So with myself and 4 other Solar Companions in a hypothetical Solars jump pretty much nothing in the setting could challenge us once we reach Essence 6?
How realistic would it be for a jumper, presumably starting as a fresh exalt, to reach essence 6 in ten years? I'm guessing not very?
Takes 100 years iirc.
Jumpers--has shit ever gone tits up for you that you've had to be rescued by your companions? regale me with your tales
Tell me Jumpers.
Tell me of the deals you've made.
The countries you've toppled.
The Demons you've swindled.
I want it all
Jumpers, do you prefer sticking to settings you're familiar with, or do you jump settings even if you don't know them?
I prefer settings I'm familiar with but I'll jump others. Unless it's something like Exalted.
Jumpers, which caste of Solar would you be and why?
That's stupidly good.
Which ones were the sorcerers again? Research and such fits my personality best, even if sorcery is shit.
Pretty much nothing could challenged you. On their own, without backup.
You'll steamroll pretty much everything normally, and have a chance of beating ridiculously powerful shit like the US. But you can still be taken down and/or run out of essence.
And there's still stuff like Ligier who is noted to consider everything /short/ of five Solars at Essence 6+ not even a challenge.
And it takes 100years minimum, unless you get a specific Charm to rush it.
If we're talking which I'd prefer, then Eclipse. Oath-Binding's cool and much more useful than all the other Caste powers. Don't even care about charmshare.
But if we're talking which fits best... Probably Night or Twilight. Sneaksy and Sorcery.
Probably Eclipse. I like diplomacy, and I like having potentially super-broken anima powers.
Twilight. They come with the worst Caste Mark, though, so enjoy that.
I made a deal with a dragon.
Oh yeah, they have the emoji right?
>the worst Caste Mark
It's like you don't even want to have an emoji on your forehead.
I jumped to a sci-fi setting because it was specifically out of my comfort zone and it was good shit
Only emotionally.
Twilight, I like tinkering with stuff
Changelog:
Made Paraglider return to the owner at end of jump if they'd lent them to others.
Fixed odd border in drawbacks.
Added clarification to Authority about when it applies.
Altered drawback cap from 2 to 600CP not counting add-on drawbacks.
The main change, and the reason I did this, is that I've altered the text to be more legible, the Sly Cooper font is now used only for headings and titles.
How long did it take you to start abusing your powers?
RIP Naughty Dog.
Jump #5
I'd be a Zenith. Rulership and instilling my own morality into the populace are my main goals goals as a jumper, so the priest king caste fits perfectly. Their anima power is shit though, so I'll probably choose Dawn or Twilight when the jump comes out.
I used the emotion reading bit of Aura to cheat at poker in Pokemon.
I managed to hold on and resist the temptation for a long time. Felt it I should use these powers for something greater, you know?
Still, I eventually decided "fuck it, let's have fun"... But atleast I held on for a solid hour or two.
Just between you and me what Jump rules do you blatantly ignore? Could be for an individual Jump or the entire Chain.
What counts as "abusing your power" because I'm fairly certain I took to vigilante work despite how I was a respectable noble simply because I have to beat up evildoers and bandits.
it makes me feel good about being violent without being an outright sadist and unleashing it on the weak
Pods? What are..."pods"?
Is there enough room in the Gang Van for a full crew of nine (including Jumper)? If not, how many people can comfortably fit within the Gang Van?
Sly was Sucker Punch. You're probably thinking of Crash Bandicoot, which we somehow don't seem to have a jump for yet.
We do not, but there are new Crash games (or at least HD re-releases) in the future. Hope lives on.
Several rules regarding companions.
Yeah I always get them mixed up.
RIP Sucker Punch tho, they're doing even worse than Naughty Dog on the "Fun games." front.
As long as you're not trying to fit giants in there or something, yes.
Have they released anything since Infamous? I liked all the infamous games.
I use several non-QS supplements and non-/jc/ jumps in my build
Is there anything else like EP's Cortical Stack? Something that links your powers and perks with your consciousness?
I mean it scales with how much spiritual energy you put into the attack/power/etc. If you made it a Unique Power it's base power at the lowest form would be enhanced by your spiritual energy, creating a more powerful attack at it's baseline.
I regularly use magic when I'm too lazy to cook actual food. I don't even need to eat anymore, I just like the sensation of a good meal.
...that's what you mean, right?
I've been surprisingly conservative with my perks and abilities. I could theoretically blow up moons all I wanted, but I mostly just use utility and mooch off of the local protag's stuff while making fun of people.
I make companions with 600 CP and a free origin. They don't come with me, and instead represent friends I make during the jump.
Instead of retaining gender, I flip a coin whenever I take a non drop-in origin. Just to make things interesting, you see.
If it's a setting that takes place in a school, or something otherwise age segregated, I can disregard the age roll and just make myself the same age as the protagonists.
I have multiple jumpers in chains.
lewd
I ignore the "be interesting" rule, with the caveat that said jumper has a big enough heart that they end up getting involved in stuff anyway.
I don't have any companions yet.
I destroyed the Statute of Secrecy in Harry Potter in a very elegant, sophisticated manner: I shot people with the Arrowhead from Jojo and Spread Hammon until there were too many people with Stands to cover up.
I go with whatever seems interesting for my Jumper, familiar or not.
Twilight.
Well, Jojo was Jump #5, and I tend to use my Stand to cheat at games of chance.
I occasionally ignore drawback caps.
I pretend my chain is multiplayer.
And have Jumper vs Jumper conflicts.
This includes some of the assholes in here.
In Nomine has a few perks that link attributes with your consciousness... Other than that? Maybe Shapeshifter+Part Swap from Adventure Time?
In settings that have you roll for what time you appear in (like Assassin's Creed) I just pick without spending cp. In jumps that have a 'trap' location roll (like Supernatural) I give myself a free reroll if I land on the trap location.
Eclipse because the Anima powers are pretty great, but also because it meshes well with my current theme.
> I occasionally ignore drawback caps.
I did similar for Minecraft, because I saw someone having the Wither and Herobrine drawbacks, I ruled that I was able to use +600 of non-spawn drawbacks, in addition to the spawn drawback, and also in addition to the drawbacks that come with some of the perks (those don't count towards drawback cap), allowing me to have +2100 CP, or 3100 total.
Jumpers, what is your Persona Arcana
Also Jak and Faster, Uncharted, and the Last of Us. Huh. We really DON'T have any Naughty Dofg jumps. I find that somewhat surprising.
I mostly agree with this, apart from the fact that I'm okay rolling for time in settings where Time Travel is prominent.
*Jak and Daxter. Because who doesn't love autocorrect?
My Coordinator was a little disappointed in my performance during my last Jump, so he decided to let each of my Companions have a turn in the driver seat. Which means I only get as much as a Companion would.
The Sun.
Jump five, Girls und Panzer.
Look, I'm not saying that the only reason Ooarai beat the University All-Stars was because a motherfucking Charizard showed up and distracted everyone.
All I'm saying is that at least it makes more sense then a fucking mechanical bear car thing.
I did a couple online quizzes and my results were almost always Magician. So I was stuck with the shittiest arcana meant for losers at the beginning of their personal development who are worth nothing.
However, in a few of the quizzes and all of the quizzes involving the higher arcana, I hit Moon. Since I took the perk for a second persona based on the higher arcana this fit. Anyway, Moon is also terrible, because it's for the insane and pathetic losers plagued by inadequacy and a negative self image. So complete losers. In Persona, it's represented by fat people.
So in short, Magician and Moon, two of the worst arcana in the tarot.
About as long as it took me to /get/ powers. Although there's a semantic discussion to be had here.
Posting to see if I can get any fresh criticism before I call this refined to Jumpable.
Can you just eat other Hollows instead of Pluses? And if you reach Fifth Step do you still need to consume souls? It returns your heart, right?
I sometimes use older versions of jumps to be able to use removed or unnerfed versions of nerfed perks (such as Save State in the Pokemon jump) and I also rule that with Save State, I can reroll all jump rolls (such as location, or age) 10 times per jump as long as I roll all of them (so I can't roll one but keep the other), because I'm wanking that I'm using Save State to go back to before I did the rolls for the jumps.
And the Powers Supplement!
You can't choose it though. I mean, technically you can but as your second persona. What's the original arcana
>Can you just eat other Hollows instead of Pluses?
This is a canon thing that can be done, yes.
>And if you reach Fifth Step do you still need to consume souls?
As I understand it no.
> It returns your heart, right?
Yes
Man, I got Magician, then I got Chariot, then I got Emperor. All in different quizes
Been draining douchebags of their Fortune Energy since jump 2.
It is both personally satisfying and a public service.
The Wheel of Fortune. I'm all about that luck this chain.
You don't need to eat souls anymore as Vasto Lorde already.
Gauntlet what is the difference between artificially inducing Fifth Step and natural one? And would Fullbringer benefit from it in any way and how
See, that's the thing. I took a dozen quizzes. My results were very consistent. The only arcana outside of those two I ever really hit was Judgement and that was on one quiz.
Source?
I'm thinking about jumping innustrad right now and I only have a very cursory understanding of MTG lore.
I make it a point not to jump any setting I don't know enough to write about, so I just wanted to ask anyone who knows more than me if just reading Shadow over innistrad would be enough to understand what's going on in the jump.
Didn't Starrk and Lilynette just sit in one spot for years on end?
It literally was point of discussion in quest at one point. Harribel'a Vasto Lorde form and Kaizar's too both had their mouths covered up to signify they don't need to eat souls anymore
Moon is actually great. The main antagonist of P4 Arena Ultimax, Sho, is strong, badass and has Persona of Moon Arcana, Tsukiyomi
I have Persona slotted in two of my Chains.
In the first, my Arcana was Judgement, and I called Horus to mind. He had pitch black skin, and wore a very long, bulky feathered coat, along with a ruby-tinted glasses and a beak mask. The lens of glasses were shaped like the Eye of Horus. He represented my desire to find equality and balance in all aspects of my life. Nothing out of place. Everything in perfect harmony.
In the second, My Arcana was Lovers, and my call was answered by Pygmalion. He himself was like a grey-marbled statue, with pen nibs for fingernails. I'm not yet very far into this journey.
I did a quiz and got the heirophant, but thats like...completely opposite to what I am, which is weird.
I took an online quiz and got the Fool, but that's not available, so I took another one and got the Fool there as well. This went on for a while until finally I just said fuck it and used Attitude from Power Rangers to get the Emperor arcana.
2100CP of drawbacks in Minecraft.
How in the sweet flaming fuq did you survive?
>Gauntlet what is the difference between artificially inducing Fifth Step and natural one?
Nothing all the same requirements though.
>And would Fullbringer benefit from it in any way and how?
To do something like that you'd need to artificially induce the previous four stages (Demi-Hollow [Either as a Earth Bound Spirit (Jibakurei) or as a Possessive Spirit (Tsukirei)] or Hollow, Gillian, Ajudas, Vasto Lorde) in your powers. You'd start in the demi-Hollow state or perhaps even the Hollow state and progress only via artificial means, which I'll leave to you wise Jumpers (Examples Given: Allowing you Fullbring to Eat [Fullbring the powers of] Hollows and spirits in an imitation of the Hollow life cycle.).
See & .
I haven't actually slotted that into my chain yet, so I'm probably going to be placing that a good ways in.
Moon is a terrible Arcana. Read up on what it represents. Plus you know who represents the Arcana social link in the main games. They're all disgusting.
Sho comes across as a shitty Donut Steel like Marie did. He even has his own edgy dark side.
Judgement is an Arcana you can choose only if you take Hidden Depths and even then it's a second persona. What is your main Arcana?
>Sho
>Badass
His alternate personality might be, but his regular one is someone even Adachi finds pathetic. And I'm fairly certain the alternate personality is the BBEG.
Sure.
That's only if you follow Wild Card's bullshit rules to justify making those into perks.
>I haven't actually slotted that into my chain yet
So is anyone working on a zendikar jump? Or any other M:TG jump?
Not familiar with Bleach, do I need to eat souls/hollows to not die if I'm a hollow, and should I feel bad about eating hollows?
If you take the drawback that requires you to survive from 66 million years in the past up until the present day, how hard is it to butterfly away humanity? Is there enough fate in play that we'll be fine unless we stab every hominid we see, or will stepping on a bug screw us over?
Also, this version seems to have the drawbacks cut off.
This seems a little sparse to me. I don't know what else to say, I think it could just use a few more options, even if they're OC.
now I am not the Most knowledgeable About bleach but I know a couple of things from watching a few random episodes and cultural osmosis. The first question is yes and pretty much everyone in bleach uses religion to hurt people, So by my Jumper's standards you are morally obligated to destroy them by any means necessary.
I... don't understand what you are trying to say about Fullbringers. Demi-Hollows is not a necessary step in Hollow evolution... or do you mean Fullbringers are like Demi-Hollows with body
Yes. No clue.
I'm doing Khans of Tarkir. I think Amalur is doing Zendikar. Merchant is doing original Ravnica.
I have multiple chains, in one I ignored the Forgotten Realms rule about not having a Divine Rank also I allowed 3rd party supplements when deciding class and race
So, just how awesome story-wise would a WWE jump with the Wrath of El Santo, Realm of the Dragon, Gauntlet, and Trump This drawbacks all active be?
Personally, I could see something like that being an anime or something.
Ah ok, I bought the art book and was wondering, cool. TY.
You could well butterfly it away (depending on how tightly you define "humanity") or more likely butterfly it to happen later or earlier. I'd recommend not taking that drawback if you don't have luck perks, the more the better.
There's a perk in Penny Dreadful that lets you not accidentally fuck plots.
Once I swindled a demon god, by giving them an offer they wouldn't and couldn't refuse. I put a gun in their hands and all manners of wonderful delights on their plate. Bit by bit their share increased as they worked deeper and deeper into a corner of their own devising. All out of necessity, they repeated as each and every act became more and more extreme. If they didn't, they would end up losing everything they worked so hard for when everything had gone wrong already. For they increasingly lost the ability to see their self and how others saw their own actions. Thus when it all lay in ruins, the plate empty and the magazine spent I offered them one last deal.
Tell me Taylor, what harm is their in letting your friend Jumper have just a little more control over the body, hmm? Your dearest and nearest companion is here for you, and all your desires merely one dark contract away. After all you've signed so many before with the others. I think it's high time you made one with me.
>The first question is yes and pretty much everyone in bleach uses religion to hurt people
Literally what are you talking about? People in Bleach use giant animu swords to hurt people. Religion never factors in.
>Not familiar with Bleach, do I need to eat souls/hollows to not die if I'm a hollow, and should I feel bad about eating hollows?
Until a certain stage of your development yeah. Also they are sentient, though malevolent beings with their own souls so... perhaps.
>If you take the drawback that requires you to survive from 66 million years in the past up until the present day, how hard is it to butterfly away humanity? Is there enough fate in play that we'll be fine unless we stab every hominid we see, or will stepping on a bug screw us over?
That's basically up to the Jumper at that point, the Drawback only acting as a gateway into the writeing done, but I'd put it somewhere along the lines of a Homid dying won't stop anything but an entire branch vanishing before it's time could change everything. There are a few plot protection perks in the Jump itself, you could use those if you feel unsafe.
>Also, this version seems to have the drawbacks cut off.
Nope they're just above the tldr version I have at the back.
>This seems a little sparse to me. I don't know what else to say, I think it could just use a few more options, even if they're OC.
Taking suggestions now.
I was saying it's sort of the later either they are like Demi-Hollows (Whom interact with the environments or other peoples spiritual energy) or they are like Hollows, I personally lean towards the former of those two. Getting your Fullbriing to evolve is going to be a bitch but it might work out for you as you're a Jumper and have both time and energy to work this kind of problem into a corner.
So, I've been watching R.W.B.Y. Volume 1 lately... And I just can't get the appeal.
My conclusion is that the people who like it must have shit taste.
