Reminder to wash your hands after touching filth

Please critique.

At least its not eldar

No

Stop posting your shit. If you already sent them to the painter then you've already gone too far.

The army is 4 lone wolves and 2-4 units? I am sure that will go over great, especially against armies that don't fit one of your specialist assassins.

8/10 Would face with a fluff list

>tfw I can't save BS lists as an image on mobile

I don't think you wanna run 4 assassins user. The Vindicare or Culexus is fine.

Also unless you're keeping your command squads in the Primes they're pretty vulnerable to be running that many plasmas: you're going to be hurting pretty bad the moment that squad takes any wounds.

So I thought 500v500 would be good for my friend and I playing his first game but I moved it up to 620/620 to try and balance it out.
He has been learning with my Dark Angel army, mostly just fighting Tac squad v Tac Squad or 2 Tac Squads v. A Ven Dread learning the core rules and tables.
Tomorrow we will be playing our first real game and he will bring a small DA CAD vs. my Necrons

>620 Necron CAD
Overlord w/ Warscythe and Gauntlet of Fire - 110pts
7 Lychguards w/ Swords and Shields - 210pts
10 Immortals w/ Tesla - 170pts
10 Warriors - 130pts

V.

>620 Dark Angel CAD
Interrogator-Chaplan in Terminator - 140pts
5 Terminators - 200pts
10 Tactical Marines - 140pts
10 Tactical Marines - 140pts

I am hoping that the tacticals can take care of the Necron troops well enough and that the lychguards T5 and 3+/3++ can stand up to the termis 2+/5++ (the int chap has a 4++)
The Lychguards have two more bodies than the terminators but they are probably going to get shot up hard.
We will be playing on a 4x4 table which is why I feel like footslogging termis/lych should work. Hoping to get multiple games in and maybe even swap lists.
Maybe switch the Lychguard forTriarch Praetorians and a destroyer lord to add speed to make up for their lack of shooting (but then I guess the sword and shield Praetorians do shoot...)

Any advice welcome.

Hey I made a thing. All hail God-Emperor Wiseau

The terminator/lychguard combat should be fairly one-sided in favor of the terminators, shouldn't it?

Tell me about your Chaos Warband Veeky Forums! Who are they? Where did they come from? Who leads them? Why do they hate the Corpse Emperor?

Regale with the deeds of Chaos!

Trying again.

How hated would I be for making an entirely Gue'vesa themed IG army? It'd be a standard IG army, just with Tau symbols and shit. Or would that conflict with shit in their codex, allies, etc.

Those DA look fucked.

>20 vanilla Marines vs undying T4/3+ that deal extra wounds: the army.

But that would mean no commissars, priests or psykers.

Why doesn't she resurrect every time anymore?

It's not like she has good enough stats that it'd be too overpowered otherwise.

probably even if you give the marines some grav cannons

It's not 6th anymore user. Let it go.

Drop the assassins, buy Imperial Knight.
BRRRRTTTTT goes the Crusader.

>sisters
>allowed nice things
Pick one.

That being said, she was a monster in the 5th Codex because she came back every time. Like, it was insane.

Thousand Sons who experiment

What are you anticipating to see at the wankfest this weekend aside from Custodes grav tanks?

Would Asssassins be something better at 2k points? I have a Crusader curiously enough.

4 assassins are probably never worth it unless you're playing like 3k+. The investment is way too large for 4 models, and the return, while potentially large, is outweighed by risk.

I'm gonna start a small chaos army because I love the aesthetic and I'm used to losing with my nids already.

Without devolving to helldrake+cultist cheese, what's a good list to field against a Blood Ravens force?

nurgle or doom sirens

Statistically speaking, a crusader is going to do a lot more against a wider range of targets than the assassins.
Plus, it's a massive fire magnet so you're troops can get to where they need to be.

But risk is fun.

ur playing guard run special weapons squads with demo charges

Where the fuck do you see guard in that list?

I thought they'd be alright since they have way more shooting and should be able to fight the Necron troops easy enough.
The lychguard will be getting picked off by bolter fire until they get into assault.

Should I take away some DA bodies to try and keep the points close if I add in heavy weapons? Maybe just giving each TAC squad a special weapon

I wouldn't mind giving the DA a 30pts handicap

oh sorry you're playing a weak codex that you could do completely with guard anyways but choose not to so you can be special

"HELLO FELLOW CHAOS SPACE MARINE. WE ARE TOTALLY FELLOW CHAOS SPACE MARINES, BLOOD FOR THE.. WHATEVER HE IS ANYHOW."

"PLEASE DIRECT US TO YOUR WARBAND LEADER, WE UHM, WISH TO DISCUSS PLANS FOR INVADING TERRA WITH HIM."

Exactly what I was afraid of. Thanks.

Who the fuck said that's even my list??
Or that I even made said list post?
Where is your God damned grammar?

>could have just said "thats not my list"
>instead says "where do you see guard in that list"
>shown
>then says "thats not my list"

lmao

How does this look for a more footslogging-focused Black Templar list?

Don't have a Helbrecht yet, which is probably a huge detriment for a mostly walking army, but can't do anything against that yet and want to experiment.

General idea right now is to put Grimaldus in the LRC, slap him in the middle of my army and let everyone advance at once, with the Dreadnought dropping in slightly ahead to lay some Autocannon fire onto the enemy and then allow the Terminators a somewhat save Deep Strike location.

Local meta is very infantry-heavy, with Tyranid mobs, Imperial Guard flashlight-and-lascannon walls and Orks, hence the lack for any serious anti-armor weaponry.

The army is still shaping up right now and I'm not too sure where exactly I should take it right now. Have also tried variants mostly relying on Steel Rain with only a LRC and Razorback on the field turn 1 or a variation of 2 LRCs, Termies and a suicide Command Squad with my champion, though that didn't really work too well, as my command Squad ironically was too good at killing and always butchered anything they assaulted immediately, leaving them naked surrounded by literally a hundred Guardsmen shining into their faces.

How do you deal with 2+ armour?

What a story Mark!

Only units with 2+ saves being used right now around here are a few HQs and Elites. Last few games I usually managed to either get them into melta range to burn through their armor or managed to assassinate them with my Power Fist Sword Brother or the Emperor's Champion.

TL;DR I rarely do directly deal with it but tend to get through with it for now

They are Thousand Sons who are remnants of the Brotherhood of Dust Their leader, Ophideous, was charged by Amon to find a reversal to the Rubric, and used extreme methods to do so. He and his sorcerers would fuse lesser daemons into the armor of their brothers in order to charge their psyche with enough psychic power to restore their minds.

Having met with some success, he began experimenting on living hosts, and discovered unwillingness lead to failure every time. None of his subordinates were willing, so he took it upon himself for the sake of his brothers. His experiment ascended him into Daemonhood, granting him immense power and the ire of many of his brothers.

When Ahriman defeated Amon and began dismantling the Brotherhood, Ophideous offered his followers a choice that Magnus never offered: the chance to leave. However if they stayed, it meant they swore unending loyalty to their brothers and Ophideous.

The Ophidian Brotherhood continued their experimenting, and in time turned it into a craft. They took daemons screaming out of the warp and placed them into those willing to accept the gift. The powerful ascended, while the weak were consumed.

The ranks of the Brotherhood are filled with infused warriors from Warp Talons to possessed and even Obliterators and Hellbrutes. Ophidian cults sprang up across the galaxy with the hopes of ascending into greater powers, and willing throw themselves into battle to prove themselves or acquire gifts to offer.

Each warrior is donned in the Red and Silver of Prospero as a reminder. The armor used to remind them of their fallen brothers to be restored, but now it reminds them of an choice their brothers never had.

Not me. I like the formations and the orders in the MT. I also like the codex.

You're not going to like it.

Alpha Legion that infiltrated a UM successor, then completely annihilated it and took it's place after it was severely weakened by an Ork Waaagh. They spend their time half being typical Alpha Legion dicks, and half doing actual loyalist shit so the AdMech keeps sending them resources for more dickery. They used the Ultramarine geneseed from when they took over to keep growing more inside slaves locked in the basement to pay their tithe.

Yes I play with the loyalist codex, usually as Raptors or Raven Guard.

How should I kit out my next tactical squad?
Trips decides.

In Alpha Legion colors.

Hows everyones games been recently?
Heres the list from my last game against IG, rate me

Something something Flamer

All bolters. Nothing else.

Combi-Melta, Heavy Bolter, Plasma Gun

>Hows everyones games been recently?

Won the last 4 games in a row by randomly combining my Space Marines and Cult Mechanicus when nobody was prepared for that kind of dumb shit.

Single Cohort Cybernetica took out almost an entire army in one of those games after my Marines had died.

mixing weapons is the only way to kit out squads

>missed chance to get a second Kasrkin special weapons booster for 2 melta/2 plasma squads

kill me

>my Kasrkin list requires 8 plasma guns
>I have 0
no, kill me

Mechanicum units from that forge world allied with prosporo that makes psychic tech.

And Arlatax, finally...I hope. ;_;

>tfw missed this gem for 30€
>posted my last bid 4 seconds before it ended
>final bid came in 2 seconds before it ended

I will never stop being salty about this.

>this weekend

What is this weekend?

> 1764/1500 points
> Emperor's Champion is 407 points

Rolling for this exactly.

10 dudes, Flamer, Plasma Cannon, Sergeant with Plasma Pistol, Thunder Hammer, Melta Bombs, and Teleport Homer.

So in kill team what happens if you take artillery? I kind of want to run a DKoK list with a quad gun but with every model being treated as a separate unit would the crew even be able to use their gun? Maybe make it a artillery team with just a single crew and if he gets killed have another one take over?

For that matter what about eldar weapons platforms? Would they still count as being crewed?

Actually thinking of eldar platforms reminded me of the DKoK cyclops. Pretty useless in normal play, but could be a fun way of dropping a S9 large blast in kill team.

is a reply to

Yeah, no fucking idea how the hell they messed up the data numbers when the 2.0 patch hit.

no heavy support, I would imagine all the artillery in the game is heavy support.

Nah the field artillery is elite, heavy artillery is heavy support. And the cyclops is fast attack

then the gun would just sit there and any crewman could use it, I would suppose. I would treat the gun as a weapon emplacement like a quad gun that can't shoot itself

Everything is better with Ministorum priests. Saint, priests and inquisitor join SoS and embark in the LR turn 1. Exorcists and Melta sisters murder transports and vehicles.

Sister Pain Train 1500 points

>Adepta Sororitas CAD

Saint Celestine 135 points

Ministorum priest 55 points
- Power axe
- Litanies of Faith

Ministorum Priest 40 points
- Power axe

Battle sister squad 145 points

Immolator
- Dozer blade
- Multi-Melta

Battle sister squad 145 points
- X2 Meltagun
Immolator
- Dozer blade
- Multi-Melta

Seraphim 95 points
- X2 pair of Hand Flamers

X3
Exorcist 130 points
- Storm bolter

>Inquisition

Inquisitor 65 points
- Plasma + Bolt pistol
- Liber heresius
- Rad grenades

Henchmen 270 points
- X3 Acolytes with Bolters
Land Raider Crusader
- Psybolt ammunition

>Null maiden task force

Sisters of silence 160 points
- X5 more squad members
- All have Executioner great blades
- Sister superior

>Jump units entering vehicles

Speaking of Sisters, was looking into building an army myself since their "moar fire" philosophy intrigued me quite a bit and I saw that their squads aren't nearly as expensive when bought off eBay as I expected.

How viable are they right now and how flexible and variation-happy can you be with them? (as in, are there options or only a handful of good builds that won't instant-lose)

>120 points
>s/t 8 3+
>no more wraith sight

is it just me or is this a pretty good unit overlooked?

That sounds pretty damn cool.

It's good but not spectacular in a codex where everything else is good/spectacular/total-cheese. Naturally I have 3.
Also it's hella slow

>>go to great lengths to impersonate ultramarines
>>don't fight using standard Codex combat doctrine
What kind of infiltrator are you, senpai? Why not just infiltrate a raven guard company or Successor (as the hydra likes to do).

Mid tier. Don't expect flexibility or variation, especially for model choice. Your models have maybe 6 poses copy pasted across the whole army, and you get your choice of meltas or flamers. Take 5, put them in an Immolator with TLMM, and off you go.

That being said, I've experimented with a combi-plas command squad:

+++ Plasma SoB (1500pts) +++

-HQ-

Canoness
Evicerator, Combi-Plasma
Mantle of Ophelia
Rosarius

>M.41
>being a heretic

i'm actually planning a footdar list so it should fit

Just remember that having a wraithlord lugging around a Wraithknight's ghostglaive like the Biggron Sword looks really fucking cool

Recently got a bunch of warriors and venoms for super cheap so was looking into what I needed to get to 1000pts.
I like the Reaver models and Scourges seem like they are decent enough.
The Talos is pretty cool and I want to get the supplement with their formation to try that out.

HQ:

Lhameans
>Venom w/ 2 Splinter cannon

Troops:

5x5 Kalabite Warriors
>Venom w/ 2 Splinter cannon

Fast Attack:

2x3 Reavers
>Heat lance, Cluster Caltrops

5 Scourges
>2 Haywire Blasters

Heavy Support:

Talos
>Ichor Injector, Twin-linked Haywire Blaster

The Living Saint is only bulky, which still fits into the LRs capacity of 16 *and* gives the unit Hit and Run at initiative 7.

JUMP UNITS CAN'T ENTER VEHICLES UNLESS THE VEHICLES STATES OTHERWISE READ THE GODDAMN RULES

That's not how it works.

...

Ok, ok, my bad.

How's this look? I just threw it together based on some models I got lying around, and some my friend is gonna trade me.

I'm not sold on one heatlance talos, maybe as a group or the corpsethief claw formation. But, in low points more splinter fire is alway handy and gives it something to do as it moves across the table or holds an objective.

How do you go about transporting your armies?

I currently dont have a car to easily drive my stuff around in and my store is a 20 minute train + 10 minute bus ride away. Moving 850-1500 points there could be pretty tricky, since running around with a box full of minis doesn't work for that and taking a travelling bag would, I am certain, result in something breaking.

Bought a big toolbox, fitted metal sheets inside so my magnetized minitures can stick to it and done. Its a bit heavy (especially if I'm playing 1850pts of Sisters of Battle) but gets the job done.

nice to know im not the only guy having problems with BS 2.0

I can't even get space marine special characters to load

Cardboard box atm. your figures are a lot more durable than you think

The weird costs are by far the least of my problems.

2.0 corrupted and subsequently deleted every single old list I had, gives me invalid errors on nearly every army, has crash warning errors pop up for a huge majority of armies, often doesn't even allow me to create a roster when trying to start with certain detachments and looooaaaads of other things.

I hate it so far.

>Your figures are a lot more durable than you think

>Famous last words

You have sass say too many points tied up into worthless shit.

>Exorcist upgrades
No. Keep them cheap as balls. Use spare points for a storm bolter to 50/50 a Weapon destroyed

>Blob of Sisters
Brings me back. That being said, drop the Simulacrum on them. Their AoF isn't worth paying to use them twice.
Don't expect much from them, but don't forget that they all have pistols and can assault. Stick Celestine and the Priest here.

>Immo Sisters
You're paying for too many models. You currently have 6 Bolters, Flamer, Heavy Flamer, and SS for a total of 7. The Immo only holds 6. Drop drop down to 5, drop extra armor and bombs, and change to a TLMM.

>repentia
Drop all that shit on the rhino and the bombs from the Mistress

>Inquisiton
Honestly don't know, but I'm seeing a land raider that probably costs over 300 points.

I don't know how many points cutting the fat gets you.

If you can, you are going to want Dominions. Easily the best unit we have. Get 4 meltas inside a TLMMator and out flank with them.

Post the biggest model you have ever painted.

But I can't post my self-made dragon dildo on a blue christian cartoon board like this one, user.

Is this a good enough list to work towards a Nurgle Based list?
I shouldn't mark my sorceror, right? I really want to kitbash him into an Attack Bike and put a Spell Familar in the passenger seat.
I don't think I care too much about winning since I will mostly just be modelling and looking at my models but I want the list to at least work well enough for me to learn more.
My only experience is from 5e with my friend teaching me with his spare Space Marines but there seems to be a good scene at the local shop.
So far I have the Nurgle Start Collecting, Mini Rulebook, Daemon Codex, Caliban Green Spray Primer, Various hobby supplies.

ombined Arms Detachment (520pts)
HQ
Herald of Nurgle (120pts)
>Daemon of Nurgle, Greater Locus of Fecundity (25pts), Psyker Level 2 (50pts)

Troops
Nurglings (45pts)
>3x Nurglings
Plaguebearers of Nurgle (110pts)
>Icon of Chaos, Instrument of Chaos, 10x Plaguebearers

Plague Drones of Nurgle (245pts)
>Instrument of Chaos, 5x Plague Drones, Venom Sting

Allied Detachment (478pts)
HQ
Sorcerer (120pts)
>Additional Mastery Level, Spell familiar, Bike

Troops
Chaos Cultists (50pts)
>Cultist Champion with Auto Pistol, Close Combat Weapon 9x Cultists (36pts)

>Mark of Nurgle, 2x Plasma Gun, 6x Chaos Bikers, Combi-plasma

Obliterators (76pts)
>Mark of Nurgle

998/1000

The paints I got to go with my green colors are Warpstone Glow (Layer), Nurgling Green (Dry), Waystone Green (Gem), Nulin Oil (Shade). I have seen some really sick Nurgle units and I wish I could do my bikers up well but I am trying to keep it simple.

Does the Monolith I primed silver count?
Because it doesn't deserve a picture

Which IG regiment is best IG regiment and why is it the Death Korp of Krieg?

Wraithlords are so fucking cool. That shit was my jam the first time I laid eyes on a fucking 40k model.

But now I'm solidly Skitarii. Just gotta love those crazy tech cultists and their crazy Machine God. Still, that's one sexy model, and a pretty customizable one at that.

It's the fucking Valhallans. Death Korp are nothing but suicidal autists.

>But now I'm solidly Skitarii. Just gotta love those crazy tech cultists and their crazy Machine God.
You'll going to be a literal jizz-fountain when IA14 hits in 3-6 months. LANDTRAINTANKS AND ROBOTS AND BIGASSROBOTS AND FUGHUEGASSGUNSIZEOFKNIGHTS.

Mechanicus isnt fucking around.

>primed silver
aka professionally painted necrons

What do you guys think of this as a general list to build upon for 1850/2k? From here I don't know exactly where I'd wanna go, but I got options: allies (Vindicare or GK maybe cause I have the models), a couple Leman Russes (eh), Vendetta + special weapons teams or Valk/Taurox/Chim + Stormtroopers. Anything else sound good?

The basic plan is to run the 40 guardsmen as a combined blob with a priest and run down the enemy while the Vets conduct special operations. Command Squads can be agile in their chimeras.

I'd split up the sisters into more squads, use more meltas if you can, and I'd try to find a way to include Jacobus. He's nuts, especially with Repentia. But beware, if you run that you've got yourself a glass melee deathstar.

Run the Exorcists with only storm bolters, you won't be able to buy anything to save them so just play as careful as you can.

Sadly overshadowed by the much shittier-looking and cancerous Wraithknight.

I'm in the Kill Team camp, so I'm in it for the Skitarii foot-sloggers. Rangers are my favorite model, as they're exactly what I had in mind when I read the description of Skitarii so long ago and they don't disappoint. Not too shabby on those walkers, but they're certainly not my favorite models.

I'd like for them to get a dedicated Transport that's reasonable for Kill Team (playing by HoR rules) so I don't have to houserule or requisition and Rhino or Chimera, or try and scratch-build my own Skitarii transport.

Still, hopefully some of those robots are infantry-sized and reasonable in KT. I know the HoR guys are keen on their specialty lists and Mechanicum is one of them.
