>tfw no BOP minis to show

Have this shitheap instead

In before boyblimp pasta vacuum namefag.

Let this be a life lesson for you lot. Ignore the bait.

Sweet Alpha Legion army my amigo

Durr

Would GK Halberds go on Tartaros suits? I need to make some power scythes.

Also, I'm sorry Bread user. I was being helpful last thread, but it turns out I cannot help people from being themselves.

If you have the patience, power scythe packs will be released soon?

Don't see why not. The wait's almost over, though.

It fits "ok" my dg brother

I want to fucking kill my self after that last thread.

Post your mechanicum shit people. I need it.

Is there a full scan of Burning of Prospero's books yet?

I'm sorry, I don't collect Mechanicum, but have a nice pic instead.

Guide for playing against scoria

Does that pack come with more than one terminator scythe? Don't see how you're gonna fit those PA ones on a terminator.

There is no yiff in my BoP :^)

They're all the same.

Thats def a termi hand on that middle one. It's probably in 3 pieces with two hand options.

What happened last thread? I was there for the first hundred posts, but then an unescapable popup and then dinner hapened.

Here, have a Mechanicum Knight house list I wrote up.

The Omnissian Knight House

HQ
-Knight Atrapos, 435
+Seneschal, 50
+Ocular Augmetics, 10
Total, 495

Troops
-2xKnight Magaera, 395 (790)
+Siege Claw, 35 (70)
+Ocular Augmetics, 10 (20)
Total, 435 (870)

Heavy Support
-2Knight Styrix, 405 (810)
+Siege Claw, 25 (50)
+Ocular Augmetics, 10 (20)
+Scion Arbalester, 25 (50)
Total, 465 (930)

Total, 2,295

The same as for Nitrogen Triiodine: just don't touch that shit.

Power armour hands can still fit on Terminator arms, you just need some creativity. Hopefully FW comes out with more info on them soon, though.

That's dedication, user. Nice.

I've been idly working on this Magos Dominus in my off time. I dearly, dearly want some Mechanicum models though, holy shit.

I'm thinking they're just showing off the hands, probably going to have seperate packs for termis/non-termis. Or if you want to be a pessimist, that's the actual pack.

Some of them are two-handing their scythes. Unless the pack comes with terminator arms, how can I be sure they fit on the tartaros arms?

Idea of assembling something that think from resin pieces is not very appealing.

That's a Dominus? I thought they were wimpys, not scary motherfuckers. That dude looks like taken out of a Blanche pic, nice mini, user!

How did you do those pipes on the bottom? Looks great.

>Power armour hands can still fit on Terminator arms

Can, but they're a bit smaller.

>if you want to be a pessimist

Well, all I've ever seen of either kit is 1 terminator and 4 PA dudes, so what am I suppose to think?

>chainaxe
>chain-lucifex
>multiple servoarms
>freaky-ass fucking multi-pipe legs
Thats a proper war-body for a Dominus

Thanks! That Blanche look is exactly what I was going for, glad it came through a little bit. I fluffed him up as being a Magos of the Sarum Redjak, so he has more reason than most to be a beefed up, scary motherfucker.

A I just pre-bent a shitload of guitar wire and shoved it into a greenstuff ball on the underside of the torso. Added in some chains and extra gubbins, and covered up the join with a tattered greenstuff cloak.

You think this old man is a wimp? He's got a pimp-cane and an axe! You a crazy son if you don't think he's some strong old man who'd wreck you in a fight.

Look at him. You think that cane's for walking when he's got robo-legs? Nah son, that there's a pimp-cane for smacking some robo-hoes for when he's got some business to do! Mmhm!

Well, to be fair, Scoria is a Magos Dominus.

>That dude looks like taken out of a Blanche pic, nice mini, user!
Needs more tubes.

Working on some Terran-born Termies.

Still need to paint the pteruges a dark red to add some colour spots and then basing + weathering. The arms are magnetized, still got a few to finish.

Did a little bit of highlighting, lots of work to do still!

Look at him! He's got extra robo-arms just to hold all his guns! Why? Because he's a space-pimp, an he's got to make sure none of them fools even get near his robo-hoes, an he's gots to make sure that nobody is gonna be a better space pimp than he is! He's even got himself one of those new-fangled space-pimp hats! Nah son, you crazy if you think this is weak. Why, he so strong, he has a 50mm base! Them space marines only get 32mm bases! They the weak ones, they ain't even got half the robo-hoes he gots!

>those crisp highlights
>that vibrant yellow
god bless you user, I'd let you work your dexterous little fingers on me.

Help me decide on a legion pls.

SoH or IW

Feel free to suggest a different legion as well

that black makes me diamonds. how do? 'ard coat?

Working SoH termies just like that pic. They allow for wide variety in play, but I love their overwhelming shock assault style.

IW are still appealing for they're infantry and sheer firepower and fun units and characters. Perty is just an amazing model.

You've sold me on both but that puts us back a square one.

DG friend from a few threads ago, I know exactly how youre feeling

Iron Warriors, of course.

This way you have a surprising amount of freedom when it comes to the fluff of Your Dudes. It's pretty cool, actually.

Their rules allow them to ignore ranged morale, so footslogging them is a somewhat viable choice, but as always, watch out for pie plates and AP3.

Sons of horus. OG Space Gansters are sick.

Do you prefer shooty or choppy? SoH are close-range shooty and choppy, IW are all-around shooty

I think it also depends on how skilled of a painter you are, the SoH scheme looks great when done right, but you need to know how to get that seafoam green and edge highlighted black on justaerin.

iron warriors, silver is easy to make pop on the table if you're inexperienced. stormhost silver for edge highlights and a varnish over it makes a huge fucking difference when a light is on it.

fluff and crunch-wise though? Fuck IW go SoH.

Well SoH are shooty and choppy. IW excel at shooting everything, but get really made with Perty and can get really punchy when needed

I was thinking of 30k's 75pts T4 WS3 guy with a laspistol, not 40k's W3 Independent character with artificer armour and shaft-driven legs.
But you are right. I simply forgot about this guy when Satarael, Scoria, Draykavac, Magi Prime, Malagra, Archmagos Dominus and Reductor already exist. I mean, if regular Domini are powerful sages, those guys I just mentioned are outright MONSTERS.

Thanks for the kind words. The black is Rustoleum "Painter's Touch" black primer, with two thin coats of Vallejo Game Colour Black. I thin it 1:1 with Thinner Medium, and also use a wet palette so it gets a little more from that. The primer black is very matte, but the VGC Black goes on quite shiny.

I'm not sure if I'm going keep it shiny (I do like clean marines) or matte it down and add weathering.

I like the concept of fielding tons of marines and Zerg rushing a foe but I also think rapid deploying shock troops is pretty cool.

Don't SoH excel at Deep Strikes?

>fielding tons of marines and Zerg rushing a foe
World eaters are the best CC marine rush legion
>Don't SoH excel at Deep Strikes?
Yeah, they can take slightly cheaper dreadclaw drop pods as dedicated transports and have amazeball 2w legion terminators

Fluffwise they do, they're the tip of the spear, and crunchwise they have Deepstrike out of the ass with RoWs, Abaddon (oovercosteeeed) and Horus, as well as Justaerins.
Fluffwise the IWs also do termies and zerg rushes, as well as MkIII, and crunchwise Golg and/or Perty can pull the deepstriking terminatorwing just as well.

The black Reaving shows Justaerin to teleport, both Abby and Horus allow a termie unit to teleport with them. Bunch of units can by dreadclaws. Many troop options including termies, reavers and vets. Orbital assault RoW would put them in close range for buffs to shooting.

They forgot one of the dread's arms

nice

Posted a list a thread ago but I tweaked it a bit

2bh, Iron Warriors feel like they haven't much stuff going on. The Hammer of Olympia's Disordered charges after Rapid fire isn't that good, same with the Ironfire's Fearless bonus. And the Tyrants are Heavy support termies, so they compete with Iron Havocs. And their LA rule only allows them to die without complaining, as well as Shrapnel bolts being almost useless.

Why would anyone agree to play a list like this...?

speaking of forgeworld orders, I was planning on ordering something over the weekend...is the dreadclaw kit really that much of a bitch to make? I made a welfare dreadclaw for my imperial fists and it looks fine, but I don't feel like having that many conversions outside my inductii for my world eaters. basically what I'm saying is dubs (or reasonable explanation) pick my forgeworld purchase.

shapeways.com/product/8YQYHXVRX/10x-blank-marine-boarding-shield-1-w-hand?optionId=59328739

I think we have a winner lads

Not him, but the only reason I was never sold on SoH was the lack of fluff. It's all 'Muh Horus' or 'Muh Cthonia'. I'd legit love to learn more about them, but I look around and can't really find much. I love thier colors, I love their rules, but I don't love their fluff. Crunch-wise, the only good thing about SoH are Maloghurst, Abbadon, Horus, and the Justaerin. Their rules are good, but I wouldn't say game changers.

The same could be said of Iron Warriors crunch-wise, but Pert, Tyrants, and Havocs, as well as Kyr Vhalen and Golg are all great characters and units. The IW rules allowing for ignoring ranged morale is great in the shooting edition that is 7th. Fluff-wise, the Iron Warriors have a surprising amount written about them and a good amount of it is written decently to great. Angel Exterminatus being one of the most cited sources, and any book with Dantioch, the original loyalist IW that everyone loves. In AE, Pert is humanized to a degree the reader can sympathize with, which is a great thing.

IW are great at sending tons of marines to their deaths/victory, especially with their ignoring ranged morale which will save you points from vexillas if you were going to buy those in the first place.

SoH are great at deepstriking, and do have their own drop-pod. But screw assembling that thing man. Horrid kit.

Sadly this is true. Ignoring ranged morale is their only good selling point. And Perturabo. And their characters. And the fluff. But on the tabletop, most of their stuff is pretty meh. But I play them for the fluff, not the rules. I just try to take advantage of the rules as much as possible in order to write a list that will work out.

Why would anyone ever agree to play against this. This is pure cancer and unless for a tournament, this would never be recieved well.

They are indeed, that hard, KA.

It's ok, someone will simply bring like three 6-Kraken Tank Hunter BS5 Lightnings, and without Vultarax the Mechanicum cannot counter air. This man simply wants to ascend people and liberate them from their fleshy bodies. To have them ascend and become the Ultimate Craters!
I remember that Minotaur guy, who wanted all the templates too.

>Not him, but the only reason I was never sold on SoH was the lack of fluff. It's all 'Muh Horus' or 'Muh Cthonia'
For real, there weren't SoH loyalist or something? Is Loken the only surviving loyal Luna Wolf?

Nah, what I meant was that's mostly the overlying theme of them. I'm tired.

Plz no bully.

I've read no books than what were posted here as pdfs. So Angel Exterminatus and The First Heretic.

What are the Dominus' stats and wargear, actually?

Also, do Archmagos/Magos Reductors have different statlines and wargear compared to the regular ones? I don't have the mechanicum army list, what are the differences between all of the magi?

What type of units are the Custodes? Are they counted as an auxiliary force similar to Knights Errant?

Custodes will have a full army list in Inferno.

Talons of the Emperor, my dude. As they are right now, they're an elite slot unit that allies with loyalist armies.

WS 6 BS5 S4 T4 W3 I5 A4 Ld10 2+
Huh. Archmagos has only 2 WS, 1 I, and 2 A less than a Praetor.

No, I'm honestly asking about them as well.
Hah, my autism put to good use!

>As they are right now

They have an Elite and Troop choice and one of those can also be your HQ, so you can have a full army or just an allied detachment.

>tfw Archmagos Reductor doesn't get FnP 5+ like all the other cool kids
At least he's a Big Guy.

How would you equip an Archmagos Reductor?

Custodes as Troops feel weird. Only the Emperor should have that privilege, everyone else as attached Throne Agents.
But I guess single specialist squads don't earn as much money as a full Army List, eh FW? Cataphractii Custodes when? And why do I think they should have Lascannons as a Heavy weapon choice?

Custodes Dreads pls

Does anyone know when the Iliastus Assault Cannons or the Vigil Storm Shields are being released?

>dat manlet
kek

Judge me by size, do you?

>>tfw Archmagos Reductor doesn't get FnP 5+ like all the other cool kids
Neither the regular Archmagos Prime, only Lacryaemarta. But at least anyone with an Abeyant gains IWND
>How would you equip an Archmagos Reductor?
That's...a tough one. S10 punches/S6 Paragon blade sounds lovely, especially when you can reduce the enemy's Toughness by -2 on your own while you yourself are a T6 Hardened 2+/3++ W4 IWND monster.
And the fear when it can all be lost if the enemy nigga rolls a 6 on his Paragon Blade because he's only I4.
Otherwise, you could use him mostly base, with a Machinator array to repair stuff, near your siege engine to grant it Master of Destruction to a single weapon.

Real super-soldiers should be tall.

>T5 Custodes making fun of T4 Marines
>tfw a cyborg with a PhD is T6.

Well, I mean, he's got a PhD.

Working on de-thousand-sons-ing the Ahriman model. Still need to clean up the greenstuff and shave down some bad areas

Found the post-grad student :^)

Get outta here, Frederick I of Prussia, you old poof, you're dead.

Question is, do these work with bolter arms.

just cut off the hand, I don't see why not.

How about removing the scarf, or at least part of it? It looks very sorcerous. Unless you don't want to, that is.
Historically, grenadiers and other such "elite" troops were chosen based on imposing size. They die to bullets just the same because a 5'6" dude and a 6'6" dude are both T3, but the later got a place as ceremonial guards and such, simply because they wear the uniform better.

>"The most beautiful girl or woman in the world would be a matter of indifference to me, but tall soldiers—they are my weakness."

Eh, fancy robe bits look librarian-y to me. I'm more updes that there's just no good way to remove the TS symbol from the bottom of them, as one of the bits is molded to the chest. Librarians trained under the TS anyway right? He... uh, kept those. As a gift. Yes.

>t. Frederick I of Prussia

What's the best way to turn my Prospero MKiii's into breachers? Is there a kit I can buy somewhere? Are the parts easy to recast?

Well, point being that in the bolter arms it's assumed that the bolter comes over the hand. But on the shield the bolter is intended to position further from the hand, so it'd be at an angle on the other arm. Of course you can cut more of the arm, but then you'll have a marine with different length arms.

No. FW said that they aren't doing a Breacher upgrade kit either in responce to user's email, as they already have a Breacher unit available.

On one hand, they did do kits for BaC Cataphractii. On the other, they didn't make assault or destroyer kits for the BaC MkIV tacticals.

You can use the Boarding Assault upgrade set from FW if you don't mind somewhat different shields

Blood Angel Space Hulk army with pride of the legion, y/n?

Do you have a list you like to play with fellow bitter user?

I am just starting out on what will eventually be around 5,00 points of IW and I cant decide if I want to go Tank heavy, or Infantry and Robots with Mechanicum.

I can't wait until I'm done with this disgusting hate machine. I'm so damned close.

Eh sure. S5-equivalent Lightning claws are bound to do some damage.

If it's not in the most recent newsletter as being available first at a warhammer world event/weekender we won't know in advance. And even with that it could be a month or two or more before we see it on the web store for general release

Actually in responce to user's email they did say that Tartaros shoulders were a good idea.

>Tartaros shoulders were a good idea

Like legion variants or what?
