Why is it I never see this mentioned here...

Why is it I never see this mentioned here? I was thinking about getting into it because I really like the sound of the setting and the look of the models, but the fact that I do not think I have seen a single thread on here about it concerns me.

I'm starting to see why I have never seen anyone post about it...

ADHD devs so there isn't really any point to invest money to it.

Yeah, I definitely could see that. Heck, they wanted to introduce a 6mm version of the game last month, but so many people complained to them that they finally did a Kickstarter expanding the core game.

>I buy models for the associated rules, not because I enjoy the sculpt

*15 mm.

I think he means the fact that they weren't exactly releasing models at a breakneck pace due to shifting focus between their various games, like the new Halo one.

Lots of infinity players do.
They look at the ass of their models to forgive the mostly awful design.

There's a small following that hang out in the /awg/ thread (alternate wargames general).
But pretty much lots of complaints about the devs, yeah.

Yeah there's a couple of us in /awg/ , because DW can't really support its own threads.

Mostly it's just talking shit from the sidelines while Spartan dribbles out renders of their latest Kickstarter models which were hilariously rushed because they panicked when it turned out that yet another sodding game was not what people wanted.

Gee, I can't wait for ANOTHER ROBOT SQUID

And just fuck me up senpai, I fucking LOVE speerschluders on my German ships

I really can't believe Spartan launched that KS the way they did.

>mostly awful design.
GW pls, your herois scale looks ugly in 2016

Someone can explain me what's wrong with Spartan games now? I just found the game a couple of days ago and I'm kinda interested to pay for some kits but I little to no idea in what I'm getting int. the gameplay is similar to which other game?

Spartan just seems to be comically inept- such as being totally off guard that their existing players wanted them to support an existing game instead of trying to launch yet another new game. They just seem to be unable to pay attention to a product for more than a few seconds. It's already happened with their second newest game, Halo Fleet Battles, where it hasn't had a release in over six months and has nothing planned until next year.

I'm a fan of DW, but I honestly can't feel good about encouraging anyone to play it, just because I don't want to get them in on the disappointment that is Spartan.

The game itself plays like any other Spartan game- dice pools and exploding dice ahoy.

Is it just me, or do they have some sort of aversion to writing fluff? I mean, Dystopian Wars came out 6 years ago and we still not don't that much about the changes in the timeline.

well, that's a shame. i would have liked to get into DW or Dystopian Legions but since you say that they don't give much support for their games that's a great minus for me. also thisso there it goes the chance to see my country getting into the fluff of the game even as a secondary nation or something like that.

A few years ago, Veeky Forums really, really liked Spartan and their products.
Suffice to say that they killed any enthusiasm we had.

What country are you interested in? Apparently for the Kickstarter if they get 80 thousand pounds they will have a vote where the backers decide what is the next nation to get models, and you will be able to buy said models during the Kickstarter.

I'm interested in Chili since is the first time I see my country getting even a tiny/insignificant mention in anything other than a damage report after a natural disaster.

Oof, yeah that definitely is not getting any sort of expansion any time soon, as there are a number of countries ahead of it like Spain, Greece, Egypt, and Socialist Brazil.

>Spain and Hueland
goddammit.
