This band is complete shit and was always overhyped because of their WH40k related ''lyrics'', it's their only selling point.

Really, Gloryhammer's initial album is pretty standard fantasy powermetal in vein if Rhapsody of Fire, just a bit sillier. In fact, I'm pretty sure they're directly parodying Rhapsody, since they also have the weird enunciation and phrasing that Rhapsody has despite being from the UK (Rhapsody of Fire is an Italian band, and the guy who sings and writes the lyrics doesn't really speak all that good English, so there's a lot of mispronounciations and some weird phrasing that might technically make sense but would never be used by native speakers).
Their second album is pretty 40k-like since the basic idea is "the fantasy setting from the first album, BUT IN SPACE IN THE FAR FUTURE (of 1990)!!!"
i love powerwolf, their just so damn good.
>Bolt Thrower
>shit
you automatically invalidate your taste in metal
I sure do love listening to incomprehensible lyrics and the same bit on guitar over and over
Different guy. I sympathize with your dislike of incomprehensible lyrics, as I prefer my metal vocals in the power metal style.
That said, if you can't recognize quality even in something you might personally dislike, it says a lot about your objectivity...or lack thereof.
tl;dr - you have bad taste and you should feel bad.

Gloryhammer is a brighter shade of 40k.
Still awesome though. I want to Universe on fire is my jam.

>Implying the "space fantasy" and "chaotic wizards summoning an eldritch horror" themes aren't at least somewhat 40k-themed.

Another imperial guard that Fits
It's old 40k, at best. The Earth was destroyed by a fucking immortal robot barbarian-owl king of California from the Shetland Islands flying to Fife and detonating his neutron star heart. It's awesome, but it's not really in step with modern 40k. That being said, I preferred old 40k.
theoretically, wouldn't classic rock and older metal fit better since 40K was made back then, with this kind of music in mind?
All of you are below my level

>reminiscent of 40k
Probably some sort of modern rap track where they just speak without rhyme or rhythm over the top of an old 70's/80's tune. It's 40k because it is made by talentless hacks and the only bit with any redeeming qualities was stolen from something else, but not quite enough to trigger copyright.
