No. Usually I spend my time walking away from dumpster fires.

A couple of times, although it's always been pretty mutual. If I call someone on their bullshit and the response is to turn on me rather than dealing with the actual problem, they're probably not worth playing with.

Sure, several times. Some of them were completely my fault, some weren't. It happens. I don't have high expectations from online game groups I find on Veeky Forums.

Yeah, the GM was a stein supporter and got pissy when he commented on my pro-trump facebook posts. So, I kindly reminded him that Stein has so little support that she couldn't even win one state. He kicked me the next day, said I was "too mean" for the group. He must have been at least 40.

The dude to the left is going to Keijo the fuck out of the dude to the right.

Nah. But I did ditch quite a few that were boring or offensively stupid.

I may be writing a set of rules for Keijo in Legends of the Wulin. I'll probably post them on Veeky Forums when I've fully fleshed them out.

Get back to /pol/, you scum.

I had a a group just not tell me when the next game was and not respond to any texts when I asked what was going on. Took the hint pretty fast but that one was kinda pathetic since they didn't really hide the fact that they were still playing. Christ, at least treat me with SOME respect, all I did was play kinda shitty, not like I took a dump on the table or something.

I'll try to green text it

>Me and my friend are new to roleplay and decide to try it out
>go to local gaming store where they play one
>met the GM and joined the Pathfinder game
>Went to the first session and it went okay but my friend and I didn't do much
>Go to the second session
>The GM decides to make us fight his minmaxing(that guy) friend who was several levels higher then us
>We die
>Talk to the GM afterwards and ask him why he killed us off
>We were "doing "his story wrong"
>Mfw

No. That's just the reason I got kicked from the group. I'm sorry your so triggered by this post with an anime wolf girl

Been in the same group for 3 or 4 years now and we've never had to kick someone. Mostly due to the small size of 4 people and all of us being friends for years prior.

Yes, but the game is run by a librarian and open only to middle and high schoolers.
So every person who had joined before me and, at this point, most of the people who joined after me have also been kicked from the group for being too... graduated.

Once.

A guy I knew was looking to get a 2nd Ed AD&D game off the ground, and was looking for players. I volunteered and told him about an acquaintance of mine, who I'll call Bob the Bouncer, who I knew through the SCA (inb4 'hurr durr fake knights') who I knew would be down. I introduced Bob the Bouncer to the DM, they hit it off pretty well, we had a game going. Things went pretty well for about a month and a had.

Then one weekend the game is cancelled. Apparently the DM's son had wound up in jail after he couldn't hold his liquor and made a scene at a bar. Wound up getting his shit slapped and hauled away by the cops, the DM had to cancel the game as he and his wife figured out how they were going to deal with bail bonding, lawyer fees, and medical bills.

So I call my pal Bob the Bouncer to tell him why game night was cancelled, and he goes "Oh shit. This was last night? I think that was my bar. I think I shut down the DM's kid."

You see, I call him Bob the Bouncer because he is a bouncer by trade. He hits people on both a recreational and professional basis, and he's really not the guy you want to fuck with. He's not a bad guy by any means, his number one priority is deescalating bad situations, but if you insist a conflict must have a violent resolution he will resolve it.

So anyway, our DM's kid had made an ass of himself in Bob's bar and refused to see reason and leave of his own accord. Bob had never met the lad, he was always out of the house on game night, didn't know him from Adam. Maybe if they were acquainted or if he had at least recognized him from a photo, he could have leveraged that into a peaceful "Hey man, I'm a friend of your dad's, I don't wanna hassle you over these douchebags pissing you off; how about you take one for the road and roll out?" solution. Instead, the boy threatened Bob and shattered a bottle to use as a weapon.

youtube.com/watch?v=GkMKYotY4MA

Never. We've also never had to remove someone, though once some guy screwed another guy's girlfriend and ended up leaving on his own to avoid seeing him.

So Bob the Bouncer, as he was both legally indemnified to and obligated by professional ethics to do, demonstrated why he his not the person you want to fuck with, Held a very brief Krav Maga seminar on the spot, bruised the kid pretty bad, gave him a concussion, and incidentally left him with some lacerations on his palm when Bob maybe kinda accidentally but not really crushed his fist around the broken bottle hard enough the stem shattered.

So that was a problem.

What made it worse was the ensuing legal proceedings. Bob had to testify that the kid was acting the fool and was in wrong, because some bad shit went down and if the bar owner didn't press charges and if Bob didn't tell the whole tale. both of them were liable for all sorts of damages and their respective careers were basically done. This led to a lot of additional burdens one our DM's family, and he booted both Bob and I from the game, Bob for beating his son's ass and helping leave him with a criminal record, me for introducing the two. Which really wouldn't have had any effect on how that story eventually played out, but it was an emotional decision, and I can't really fault him because every game night would have been all kind of awkward.

So that's the one time I got kicked from a group. Damn shame, the campaign was going great til that point.

Sorta?

> Mid-90's. Me and BroDM go to older dude's house to play.
> This guy is cringe-mountain. Total trench coat anarchist with the shitty round colored glasses.
> He has a special homebrew - random roll for everything.
> I end up being a Troll Paladin, Bro is a Gnoll Rogue.
> Piss him off early by pointing out that gold is not "the strongest metal" as he suggests.
> Proceeds to use every opportunity to fuck with me and try to kill me.
> Only lets me loot a tutu from a massive battle we pass by.
> Gets pissed when I fumbleluck through fighting a couple displacer beasts that are just like... on the road attacking folks.
> Finally says fuck it, has some children rip boards off a boat and nail-bat me with in the heart.
> Refuses to explain how or why.

I'd of preferred if he'd just said "I don't like you" and saved me three hours.

So all you did was support a candidate on your facebook, or did you bring up your political views in-game?

Former is stupid and that guy is a faggot for kicking you, but if it's the latter and you were disrupting gameplay by doing it, that's pretty douchey on your part. Half of my friends are hardcore Bernie-bots who think Trump is literally Hitler and we get along just fine because we don't bring up OOC discussions in-game.

Nah, I think I made, like, one or two wall jokes, but other than that I felt it out of the game.

Sounds like you were that guy

If that's true, then the guy was a faggot. Next time just don't tell the group which candidate you support until you're sure they won't freak out.

*left it out of the game

No, but I've kicked fuck tons of people out of games.

Seriously. How many people over the years?

50 or more? 70?

Those are the perils of public recruitment I guess. Finding players so fuckin' bad you kick them out, I mean.

Hi to all the banned players out there!

Hi dad.

Just once. I was playing a paladin and the lol randumb rouge murdered some hobo who might have had information leading to the guy we were tracking down.

After the man said he didn't know anything the rouge rolled sense motive to see if he was lying, he was but his character didn't say anything and killed him on the spot.

I looked at him across the table and asked him if he was really going to kill this street urchin. He laughed it off and said yes and i asked him again, to which he stabbed the dude. Immediately smited evil and it caused a ruckus.

DM was buds with the rogue and he told me to leave.

Thrice, Once when iw as 15 and Just couldn't wake up arly enough to get to the game

Second time was when I was 17, I didn't get along with the gm, she literally had a friend of hers pick our starting gear based on what we said we wanted to play.

Third time the GM was literally autistic and though I would "Threaten his railroad" actual words used by his long time friend who told me why the gm booted me after brought it up with him.

Oh and a 4th time with some guys that got a lot of shit in a game finder thread because they were hypocrites. Booted several possibly players because we were apparently "being autistic"despite the gm and hi friends already in the group acting in mostly the same way.

Oh yea and one more group from when I was 18, Gm didn't like that the girl he had eyes for took a liking to me. This group was cancer, like think Sanders (the guy that apparently half of tg knows as being terrible and who shits on him during every game finder he posts in) but make him more crass and a literal pedophile, that was the leader of said group. long story short I introduced a friend in said group to a girl who was 17, she bought her friend who I though was 16, she was 12. I didn't find out for a while because I avoided her when we weren't in a game She liked me because She didn't know how much of a dick I was because i avoided her and she only saw me when I was acting nice for the sake of being nice to my friend's Girlfriend's(now ex-girlfriend) best friend. Travis being the filthy fuck he is flirts with the girl, I don't care because I'm not aware of how young she is, She comes to me for help because she's bad at telling people off. I tell her to just tell him to stop and if he doesn't she should block him on skype so he can't bug her. She does so Travis throws a hissy fit and ousts me from the group. Which honestly it was gonna happen anyways, the only guy from said group i got along with is one of my current best friends, Part 1 of 2 maybe 3

Part 2

I hated everyone else in said group but this was before I discovered Veeky Forums or roll20 so beggars couldn't be choosers I was with those fuckers for 3 years.till then. Right before I'm officially kicked out and they change the team speak password and remove me from Skype I find out the one girl is 12 and I immediately tell her to get the hell away from me. She 's too god damned young for me and I'm sure as shit not risking anything despite the fact she had the body of a 16 year old girl. I'm probably already on a government watch list thanks to my father's internet history. (another story for another time is that that idiot went to some sites that caused the redneck half uniformed swat teams of West Virginia to bust down the door) I tell her to fuck off, because I want her as far away from em as possible because I ain't goin to jail because of her. Then before I can even talk with anyone from the group I'm told about my removal via my best friend and that the straw that broke the camel's back was most likely the fact that the girl in question liked me and it pissed Travis right the fuck off. I still find it funny that that's what did it given that Travis had no Idea I encouraged her to tell him off. SO i got kicked because he thought I was stealing his waifu. In all honesty though given how cancerous the group was and my own immaturity at the time I probably would've gotten kicked out within a month anyways. So yea that's the story of how I got kicked from my very first gaming group, I didn't list them at first seeing as how they mostly did crappy home brews and no real systems. Like naruto fucking garbage with some engender swapped characters, and an alternate universe Girl und panzer game(boys could also into tonk) in which I got my arms ripped off and replaced with mechanical arms, and then died to a shark because a psycho from a corrupt criminal family threw me overboard for calling out her shit . That cancerous game is it's own story.

No
Because wasn't even in one

>letting political opinions affect your real life

and this is why representative democracy is 100% worse than having actual technocrats in charge

Got kicked from a Shadowrun game in session 0 because I rolled a Sinner Decker and wanted a shotgun license attached to my SIN so I could own a shotgun strictly for home defense (it was only for if gangers came to my house and wasn't going to be used on runs at all). The GM turned out to be incredibly anti-gun and specifically said that in canon only the police, corp security teams and criminals owned guns and no private citizen owned them legally unless they belonged to a sec team or lonestar or something. I pointed to numerous manufacturers in the books selling specifically to the home defense market.

I brought it up in a shadowrun thread on here and on the shadowrun subreddit and everyone seemed to agree with me that shadowrun is a crazy dystopian hell hole because literally everyone and their roomba is armed and not because only those in power have guns. Also I was told by a moderator of /r/runnerhub that the guy had been banned from /r/runnerhub for being an insufferable asshole so I apparently dodged a bullet.

I agree with you politically, but the guy didn't do anything wrong. No need to be so harsh, man.

Steve Rogers ironically is a horrible person to do your political strawmanning for you. He is straight up deplorable.

Fuck. That sucks. I mean, the kid was a moron and got his just desserts, so I can see it from Bob's perspective. He can't open himself up to being sued either. Then also, I mean, I would have learned my lesson pretty bloody quick, but this kid has this shit hanging around him from the rest of his life.

I should have kicked a player, or bowed out 6 sessions ago when he started. God, I just hate that fucker. I don't want to talk to him, I don't want to resolve anything, I just never want to see his face again.

I've got no interest in gaming at all. I want to tie up my game as soon as possible and call it quits and never see the group again. That's how much I hate this completely useless person.

YOU'RE A QUIVERING NECKBEARD

Why the fuck would you DM Shadowrun if you're that against guns?

No, but I kicked my DM out of our group.

Heil Hydra

No, but there's two players I should really talk to.

One barely participates and I don't think he's said anything beyond a couple one liners in the past few sessions.

One refuses to remember the rules, but at least he's engaging in the RP decently.

No, but I did nuke one by accident once because the other players were too beta to tell me that they didn't like the direction I was trying to steer the game in. They wanted to be murderhobos, I wanted our party to have some presence on the world stage, they flipped out about it and killed the game.

Yeah I got caught taking creepshots of the DMs 14 year old daughter who was also in the game. He banned me from bis house. I get him back by jacking off to pictures of his ex wife side by side with porn at least twice a week. She was in the game, too, playing a half elf druid.

>She liked me because She didn't know how much of a dick I was because i avoided her and she only saw me when I was acting nice for the sake of being nice to my friend's Girlfriend's(now ex-girlfriend) best friend

...

I once played with an established group who were basically a fanclub for a particular series. The endless fanwanking circle jerk, with the other players (GM's friends) getting major preferential treatment was unbearable. So after another session of discussions about what certain elements should be to reflect the series they loved and getting all my actions GM veto'd to uselessness I walked away.

I've never been kicked out, but someone did blacklist me from joining a game she was in. She got pissed off when I quit a game she was running, told the GM of the game she was playing in that I wasn't allowed to join, and he went along with it.

Creepy

I had a few too many to drink and it was getting late. The DM set up the cliffhanger and I cut her off shouting "Behold, gentlemen! The final encounter"

Then I stood up, whipped out my schlong and lay it right there on the table.

This is what happens when you swallow the bluepill too hard

Kicked a guy once, found out he read ahead on the AP. Good friend, no hard feelings.

I've done this once before in a short campaign based similarly off the 2010 film "Bunraku". A world where WW3 lead to every state, country and political leader to universally agree to destroy all modern weaponry and heavily outlaw and criminlize guns. A few decades later the project is successful, there are no guns but there is still murder, it's just now people are back to using swords, knives and axes to kill. The only mention of guns is during a high stakes poker game where the dealer asks what he will be betting with, cash, diamonds or in a hushed whisper, bullets.

Campaign basically involved them getting involved with a crimelord and in traditional shadowrun manners, were sent to hijack a smuggling ring and the package turned out to be a box of .45 bullets.

And then they laughed and declared it to have +8 to its armor class.

Post some of the creep shots for proof faggot, if you've got them of his wife you clearly have the others.

I nearly did from a Roll20 group. Upon hearing that one of the players is fat I started telling fat jokes.

I don't understand if that term has additional connotations aside from the literal meaning.

At least

I have not been directly kicked out, but have once been pointedly not informed of when sessions were taking place in the future.

I once kicked out two new guys for making too many Veeky Forums memes. It was really dumb shit too, like every time the word troll was mentioned they'd look at eachother and loudly proclaim "Trollface! :D".

I one got kicked out after 6 months of biweekly gaming because I started to hook up with the DMs best frend/stalker victim. She wasn't even in our group at the time. Later she told me that she prefers to keep her relationships semi-secret from him since he can't handle her being with guys and it keeps him up at night or something.

Technically Once
Well you see i was kicked out of the game as it was ending ending as in the group self destructed and the dm's *yes more then one* could not take it

ill try to give the easy run down but it was a massive shit show so here we go

Session 0
people are late but eventually everybody gets there
me being more experienced with d&d 5e then aparently any of the dm's and co dm's i helped make 3-4 of the characters not including my own

we had 8 people Heres a brief run down
Me Drow-Warlock *early on in my edge faze of d&d since over that now*
human-fighter Was a really cool dude role played often and good backstory
Gnome-Cleric Life cleric only lawfully anything out of all of us
Halfling-Rogue Left after first session Probably saw the shit storm
Drow-Wizard OH god i need a fucking longer area to describe this but this guy was playing a socoipathic magic hungry greedy faggot of a character he literally had a character trait where he would when around magic items just start trying to kill you if you kept them this led to problems later on
and thats all of the-
oh did i forget the most interesting of the cast?

sorry let me put those

INTRODUCING
The LIZARD WOMEN MONK COMPLETE WITH ACTUALLY *AND IM NOT JOKING HE MADE THIS INTENTIONALLY* 3 COCKS AND IS PREGNANT

AND THE HOMEBREWD DEMON-KIN CLASS, i have literaly no idea what this was the players never got to saw it and apparently he made it himself
he had like d12 hit die but also warlock spells? really confusing

Surprisingly it took more then 17 sessions for these guys to implode on themselves and i stayed around for all of it

Anybody want more?

Most people who have been kicked in this thread deserved it and are bad people, but your DM sounds dangerously mentally unstable.

>DM is in love with her, but she doesn't love him back, yet she still values his friendship to some degree
>Makes him uncomfortable hearing user brag about how he banged her every session
>Kicks him out.

What's not to understand?

I was banned from an lgs once because I got one of the other customers girlfriends to send me a picture of her tits

Story?

I once watched a whole group get kicked out from the inside.

Basically we got together and there was about 8 at us towards the start and we went -strong- for a long time. However a few of the guys, including me for a period, just got super fucking baked during the sessions and we started to lose members for very weak reasons. Eventually it just ended up being me and the other stoners and i noticed in about 4 hours of games night we'd only do like, 10 minutes of the actual game itself.

Eventually i stopped smoking and i realized how cancerous the other 3 guys were and i too left.

They still get together to play "games night" and they're basically each others only friends and they don't even do anything, they just sit in the same room smoking but not really communicating with each other.

Yeah.
It was in a kind way, and we're all still friends but I think I stole the spotlight too much

BEEP BOOP BEEP VRRRRRRRR
He's right you know.

>if I call the people I disagree with Nazis then they are in the wrong

Nice bait though, it got some U's.

>Troll Paladin
Suddenly I really want to play this.
Thanks Satan.

>The LIZARD WOMEN MONK COMPLETE WITH ACTUALLY *AND IM NOT JOKING HE MADE THIS INTENTIONALLY* 3 COCKS AND IS PREGNANT
when some faggot plays his CoC/Nimin character

I don't play tabletop with strangers.

Tell me more, I want to hear what I'm imagining happened confirmed

Sorta kicked, sorta mutual.

>Get invited to group in my town
>People at my FLGS warn me against GM as he's an ass, but I'm desperate to game so I go
>Not that good a GM, but at least I'm gaming
>Have to go on hiatus for a few sessions due to work/holidays/other commitments etc
>During that time, EU referendum happens (britbong here)
>GM reveals himself to be a massive right-winger, posts propaganda and shit all over his Facebook, openly mocks everyone and everything that doesn't share his views
>Make a post after the referendum saying how ashamed I am of my country and that xenophobia is on the rise
>GM fucking loses his shit
>Him posting shit about the left is okay, me posting shit about the right is a crime against humanity
>Get unfriended, blocked, and never invited again

I was planning on dropping out because he was a dick and I wasn't enjoying the game anyway, but jeez the childishness and arrogance. I should have listened to my FLGS.

I'm sure this couldn't end horribly but I'm down for a story.

Are you STILL mad about us getting our freedom!?

Fuck off Canadian.

Not so much kicked out, but I was once disallowed from joining an Exalted game after I'd already been told I could play and had already made a character for.

This was back when I was in AIT. I showed up to the place we were playing and the GM said 'Yeah, you're not playing' because another guy in the group said he didn't like me and said he wouldn't play if I was playing, and the GM chose him over me.

He was a real shithead about it, and some other guys I was kinda pals with took pity on me and let me join their zombie game. That was kinda fun.

>Make a post after the referendum saying how ashamed I am of my country and that xenophobia is on the rise

I never got kicked but if someone needs kicking my group asks me to do it

People like that don't like to be reminded that they were conned. It's the same reason you see so many trump posters here, they have to shout about it as loud as they can lest people think they have buyer's remorse

>Regretting either
Keep telling yourself that. Maybe the sting will lessen one day.

You're right, regret requires that you have the cognitive ability to recognize that you've made a mistake. Something both groups clearly lack.

Stay mad and uninformed.

Right back at you

I think it's always been more or less mutual. Don't recall getting kicked from anything when I wanted to be there and was enjoying myself.

Got kicked from a shitty online group because they sprang a game without warning me. I was super sick at the time, not at all prepared, and the GM decided to gimp my character majorly with no advance warning. I had to quit a little way in because of said sickness and got kicked from the Skype group for it, but I was already looking for a way out due to the GM being shit so I didn't really care.

Caused a group fragment once by calling the primary GM on being a cancerous sadist. Half the group were with me, half were with him, although the whole thing was a long time coming because there was major resentment toward the guy from plenty of the group. Was in retrospect a pretty dumb teen drama.

Aaaaaand a girl kicked me from an RP I had no intention of playing in anyway after I kicked her out of mine for having a fit over losing a mock fight with no stakes. She has some kind of brain problem I think, and while I'm sympathetic, I had no intention of burdening people with her.

A few times, some people just can't take the banter.

>Pathfinder game, already started
>People seem OK, GM is a bit iffy as he decides some things based on speed of player's reaction/typing speed/who moved his token first/last.
>A few sessions later, we're discussing vidya in OOC when GM mentions that he plays LoL
>I mention how I play Dota and consider it better since it doesn't try to steal my hard earned dineros
>Bad move, Dota triggers GM for reasons I dont remember
>We argue for half an hour, GM spits out some edgy one liner and boots me from group chat.

Sometimes it seems that the best way to stay in a group is to not interact with them except for times of pressing need.

>Dotards and lolcows arguing
Jesus Christ I can't imagine how awful a sight that must have been for the other players.

>Running a game
>Get four new players
>End up describing character archtypes as the different roles in LoL, since they all play that
>Everythingwentbetterthenexpected.jpg

I always did prefer THAC0 myself, good on you

I'm really trying to remember specifics, but I was actually kicked from two groups in highschool, because everyone involved (myself included) was a bunch of immature shits.

After that, I've been kicked from two or three online groups and one paper group, although the paper group one was mostly because I had a crazy work schedule and couldn't make sessions anymore.

Of the online groups, one was just a bad fit between my and their playstyles, another was more time conflicts mixed with me being unable to actually bring myself to put effort in the times I was there, and the last one was...................... well.

Okay, so the system was either 3.5 or PF, it was a while ago, and this all went down about six or seven sessions in. Group consisted of me playing a crippled wizard, a dumbfuck who thought his gargoyle monk was an actual powergamer build, a woman playing a rogue, and a girl playing some variant cleric I can't remember well. GM was someone I kinda knew, and thought was generally decent. First few sessions go fine, and I start to really look forward to the next one when the GM cancels. Next week, we meet again and either before or after the game I ask the GM what was up and he said he and his GF broke up. I expressed my condolences and we went on with the game as usual, but it became fairly clear a session or two later that the GM was aggressively hitting on the two female players, one of whom was married and the other was probably no more than 17 and horribly shy. After about a week of this, I try to talk to the GM about how his behavior is making me uncomfortable and the girls actively upset, and he kicks me.

About a week later, I hear from the rogue that she and the cleric both left. I think the next game I played in was with both of them and the rogue's husband, and I remember it being pretty fun.

Yes, I was once, before even game started. To be honest, I still don't understand why. Maybe because everyone wanted to play mostly social game, and I just wanted to crush skulls and collect treasure. I mean, that's the fucking DnD.

When I was about 14 my CN barbarian showing the slightest interest in being paid for risking his life to clear out dangerous monsters from some rando's tower had one of the other members of my party declare me as evil and disinvited, IC and OOC, from the group.

Not necessarily THAC0. in 3.5 a fine size category creature would get +8 AC too.

>le laughing stock second world country acting smug

moar

Dont know if oficially kicked, just that we didnt continue playing or they just didnt invite me again

I got kicked out of a group because I told the GM that I was anxious about making a PC that would fit with the current party composition, which he decided to interpret as my fun being "different from the group's fun". Pretty fucking salty about it since I've played with the guy for three years and he apparently thought kicking me out was more important than helping me out and talking over what a suitable PC for the party would be.

I just want you to know that this story is pretty good and made me audibly kek.

See, if it was something like that I'd be fine with it. It was that he was using canon Shadowrun but basically saying unless you worked for some kind of sec team or were a criminal you couldn't be carrying.
