I know nothing about bitcoin or cryptocurrency. I want in.
What is the best platform to use? Anything to know before I get started on research/decision making?

Go buy some scratch offs with your money, you'll have fewer losses and fewer headaches.
I just finished my third semester of law school at Columbia. I’m not a fucking brainket, I just never had time to pay attention to this crap because I had too much work. Finals are over and now I have time again and this seems like it will be worth the time/money to invest in.
Are you done being a child and ready to give some advice?
>Goes to Columbia
>Am smart
I understand that you’re retarded, but any law school gives you a life-consuming amount of work. Let alone an Ivy.
If anyone would like to start contributing to the discussion, go ahead

if you want to jump straight in and have a very basic interaction with BTC then use something like Coinbase. Otherwise, lurk some more and see what other anons are up to.

Coinbase. Buy coins. Create Binance account. Send coins to binance. Buy XRP
Buy BTC and 4 promising altcoins of your choice.
Maintain a balanced portfolio (20% in each coin). Rebalance about once a week.
Don't move money away from these coins to chase shitcoin pumps.
Take your time to research these, then make your own decisions: ETH BLOCK ADA LINK XMR XLM WTC OMG ARK REQ NEO ZRX FUN VEE
he's right
If you can't do your own research with a world of information at your fingertips, then crypto is probably not for you. Also, you'll probably suck at your profession as well. You have no drive or ambition to learn on your own. It's embarrassing, really.
You’re incorrect if you think making a thread on Veeky Forums is my only avenue of approach here
an old rule of investing is never to put your money into something you don't understand
do some research
The real takeaway here is to do your own research and not try to be spoon-fed or find shortcuts. Not that there aren't helpful people here and elsewhere throughout the crypto space, but listening to others without doing your own due diligence is one of the most common ways to lose money. Collect information from a lot of sources to try to piece together the big picture as best you can. Early on you're going to get excited about a lot of things and want to throw your money at everything - keep a conservative portfolio for at least a few weeks while you get your bearings or else you'll find yourself holding a lot of bags. Good luck.
Point taken. Thanks
Use google you fucking brainlet
I'd recommend against ADA personally, lots questionable info about it.
Best way of acquiring bitcoin is to earn it. No commissions or fees to pay to the exchange or broker.

Too retarded to use google. Go fuck yourself and never come back., faggot.

Don't go to reddit, just go to YouTube. I watched a few hours a day for a week before I got into it and it really helped. Whenever you want to know about a new site you found or something just YouTube it and someone made a video about it
