Is there a better place than Kantai collection to pick-up waifus?

that is an extremely subjective question
Franken Fran

Given how you must be aware by now what people think of your fetishes, why would you respond? Aren't you trying to improve?

Manyfist, for some reason mibbit didn't ping me. I'll be on the IRC for another hour if you're still up.

hence the difference in the Spoiler and the exposed Text, what better way to illustrate how subjective a question It is.

Bancho. Just don't respond. At all.

Jumpers, have you ever faced an alternate version of yourselves when visiting a world?

Could someone please explain the Final Note section in Starcraft Zerg to me? Is it some kind of post-Spark reward?

No. It's a note for a theoretical Starcraft Protoss Route jump that OAA was working on, but disappeared before he could deliver.

Sekirei is pretty good, Tenchi Muyo gives them to you in drawbacks and DXD has a few good characters.

I have to say this Jump really was a CP vampire (in a good way). I was back & forth with what I wanted, and the drawbacks made it so you were really tight on your budget. It's great, but here's my build for Ultimate Spider-Man TV Series Jump.

ULTIMATE SPIDERMAN

>LOCATIONBACKGROUNDSKILLS/PERKSSUPERPOWERSCOMPANIONSITEMS & GEARDRAWBACKS

I see. That's unfortunate.

Who's the purple haired Kira & the one with book in his face?

>Purple Haired
Bite the Dust arc Kira
>Book in his face
Afterlife Ghost Detective Kira in his spin-off

What can martial arts in Anima do? Heart mentioned they could be learned and do stuff, but the jump doesn't mention them.

Deliver JUSTICE.

Touhou. Gensokyo is full of great waifus.

A lot. There's an entire book just for it. But a quick summary would be "anything martial arts in an anime can do". Ki stuff is actually really powerful. It is, as you'd expect, focused on offense and defense. Not many utility powers, though there are a few. But within the framework of you using ki to attack and defend, it can do pretty much anything. Telekinesis, warping space and time, controlling any element you'd care for, manipulating the flow of life energy, unlocking your chi for a super mode, all sorts of crazy stuff.

Really depends on which ones you learn, the advanced martial arts are the ones that get the really fun stuff.

Rex Frame: Body Hardening, your skins like a suit of plate armour and you could ignore the likes of getting hit by a truck or falling out of orbit as long as the damage is from a mundane source.

Selene: Counter attack every time you dodge without really doing anything.

Lama Tsu: Always dodge to the best of your ability no matter than the number of attacks your dodging.

Velez: Make invisible energy attacks without moving.

Ect.

I see, thanks!

Deadman's Question was fun and I'd like to have seen more with that premise.

user, they are all awful people who start incidents at the drop of a hat.

Get better waifus.

Any setting that has a "build a companion" option. You can literally build the perfect waifu.

>they are all awful people who start incidents at the drop of a hat.

You're saying that as if that's a negative. Jumpers start far more crap than your average touhou.

The fact that many of the touhous punch waaaaay above their expected weight class and deal with trouble regularly means that without the danmaku rules, they're pretty handy to have around when violence is concerned.

And while violence isn't always the solution (blasphemy, I know!), using lots of violence tends to solve a lot of issues for jumpers when shit hits the fan.

Would taking the Lotus as a companion be a good idea? Not very far into warframe.

have completed most of the main quest, can confirm 9/10 Handler 6/10 Wifu material, she wouldn't leave her Tenno behind so you might need to Stay In that universe If you want to stay with her, Also she has a lot of baggage.

Fucking kill yourself.

Sekirei is pretty much built just for that.

As others have mentioned, Sekirei, Tenchi Muyo, and DxD are great as they all give you options for multiple waifus. Touhou has some pretty powerful waifus to choose from.

Nechronica will give you 1-4 "Sisters" for free if you decide not to import any companions. Perhaps more daughterus than waifus, but all of them become companions at the end of the jump.

Ranma 1/2 will allow you to companion anyone you legitimately become engaged to (even temporarily) during the jump, provided you can convince them to come along.

Overlord essentially lets you build a fairly powerful waifu/servant if you pay to make a custom NPC.

Generic Magical Girl allows you to make any and all of your allies into companions if you can convince them.

Van Hellsing gives you a single free choice from a number of interesting companions, several of which are waifu material.

There's lots more, but that's off the top of my head.

I think Crypt of the Necrodancer has a pretty top tier waifu, especially for a more active Jumper.

Usually, I'm the alternate version of myself, but Gravity Falls was an interesting time. Let's just say that I did not like the Blue version of myself.

She might make a good Warehouse caretaker or information specialist, but I doubt she's be much for front line action. Perhaps if you gave her a Warframe to pilot, maybe. I could see her being interesting, at least.

Almost forgot, Heaven's Lost Property is a good place to build a waifu Angelroid, considering that they imprint on their Master and serve them. If you're into that sort of thing, you can build one entirely to your tastes. If you pick up The Maker as a companion, you might very well be able to build a waifu Angelroid army given enough time...

I should also mention that No Game No Life (Jibril) and Darkstalkers (Morrigan) contain two powerful and pretty popular waifus. Morrigan is particularly interesting since she's actually a drawback.

This:
but with an addendum to try to find one with a clause insuring their loyalty.

Overlord the game is pretty good for that.

Step-By-Step on how to whip a twelve year old into shape.
1. Convince child to my idea. (Not too difficult since I know this movie and young Sing is annoyingly eager for this)
2. Hamon Awaken
3. Teaching Martial Arts usng my own variant of Drowning in Understanding Kata. (Not really just Keeping the Girls Up in Kung Fu, I’ll See Y’all Tomorrow (Black Dynamyte), Martial Arts Teaching (Wu Xia), used to teach the bare basics of Rokushiki (One Piece) with a focus on Tenkai) Involves me using I'll See Y'all Tomorrow to make everything non-lethal and then delivering a series of strikes that trains the body and instincts of the kid. (Teaching a variant of Tenkai Kempo that I've gotten down to an instinct thanks to Miracle of Effort)
4. After Sing is finished saving Fong use the time we have to train together whilst keeping up my old Kung Fu Guru stance.
4a. See if my expansive knowledge of Acupressure, Aromatherapy, Acupuncutre, & One Yang Finger can cure Fong of her Mute-ness. Just my opinion but I'd guess she'd like to speak.
4b. Teaching Bone & Fong alongside Sing.

Other things to do:
1. Keep the Boss out of the worst of their problems but mostly leave them to the other companions, who are mook legion when they wish to be, and hope the durability I gave them along with the plot armor is enough.
2. When the time comes become the spirit mentor.

Rolled 1 (1d4)

Slow day...

Fire emblem. Grima (onee sama!) was a pain.

There was talk of a generic reincarnation jump a while back, i think? Did anything ever come of that?

So jumpers, tell me.
What did you teach your child when you where an imaginary friend?
Tell me of the stories you shared with this child...

The only "generic reincarnation jump" I can think of was that one way back when that was just someone trying to make the "Do Over CYOA" into a jump. Not very successfully, though.

I just know the barebones of both settings, but when comparing deities from both would it be fair to say that barring a few exceptions SMT gods have overall more raw attack power but Exalted gods have overall more esoteric abilities, and they've both got a glass jaw when it comes to tanking hits without relying on active defenses?

Never heard of it, and I don't think it's come up in the past few months.

I meant in the style of Re:Monster and the others like it.

Disappointing.

Wood carving.

I have to admit I do have a thing for Fran.

Kind of hard to tell. SMT demon power levels when not counting the 'Even if you win you only delayed it' level stuff ranges from 'vague' to 'Why isn't this using any of its space-time warping powers in an actual battle?".

Depends on the god. Many Exalted gods are quite weak, the sort of thing that even Dragonblooded can bully around. Of course, many of them are incredibly powerful. It's actually a pretty continuous scale, the distribution is fairly even.

Only in Fairy Tail, due to how I fluff Backgrounds(I fuse with my alternate self from that world). Edolas Me was a prick.

You, I like you.

>your skins like a suit of plate armour
Don't lie to the man. Basic Rex Frame gives you a Damage Barrier of 60, Advanced gives you I think 120. A fucking Castle Wall has a Damage Barrier of 100. At advanced Rex Frame you have I think 8 in every type of resistance, the best Plate in the game only has 8 in a couple of things.
Your skin is WAY better than Plate.

There is always a light in the darkness, and everyone deserves help. Just because you're Kind and Good doesn't mean you have to take people's shit if they choose to get violent or aggressive.

The idea was, you would complete Terran, Zerg, and the as-yet unmade Protoss routes. After you did so, you would be given an option at an indeterminable time later on to go through the entirety of Starcraft's backstory and timeline to observe / interfere with varying events. This would culminate in you either ascending into your own form of a Xel'naga, or getting other assortments of rewards.

Unfortunately, the jumpmaker lost all patience and love for /jc/ and left.

Wait, so why don't we have jumps of other CYOAs? They're fiction, aren't they?

I admit I'd kill for a Stardust jump.

Family friendly content for everyone and if anyone goes off script? Well we have our ways. Sing, Fong, & Bone are running about having fun with their new ability to help folks whilst I am trying to balance my time between governing this city, the mayor ran off about three days in and when I repelled the pirates that were going to hit this place I was voted mayor, and keeping the various powers that be from burning everything down around my ears.

Seriously, some jerk-ass is throwing around nuke level spells in the local kingdom and I had to personally step in the way of what looked like a Kamehameha so that I could use You… Blocked in combination with my Demon Sword and Jumpaseiga using Thousand Hands Divine Fist training to stop the attack from leveling my city.

That is all background to the day-to-day grind of being a full time Mayor of a medieval city with a eye for progress. The walls of Pravoka are reinforced both physically and magically, Hamon is taught to the general public as a form of health care, literacy is on the rise, Martial Arts are taught to volunteers, Emergency Armories of Magic Yu-Gi-Oh Cards (Mostly Trap Holes funnily enough) and various other things are built, and in general I drag the town into the Renaissance era by it’s teeth. At every turn there are setbacks but I’m good enough to make due.

It's been tried a few times. The results weren't very good. That kind of put people off doing them.

(continued)
This takes around nine of the longer years I’ve endured and then it all comes tumbling down thanks to what amounts to a reality revision gone rampant. I managed to duck into the Warehouse with my companions when it happened but when we came out the only evidence that there had even been a city, a beacon of progress, is the truly massive amounts of holes in the ground.

All the many normal problems OC jumps would have to deal with and the additional risk of cross thread shitstorms with the general, needing to get permission from the author and the fact that all past attempts have been trashy.

The issue comes up that other CYOAs are usually balanced around whatever existing system that CYOA-maker created.

Trying to port that to a 1,000 CP system is a nightmare and a half.

>Unfortunately, the jumpmaker lost all patience and love for /jc/ and left.

So he's an asshole is what I'm reading.

I taught him all about the wonders of game design and how to properly use Mage of Light Powers.

It gives you an armour type of 6 in all things and a damage barrier of 200 at mastery, so plate like skin and the ability to ignore huge amounts of 'mundane' damage.

Damage barriers don't work on attacks able to damage energy, which is a lot of the supernatural stuff.

This post right here is everything that's wrong with this community. The entitlement is disgusting.

Right sorry, I got higher armor by using other stuff as well. And really? I must have been thinking of something else for the 120 DB, what the fuck gives 120DB?
....Monster Abilities from the Great Beasts Bloodline maybe?

And I know how dbs work. But it means you can fight an army, since most armies are entirely composed of mundanes, and not take a scratch

Don't feed scatovore.

This kind of attitude is exactly why jumpmakers don't want to stick around. People not wanting to put up with all the pointless salt, vitriol, and butthurt from anons who scream and bitch without making anything, to do something they don't get paid for and is supposed to be fun, gets comments like this.

Seriously, fuck you user.

This, just seriously I can't second this enough.

Jumpmakers are the ones who are entitled. They come in here without any commitment, without really any love for the community, and think that they can just get free attention and be worshiped just for crapping out some sub-par CYOAs.

...

>Anyone with a different opinion than me is "THE SHITPOSTER"!!!
fuck off, shitposter.

Then surely it means you can provide a better example by making a jump and showing everyone how it's done, right? You'll have no problem for someone who so obviously loves this place to actually put effort in, right?

At least they try. You just sit there samefagging and attacking people for retarded reasons.

...

We should add "Accuses people of themselves being shitposters when they call him out on his behavior" to the list.

>One post

>All it took was one. Fucking. Post.

>And it triggered so many others.

No, it was two posts. Learn to count, dumb ass.

Not that user, but I can see where he's coming from.

Everyone who's ever sincerely disagreed with me was either literally retarded or a shitposter (or the IRL equivalent).

Is "makes disdainful comments about /jc/, ostensibly to themselves but in a public space where anyone can hear them" on the list? I feel like it should be on the list. Because that's certainly shitposting in its own right. Might be a different asshole, though.

What is the safest and fastest FTL I can get in jumpchain? I don't want to end up with spacehulks everywhere.

Futurama, you can get to the other side of the Universe in a couple of hours.

Though some would argue it's not "technically" FTL due to how it works, they're just being pedantic.

Right, let's talk about something nonshitposter related.

Have you ever went on a drug fueled rampage, if so what jump, and how did it go?

Related, what jumps are the best for going on a drug fueled rampage in?

Drugs are bad, m'kay?

Dark Eldar is one of the best, if not THE best.
Both because of the large quantities of drugs to be used to fuel your rampage, and because nothing of value is lost if you kill Dark Eldar.

Dune has a pretty great one that's essentially teleportation, but it requires ridiculous calculations to get correct each time you use it. There's nothing really preventing you from making a computer to do that for you, but you'd have to build it yourself, because Dune itself has a crippling phobia of anything capable of processing power.

Now you're processing with power!

Soon. Sooooooon.

As an additional nice bit, for people who were a bit bummed there was no Phantom option...

I Reject My Humanity!(1000, discounted for Academic, Outcast): This is a dangerous route, but I’ll respect your fortitude. Very well. You are no longer human, as your weak self has been destroyed and replaced with a new and stronger form. You now have 600 phantom points to spend in the Custom Phantom section, gaining the abilities of the Phantom form you choose and able to modify yourself with the options given in that table. This cannot be stacked with The Phantom Pain but can be stacked with the bonus Phantom Points given by any of the ‘boosts’ in Missing Piece.

We've got a Schlock Mercenary jump floating around somewhere. Complete enough to jump, but I don't think it's on the drive. I'll try to find it. But anyways, teraport technology can go anywhere in the same galaxy instantaneously. It can go to other galaxies, but it's a much more complicated procedure that requires specialized facilities and lots more energy. And it's...mostly safe. In theory someone can jam it just as you teraport in order to make you smear yourself across four dimensions, but there are very reliable safety mechanisms in place to prevent that. You have to intentionally bypass them to terafrag yourself. Only real downside is that teraport pisses the pa'anuuri off something fierce, so don't use it in any world where there are transbaryonic gravity monsters or you're going to start a war.

So I just realized one of the Worm powers is straight telepathy.

Isn't that a little weird, seeing as telepathy isn't supposed to be a thing in Worm?

>Oarwards Unto Dawn
You monster.

Yes, I shall now ascend above such petty notions as justice.

Don't try to talk about a setting until you've read the entire thing, sweetie. It makes you look a bit slow :)

>That spoiler.
Oh... this is going to be difficult to chose.

Some of the powers in the Worm jump don't fit the series at all? Noooo, you must be joking user! Can't possibly be true.

What are you talking about? Telepathy is one of the most common powers in Worm. Every single parahuman in existence has it, if in a stunted form. The "there's no telepathy in Worm" thing is really just saying that there's no mind-body duality. Any telepathic power functions by manipulating your nervous system instead of some nebulous "mental energy".

...

>that description for Balor

By god you took my suggestion and did beautifully with it.

You beautiful bunny bastard.

The Commoragh jump is like a hot stripper.

Pretty to look at, but if you actually do it, you'll never get rid of the shame and STDs.

U Fokin Wot M8?

Oh, I like Lechuza's magic gun. That's neat. Actually, these are all really cool. But the best, in my opinion, are Nemea, Lechuza, and Karkino. I like those ones a lot.

>Balor
>Obvious Chuuni option
>Chuunis
MAXIMUM BULLY! ALL CHUUNIS MUST BE BULLIED!

I just burned the place to the ground, no drugs, and I refused the Dark Eldar Physiology perk.

On the opposite side of this

The Phantom Pain(300, discounted with “Just the Beginning”) - Somehow, perhaps as a Gate(or not)...you have managed to tame the beast in your heart and at least begin to unlock the powers of Magic by utilizing your Phantom. You now are able to access the Custom Phantom table and have 300 phantom points to spend on a Phantom of your choosing, either purchasing one or upgrading it. This can be stacked with any points received from “Missing Piece.” but this perk can only be purchased once.

O, Dragon In my Heart(100, discounted with “Just the Beginning”) - You have spoken to the Phantom in your heart and have unlocked further power here. Each purchase of this will grant you 100 “Phantom Points” to spend in the Custom Phantom table for any option, and it can be purchased multiple times.

If you wanna go balls deep into wizardry, you can.

Wow, aren't you just a cheeky asshole.

I admittedly haven't read it all, but I remember there being a big deal about no one really possessing true Professor X TP and people being panicked when TT tricked them into thinking that was her power.

It just seems weird, since I thought mind reading and direct thought implantation was either not a thing or a very, very rare thing that would be cause for extreme measures so it just seems out of place to the other powers.

I'm not complaining, just curious.

That's right, I called you a petty notion. Deal with it figgit.

k

Why must you make this so hard to choose?

Are you brain damaged? Read the fucking thing if you want to know. Jesus.
