>How's your current party like?
Falling apart. We lost our ray specialist and our ditz wizard, now we're down to the oblivious half-elf, the half-shark priest and the creepy rogue.

We're finally working together as a team!

I'm still not sure what our resident Earth Breaker wielder is, mechanically, and I'm not sure where the Oradin went, and the GM is reading this post, but we're actually getting the hang of all this, which is neat.

Reminder that there is literally no reason not to run either Automatic Bonus Progression or Innate Item Bonuses for your games

A bunch of sneaky-stabby-not!pirate types and me, a wizard.

Zero ranged options
Zero heavy frontliners
Zero magic support outside of myself
Zero roleplay vesides "let's steal shit"
I want off this ride.

I'm fucking tired of this shit, first it was a "thieves guild" campaign that went nowhere other than "lel we steal" and now it's the same fucking thing with pirates.

I love those rules and wish they were being used in more games.

You're a wizard, tell your party and your GM that you're sick of this shit. Teleport everyone to a different plane.

>Teleport everyone to a different plane
>being level 5
How? I get the Wizards are gods meme, but isn't that after level 8?

This is why I cringe every time someone says they want a Sky Pirates campaign. Because we all know it will only devolve into murderhobo IN THE SKIES.

Posting from end of last thread. Actually for saves I'll start with the most off the top of my head build I can think of:

Half-orc Savage Technolgist:

Base Stats: 8/18/16/12/14/10
Stats w/ Items: 8/22/20/12/14/10
Stats w/ Raging: 12/28/22/12/14/10

Relevant Gear:
Belt of Physical Might +4/+4
+3 Cloak of Resistance

Relevant Rage Powers:
Superstition
Reflexive Dodge

Relevant Traits:
Carefully Hidden
Fate's Favored

Saves (While Raging):
Fort: 8 (base) + 6 (con) + 3 (cloak) + 2 (tattoo w/ fate's favored) + 9 (superstition w/ human FCB) = +28
Reflex: 4 (base) + 9 (dex) + 3 (cloak) + 2 (tattoo w/ fate's favored) + 3 (reflexive dodge) + 9 (superstition w/ human FCB) = +30
Will: 4 (base) + 2 (wisdom) + 3 (rage) + 3 (cloak) + 1 (carefully hidden) + 2 (tattoo w/ fate's favored) + 9 (superstition w/ human FCB) = +24

I could go farther.

Planeshift requires level 13 for a wizard, level 9 for a cleric.

Additional reminder that you can't apply a stat to a statistic twice. It doesn't have anything to do with the bonus type, this isn't a magic item, or a spell, or a morale bonus or any other kind of bonus. It's just a general, old as dirt rule.

Can a monk beat those saves?

>It's just a general, old as dirt rule.
Link to the SRD or page number.

To be honest, fuck any "we're chaotic and don't play by the rules!" type campaign. They all have zero character diversity in them. Everyone is some dex-based, high stealth and high knowledge or socials (or both), CG douche who "has a troubled, dark past" that they never talk about in session. Or you're any other character but meet constant opposition from the GM/other players on the "lack of theming" you have.

I mad.

>It's just a general, old as dirt rule.
If by old as dirt you mean made up by JJ to fuck monks.

It was a FAQ thing.

link the fucking FAQ faggot

>you will never be the only sane man, along for the ride out of an obligation that might be called strictly business

In the end, I can't help but imagine an optimised barbarian being full buffed to basically be this

youtube.com/watch?v=2cjbSgy3vSw

It was never actually in an official FAQ or errata and was just said by JJ on the forums, and JJ has specifically said don't use his forum posts as the word of god.

what's the rule for applying a strength penalty to melee weapon damage?

It's not worth it man.
There's so many better things you could be doing with your time.

i believe your earth breaker wielder is a kineticist/fighter

I'm personally a big fan of the Paragon system from Worlds of Power.

Most specifically, because you get 'paragon bonus' as you level, which is just 'plus this to most things'

Saves, attacks, damage, etc.

Much simpler than paizo's thing of like, attunement and such.

And also, the specific case which is responsible for this is the Inquisitor's multiple (At least two) cases of 'in addition to' and 'instead of'. Whereupon the question is not about stat stacking, but whether or not 'in addition to' counts as a specific trumping the general rule of no stat stacking.

Is there a list of racial slurs for fantasy races out there?
I'm looking to play a rough 'n ready Barbarian and I need swears.

What is the most meme-able RotJR character posted about so far either in roll20 or these threads?

Tuskless for an orc/proud half-orc is my favourite.

Gamagirly is the neo-meme, Oni-girl is the old meme.

Rising superstar priestess might topple them both, but only until we get a face to the name.

So far the memes seem to be mostly on the NTRDwarf lately, with previous memes being on the Bookwork and Brawny Kaijitsu sisters.

NTRDwarf, by far.
>mfw a butt ugly dwarf seduces Ameiko
>mfw a butt ugly dwarf steals all the NPC grills
>mfw the DM doesn't even bother asking him to roll

Isn't DHB the one who made NTRDwarf and said it isn't gonna be used for NTR.

Welp, I've nailed down the kinda character I'd wanna play.

Fighter/Stalker Vigilante spidergal thief.

And now for the most arduous part of character making.

The name.

I think the Diplodorf is someone else, not DHB. DHB was gonna play and test his UC Fighter. Pretty sure the DM said it was okay, since a Cavalier NPC they were gonna use was his UC Cavalier anyway.

>I think the Diplodorf is someone else, not DHB. DHB was gonna play and test his UC Fighter. Pretty sure the DM said it was okay, since a Cavalier NPC they were gonna use was his UC Cavalier anyway.
No that's a different game. DHB is playing Diplodwarf as well. He even posted backstory stuff with his trip on by accident.

DHB was applying to two different games. One Hell's Rebels (?) game where he's playing UC Fighter, and RotJR where he's the ntrdwarf fiendbound marauder.

Yeah, but that doesn't matter for meme potential.

>Bolt Ace whose attempts to be a lovable scoundrel are hampered by everything in his life going wrong due to supernatural bullshit; recently learned his mother may have sold his soul
>Skald whose tribe mysteriously disappeared without a trace, despite her best attempts to find them; very nearly got forcibly turned into a deep one hybrid
>Beast-Bonded Witch who just wants to use the strange powers she's been given to help other people; probably the nicest person in the group
>Druid who figures into the Witch's childhood somehow; replacement PC for the poor bastard who was murdered by deep ones, hasn't really established herself yet
>Witch Killer Slayer who has dedicated himself to protecting people from witches; is kind of a nice guy when he's not beheading/burning people

It sure as fuck isn't me, since I haven't done much on /pfg/ or the roll20 threads recently.

But I'm almost ready to post in the character thread, so there's that at least.

memes

the DNA of the soul

You can't fight nature, Jack!

>go to give gift to Ameiko
>knock on the door to her chambers
>NTR dwarf answers shirtless
>ask if Ameiko is there
>he says she's a bit tied up at the moment, but he can take a message
>spill spaghetti and leave, throw away gift

This is true suffering.

>NTRdwarf
What fresh new meme or hell is this?

>Implying he doesn't seduce you as well.

>offhand comment that he only seduces cute people
>tfw you're the only girl in the party he hasn't seduced
Maximum over suffering

There's a dwarf with 8 charisma that has +22 to his Diplomacy check, and the player said they would use the Romance/relationship system to get Ameiko.

DHB made a dwarf for RotJR that gets +22 to diplomacy at level 3.

Maybe that's because he's flying wingman for the guy who wants to do more than just seduce you.

>If the caravan's a-rockin', don't come a-knockin'

>tfw he is an experienced Caravaneer too with the professions to back it up
Is there anything he can't do?

For what purpose?

Y'all can have Ameiko. I personally want Sandru.

Lookit that beard! Those muscles! That smile!

>and the player said they would use the Romance/relationship system to get Ameiko.
No, he said he would advance his relationship with all of them and only engage in a romantic one when he felt appropriate. He is poised to NTR you at any time.

N T R
T
R

But really, he's going to try and seduce Ameiko if he gets in. He's also trying to get the relationship system to work off of his WIS instead of his dumped CHA.

What are the rules to Wall of Force?
Can you make turns with it?
Can you make a box with it?
Can you trap people into wall of force boxes with it?

I guess the only thing to do is try to romance another player.

Could he still NTR me then?

The description makes it even worse:
>Extremely tall for a dwarf at 4'8", but desperately thin. His skin is a pale grey that either clings to his bones or hangs off in bunched folds. Sunken watery eyes disappear behind a heavy brow, and his nose is misshapen on one side due to being severely broken, but is still large and slightly hooked. His head is cleanly shaven, and his face is adorned with only coarse black stubble. A strong jawline and pronounced chin give his face a drawn look, particularly his large drooping eyebrows contribute to this. His physique is one of wiry strength, but next to no substantial muscle mass. He normally dressed extremely smartly, switching between his well kept armor and well dressed merchant's garb. Unfortunately due to his skin not agreeing with the harsh sun the top of his head is nearly permanently raw pink, the skin peeling in the heat. To hide this he wears a overside round hat that sits atop his head in a poof. If seen without his shirt one will notice an enormous amount of scarring covering his hands and arms, ending just past his shoulders. While the scars are now faded to a degree the numerous white lines criss cross each other. They become more pronounced on his back where the gnarled flesh form large permanent welts of built up scar tissue.

>mfw

Made this just for /pfg/

>He's also trying to get the relationship system to work off of his WIS instead of his dumped CHA.
He has 8 charisma, for a dwarf that is average.

You're never safe from NTR.

Can't influence another PC's attitude with social skills, just lie to them and such. You're immune to him seducing you. Inter PC romance is going to be the much better choice anyway.

Read the spell description. It's fairly unambiguous.

Only if you want him to.

He's basically the second type of guy they use in hentai. They're either generic, or butt-fucking-ugly for some godawful reason.

Well it does not deny me of doing it

>If seen without his shirt one will notice an enormous amount of scarring covering his hands and arms, ending just past his shoulders.
>If seen without his shirt one will notice an enormous amount of scarring covering his hands and arms
>If seen without his shirt one will notice an enormous
>If seen without his shirt on

Relationships in Jade Regent are advanced through leveling up and completing secret objectives, but the most reliable way is giving gifts.

Gift-giving is a complicated affair in Jade Regent, for starters it can only be done once a level. It also requires two things, a good gift and a Diplomacy roll that exceeds your current Relationship score with the character. Exceed the score by more than 5 and you double the addition to your Relationship score.

For example, let's say my character has a Relationship Score of 12 with Shalelu. If I give her a longbow, I need to beat a DC 12 if I want to get +1 to my score, or beat a DC 17 if I want to get a +2 to my score.

This might not sound too bad until you consider the Romance Scores (the minimum required to start a "romantic" relationship) are typically in the 30s, meaning a character must beat a DC 40 if they want to make Ameiko their waifu.

HOWEVER

Everyone is forgetting there is ANOTHER aspect of the Relationship system; Rivalry. This system works on Intimidation, not Diplomacy, and assumes the character gives the NPC something they hate. A high Rivalry gives bonuses just as well as a high Relationship, and you can literally start a sexual relationship with a character you're Rivals too. Literally hatefucking.

>Perpetually sunburnt head
>Wears a hat to cover it

HOW IS HIS HEAD SUNBURNT IF HE WEARS A HAT ALL THE TIME TO COVER HIS SUNBURN?

>That spoiler

That's what I'm planning to do, too. Dating one of the NPCs feels wrong, I'd much rather shack up with a player and have cute fun roleplaying with them.

>He's basically the second type of guy they use in hentai. They're either generic, or butt-fucking-ugly for some godawful reason.
He isn't so bad. He dressed well and wears a big poofy hat.

He's a dwarf. He probably burns in the five minutes flat.

What do you THINK "flat, vertical plane" means?

that its thickness is very small

Use Wall of Stone instead. It'll do everything a Wall of Force does and more.

NTRDwarf is a dirty cannibal who was exiled from dwarven culture for his crimes!

Keep going...

Flat vertical plane says nothing about thickness.

It's flat and it's upright.

Maybe he looks dumb enough that this guy in the bar thinks he'll go fuck him up!

Same here desu. Especially with finding someone who complements my character's flaws.

The world is round so every direction is vertical if you just look at it from the necessary perspective

You know who I bet compliments your character's flaws? NTRDwarf

>Everywhere is the high ground, from a certain point of view

Yeah, just like gravity pulls in every direction somewhere so I can just walk up this wall.

I'm going to nab all you cuties!

Is Profession (Monster Hunter) legit or not?
I feel it may be too close to (Adventurer)
I'm looking to use it for preparing against specific monsters (such as bringing a large mirror for gaze attacks), tracking, less in-depth version of monster lore checks, etc.

Similarly, do you think Lore (Famous Monsters) is legit? Famous as in "Swamp-eye the Dire Crocodile" and not as in "Goblin"

>I'm looking to use it for preparing against specific monsters (such as bringing a large mirror for gaze attacks), tracking, less in-depth version of monster lore checks, etc.

That's Knowledge (Dungeoneering) and (Nature.) Being a Monster Hunter is Dungeoneering and Nature.

I would say Famous Monsters in a particular region or related to a particular subject would be on the same level as "Inns in a particular region".

>being only binary gravitational
wow when will you stop being such a shitlord

What are your character's flaws?

What if I'm a spider?

NTRDwarf is already most of the way there. By level 7 he'll be able to get 40 on a take 10.

>I'm going to nab all you cuties!

With what, your 7 charisma?

What is NTRDwarf's backstory? Is it just memes?

How can a middle aged plump priestess be cute?

Pass

Hey my charisma is 8! I'd prefer if I was the one nabbed.

Ah, I thought you'd say that, /pfg/
I'm stretching myself thin with skill ranks, so I figured I could save a few this way.
Guess I'll reshuffle them into knowledges.

Alright, yeah. Sounds fair.

He got trapped in a collapsed mine and had to cannibalize his dead miner friends to survive, then got exiled for cannibalism.

Is he a wendigo?

I hope not, that shit's like a CR 16.

Not at all, as he is thus far.

She's distrustful, self-loathing, and has trouble relying on anyone else for help.

That's actually fucking depressing. How did he become an inquisitor/ordained defender though if he isn't from a church?

A Wendigo made of NTR.

>That spoiler

You know the answer to that as well as I do, user. A plump middle-aged priestess is perfect for handholding and being the little spoon.

>Hey my charisma is 8!

I must have mistaken you for the foxfag, unless you messed with scores since last time.
