>What art are you using for your character, /pfg/?
This is what I'm currently using for Casimir Aldori, however I'm still kinda shaky on using it! The three in this imgur album are ones I'm thinking of replacing it with.
Not a character per say, but I like the idea of a tiefling summoner who's summon is an old friend, sibling or lover.
I can get behind that.
Mason Gray
And here's one of her stalwart battle brothers, Tyron Cormac!

Reminder that ToB is ToBlerone.

>tfw you ask some DM friends to give input on a homebrewed mechanic you're working on >Their only response is saying its power creep bullshit and a perfect example of why they ban all 3PP and homebrew, no questions asked Fuck this shit.
Grayson Gonzalez
>What art are you using for your character, /pfg/? It was pretty difficult trying to find a picture of a Druid that wasn't a chick or wasn't casting some sort of dank nature spell.
Ended up finding one hanging with a tiger, though my druid's animal companion is a leopard.

Alright, Veeky Forums, so fun-loving single woman, in her late thirties/early 40s. Zealot|Aberrant Aegis. Loves, absolute LOVES cooking sweets, pies, and cakes for children; takes the safety of children VERY seriously. Is single due to her 'issues' (notably, that she is able to be a horrible mutated monstrosity very easily), so has never decided to settle down with anyone, preferring the idea of helping other people find people to settle down with, since she herself is not, in her mind, prime marriage material even in her prime.
Natural attacks build, ROTJR rules. Gonan swap out one of Zealot's things for Chimera Soul; otherwise, any character advice for build or backstory or character? There is some good arguements for making her an Urgathoan, Shelynite, or Erastilian; since she is not a divine spellcaster her alignment does not have to be within one and I do not plan on taking divine obedience (since Urgathoa's is useless for a non-necromancer).
Kevin Watson
>art It's bad of me and for my wallet, but I tend to get commissioned artwork of my characters. Especially fun or long games will see a progression piece as the character grows.
Austin Cox
Hm... dunno if I should put the uh, 'armored' picture or the unarmored one...
Either will be deathly obvious to the rest of the party who posted that though.
Easton Sanchez
It got grocery-shrink-ray'd recently you know...
Fail semitriangles are fail...
Parker Fisher
Is that Wylfred from Valkryie Profile Covenant of the Plume.
I KNEW I saw that art from somewhere before!
Cooper Foster
A part from Magical Knack, is there anything similar to Practiced Spellcaster in PF?
Ian Ortiz
Found one for you >inb4 "that's a girl" Not if you say otherwise.
Jordan Robinson
What race senpai?
Juan Jones
I've always wanted to get my Mage from WoW (been playing her for 12 years now) and my long-running Inquisitor done.
Problem is finding a good artist with an art style I'd like to see them in.
Luke White
The new book of divine prestige classes is going to have a feat you can take three times that adds to your caster level. It has a single prereq feat, meaning for 4 feats you can cover 3 lost caster levels/spells known.
Connor Brooks
I've got a bear one for you, I guess. Maybe you'll get some use out of it sometime.
Caleb Peterson
We need some more knight girls. Show us that armor!
Sebastian Williams
I know this is Veeky Forums(though I honestly thought Veeky Forums didn't have the same obsession with crossdreswing as /v/, /b/ and others), but homey don't play like that. Thanks though.
Parker Gomez
Also remove folks who label power creep as fun.
Robert Evans
Not sure yet! Currently working with human, but up for other ideas.
Gabriel Sanchez
Thank you friendo.
Connor Wood
Here's something that /might/ be a druid
Chase Price
Want my advice? Make her a woman that suffered an accident while young that caused her to suffer these horrible mutations very naturally, and after a long period of trying to fake a natural life, decided to dedicate herself to caring for children and making the rest of her community as comfortable as possible.
Carson Jackson
Ended up using this one, wish I had the drawfag skills to make something like this, but with a beard.
Jaxson Morris
No problem.
Given the nature of the image (flat colors) I suppose it wouldn't be hard to use paint to take the bear out and just have the druid on his own. Something to consider.
Went and tried my luck, and boy did I get lucky. Now I'm gonna feel bad if I never get to use this for anything.
Adrian Johnson
I love this one.
Nicholas Sanchez
>meaning for 4 feats you can cover 3 lost caster levels/spells known. Ok, let me rephrase it, is there a way in where I don't become useless paperweight shit of gaining more than 2 caster levels back?
I don't have 4 feats free, and even if I had them I'm not going to waste them on that shit, I'm already have problems by being a Paladin

Do what I do. Prey upon them. Spend an hour or so each day sorting through the new submissions/artists on places like DA and FA, looking for decent art and the scent of vulnerability. Then you eye them, watch their journals and comments for the ones that obviously undervalue their art or are just bad with money. Wait a little bit to make sure it's not a one off thing. Then you pounce. Get something big, in the $1-200 range and compliment them, make them stream it, get them used to you being around for chatting while they work on it. Follow it up with a few little pieces, make sure you like working 'with' them, then you start to make them dependent. Just go missing at times during chat, mention your own little money troubles, complain about how you would love to get more but bills need paying. Get them used to doing quick stream pieces for you, then go in for the kill and suggest a patreon or similar set up.
If you play your cards right and impress on the poor artist how it's steady reliable income, constant additions to their portfolio, something they can rely on and schedule around, they'll go for it. Then you can start getting art regularly on the cheap because you're their friend, and you get to decide if you want to keep them there or advertise them a bit and help them get bigger, but not so big that they might start charging you more or drop the special arrangement. This works even better with a slightly younger and more trusting crowd, because you can work ideas into conversations like 'oh you're hungry, well I can send you something over grubhub if you draw this idea I just had.' and get a bit more control and knowledge over them.
Tyler Moore
This is a shitty homebrew, but hear me out lads.
My plan is to have each of my players earn a weapon, or piece of equipment, that will level with them and have some bonuses on it.
Originally, this was a LOT stronger, but some people I ran it by talked me into toning it down.
This is the weapon intended for the party's rogue. Could I get some suggestions on making the weapon useful but not absolutely necessary?
Name is a placeholder as well.
Luis Martinez
here, have some sensible full plate armor.
Alexander Rogers
Well, it'll be easily recognized, but a picture's a picture.
Who said you'd be getting a knight, let alone a girl?
Jaxon Taylor
Well, aren't ye a sweet dear. I guess I have some competition for new Christmas Cake character. Hope you have fun with that, I'll be working on my Eileen build
Isaiah Johnson
user, you're a scary person.
Adam Thomas
Not sure if I want this as the character theme but I like it enough to post it now youtu.be/CHhq5M-yNcQ
>tfw there's so little non-momiji, non-slutty awoo art.
Cameron Cox
Capitalism ho. They provide a service and I pay for it, the whole 'starving artist' thing had to come from somewhere.
Robert Morales
I recognize that artist!
Here's something they recently did. >ywn escort a qt mage to the magic university and fall in love on the way.
Sebastian Lee
Mmm, not a bad idea, can definitely go for that.
May the best cake win; I believe you may have an edge, if only because Eileen is the waifu of many a good hunter.
Mason Johnson
I had no idea there was more stuff like this.
got a link to it?
Dylan Scott
What do you think is going to change first, a sorcerous group's bloodline, or their race?
Alexander Sullivan
>Falling in love with an escort
But why.
Cameron James
>May the best cake win; I believe you may have an edge, Eh, the more I think on her backstory, the more I feel you may have an advantage in accessibility. My poor girl is mentally broken, she's seen some shit, and she just has a hard time getting close to people due to her experience
Aiden Williams
It's on pixiv, artists name is saberiii.
because cute is justice, user
Luis Gonzalez
Is it really? Hope he's not a fucking asshole, last time I ended up using art from that game it was for a wizard, and it turned out it was Lezard.
Aaron Walker
>sensible >naked shiny metal in the middle of a snowy forest
hope they dont get into a fucking fight with more than one opponent
Liam Gomez
>Hope he's not a fucking asshole, EHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEH
Not as much of one as Lezard though.
Chase Cruz
tell me about depressed homebrewer, why should I hate him?
Carter Campbell
>that spoiler I know you're pain.
Dylan Ortiz
Whelp, now I'm going to be wondering if any of my friendly players that have pet artists are actually Neutral Evil.
Nicholas Jackson
You should commission some for Silvia, she deserves some cute!
Jaxson Morgan
He's just a dude that likes to share his homebrews, and you don't have to hate him
Joseph White
thanks, user.
Lucas Baker
That's a cute paladin.
I haven't found any art for mine yet, and we're six sessions in. He's a pale-skinned half-elf with short red hair and a breastplate that grew up in rural Andoran and praised Iomedae all day everyday.
Daniel Lewis
He doesn't want to write ERP homebrew. So we SHOULD hate him.
Jayden Morales
I'd rather not do that unless I get in to the game. Though I designed her to be usable in a lot of different campaigns.
Anthony Kelly
what's the issue here?
Not stupid, just ignorant of the problem.
Brayden Hill
>Mmm, not a bad idea, can definitely go for that.
She sounds like an Erastilian and Shelynite (she could easily worship both) that realized long ago she just won't be able to grab a man with her condition, and has dedicated herself to being surrounded by children she can use as the "next best thing."
Though that makes me wonder how she got that condition!
Ian Cooper
Didn't get any response on this in the lat thread, so i'm posted my reworked haemonculi race again
Haemonculi are defined by their class levels - they do not possess racial Hit Dice. All Haemonculi have the following racial traits
Ability Score Racial Traits: Special, see the Copy racial ability
Size: Special, see the Copy racial ability
Base Speed: Special, see the Copy racial ability
Languages: Haemonculi begin play speaking Common. Haemonculi with high Intelligence can choose any languages they want (except secret languages, such as Druidic).
Copy: At character creation, a Haemonculi may choose another humanoid race, such as human or elves. They gain the ability scores, movement speed, and size of their chosen race, and appear to be a member of that race in appearance. They do not gain any of the other racial abilities of that race.
Living Alchemy: One per a day, as a standard action a Haemonculi can spit up a substance that replicates the effect of a single alchemical item with a craft DC of 20 or less. This item is used as normal, and becomes inert after 1 hour if not used.
Artificial: For the purposes of effects targeting creatures by type (such as a ranger's favored enemy and bane weapons), Haemonculi count as both humanoids and constructs. They gain a +2 Racial Bonus on Will saving throws.
Ageless: Haemonculi do not have age categories, and will never gain any of the benefits or penalties of aging. They have no maximum age, are created fully grown.
Lucas Cooper
TELL ME ABOUT DHB! WHY DOES HE WEAR THE TRIP?
Xavier Morris
:D Wow that track record of mine. Doesn't help that my first instinct for character design was to give him Yuria of Londor's helmet.
Logan Wilson
Another mystery! Though there's an easy answer if she's a sandpoint native.
After all, it would come back to haunt the people of the town again...
Jack Hall
Where does the whole 'bound to creator or donator of blood' bit come in?
Reminds me a lot of a quick and dirty template a GM threw together for me to use with the Alchemical Simulacrum discovery. Ended up making Replicants of everybody and myself.
Jayden Fisher
Do it do it do it!
Dominic Edwards
Look at Roy, Eliwood or Seth from Fire Emblem for ideas.
Or who ever this guy is (I think from GBF).
Does Iomedae do fire n' shit?
Ryder Collins
If you're not sure about that, you could always try your luck in the drawthread. Just make a collage of some references and take the dive. Sure, you might have to wait a few days, but there's no rush!
Hunter Phillips
I was trying to do that with the copy thing, but I didn't want to bind people too heavily.
I don't know, I could create some sort of drawback for them related to that but it'd be a mostly gm fiat thing something like 'purpose: each haemonculi is created for a purpose by their creator, if they go against that purpose they begin to feel the effects of a geass' or something.
Liam Myers
And I forgot the picture.
James Butler
She mostly does trumpets.
Wyatt Hughes
i like to think of them as Airhorns
Iomedae is the goddess of MLG plays, the one who grants the doritos pope his power
Wyatt Morris
I've seen that said so many times AND IT STILL HURTS.
Jack Gutierrez
I'd link it to a person or purpose then have something like daily saves against wisdom loss to represent the gradual insanity personally. Include some ritual in the 50-100 gold range to gain a new person/purpose if they don't already have one.
Caleb Taylor
Not going to lie, I'm kind of falling in love with the idea of Gremlin Iomedae.
John Collins
Fug. Is she not the sun diety?
Jackson Nelson
might be worth playing with, i like it as an interesting idea.
Jose Jones
I preferred the idea of her putting the PCs in a divine game show. The trumpets sounded like this: youtube.com/watch?v=1ytCEuuW2_A
Carson Parker
Nope, that's either Sarenrae or Shizuru.
Still, both women! Funny how all the deities associated with the Sun (traditionally a male role) are women!
>Paizo split the sun and crusade deities Can they do anything right?
Adrian Wood
They really can't.
Leo Edwards
just remember that THE LEGEND NEVER DIES.
Grayson Perry
Actually, doesn't Iomedae have access to the Sun domain?
Anthony Bell
Yes, though her sun aspect is toned down and her light aspect is emphasized.
Thomas Ward
just checked. Looks like you're right.
I frankly have no idea why, though. she really has no connection to the sun at all besides "light = holy" which is bullshit on a ton of levels.
Thomas Gomez
Can Paizo do anything right? At least Pelor was a fucking fantastic choice for paladins, being a grossly incandescent sun god associated with light, glory and serious ass-kicking.
David Miller
Yeah, I like Iomedae, but she doesn't have enough identity beyond "is a knight". Maybe the point is that she's a pretty new religion, kind of trying to be Aroden-lite, but I feel like I need something more to work with.
Mason Ortiz
Of course, there was that Burning Hate thing...
Brandon Adams
It's because Paizo fucked up with their original gods. Used to be that you couldn't have a subdomain unless you had the domain, and since the groupings were all messed up Iomedae needed Sun to have Light. It's the same reason why Mammon doesn't have Greed, because that's a Trickery subdomain and he doesn't have Trickery.
Gabriel Taylor
>Maybe the point is that she's a pretty new religion
She's been around longer than Christianity, hasn't she?
Imagine saying that Christianity or Islam has hardly any sort of solid identity because they're "relatively new" religions.
Samuel Jenkins
Before the death of Aroden Iomedae was just one of his servitors. Sure, she was a goddess in her own right, but people prayed to Iomedae in order to get to Aroden. The religion of Iomedae as its own thing only started in AR 4606, so it's only been around for 110 years in universe.
Cameron Torres
Well, comparatively speaking, she's "only" about 1000 years old compared to most other gods being older than time. But there's almost no material for her beyond current crusades--maybe that's just Paizo sucking at writing Lawful Good again.
