EDH/Commander General: Tribal Edition

Three main kinds
1. Oloro combos, Sanguine Bond + Exquisite Blood and there might be a Felidar too.
2. Brago, can't explain them all, inf mana, tokens, life, turns, play Stonehorn Dignitary so i can never attack, detain all of my permanents. The list goes on and on.
3. Planeswalkers, Rings of Brighthearth and doubling season with Jace, the Mindsculpter, Ajani Vengeant etc. Might not be inf, but still game winning combos

nigga, youre playing white. you have the best hatebears: thalia, new thalia, ethersworn canonist, gaddock tee, hushwing griff, spirit of the labyrinth, etc. plus they are all tutorable with green cards like chord of calling, eldritch evolution, birthing pod, etc.

Need to cut some from it, any suggestions?

Definitely elementals. A lot of them are in my favorite colors (red and green) and they have a lot of synergy with each other. Now if I had bags of money, I would probably build an Animar or Horde of Notions deck but until I actually have a real job that will never happen.

Cut fiendslayer paladin, mayor of avrabuck, scorned villager, vivid meadow, and experiment one. Then jam
Thalia, New Thalia, Old Sigarda, Gaddog Teeg, and Aethersworn Canonist.

Vivid lands aren't really that spectacular in two color decks, and you can make due with 36 lands. Experiment one doesn't appear to get pumped very much, and can be replaced with better humans--namely Thalia(s). The rest just don't do much to be worth it, and if you're trying to stop combos my suggested hatebears can get you there.

I think it could be decent, there's some great GB Elves, and some great GW elves. Blue gives you access to card draw, and Leovold can keep your opponent's in check while you go balls out.

Today went better than expected. Is it worth building Ink-Eyes? Also holy shit I never noticed Ink-Eyes giant honking mouse titties. I do not suggest looking at google images with safe search off.

You can't ninjutsu from the command zone, so no.

But that's narrow thinking. It has built in regenerate and reanimates your opponent's creatures. Yes, the ninjutsu part is nice, and I don`t know how often I get get it to deal combat damage in black, but it could be neat with various board wipes.

That being said, I`m pretty sure it`s going in my BUG clone and reanimator combo deck.

obligatory additions are eternal witness, chord of calling, recruiter of the guard, tireless tracker, mirrari's wake, and duskwatch recruiter

not a human but has nice human synergy is angelic overseer

because you are a tribal aggro deck you probably want to run cards that make your humans indestructible, such as dauntless escort, selfless spirit and avacyn

things I would cut:

gather the townsfolk: most of the time its just two tokens. terrible

scorned villager: you are better off running mana ramp like cultivate, kodama's reach, explosive vegetation, etc than having a mediocre mana dork

consul's lieutenant: attacking trigger is not worth it

experiment one: it takes forever to be a threat. dead draw late in the game

fiendslayer paladin: too small

heron's grace champion: gaining life is not that good unless your deck works around it

surrak: making your small creatures have haste doesn't seem too threatening

champion of the parish: same with experiment one. it takes forever to grow into a relevant threat

this is all my opinion anyways. hope it helps

What's the worst alter you've ever seen /edh/? My vote is for this one. Just fucking look at it. If a new player saw that shit, there is no way they'd believe you when you explained what it did.

What are some green/red cards that inherently benefit more from being copied?

All that I'm seeing are cards with additional costs, and X-costing cards (which in my opinion don't actually benefit as much as people think they do--it's just copying a good spell after all is said and done, just happens to be a spell that you can make "gooder" depending on how much mana you have)

Then, you google what the original card looks like, and realize 10 million people made alters of this one card for pauper reasons.

The only thing i can think to make her work as a commander is a voltron with control elements. Cards like bottomless pit and liliana vess. Field wipes like crux of fate and deadly tempest. There's the traditional black mana ramp and staples, such as necropotence. Give her some auras and equips and she should work as a decent commander.

The point was, someone took a good card with nice artwork, threw some garbage on top, and signed it, AND is selling it for a profit, despite it being a reasonable looking card designed by one of magic's best artists. But that's more 'tism than anything.

There are way too many decks I want to make.

While making an Atraxa infect it has got me wanting to make an Atraxa +1/+1 counters deck, and now I'm thinking about that Nath of the Gilt-Leaf B/G Elf deck, but also maybe a New Odric kind of Human deck too. I love the idea of tribals and trying to stay within a box like that.

Get out flying as fast as possible. Basilisk collar for deathtouch and lifelink, silence to protect the gang pre combat. Every game I win with him is from sudden flyers and untouchable life totals.
