First for
>expecting Magnus to win

Second for the Omnissiah

I want Magnus to get fucked up but cripple the wolves

t. T-Son

Third for superior Deldar

Fifth for Haemonculi

Seventh for Papa Nurgle

Eleventh for SW corpses

DOGS MUST PAY

I want very little to come of this, but a couple cool fight scenes and pew pews along the way.

GW have demonstrated they're bad at grasping how to portray a setting stories happen in rather than a stupidly oversized story.

Shoot, left my bust on.

>space hulk deathwing in beta
>plays a few games
>no persistent levels throughout multiplayer
>devs said in a QA video that they want MP to be like a moba, so no persistent leveling
fuck off. refunded instantly.

>Expecting a Phil Kelly favorite army to suffer a crippling defeat
It's almost as if you want to suffer

What the fuck is that name for, Busty user.

I dislike persistent leveling, personally.
But what the fuck is the point of leveling in the game then?

15th for the 17th legion.

Papa bless you, OP! I've been searching everywhere for Assassins 2E!

>refunded instantly.
Literally kys.

Also the levelling only drops off at the end of the chapters not each mission. The idea being you don't have to play the same class for the entire game

why not just make it like l4d, with no leveling, if its going to be so fucking pointless? this isn't a competitive pvp shooter, theres no need to have levels go away every mission set. It's pointless, and shows that they've just tacked on coop and don't really care about it at all, if they want to make it 'like a moba'

>good shooting
>good armour save
>good invul save
>good mobility
>tough
>cheap
>ok in combat

What the flying fuck is this thing's weakness suppose to be?

none.
thats the problem

Not playing fluffy

Tarpitting. It's got, what, 2 attacks? Drop a fearless cultist blob on it and forget about it for the rest of the game.

5th edition was a mistake.

7th*

I fucking this answer because you're tactical genius has someone gotten a cultist squad into charge range by the 2nd turn

maledictions

Cause progression feels good. I hope they add a cosmetic progression like in DOW2.

Also they did just tack on co-op. Don't preorder games without knowing what you're getting. The beta was exactly what I as expecting.

I actually preordered because there was a beta, and its at no cost to myself because I already got a refund. they also said there would be no customization of characters outside of weapons because its supposed to be 'narrative driven' even in coop.

and I'm perfectly fine with progression
as long as it doesn't reset every time I close out of the damn game. that makes it pointless because you just have to work it all back up again in the game every time you want a better weapon.

Not that guy, but bikes with psyker support, ignores cover blastmasters for the pathfinders, and conversion beamer rapiers will make a tau player use their brain a bit at least.

Have you ever infiltrated massive cultists blobs with Ahriman? It's fairly entertaining.

>5th
Necrons: "OMG i want my body back!!!"
Blood Angels "Land Raider STEEL REHN"
Space Marines "Ultramarines are the best SM because fuck you"
Tyranids "All tyranids are slaves to hive mind, except Swarmlord of course"
Grey Knights "My name is Kaldor Draigo and now I will beat crap of daemon Primarch because this is how awesome I am.

But it also doesn't work against a thing that moves 12+2d6 inches per turn if it doesn't want to go faster.

Riptide has no weaknesses, that is why it is at the moment the best unit in the game and riptide wing is the best formation in the game.

>I actually preordered because there was a beta
Ah fair enough.

>they also said
Thats why it was a hope.

If its not your cup of the then its just not. Its not a huge triple AAA game. Its got its market and it'll try to nail that, its not gonna be the next L4D. The atmosphere was perfect in my opinion.

Fix netcode plz

40k*

>riptide wing is the best formation in the game.
Corpsethief may disagree

>But it also doesn't work against a thing that moves 12+2d6 inches per turn if it doesn't want to go faster.
Riptides don't move 12".

>Blood Angels "Land Raider STEEL REHN"

God that was fucking stupid. People will defend it.

I'd still take all of that over the garbage that is 40k right now.

>good shooting

It shoots like a Leman Russ with Gets Hot but costs a significant chunk more points. Otherwise known as it shoots like shit without a significant number of Markerlights backing it up.

>good invuln save

2/3 of the time, yeah, assuming they don't want to use any of the other abilities.

>cheap

Hardly, that thing is like 200pts. I'll fight a lone Riptide over 200pts of Crisis Suits or Broadsides any day.

Also it's one of the only MCs in the game that doesn't have Fearless. Stack morale modifiers, charge it with something tough that can win combat by a point or two, shoot it with Psychic Shriek, whatever. I've seen Riptides run off the board when their Missile Drones so often that nobody I know brings the Drones any more.

>implying no one would take that over
>eldars D and wraithguard is balanced and flu
>muh tau super shooting
>GRAV CANNONS!!!
>LoL get trough my 2++ re rolleable save
>turn one assaults and summoning units with upgrades shenanigans
>orkz in general
>(add unending CSM complain)

>Complaining about land raiders
How can you even function?

He didn't say it was good, he said it was stupid.

So is there anyway to make the game have less AP2 weapons without gutting entire races?

Pretty much both of these. Riptides hit hard (I've seen one wipe out a squad of Meganobz) but they don't hit often. A good tarpit can simply remove them play since Tau don't have a way to break them out.

The other thing is that Riptides (and most Tau, really) are weak to psychic powers. Outside of one piece of Farsight wargear, they have nothing to Deny the Witch with. Psychic Shriek can tear them apart with even just an average roll. Haven't seen it happen, but on paper Enfeeble and some decent shooting would wreck them too.

There is literally nothing wrong with turn one assaults. The only broken aspect of it is shit like SM deep-strike-after-charging-guaranteed-first-turn

I like the idea of thunderhawks dropping vehicles in the middle of a combat zone, it should be a standard option for all marine flavours, including spiky.

you can terrify riptides off the board if they're camping hard enough

and enfeebling riptides before baptizing them with S10 for that sweet instant death is the best feeling you will ever have playing 40k

5th was complete fucking garbage.

Any infantry outside of a transport? Dead.
Get charged by anything wielding a power weapon? Dead.
Play anything but Loyalist Space Marines? Dead.

The worst edition, by far.

im bored of all these T.sons leaks, wheres my imperial agent leaks at my boys? im ready to purge some heretics

(You)

Veeky Forums what do you miss from older editions?
I miss fourth edition no TLoS, it can become rather annoying all this TLoS discussions if you can or can't see your opponent models.

If you want to do that just use Thunderhawk Transporter you can drop 1 land raider or 2 smaller vehicles(predator, rhino)

Thanks, senpai.

Wasn't actually trolling though. I like footslogging armies, which were a dumpster fire in 5th, and the most competitive armies were all SM. Remember how everyone and their dog played Space Wolves, Grey Knights or Blood Angels? Remember how Necrons and DEldar were both stuck with dexes two full editions old?

If I preorder these fucking exalted sorcerer's tomorrow and they're HQ I'm going to cry

And if they land on a gretchin then they're fucked because that makes sense...

The hell you're talking about? The fact that orkz had competitive build back then proves you wrong, back then you could foot slog, vehicle rush, etc. And it was fine, muhriness weren't even top armies back then, those were necrons with the punch yourself relic and other gimmicks, even then you had a chance to BTFO necrons even with orkz, MOTHERFUCKING ORKZ.

I remember shit like green tide doing pretty well back then. I did decently with some nids.

I don't know. Maybe I had less waccfags. I dislike 7th ed for the absurdity that formations allow.

Wait till rules are released or suffer the consequences.

I would if I could but, for that thunderhawk price I would rather start a new army.

>The fact that orkz had competitive build back then
>even then you had a chance to BTFO necrons even with orkz

Ahahah no they fucking didn't. They had a single build that wasn't winning fuck all because their dex was an edition old.

The gretchin were bombs user, forge the narrative.

No Thunderhawk, no dropping vehicles from Thunderhawk.

i miss whatever edition didnt have you need a rulebook, codex, extra online data sheets, suppliment rule books etc. just make me need a rule book and codex please

Tanks can be air dropped today.

Except errata is a good thing, it fixes bad editing. But I get what ur saying.

Just buy a tablet. Can get the 7" amazon one for 30 bucks today. Means you can even just pirate everything.

You think they won't be hq? Of course they're hq.

i dont understand why the formations are so unequal. Like the early ones were broken as fuck. But then as we got later and later in 7th they started releasing worse and worse formations.

damn thanks for the tip man, i always thought tablets were hundred of bucks. guess i dont care how many different rule books they put out now

Does a squad of 10 Pathfinders have 10 Markerlights?

GW always has a tendency to slowly make more and more powerful stuff, then make something practically broken and then suddenly tone down everything until the change of the edition when the cycle starts anew.

They new that gladius was too good, so every single decurion since then has been considerably weaker, all the way to GC which is the first really good one to come out since the space marine codex.

Yup, just get one of the Amazon tablets and you can sideload the Google Play store onto it (which takes literally 5-10 minutes and involves just downloading one folder and running a program, it does it automatically).

Then just get any epub reader app on it, and job's a good one, you can have every codex, supplement, data sheet and formation for free and in one convienient place.

I bought one of those tablets specifically for just that. Considering it costs only slightly more than a single codex.

Yes, markerlights are standard kit on Pathfinders, integrated onto their carbines.

A box of three? Feels a bit weird for a HQ.

See but then you get the fact that GW says they dont care about rules and they are a model company. but you can sorta tell they make rules to sell higher costing models.

Probably a HQ squad. Like 1 unit of them are the three models.

That's pretty sick. 36" markers is fairly beefy.

This.

Fuck off imperials, you get the attention the vast majority of the time

...

tarpitting, psychic phase and monofiliment

I wouldn't be surprised if there isn't much new in Imperial Agents. A lot of it is probably the online stuff appearing in print for the first time.

No Imperials, no 40K. Deal with it.

yea riptides suck, cant do anything to STACKING MORALE MODIFIERS/PSYCHIC SHRIEK
Cause 3++ invul with fnp LITERALLY UNPLAYABLE

I don't believe a word of any of these leaks, but I hate that fact that I'm going to be preordering this tomorrow for my shop's small business Saturday deal without knowing anything about it. Especially if Traitor Legion will have the same rules minus the daemons and Magnus

Got a question folks
You think there will be any european store that will have 1ks termies/tacs/whatever for preorder at non-gw prices AND black friday sales in europe. Like wayland games?
Or are they not allowed to have pre orders of gw stuff?

Never said otherwise, i just welcome you to go sodomize your self with a chainsaw, and let others have a go at getting nice updates

>Can't survive a 6 on D chart
What's the point?

Take this shit with a grain of salt, couldn't give anything other than his name

So I wanted to try out mechanized cult, but I'm having trouble leaving behind the mass cult swarm.

Is the beefy Subterranean Uprising too cheesy? Or would this be a somewhat fun army to play against?

riptides should have d-protection, it's stupid everyone gets the D except tau NOT FAIR

Those facebook posts were cancerous.

Pls no b8

>mixed guard cult and mining cult
This bothers me

>everyone
>implying CSM have D

Do IG have D?
I think the nuke is only S10

can someone explain to me what Detachments/Formations are, when i played they wasnt a thing, last played 10+ years ago

No non-forge world, not counting santic.
