A spark awakens

The last PC you played has, after a dramatic moment awakened to planeswalker status.

What colours do they favor/how do they handle this dramatic shift? GMs, feel free to pick a notable NPC instead.

>level 9 samsaran wizard (pact wizard) who already has Plane Shift and Planar Traveler feat

O-Okay.

>shadowrunner
Blue/black, no question. Maybe red too, depends on how pink mohawky he's feeling at the time.

Green-black, probably. She just wants herself and her family to live quietly and in comfortable isolation.

Mono-blue. Does ALL THE SCIENCE. Tries to understand planeswalker status using advanced scientific principles and technobabble. Probably never stops trying to explain it like that even if being a planeswalker defies scientific explanation.

Yeah the character is from a Star Trek game.

>mad scientist supervillain with habits of brainwashing and robotizing people
Soo, white, some blue maybe?

Oh yeah
>how do they handle it
Laugh a lot, go mad with power, the usual.

Mono blue, but if he got the Jace treatment the next one would be blue/black and the third 5-color. Once you help create an assassin-clone of a price to murder an emperor with for the sole purpose of studying the magical technique used to do so, you're heading down a slippery slope and the only destination is ultimate power.

>Force Sensitive Besalisk
Grixis, he's ruled by his passions, he's highly self-interested, and he's controlling/foreseeing.

Probably travels the multiverse, gathering power.
Because power is fucking fantastic.

Green - white. He's a pretty chill dude who likes good company and his strong point is healing.

>Bookish, Obsessively Orderly Cleric of Artifice and Knowledge following a Dwarven Craftsman Deity suddenly awakens in a campaign dealing with an extraplanar invasion.

IT'S SYLEX TIME BITCHES. TIME TO GO BLOW UP THE POSITIVE ENERGY PLANE.

Teleporting dex-fighting Warlord in Pathfinder.
Probably white/red and all about unblockable.

> Misanthropic Eva pilot who hates his Nerv commanders, doesn't get along with the rest of the pilots, and fights the Angels because he has no choice.
> Gets a spark

youtube.com/watch?v=2zOBmC0qcN4

DnD 3.5 paladin with splash of monk. It is obvious he will have white color but maybe also red too.

How would he deal with not having his bigass mech? He sure can't bring it along.

>implying

is it true that garrape never comes back?
he was by far my faourite, directly followed by ayani who has a return in karazhan.
And Maro loves big green which Nissa doesnt really provide.
i just want Garruk back...

Piloting an Eva sucks balls, bro. He would just be happy to go somewhere else, anywhere else, where he isn't forced to pilot a torture machine in a losing battle against the inevitable death of the world.

Nerv can keep the Eva. He is out. Have fun with those Angels, you poor bastards!

Granted, he will probably come to regret leaving when he is older but by then Earth will be gone/Angel-land, so it will be too late to do anything about it. He is basically just in 'kid running away from home' mode, but now he has a way to run far enough away to be safe.

Garruk would make for a fucking terrible member of the Gatewatch. He doesn't give a shit about multiversal problems, he spent years trying to kill Lili and nearly killed Jace.

Nissa is the face of monogreen now, because she fits into the story. We might see Garruk again eventually, but I wouldn't expect it any time soon.

What is wrong with the three in the centre? The blue one has ridiculously stupid hair, the purple one has ridiculously stupid hair and a stretched face (and I think she's made of porcelain, are those etchings?) and what the fuck is wrong with the fire elemental's face/nose/sideburns?

I like the cat and He-Man.

>GAR Paladin

I don't know much about magic, but according to this chart, White Red. He also joins that Chainwatch thingy probably.

forgot the chart

this picture triggers me so much because the red text is facing out but the rest is facing in

Probably because red is supposed to be at the bottom.

>blue one
Jace is an anime protagonist, basically. He has stupid hair. That's the way of things.

>Purple one
Liliana made a pact with some really nasty demons for GREAT POWER, giving her the tattoos/etchings, not sure about her face tho.

>fire elemental
Chandra is from Technomagical India, that and it's just meh quality art.

i never said i want him to be a staple of the gatewatch.
however in my opinion his unfinished storyline is a great way to get him back into the story.
lilliana is now aprt of the gatewatch and it was already spoiled that the next visited plane will be Amonketh, an aegyptian style plane on which one of the demons she made a packt with exists. the gatewatch could get attacked by the still veilcursed planeswalkerhunting garruk and try to lift the curse instead of just recking him.
please Maro, dont just kill him off.

>Chaotic destructive rebelious tendencies.
>Red

Seems a perfect fit. Black actually wears at me more.

>Amorality
>Parasitism
>Selfishness
>Omnipotence
>Paranoia

The Champion of the Madaran Empire would like to have a word with the person responsible for this slander.

I thought Garruk's storyline was wrapped up in one of the duels of the planeswalkers games? You go and yank a hedron out of Ob Nix on Zendikar that he was using to surpress his own black mana infection back when he was cursed, bring it back and jam it into the side of Garruk's head to treat him and redirect all that black mana out of his body.

>13th level Drow Truenamer on a quest for godly power to bring Order back to the world after the death of the gods
Colorless/Mission Accomplished.

Order is white.

>playing Demon: The Fallen
>high Faith Luciferan Namaru with a magic sword

ANGEL PLANESWALKER WOO.

He'd be R/W/B probably. He'd be glad to have escaped the shitty World of Darkness. Not sure how he'd fare against other planeswalkers.

Mid-experience warhammer Genetor from RT.

Blue-Green. Sweet Emperor, all the technology. All the knowledge. Being able to pact with entities capable to fuck with greater daemons. Sweet Omnissiah!

>technology that isn't biotech
>green
pick one

>Being able to pact with entities capable to fuck with greater daemons.
>not black
Also pick one.

>Fey Sorceress who wants to put everything back the way it was so that everyone gets along via the power of mind control

Uh, White/Blue I guess? Though I could maybe see Green in there too, I'm not really familiar with Magic enough to say.

She probably just continues on with her goal and grabs a lot of power.

>Genetor

>>Being able to pact with entities capable to fuck with greater daemons.
Blue!

>pyromanical midget with a hard-on for gold and shekels currently questing for "aaaaaaall the town's money!" now gets a way to create even more fortune by traveling planes and burn stuff to ashes for the shekels and lulz

Oooooh giddy, mono-red for the win I guess!

>money!
Red-black, m8.

Why black though? He does spend the money on retarded things to have fun (like, he paid 4 poor guys to battle each other where the one who collected 10 teeth first got the money)

Greed is black. Hedonism is also black, with red overlap.

Mono red would burn things because lol anarchy or arrrrgh rage.

Ah, I see. Thanks. Well, at least black is another neat color too.

Green's shaping up to be pretty tech-savvy in Kaladesh, so it could work.

Green on Kaladesh inspires the actual inventors, not builds things. It's about natural beauty and natural flow of aether.

>Berserker and priest of the God of Death, also medic and cook as a hobby.

youtube.com/watch?v=a6BbvCC0VI0

Meat is always on the menu now boys! Now with more variety!

My barbarian becomes a plainswalker....but he has no magic, I mean how does that even work? As for colors, assuming it could work probably green and red. Though in some prints he might be white green since is chaotic good alignment and I sorta play him like barbarian not!paladin.

All planeswalkers can use magic. Not sure if all could before getting the spark. Perhaps the spark gives him the ability, but he has no idea how to cast anything yet.

Maybe the rage is a red buff spell that is cast by instinct.

Edge of the Empire with high fantasy races instead of aliens.

A Harpy Sith Mystic Seer

Probably monoR or RG.

Makes sense actually. And you can't tell me totem paths aren't magic, that shit ain't natural.

>Tiefling Death Cleric

Mono-black as fuck

>awakened to planeswalker status
>What colors do they favor?
I have no idea what that means.

Then why are you posting in this thread, shithead?

Because fuck you.

Alright, new question for everybody in here your pc turned plainswalker gets printed, what are it's abilities and what is it's mana cost?

>A spark awakens...

For one second there I thought this was the thread announcing the Magic movie and that was the title.

wew

You're pretty fucked now, Umbrella corp.!

John T. Fitchermam, Cleric of Paladine, basically becomes the Elspeth replacement 'walker but Fitchermam is low-level right now so he's just rocking white and maybe blue. Later iterations (Fitcherman, Steelhearted Servant?) will add red because hos memory got wiped so the return of ot will make him something something Nahiri something MURDERTHEMAGES. Then he goes WB and all is lost.

PC? White. Bad side of White, even, oppressive side.

NPC? Well, the players are currently in the elemental plane of fire, playing gladiators for the efreet sultan and his court, so... REDREDREDREDREDRED for the fat rich absurdly powerful sultan? Or REDREDREDRED for his spoiled daughters? Anyway, red.

The Toreador I played in my group's last vamp game. Amoral, Impulsive, but understands the importance of Order.

Looks like it's Mardu for me.

My thri-kreen is probably blue/green, since he's a psychic warrior with a whole host of useful buffs and concealment options, but he's got quite a lot of attack power and combat abilities from being a fighter as well. He'd probably handle the ignition fairly well, since he's got so many pluses to his fear-related will saves.

>Silverbrow (but with black dragon ancestry, instead of silver) Human Conjurer/Sorcerer/Master Specialist/Ultimate Magus.
>Later converted to 5e as slightly altered Mystic Theurge combining Wizard and Draconic Sorcerer
>Currently level 10
Probably Blue/Red. As a wizard he strongly favours knowledge, logic and strives to understand everything, but his draconic blood gives him violent, chaotic urges he usually controls. And one of his goals is to unlock his full potential, and become a full-blooded dragon. With his newfound power he'll be able to do this.

>A decade old 90 xp Malkavian with solipsism and some pretty incredible precognitive and prophetic powers

So I guess Black and a little blue?

He handles it by acting like there was never a point in his life where he didn't have Planeswalker powers.

Also I guess he would have Scry and Madness or just effects that are exactly those but called something else.

>local Commoner whose job is babysitting plant creatures in the stead of her late father

Mono-Green and loving every minute of it.

Monoblue as hell, rather annoyed that this is interrupting what she was doing, and wondering if it counts for not dooming humanity by her mere existence if she's no longer on that plane.
She then proceeds to be insanely curious about everything and anything she encounters.

Forgot he also has Dominate 4 so he would probably have an ability to take control of a creature.

...well, maybe he wouldn't meet

Matsu waifu.
Mono white. Exterminate, exterminate.

Mage, Prime & Time 5, Life & Matter 3

Dr. notWho already has travelled the Deep Umbra with his group so shifting off this Plane ought to be second nature. Chances are a Paradox backlash with Time sent him hurtling off somewhere. He'd never go back home because he forsook everything in his past life to be a Mage and explore the universe - planeswalking would just be the icing on the cake of Magely power.

His magic is Simic and sometimes Bant but he dabbles in everything. As a Planeswalker card...

Dr. Benjamin Reynolds
3UUG
Loyalty 6
+2: Target creature you control gains first strike and vigilance. You may draw up to two cards. If you do, discard a card.
-3: Target artifact, creature, or land gains indestructible until your next turn's end step.
-12: Each opponent gains an emblem with "Your maximum hand size is one." Then each opponent discards their hand. Restart the game with emblems from this game still active. You begjn the new game with double the starting life, opponents begin with half.

Because no one ever uses the ultimate, right? Dr. Reynolds sure as fuck would if he only could...

That is really a LOT more White than Blue (Indestructible, First Strike, Vigilance)

Given what he is, black and green. He'd probably use his newfound power to kill people even better while making more money doing so.

whats a planeswalker?

The idea is that he's using Time to do most of his magic with Matter more than Life as his secondary. He should probably still cost 2WUUG though, you've got that right. If he were a four-color Commander, he'd be 1WRGUU because he's got no Black-type tendencies.

My current character wants nothing more than to stay in as small a room as possible and endlessly tinker, so whether or not they'd even want to planeswalk would be up in the air.

As for her colour-identity, I sure as hell know what she's not. She's not Black, as she shows signs of following rules often too literally, and not white as her rules are the only ones that register in her brain. Past that, Red for her spastic, jumpy nature, Blue for her constant search for new things to implement into her overly complex designs, and Green for her physical, unconventional wisdom.

either mono white or white/red

with the shit he's seen & places he's been becoming a planeswalker isn't anything that would surprise him

L-8-soon-9 barbarian princess.
Like the daughter of a khan and a chinese empress. 150% dragon.

Red-White. Passion, fury, decisive action, integrity, honorable behavior as strict as any paladin's code. Struggles for wisdom she knows she lacks and exults in violence she's damn well mastered.

...another character might use planeswalking powers to evacuate the world before the atropal-like entity of shadow and death and oblivion consumes it. She wouldn't; fuck running from this piece of shit, let alone yielding her family's heritage and lands to it.

Probably stay for a lifetime, beginning to truly wander only when her husband had died.

>Lawful Evil Halfling Monk who wants to be the most shredded ubermensch in the world.

Probably Mardu colours, and he would probably deal with it pretty decently all things considered. Just a bigger scope to compare himself to.

Esper
Would turn into the new god phyrexia.
Enters the battlefield with 1 devotion counter
+1 put two 1/1 blue artifact homunculus creature tokens into play. sacrifice a homunculus at end step.
-3 exile three colorless non-land permanents you control, you may cast a permenant you own in exile.
-6 you get a emblem " spells you control have cascade and populate".

Star Trek Game, Vulcan Intelligence Officer.

Tends to get a bit annoyed if people assume that spycraft is all about sneaking, punching and seduction when it's mostly about her favourite part. Hours and hours of data analysis.

Dislikes people pointing out that she's actually really good at the non-analysis parts of being a spy too.

She'd be very confused what the ball is going on as magic is not a logical assumption and come to the conclusion is likely just people using the wrong name for psionic power. She'd be very interested in multiple universes however. She'd have to add a third prime directive to the ones she's sworn. Base, Temporal and now Planar.

Colour wise she's a very hard Blue with a strong tendency towards white as a very, very structured and rather moral person.

Quick draft in Magic Set Editor, no clue about power level.

Black and Red. He is a arrogant prince, who is self absorbed and obsessed with his family's name and power. Basically, A not so crazy Sigvald.

+1 should read: Put a -1/-1 counter on target creature.
-2 should read: Target opponent gets a poison counter.
emblem should read: "Creatures you control have deathtouch and infect."

Sorry I spend too much time in the /ccg/ threads.

I thought that there was something wrong with the wording. It was sort of a quicky so I didn't pay it too much mind.

7th level D&D sorcerer. Probably izzet with a splash of black.

That ult is fucking douchy.

It would be a pretty terrible choice for a title after TFA came out.

>AlmostABarbarian level of anger issues Inquisitor of the god of battle
Red
RED.
maybe white-red.

I'm not seeing him getting used to his absurd powers very easily, preferring to just kinda continue picking fights while making sure to purge cowards, poisoners, ect.

Hed be a temur spell slinger, leaning to red.
2RUG
+1 turn into a 2/4 Orc shaman with prowess and first strike
+0 untap target permenant and place a +1/+1 counter on it
-3 create an emblem that says "instants and sorceries you control cost R or U less and gain proliferate
-3 create a 5/1 red elemental with first stike and haste
3 loyalty
Hes an enh shaman for a warcraft Rp. Hed be pretty fucked up desu. Azeroth has a whole immortality thing and the burning legion would look like a joke compared to things like phyrexia. Honestly he would probably try to find a way back home as soon as he could figure out the whole mana connection because he eats breaths and shits the horde and finding a multiverse full of humans would be a nightmare for an orc who grew up racist.

> Explorer and scientist with a dislike for preordained destiny.
Mainly SCIENCE! blue, with some red inspiration and "take your fate into your hands" and a hint of good part of white morality and compassion.
