ITT: Over Used tropes in that you like

>The Heros make their last stand against overwhelming enemy forces.

Speaking of, why the absolute fuck is there no art of Hurin's stand at the Battle of Unnumbered Tears?

Hmm, good question

>actual good and bad guys

Oh great, another campaign where our allies stab us in the back and the bad guys have orphans. I cant wait for them to show how the bad guy had plans to save us all and the old regime turns into nazis yet again.

>The Undead aren't objectively evil, but the majority of people think that they are because they're "against nature".

I actually appreciate a solid knight in shining armor. Not an asshole cynic, or stupid good. Something close to AllStar Superman, or Prince Phillip from Sleeping Beauty. Im not saying i want saturday morning cartoons either, you can have a nuanced goodguy. Not so overused anymore though

Loner faction who is all about brotherhood

I'm a sucker for ancient civilisations and their ruins

> player's old PCs come out of retirement and assist the new heroes in an adventure

> The Not-Rome faction in any game

>Orcs are a brutish horde of tribal barbarians that are always chaotic evil.

>Over Used tropes

We have a name for that: cliches.

>Villain is over-the-top and has a flair for showmanship
Guys like Hades from Kid Icarus: Uprising make me smile so much.

Using that word would be too, cliché ;)

Boxy and Militeristic human tech in Sci-fi

heavy, durable, Reinforced, Looks like it'd bludgeon a toddler if it fell off the table

40k must be like porn for you.

now this guy gets it. I weep in every xcom playthrough when I hafta upgrade to the stupid curvy alien tech to survive.

certain aspects of it, yeah.

I like my gear to look a little more practical is all.

for example If I had to choose between the UNSC's spaceship look, and the IoM's Spaceship look, I'd choose the UNSC.

But it fits pretty damn well with in the setting , so I just adjust my suspension of disbelief when dealing with WH40k and look for the good stuff while accepting most of the rest.

But those are good and bad guys, you're just looking at Chaotic Good vs. Lawful Evil. Sounds like you just want Lawful Good vs. Chaotic Evil.

and compare these two types of boxy/militerized.
I enjoy both of these arsenals, but it's obvious that the UNSC's ergonomics are better. All of the Elysian gear would be clunky and looks heavy as sin. Granted, it's because the entire setting is based off of a miniwargame that came out in the 70's-80's and in the 'heroic' scale. So lots of easily painted surfaces and what not.

Yeah, the halo pic is fanmade but it fits in with the setting pretty well.

anything tacticool

on second thought that is not the best picture I could have chosen.

I... oh my.

I'm befuddled. I can't tell the age of this writer. they mention clips [I assume they mean mags] but before that they say you reload by 'dropping bullets into the slot'.

at least they seemed to understand how bolt action guns worked.

>ork gun design.jpeg

>the ancient ruins are actually highly technologically advanced/the dungeon is a crashed spaceship
>the party meets in a tavern and/or ends the adventure in a tavern getting swerve
>large scale organized religions are pretty messed up
>deep ones

Dunno if overused or not, but I quite like the
>immortality isn't fun
Trope.

by gum you're fuckign right.

And by the way I love the 'trope' Of ramshackle weapons and vehicals of any setting. Titan AE really started that love.

When did Lawful Evil become morally gray? Or Chaotic Good for that matter?

> The Fire Dungeon located at Fiery Mountain is filled with Fire-themed monsters and traps. The reward is a fire-infused gem.

That's hot, also
> The final confrontation takes place inside a volcano

>Main lieutenant of the bad guy is a slutty vixen who lusts after lawful good dick

>Female Dark Elves are all dominatrices
