B/W Art Thread

Can we get a bit of love for black/white art?

New major publications are all full color, which is fine, but old-school black/white art (line art or otherwise) has an appeal of its own. Bonus points if you can post cool RECENT b/w art. Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Horror... it does not matter!

I'll start with the maestro - here have some Bradstreedo.

I like a lot of classic black and white art too. It gave RPGs a certain appearance and worked especially well for cyberpunk/scifi games.

And yeah, Bradstreet was the boss.

Bumping with Rifts. Part of why the Ultimate Edition was subpar is because of the new art.

Most badass jetbike ever.

Some really iconic art.

Shit man. This image is, like, the Platonic Solid of Shadowrun illustrations for me and my friends.

Ah, memories.

Is that a World of Darkness illustrator with a Grimjack reference?

Where did that image appear?

Timothy Bradstreet is also, basically, the main artist of oWOD / Vampire the Masquerade. The official VtM illustration portfolio back then was comprised of his art. He later did Punisher cmoic covers and shit.

This particular image is from the Shadowrun campaign book Harlequin. For reference (not because I am trying to promote fucking /pol/-related "values"), I am also uploading the opposing page of the 2-page spread. In that scenario, the players are tasked with cutting off some elf ears, iirc.

"Hello? ... Who is this? ... 'Dog'??? Nah, I don't any runner by that name... What's your references...? ... Hello?"

Some old Paul Bonner stuff from 'Ere We Go.

Paul Bonner in black and white feels so weird.

Not sure who this is by or where it's from, but I think it looks fucking amazing.

I love his colour stuff, but he will always be that guy who did the old ork art to me. I think he was actually the person who convinced me to start collecting orks, over two decades ago.

Bennie Wrightson's illustrations for Frankenstein, apparently.

Ian Miller

yeah, it looks really good. i love this kind of style.

Anyone know who did this? Love the clean lines.

Gonna dump some Ian Livingstone shit. Only got the Firetop Mountain stuff though.

The fuck?, since when do Tatzelwürmer have wings?

a better phrased question would be: since when have they stopped having wings? the original wingless dragon is the cave dragon

>a better phrased question would be: since when have they stopped having wings?
Well, sometimes prior to 1998, which was when I started DSA.

newfag, lel :^)

I actually tried getting back in a few years back and the Thorwaler "muh noble savages" stuff actually got worse...

Also, why is there a fucking cannon?

well, they're a 13 year olds version of vikings

Guy Davis is a, somehow, oft-forgotten legend from the oWoD Days. He made a lot of iconic Vampire images, some of the best work the game had actually.

And he was basically the only one who could put the HORROR into supernatural horror.
