Fantasy races: On a roll

Rolled 7 (1d10)

Alright, Veeky Forums, time for this thread again.
Here we roll races for a setting and build the world around them.

Simply roll 1d10 and name your race or fact about the race.

On a roll of 1, the race existed in the setting, but is now extinct.
If you roll 2-5, the race doesn't exist in the setting.
6-9 means that race does exist.
10 means that the race is one of dominant races in the setting.

Same with facts, except roll of 1 means the opposite is true, you can override
the facts with higher rolls, and roll of 10 means you can't override it, it's absolute truth.

I'll start with the obvious:
>Humans

Rolled 9 (1d10)

Poképeople

Woohoo! First good roll in a while.

Slavs

Gnolls

Rolled 4, 3 = 7 (2d10)

Gotta roll for it, bruh.

Oh damn, duh, Thought we were doing ending numbers.

Dice+d10
Sphinx

...

Where is the email field?

Put it in options.

dice+1d10

Rolled 9 (1d10)

thanks user

Rolled 1 (1d10)

Treemen/treants/ents/whatever term you want to use for "tree people."

Are a form of sentient demonic spirit

derp

Rolled 7 (1d10)

alright, now for reals.

Rolled 6 (1d10)

Elves

Rolled 6 (1d10)

Minotaurs.

Killed off by elven masters.

Rolled 1 (1d10)

Elves are the greatest naval power in the world.

Rolled 5 (1d10)

Rolled 1 (1d10)

Minotaurs are renowned seafarers and traders.

Rolled 9 (1d10)

Sphinxs are a form of intelligent Golem

Rolled 5 (1d10)

Minotaurs are masters of conventional warfare and melee combat.

Rolled 7 (1d10)

Wereboars.

Rolled 5 (1d10)

Lemurfolk

Rolled 9 (1d10)

Mermaids

Dryads, a people one with the trees. Both genders exist in this race.

Whoops.never actually used dice as long as I've been on Veeky Forums

Rolled 5 (1d10)

Mermaids Look something like this.

Rolled 1 (1d10)

Drow.

put Dice+1d10 in the options field.

Rolled 3 (1d10)

We still don't have a dominant race...

Halflings

Rolled 2 (1d10)

Trolls, WoW style.

Rolled 5 (1d10)

>all these failed rolls

fucking wew

Rolling for sexy Kobolds

Rolled 4 (1d10)

Dryads

Killed off in the Treefolk wars. Their three great Undercities were all obliterated in an apocalyptic growth of Giant Roots at the climax of the conflict. Adventurers who go down there looking for loot still find skeletons impaled by the huge mess of dead wood stretching down from the ceiling.

Elves are masters of biological magic, and fuse themselves with plants.

Rolled 6 (1d10)

>no roll
got you, fampai.

evil humans called fay or whatever, basicly humans but gothic looking (no blonde's, perpetualy sleep deprived appearance) cant interbreed with anything, necromancy is a trade skill to them, like carpenting. basicly less dramatic undead/vampire counts/necromancer's

Arachnea. The Age of the Spider has come

Rolled 8 (1d10)

Rolling

Rolled 6 (1d10)

I like it, even if it means I dont get my sexy drow mistresses.

Lets go with living golems this roll, clockwork soldier style.

Rolled 8 (1d10)

Lalafells.

Rolled 1 (1d10)

Fuck, forgot to roll. Come on 10!

Rolled 2 (1d10)

>Sphinx, Merfolk, and Poképeople all got 9

Whatever has the 10 is probably going to have three big groups trying to take that crown.

>7 for Pokéfolk being Sentient Demonic Spirits
Poképeople's main weakness is that they can be sealed into magic containers as the trade off for having magical powers.

wut

...

Damn, guess they died with the Drow then.

merfolk

Rolled 6 (1d10)

Rolling for humans being able to make half-breeds with other humanoid races.

Rolled 5 (1d10)

Already in senpai

They are descendent from elves.

Sphinx, Merfolk and Pokemen is a pretty interesting Elf/Dwarf/Orc triad to oppose whoever the humans end up being.

Rolled 5 (1d10)

Fairies!

Rolled 7 (1d10)

Rolling for humans being the root race of the elves.

Rolled 4 (1d10)

Orcs, warhammer style. (no not 40k orks)

jew wizard halflings.

Roll for dominance

Lets go Elephant People!

Rolled 10 (1d10)

A N G E L S

Rolled 6 (1d10)

>Merpeople rule the seas. They have an ancient grudge against elves and minotaurs, sinking any ship they dare to lower into water.

Rolled 1 (1d10)

FUCK, I keep forgetting my rolls.

Oh shit.

Rolled 7 (1d10)

Undead.

Rolled 7 (1d10)

I second vaguely Semitic Kabbalist Halflings.

Oh shiiiiiit, this just got real.

Rolled 6 (1d10)

Liches are misunderstood

Rolled 5 (1d10)

Oh shit, how well do the demons compare?

HERE WE GO BOIS

Rolled 8 (1d10)

Elves are the masters of airship technology.

Rolled 6 (1d10)

Often act upon information others do not have access too, but assume they know.

Ok, but why are they naked? I don't recall midget flashers in the Torah.

Rolled 4 (1d10)

D W A R V E S

Rolled 9 (1d10)

They run around naked because they are barely one step above Kinder in terms of mentality.

Rolled 3 (1d10)

Gnomes.

Rolled 4 (1d10)

They are free from sin and never die.

Rolled 9 (1d10)

Angels rule the mortal realm because when the Devils were on the verge of taking over heaven, they used Divine WMD against the orders of their God and destroyed the afterlife. Without an afterlife to hold souls and siphon up belief, all the Gods died. With nothing left to rule them, the Angels came to the Mortal World to live... AND CONQUER!

Balmung.

It's California AND Florida of FF XIV servers.

Rolled 6 (1d10)

They only believe they are free from sin, they are actually midget wizard jews that take everybody's gold and never gives it back so you must throw them down the well it's considered good luck

...

...

I am way too drunk for this thread.

Rolled 3 (1d10)

Dwarfs.

Rolled 1 (1d10)

Angels seek to rebuild heaven, this time with better security so that ti doesnt happen again.

Rolled 6 (1d10)

Duergar?

Sorry bruh.

Why not give the races here some lore

Rolled 7 (1d10)

Dragons.

I can live with that.

Rolled 84 (1d100)

With the afterlife no longer existing, the dead walk the mortal realms, spirits fly freely and all manner of unlife coexist with life.

Rolled 6 (1d10)

So uhh...in that case. Angels are tired of the tyranny of the Gods and seek to prevent new ones from springing up.

Rolled 8 (1d10)

Wereboars are cursed orcs. They were transformed into such by their gods as punishment for losing a great war.

Rolled 3 (1d10)

Oops

Rolled 3 (1d10)

Speaking of which, Orcs, we don't have those yet.

Rolled 5 (1d10)

Because they all became wereboars.

Are actually sentient elven airships

Rolled 1 (1d10)

Aggressively anti-religion angels. I like it. Maybe even a full on no-prayers-allowed-ever Inquisition as one of their most important government institutions?

...

Rolled 2 (1d10)

Well now what.
Uhhh angels are actually really conflicted about the whole ordeal

Rolled 6 (1d10)

This means that angels really hate the gods, but for whatever reason they keep replicating their overly religious culture, even if they themselves do not realize it.

Succubi

Rolled 2 (1d10)

Devils

Rolled 8 (1d10)

Religion is so intertwined with their culture and their very existence that is all but impossible for them to disassociate it from themselves. Even though they are loathing every second of it.

So I guess the devils didn't really exist...that makes things interesting.
