Infinity is a 28mm scale futuristic skirmish game by Corvus Belli where humanity only has about a dozen decent planets but at least they've made great maps of them.
You'd think "Human Edge" would be more than just a single spot. Unless this is just a chart meant to represent the stations.
Benjamin Thomas
Are these all the human planets? I thought the fabled "Archeon Falls" was about a planet named Archeon. Don't know much about the fluff, whats the rumored story suppose to be?
Lincoln Jenkins
Where is Ariadna?
Luke Adams
Acheron isn't a location, it's a blockade based around Paradiso stopping dirty aliens from getting to the rest of the human sphere.
So basically Paradiso is utterly fucked and CA is going to start taking over other planets soon.
John Price
Dawn
Christopher Miller
It's essentially the wormhole region leading into the Paradiso system from CA territory half a galaxy away. Despite horrendously low survival rates of incoming xenos ships, the EI has billions to spare anyway.
Easton Hill
Macho Omnidron will fuck you in the ass Macho Omnidron will fuck you in the ass Macho Omnidron will fuck you in the ass human boy Macho Omnidron will fuck you in the ass Macho Omnidron will fuck you in the ass Macho Omnidron will fuck you in the ass Fuck you in the ass, you punk ass human boy DJ Macho Omnidron yo, you can't touch me faggot You not manly enough Macho Omnidron you, you can't touch me faggot Uh, I'll fuck you in the ass Macho Omnidron will eat your asshole alive you bitch

Batroids Batroids watcha gonna do? Batroids Batroids watcha gonna do when they come for you?
Zachary Bailey
I keep losing to PanO as alpeh. What am i doing wrong?
William Stewart
That depends on what you have, what your opponent has, what kind of scenarios you're playing and how the terrain is laid out. Also your tactics.
Blake Wood
Nah man, Ninjas gonna bring that next level shit
Charles Flores
Attempting to outgun them?
Leo Morris
On the off chance user that wanted to start with Haqqislam from the last thread is here, here's what I'd go with. It builds on the stuff you get with Red Veil. That is to say, the Haqqislam Starter Box + HMG Fasid. So if you've got a friend who's into Yu Jing, this is an easy in for you. Or hell, just get the starter box, the HI blister, and 4 other blisters, and you're done.
Basically, the Ragik in group 2 gets swapped into group 1 with a command token when you take your first casualty. So he's probably popping out unexpectedly later in the game, which is usually best.
The list has a lot of familiar faces for Haqqislam players. A bit of meat, some long range stuff, a few surprises and disruption options, and a little midfield presence where you need it. It could do with a hair more specialists, but the ones you have are pretty flexible, so that should be able to tide you over. Should set you back less than $150, or thereabouts, and it's 300 points.
That ninja just wants you to punch him as hard as you can.
Kayden Clark
Can't open the scheme creator. Anyone else having an issue?
Nathaniel Stewart
They are planets that are part of the "Human Sphere"
Chase Allen
Been getting into infinity a lot more recently, and properly loving it. Want to dive into 300 points with my buddy the Anathematics, but finding it hard to hit a decent number of orders and hit 6 SWC (most my lists are like 3-4 SWC at most). How much of an issue is this? What do you guys think of this list?
Jaxon Taylor
isn't the viral rifle lasiq better then the sniper one for such an army? would help with mid field control.
Juan Campbell
That's not a bad idea. A spitfire on the Ragik or Khawaji would help a lot with that as well. The Lasiq sniper is just such an iconic Haqqislam unit. And the X-Visor helps keep the gun relevant.
Cooper Morales
Yeah, and can go supressive.
Parker Foster
>Playing Hassassin Bahram on a table friend built with his new terrain >He sucks at placing terrain >Have Lasiq in supressive on one side of the table locking down one objective >Muyib fireteam drops viral mines near the other and hold the middle >Friend to terrified to push in any direction because all his units are one wound specialists
Sometimes I need to remember to pull my punches.
Brody King
In answer to a question in the previous thread.
Aspect focused CA lists are some of the strongest Vanilla lists you can run. Not having Link Teams kind of sucks, but the fact that you have an army who are essentially immune to Loss of Lieutenant is pretty Gnarly.
Julian Bell
Also, most of the EI Aspect units are W2 heavy infantry with No Wound Incapacitiation is nothing to sneeze at either.
Angel Torres
Where have I seen that pose before? Some sort of cyber ninja, I think I have even drawn it when I was like 13. Crysis? Some video game for sure.
Brayden Gutierrez
I imagine Raiden or Jet Stream Sam from Metal Gear Revengeance being the character you're thinking of?
Lucas Nguyen
It's Grey Fox from MGS 1.
Adrian Barnes
Woop, there it is.
Isaac Jenkins
In a small fit of madness I bought this handsome little thing today. Thing is, I already have a regular Tikbalang, so I need to convert Eduardo a bit so it doesn't look like its brother. Any ideas?
Jason Bell
So, I'm looking at the Unidron kit, and it lists all of them as coming with a special weapon.
How would I get the base dudes who just have rifles? do they just come with those parts as well, or what?
Parker Lewis
Regular plasma unidrons are in the CA starter.
Isaac Davis
You need the CA starter box for the 3 carabine unidrons. That's a recurrent trend from Corvus Belli: if you want the basic cheerleaders you need to buy the faction starter pack, and then there's the 4-man SWC box with special weapons and equips.
Bentley Price
Is that the only way to get them?
Samuel Lewis
Well you could search ebay or similars for used models, or contact that guy in the official forums that provides the split-box service but he hasn't unidrons in stock right now. I don't see other ways.
Daniel Collins
Melt it's face a bit, in a handprint shape.
Luke Allen
Ok, just curious.
I'll likely end up getting the starter, but I was curious.
Luis Watson
Infinity is also a proxy-heavy game; you can use whatever as anything so long at it's clear what is what and you don't try to mindgame your opponents by switching trooper profiles around. So, there's nothing really stopping you from just getting the Unidron SWC box and saying they're all carrying carabines.
Xavier Rogers
But is he not a regular Tikbalang's brother?
Noah Taylor
I don't get the reasoning behind a TAG having two swords and no gun.
Dominic Morales
No wonder she got her head fried. Who has ever heard of a PanOceanian going for CC first and forgoing shooting?
Andrew James
I just finished painting a Tikbalang and now I'm kind of glad I got the double box one and not Toni. The double sword thing is just stupid. They could have maybe just swapped the weapons (shouldering the gun and holding the sword low), it would still look lazy, but not as bad.
Nathan Lewis
It'd be nice to have a second loadout for the Tikbalang that could be represented by this mini.
Andrew Mitchell
sure, but there isn't one.
Jaxson Garcia
Wouldn't kill the spaniards to throw in a profile with a Spitfire and a Templar CCW (because I doubt Dualwield PanO TAGs will ever be a thing) instead of the HMG/HFT. It'd be mostly for fun anyway, because barely anybody would take it.
Lincoln Sanders
How come we don't have more outdated/surplus/tank-like TAG models for the less better off factions? Stuff that looks more clunky like the szalamandra or magharibas. Seems like a missed opportunity.
Charles Sullivan
Because there are inly so many 'HMG and one more gun' types of units needed in the game.
Connor Lee
Getting back into the game, haven't played since the start of N3. How badly hammered is this list going to get?
Don't put an HMG on it, then. If you're going to look at it like that, we don't really need any more units for any faction, since all "dude, but with X weapon and Y armor" are covered.
Realistically, outdated TAGs would cover odd niches, much like what outdated vehicles still in service after their prime do in real life. I would be amused by an old clunky TAG with a big ass low fire-rate gun repurposed for anti-TAG operations through marksmanship lx and limited cammo.
Best part is that the lore for this makes no sense. A random shcmuck can buy an outdated TAG and become a mercenary, but the planet with the biggest reserves of the most expensive material in existence can't bother to buy some surplus TAGs. There's a difference between being the low-tech faction and being retarded.
Also, isn't it weird how much high tech heavy armor haqqislam has been getting for being one of the low tech factions?
Jace Reyes
Ariadna tag was mentioned before somewhere.
RX-100 as i remember.
Hudson Scott
I always wanted ariadna to buy some ODD and give out to their operative. If civilian Ashcroft can buy them, ariadna government surely can.
Brayden Lopez
>overdron actually smaller than xeodrons The fuck? Can't say I expected that.
That said, I love their look and can't wait to paint those three. Not entirely sure about the scheme as of yet, but maybe I should keep it simple with bone-colored armor plates and red flesh.
Charles Reyes
They are both sillhoutte 6.
Cooper Price
Do the studio scheme, it's fucking menacing as hell man. I adore the Xeodrons, I want some even though I don't play CA.
Jordan Ramirez
Yeah, some retrofitted mining TAGs PanO sold them.
Kazaks gave them guns.
It's unlikely PanO will sell them more TAGs anytime soon.
Luis Sanders
>bone colored >not porceclain white
Hunter Roberts
>old TAGs are designed like old tanks I love that idea, just a ton of weird, outlandish designs with barely any rhyme or reason to it. - Slow, sluggish design with two Assault Pistols and nothing else? Sure! - Flimsy marksman thing made to be airdropped via parachutist? Why not? - Spindly, fast digitgrade with otherwise abysmal stats and no gear but a heavy pistol and some CCW? By all means!
Anthony Moore
Merovinjaneka has ties with the nomads (And can hire one alguacil) they can probably get unmmoddedd lizards or something.
Or Ariadna could go full evangelion and put power armor on their dogs.
Wyatt Nguyen
You know there's an older model for the Maghariba, right? Goofy by comparison to a degree that makes the original Squalo look reasonable by comparison.
Carson Thompson
...
Austin Nguyen
why would a Russian TAG, be polish?
By the way was it ever explained what haqqislam thinks about all the ariadna muslims. The frenchies and americans should have a ton of those.
Robert Campbell
They were all eaten by antipodes.
Samuel Turner
I was thinking, since the company now does 3d models, does that mean they can quickly release new poses for units that already exist? Would this be the reason why we've been getting so many models so quickly?
Cooper Parker
They all died out. No welfare on Ariadna.
Landon Powell
Two assault pistols guy better have berserk and B2 in CC.
Keep in mind, we're talking specialized as opposed to the multi-purpose mid-range load-out of most modern TAGs. So, they do have to have a way to make use of their loadout.
Parachutist marksman/sniper tag is perfect, tho.
Gavin Evans
>Nobody wanted to play USAriadna other than America USA USA USA
Elijah Williams
And I imagine Ardinias would react to Islamic attacks witha bullet in the head of those doing and those supporting sheltering them. The situation on the planet means most of the sjw BULLSHIT WOULD BE DEAD IN THAT SOCIETY.
Ayden Myers
That's because they were brand new.
Caleb Cruz
>inb4 Haqqislam's (and Nomad) sudden but inevitable betrayal of them
Charles Allen
...
Hunter Perez
I don't care what anyone else says, I'll always love that goofy little thing. The new Maghariba is so complicated.
Daniel Rivera
I think the right paint scheme would be fine, but I'm not impressed by the old studio scheme (except on a technical level)
Lincoln Hill
>Gets stealth >Too slow to be anywhere where it will be useful >Doesn't actually combine with anything in it's profile I don't understand
Aaron Richardson
It's something to have, I guess. It's not like stealth is a particularly expensive skill.
Dominic Ramirez
It's disjointed with the rest of the unit. It makes it look like the designers were looking for a way to add to the unit's cost, rather than giving it a fluffy ability or a useful feature.
Noah James
I think it's a nice bonus with Forward Deployment and Fireteam: Core/Haris
I kinda want Fireteam: Duo for the Tikbalangs right now. That'd be awesome. A new profile wouldn't hurt, either. Spitfire or heavy shotgun or something maybe.
Brayden Smith
>5307th Ranger Unit
I wouldn't have thought there would be more than 2 or 3 thousand rangers in all. Ariadna is basically a country, isn't it?
Andrew Anderson
They could well count them up from when they landed.
They are by necessity a very militarised people too. But also it's fluff for a game.
Ryan Hughes
It's a historical unit thing, sometimes countries dig up old unit names/numbers to encourage pride in the unit or whatever. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Merrill's_Marauders
Ryder Jones
Kazak≠Russian
Lincoln Campbell
I don't know friend, back here in Russia it is used to describe a very specific Russian only, very nationalist/old church type of military unit. that is a bit like saying that a texas ranger or a red coat isn't American/britbong.
the Poles spamed the hell out of USAriadna. So it seems like it was not just a new thing=popular. CA was new at some point and no one plays those. yeah, but considering how demografics work, by the time the old super powers send their space missions and ended up stranded 50%+ of the population should have been muslim. And considering their better adaptability and higher birth ratio probably all ariadnas should look like creamier syrians/libians.
Colton Cox
Demographics work pretty unpredictably, mang. It's not a case of "this religion has grown lots lately, therefore that growth will be exponential forever". There's a shitload of factors at work and many of them could change at any time.
Also birthrate is far more connected to education than it is to religion.
Benjamin Harris
>Cossacks >Russian only They became Russian after they decided they were fed up with serving Poland. But in general Cossacks were proto- Ukrainians.
Zachary Hernandez
>Nomads are the most popular faction by far.
Color me surprised.
Nicholas Jackson
They always were. Icestorm let PanO catch up to them.
Xavier James
Bullshit, they were always Russians, only the pollacks were occupying land which always belong to the Russian empire, mostly through underhand deals with germans and swedish. In fact considering that the Russians were defending the whole world from turks and other eastern nations, one may say that poles were anti europe and pro muslim.
best rules. they are like marines of Infinity. everyone has or had a nomad army. And considering CB does everything to make them even better through limited insartion and enforcing ITS, it is suprising that not everyone plays them in every game.
Kevin Lewis
>all this revisionism If anything Ukraine and Belarus are on ancient Polish land Russians were always trying to steal when they weren't butt fucked by Mongols at the time. As for defending the world from Turks, Poland gave them such an ass-whooping they respect Poles to this day. Such was power of winged hussars. And Russia isn't even Catholic.
Anthony Bennett
>nomads are strongest faction Truly the finest meme.
Austin Myers
New? poses. C'mon, you know they recycle them constantly.
Owen Watson
No one in the US wanted to play the Imperial Service or Hassassins. Gee, I wonder why?
Nathan Torres
Since when is being a catholic a good thing? I understand that not everyone can be an ortodox, but even protestants are better then catholics. The mongols did not win, there was a 400 year old war, which ended with Russians being superior.
And Poles never won a war vs Turks. They won some minor skirmishs vs golden ord. And even that was only, because Russians were keeping them in check. If Russian decided to betray Christianity, all Pollocks would be muslims by the end of XVII century.
Landon White
Why do Slavic countries use Roman numerals for century numbers?
Jose Jenkins
They were outright terribad back then. Now they (well for IS anyway) are much improved from HS v2.
Kayden Morris
HB was treated pretty nicely as well. Asawiras are actually useful now, there are various new haris options, Govads/Barids/Muyibs got some new options, Ayyar seem fantastic and the Ghazi buff is just ridiculous.
Michael Gonzalez
Literally all of the Nomad TAGs are PanO surplus, previous generation TAGs.
PanO and YJ pride themselves on their modern, high tech militaries. Aleph is Aleph, they don't need no legacy designs. Ariadna is self explanatory, although the Rhino and the Anaconda are explicitly cheaper, mercenary appropriate TAGs. And Haqqislam doesn't have the same need for them in their doctrine/economy, and the Maghariba does fine for the moment. Remember that Lizards are already modded to hell and back to make them competitive. And the Nomads are always willing to stick a fork in the mega powers eye, assuming Ariadna either trains, imports, or rents the expertise needed to maintain their products.
Aside from the other explanations, it's just as likely it was the 5307th unit to be created. 5305th, Rifle Regiment, 5306th, Sapppers, 5307th, Rangers, 5308th, Tankhunters, etc.
Asher Hernandez
It's not a slavic thing. I'm italian and when I went to school the centuries were always written with the roman notation.
That's because here the roman numbers are regarded more ofthen than not as having ordinal value instead of numeral value, i.e. XVII = 17th, not just 17. I think it's a residue of the ancient roman culture, other neolatin-speaking countries should confirm.
