So i have been thinking about collecting Knight Models Batman miniatures ( knightmodels-store.com/epages/afaa2a23-c31d-4ae6-b1cd-12757513fd3b.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/afaa2a23-c31d-4ae6-b1cd-12757513fd3b/Products/SSGB03 ) but i would like a few opinions before i actually commit to buying anything

Does anyone have any experience with this game?
What are the quality of the models themselves?
is the game fun/balanced?

i have a few people willing to join up and the local game store has said they will start stocking them if we can get more interest in them but has told us we can play games in store on games day (to generate interest).
TG help a fledgling neckbeard out and give me some reviews on this

>Does anyone have any experience with this game?
it's a fun game. really only good if you are a fan of comics. it has some cumbersome rules that are not full explained and the dice rolling is 40k level simple. overall it's an all right game

>What are the quality of the models themselves?
they are slightly above average model but they will not look good if you are not a good painter. they are also 32mm models not 28mm like infinity or 30mm like warmachine

>is the game fun/balanced?
for the most part the game is balance. some people will bitch about the chaos agent rule but the game is not designed like over wargames, it is a casual game but competitive.

it a really niche game that is for the comic book fan who really likes war gaming, the two player box is really a really good buy though

I start playing with the first edition and we are now in the third.
It improved considerably from back then, most of the kinks are out and everything is works fine.
It is cinematic, games will end vastly different and mostly seems fair to one (except fuck Assault Rifles).
Quality can range, there are some really good sculpts which were fun to paint and look good even with mediocre skills but then there are models require good skills, some stylistic but simple model (animated) and lastly just shit one (the first katana).
Balancewise it works fine they are some outlinier (batsignal got an insane buff; joker is forgiving and easier if both players are starting out and some crews don't have much option variety)
But as much depends on how you use your models there isn't much autolose option as long as you don't do extremly stupid shit.
There is also some varienty of each forces with a good range of model to be shared among each other.

Now some complaints: Knightmodels are retards, cm can be off-putting, price is high for solo model, batsignal are too strong against some crews, some faction are not very well supported and lastly prepare for atleast another fucking batman and joker a month.

> cm can be off-putting
What is cm?

Centimeters
The game uses them instead of inches.
>inb4 ha stupid burgerlanders can't into the metric system
Its not that it makes things inconceivable, its just that finding a metric only tape measure is a pita, and using a English/metric hybrid tends to lead to errors form using the inch side out of habit since every major game uses inches.

Nah the offputting is whenever I roll a 6 I am sad it only is 16 cm and not 16 inches.
Also without premeasuring calling gun range is not for everyone

>without premeasuring
Premeasuring is allowed though...

...

I got the box as I've wanted to play the game for a while. This game is heavily dependent on how you use the models

Bump

Dude, this game is so niche even tg doesn't know about it. I wonder is co is about this game?

Nah, we have threads about it pretty often. Much, much more often than 70% of all the miniature games on the market right now, at least. You must be new to wargames.

not really new to wargames. just new to this game as it is just not that popular. at least its good to see that there is more interest in this game than i thought

so I didn't watch the bat v sup movie, so how do you think the new batfleck will play?

>What are the quality of the models themselves?
I have a few I got just to have.

Very detailed, fun to paint. Bitch and a half to put together with very small parts made of cheap white metal.

What?
Dropfleet, GW, Warmachine, Infinity, Malifaux, Frostgrave, Guildball, Kings of War and Battletech are constantly up. (Historical are a category in itself.)
Even in the alternative miniature thread Batman is rarely mentioned but the Marvel one seems popular.
Thread only pop-up once or twice when releases are out and don't have many replies.
Atleast on Veeky Forums it is rather unknown/unpopular, the only international community seem to be the two Facebook group.
70% is only right if you count North Wind rules systems, and some other one-shot systems

Wait till next month, knight models are releasing a started box for suicide squad that is great value- 100 euro for rulebook. 14 models, all the tokens and even terrain and lamps you will need.
me and my housemate have bought in big time, its really fun, but not the most balanced of wargames.

Starter box derp. most of the stat cards are out for it so far too, im picking it up as most of the squad will work for just about anyone and i have most of the joker models anyway

I'm anxious to see the rest of the joker henchman, especially curious how many are elite(cosplay)

>There are only like ten miniature games in the world, right

So new. And how have you managed to avoid seeing all the threads about this game?

Shit as it should be.

Like frank miller but with higher tech.
