Versus Thread: 40k Edition

Two characters from 40k face off in a 1v1. Who wins?

I'll start.

Ahriman vs Celestine

Ahriman.

Celestine.

Like the rest of the TS, Ahriman has a history of fucking up. Meanwhile, Celestine has a history of wrecking shit, including a daemon prince and his whole army.

I wanna go now!:

Gork vs Mork

WELL DAT'Z EAZY: GORK. 'E'Z KUNNINGLY BRUTAL.

MORK IZ DA KUNNING UNE YEA GIT!
GORK IS BRUTALY KUNNING!

U ZOGGIN' WOT
FITE ME, I'LL KRUMP YA

Alpharius vs Omegon

Celestine is dead already though.

>inb4 someone brings up Celestinor

fuck off

Alpharius

Daemon Prince Magnus vs Kaldor Draigo

Kharn Vs Sevatar

Kharn would kick his ass. Sevatar got killed, Kharne has been fighting for ten thousand years and still hasn't gotten offed yet.

Celestine

They both "die"

I want to say Magnus however precedence suggests Draigo stomps somehow

Kharn

Ahriman

Magnus

Captain Titus vs the Codex Astartes

Captain Titus as he is able to see the true value of the codex astartes

Dante vs Swarmlord

Dante, the Swarmlord is a bitch and BA are all based.

Wrong heretic Codex always win

Captain Titus fails as a captain and only doesn't die because of plot. A CO blindly throwing himself at the enemy, even for space marines, is completely fucking retarded. A commander should always be removed from the direct front, leading his men in advance but never at the tip of the spear.

Abaddon vs this guy

>who is calgar
>who is sicarius
>who is ventris

kill yourself

Captain Titus vs this nerd

Yarrick vs. every Chaos God.

>it still wouldn't be fair for chaos

At least all three of those guys typically go into battle only when they have support. Titus meanwhile is braindead, so he deepstrikes in the heart of the enemy with no backup of any kind, meaning his entire company will be decapitated and lose its leadership if he bites it. At the start of the game he jumps onto a ship with a fucking ORK WARBOSS whose the size of a Dreadnought. Without his Command Squad. With only two weirdos backing him up, who did not bring any special weapons or even power weapons.

Fuck at least Calgar always brings a power weapon with him, same with Sicarius. Meanwhile Titus tried to solo an Ork Warboss with a fucking chainsword.

And he succeeded with flying colours.

So stay fucking mad.

He didn't try to - he did. He singlehandedly destroyed that entire ship and then went on to slaughter a few hundred more Orks with just a knife and a pistol before even getting his chainsword or proper bolter.

Titus is either one of the greatest Ultramarines to ever live or a chosen of Khorne.

Asterion Moloc VS. Tyberos The Red Wake

Celestine in fluff, Ahriman in crunch.

Battle of the Angels! The Sanguinor vs. Celestine.

>immune to psykers
>ripping and tearing
>heals and shit from ripping and tearing

This is the real reason the inquisition abducted him.

Sanguinor, easily

Assuming he's Sanguinius, he fought Horus, fueled by the gods of chaos themselves, toe to toe, and still managed to injure him severely enough for the Emperor to slay him.

Now, he's a divine angel of gold intervening on behalf of the Blood Angels and easily defeating any of their enemies. He's one of the strongest individuals in 40k.

shit, forgot pic

they're both un-killable faith constructs that keep re-appearing out of nowhere, so I think this one is a stalemate

Farsight vs Shadowsun! Also, which is better, Mont'ka or Kauyon?

If SS can keep in cover/stealthed and attempt to ID FS then she wins, but if FS ever gets into melee he wins hands down.

well, Farsight does have the shield generator, so there's a chance he lives from her shooting. if you actually did this 1v1 on the tabletop it would be a game of chicken and LoS fuckery.

as far as fluff goes, the only reason Shadowsun killed the Raven Guard CM was because she recruited a bunch of sacrificial body doubles, spent a ton of resources making copies of her high-end custom stealth suit as decoys, and then used a fucking Ghostkeel to ambush him while he was killing a body double. she's pretty wasteful. Farsight also has a fuckload more experience than she does now given that he was alive and doing things while she was in stasis.

of course, plot dictates that at the climax of their battle they throw down their weapons and fuck each other's brains out, though.

Only out of plot based luck, otherwise he would have fucking died. A Captain stands no chance against what was basically a mega warboss with a power klaw. Especially not when he's armed with a CHAINSWORD. Titus only survived thanks to the Ork's gun battery for some reason not being manned or the warboss not just charging down and killing him. Which is out of character, because Warbosses always engage enemy champions.

Aun'va vs Decius XXIII! No bodyguards or entourages included, just lock the two old men in a room and check back later to see who's still standing.

but Aun'va already got scared to death by a creepy guy in a fetish suit with a penis shaped skull mask

A 5 man squad of custodes with halberds versus a 5 man squad of Deathwing Knights, all in smite mode for delicious AP 2.

Presumably this fight would occur before the gimp attack. Or it would actually be a fight between Decius and a hologram.

Custodes. They have better genetics, better training, and better weaponry.

Logan Grimnar vs Azrael

What a sexist.

A bunch of sacrificial body doubles? She used one and the double was wearing replica of her proto-stealth armor, not the real thing.

So the cost of killing a single Tau Chapter Master is a cardboard wearing Shas'Ui. You went out of your way to make her look bad just because she was a woman. Making stuff up like that.

Marine chapter master*

Logan. Especially since he's arguably more badass than his own Primarch.

If Gork likes smashin n Mork likes slashin, oo's betta at thrashin'?

Helbrecth vs Grimaldus

Gork iz betta! Smashin' iz more loik thrashin' den slashin', ya git!

DEN OO'S BETTA AT DAKKIN? ans wez ain't even talked bout choppin' humies yet

I'm talking table dumbass. Also custodes weapons are actually worse than Deathwing Knights.

Captain-General of Adeptus Custodes vs Commander Shadowsun

Captain general

The Beast vs Leman Russ

Decius XXIII is a master of bible-fu. Meanwhile Aun'va doesn't even have a real bible, just a digital one on his Au'pad. The outcome is obvious, Decius' the OG space pope.

A Taufag VS an Orkfag

Aun'va is a hologram. Aun'va wins.

Kharn vs Lucius?

Warhammer 40k General vs The Horus Heresy General

Kharn kills Lucius. Lucius respawns out of Kharn's body, killing him. Khorne resurrects Kharn. Repeat.

Aun'shi vs Yarrik

A nurgling vs a ripper

Who is more Likely to swipe your wallet, Trazyn or the Blood Ravens?

Actually, Khârn has been killed multiple times (at the seige of Terra, getting thrown in front of a speeding land raider by Garro), it's just Khorne brings him back because he's good at murder.

>Nerd uses Turbo Autism
>It's super effective

>40k
>something not being based on plot armor
Have you ever read anything 40k related?

Ends in gloriously divine golden sex.

Sly vs Solar Macharius

Aun'shi with a onager gauntlet and fusion blades in his backpocket or Imotekh, with everything but mindshackle scarabs and the put away box (thats shits fucking cheating)

user, she's a greater daemon/daemon prince for the Emperor. She only dies when he says so. She is very much alive.

Abaddon VS Björn (in his prime)

BA and SoB have a history.
Twilight is still read in the 40th mellenium

Doesn't Celestine have a better save, initiative, and battle score tho? Wouldn't she most likely win?

This tbqh

Of this is 30k Sev would win. Kharn lost to Amit afterall

Toughty there. We don't know of the red wake is the chapter master of space sharks but I'm giving it to the minotaur

The Ork Prime that won against Vulkan? He'd beat the ever loving shit out of Russ.

What do you mean in his prime? During the HH Bjorn started making a name for himself, I'd say his prime was right after he was put into a dreadnaught.

If its GC Abs vs Bjorn Abs wins

Yarrick 10/10

1v1? Sly

Abaddon

Fuck Russ, the Beast would eat him alive

Farsight's sword is supposed to be of unknown origin, heavily hinted Chaos artifact, wheras this on the picture clearly has Tau parts.

They refit the blade for easier use with a crisis suits that is how the official model looks as well.

Abaddon killed things far more dangerous than any dreadnaught, even Bjorn. Would definately have to put effort to it but except for maybe Draigo no loyalist has a chance against him. Remember he killed Sigismund, that mofo was the best loyalist swordsman ever.

I ship it

Memeroth vs SSSIIIIIINNNDDDDRIIIIII!!!!

My favorite character beats your favorite character.

Fuck off, my favorite character absolutely destroys your favorite character.

Was it ever confirmed that Abaddon killed Sigismund? Abaddon was still around after the duel but there could be a chance that it was a draw and Sigismund survived. Also this would've probably been past Sigismund's prime.

Abbadon vs the sanguinor

maybe sigismund is the reason abaddon has no arms

Swarmlord vs. Ghazghull Thraka

Remember that one time Calgar has to fight off an ork waaagh by himself.
Remember that one time Calgar decided to replace 'The Ultramarine Chapter' with 'Feral Citizens' when fighting a night lords warband.
At least Titus brings his men with him.

HHG has a much, much lower population, but WH40Kgen would break out into civil war part way through the fight.
It could go either way.

No...Sevatar would wreck Kharn's shit. Sevatar was able to keep up with Sigismund and was one of the best fighters in all the Legions.

Kharn was good but Jago, Corswain, and a few others were better.

>Remember that one time Calgar has to fight off an ork waaagh by himself.
That was revealed to be propaganda by a recent black library book, in which Calgar actually held the wall with a small army of space marines against a small group of Orks.

>Remember that one time Calgar decided to replace 'The Ultramarine Chapter' with 'Feral Citizens' when fighting a night lords warband.
Most likely propaganda as well.

This was only prior to his ascension. Post ascension Kharn is impossible to kill and stalemated one of Khorne's chief bloodthirsters in a duel WHILE WOUNDED.

Against modern ascended Kharn Sigismund would fucking die. In the latest campaign book, Kharn dueled an Imperial Knight in melee. He killed it.

Kharn was killed at least once already, during the Siege of Terra.

Lucky for him back then evacuating with the fetishized bodies of the dead was all the rage.

Mind bullets are a bitch though

I don't think he's Sanguinius. He's not anything like as robust as the Primarchs we have rulesets for.

He could be the ghost of Sanguinius, but by implication there we'd be accepting his power levels took a big hit. It's just as likely that he's the ghost of Azkaellon, assuming Dante himself isn't actually Azkaellon, functionally immortal and just taking on new names to prevent suspicion of unnatural practices falling any harder on the BA.

Not funny.

The only way Sigismund was getting out of his encounter with Abaddon was if Abaddon spared him.

Remember that Sigismund was surrounded by Chaos champions who have just defeated three Chaos Primarchs before emerging from the Eye. It was a massive sign of trust and respect for Sigismund to hope that Abaddon had asense of honour and how face him alone rather than have his men tear him apart.

Sigismund was a dead man anyways. He loses, Abaddon kills him. He wins, Khayon and the others would flay him alive. It was adeath-death situation.

trust and respect from Sigismund*
