as a sack of bricks
These don't look that massive.
Camden Garcia
here's me thinking that the October WD was going to be all about burning of prospero. Oh wait that's november.
Then december do we get the bloodbowls?
Cameron Perez
He's talking about the Aberrations.
Angel Roberts
hue
Xavier Thomas
Don't like the visibly inhuman heads in that kit for 4th gen, given that they're meant to be the generation usually able to pass through security checkpoints unless they're strip searched or scanned on a genetic level.
Compare to say, a novel where a planetary governor was a fourth gen hybrid and nobody noticed until he pulled a pistol with a third arm he'd been pretending was a pot belly.
James Gutierrez
>and aberrations
Or they'll just do Chaos Cultist thing and let people use the Overkill ones without an official release for now, if ever.
Gavin Campbell
The "Big dumb fucks" are those in the right bottom corner.
Robert Williams
Ork, eldar and tau hybrids when?
Gavin Perez
st or 2nd gen hybrids who came out 8~9 foot tall, covered in chitin and dumb as a sack of bricks Where do you get that from? In the original fluff, those things in the pictures are 1st/2nd gen hybrids. They're close to being stealers, so pretty animalistic. Not big/dumb though.
Those are the aberrants, but I'm not sure where they fit into the fluff, because they didn't exist before.
Parker Rodriguez
No the initial is half breed and as time goes on the generations become less pure genestealer Then the 4th gen has some weird shit that makes it pure again - though with some human aspect I'm sure
Wyatt Moore
Can I expect to get a new Astra militarum codex or supplement in the near future? As much as I like the Cadian supplement, it's very expensive point and moneywise.
Jackson Edwards
its actually surprisingly common for minor mutations to be present on fringe outlying worlds of the imperium, usually brought about by exposure to a hostile atmosphere or hazardous chemicals so someone with a slight ridge or weird skull formation may get a free pass as "human enough" on most worlds
Hudson Ortiz
Humans are varied - a certain level of difference is acceptable eg void clans
Gabriel Sanders
Well yes, becoming less Genestealer by generation would make sense without the 5th gen Purestrains thing.
But with it, it makes more sense for inbreeding to force less and less human hybrids.
And again, the Magus being one of the youngest cultists doesn't sit all that well with me.
Kayden Perez
>Can I expect to get a new Astra militarum codex or supplement in the near future No idea. No rumours pointing that way whatsoever.
BUT. They are releasing 13th Black Crusade stuff. And Cadian Regiments were in pretty damn big role in that conflict. So there might as well come book involving Cadians.
John Lopez
1st and 2nd are horrible mutants (), 3rd and 4th are semi to mostly human () Magus and other high ranking members of the cult are 4th. 5th gen is purestrain genestealers.
I'm guessing the logic is that it takes a few generations for the cultists genetics to work itself out and produce infiltration units to infect more generations. By the time the cult has grown several generations, it's ready to start producing actual shock troops in the form of purestrains and take over the place in anticipation of the hive fleet arriving.
Easton Parker
> Hive mind synapse web of millions of bacterial spores > Even the air is anti-psyker
Hudson Martinez
>there are also aberration births which are 1st or 2nd gen hybrids who came out 8~9 foot tall, covered in chitin and dumb as a sack of bricks
he's talking about aberrations
Landon Wright
>"Fuck Eldar" said the hivemind
Nicholas Morales
>Eldar breathe in anti-Psyker and die >Even the Eldar in void sealed suits suffer massive leadership penalties and feel constantly queasy, suffering -1 to WS and BS >Nids become a hard counter to scatterspam
Jason Sanchez
ork hybrids existed long ago.
It was basically unlucky stealers that ended up infecting orks because it was the only vaguely sentient thing around.
Similar kind of set up though, and ork stealer cults do okay for themselves because hybrids are good fighters.
I kinda hope they do dig that idea up again. Fucking hell, they would have been great in gorkamorka; much better than fucking digganobs.
Parker Jackson
Jeenlootaz.
Cooper Wright
But the purestrain is vital as it can infect tons more by ovipositor and serve as muscle plus it will be needed afterwards to spread off world It may also be more efficient in harvesting useful genetics
Gabriel Rogers
its part of the tyranid infiltration strategy, usually only one or two genestealers manage to sneak onto a world and if they bred increasingly high numbers of acolyte hybrids then the sudden appearence of large quantities of horrifying mutants could draw the attention of higher authorities like the inquisition, therefore its better for genestealer genetics to be pseudo recessive so the bulk of the genestealer cult appear atleast partially human and can interact with other humans and so the real gribbly purestrain genestealers only start to appear when the cult has grown to sufficient size and political power to be able to hide them
Cameron Ross
Cadians already got their supplement in Mont'ka.
Ryder Bennett
Get some psychological counselling
Justin Wilson
there has never been eldar stealer hybrids. It obviously wouldn't work.
I wouldn't mind expanding on tau stealer cults because that could be cool (melee oriented tau) But mostly because I would be able to shit all over Tau which I can't fucking stand. The little blue bastards with all those fucking guns and missiles.
Tyler Jenkins
Ork Genestealers don't work. Orks don't fuck.
Brody Nguyen
Of course they're useful, but by what the fuck mechanic does someone 93.75% human birth a Purestrain?
Jordan Walker
Your point was? Black Legion already got their supplement. And then they got more in Traitor's Hate.
Jaxson Lee
wait, that makes no sense, nevermind its just geedubs operating on rule of cool again
Isaac Collins
i want to do alpha legion just because of that model. >now stahp with the dank memes.
Asher Jones
check your history bro. Ork stealer hybrids are a thing. I expect that the spores are infected and grow into hybrids rather than be born hybrids.
Nolan Reed
Infect their DNA, infect their spores.
Start sporing out an entire ecosystem of Genestealer hybrids. Genegrots. Genesquigs. Gargantuan Squigenegoths.
Caleb Powell
the reason the eldar can't get hybrids is because the eldar genome was constructed by the old ones to be almost impervious to mutation with a built in failsafe to ensure that any mutations that did manifest would render the eldar fetus completely useless
Isaiah Murphy
>mechanics >40k The whole tyranids biomass thing doesn't make sense, they regularly change the fluff in tau and tyranid travel methods due to infighting about wether everything is the warp and also whether the big 4 are all there is to the warp Stop being so autistic
Jaxon Ross
they just do. that's how it goes mane. It's all crazy biology science mumbo jumbo. or it might be a fictional universe, y'know. Take your pick.
