What's your most and least favorite army to play against?

I don't care about armies, I care about the people playing them. Example:
I have a friend who has to 'win' every conversation, argument, dick waving contest, everything. So he turns out to be a WAAC fag who literally cheats.
I also have this friend up at my game store who, without fail, I have a GREAT game against where we joke about shit and just have fun.
I don't like playing against the first. I love playing against the latter.

Why doesn't GW do their own BattleScribe?

It's not like it would free you up to not purchase a codex, and the final step could be to add your army to a cart and order it. It seems backward that they expect people to do lists with pen and paper and then have to math out the boxes to buy.

I'm pretty fortunate in that most of club are decent dudes so I like most of my opponent options. I really dislike playing against Tau because most of the time I find it boring - the only thing worse is a parking lot guard player.

My favorite probably used to be Chaos Demons because their book was so odd to play against but I'm loving all my Chaos buddies having new awesome armies with Traitor Legions.

Favorite: Orks
Least Favorite: Tau

>2016
>no GSC in the OP image

Show me your shit Veeky Forums.

>no deathwatch

Favourite: Probably Nurgle CSM, they always give my Admech a good battle.

Least favourite: Genestealer Cult. The guy who plays them runs an outflanking tonk list and just hides until turn two where you then die to a giant Alpha Strike. I am considering bringing Coteaz along, but the last time I did that his Tau allies (2v2 game) shot him with a Broadside. In retrospect, letting suitspam Tau and GSC ally against CSM and not-Warconvo Admech was probably not going to end well.

My "Main" army is Necrons
Not pictured is 3 Tomb Blades/3 (new) Wraith/5 Immortals /Zandre/Obryon that need assemble + Paint from gifts to be received this Christmas.
Also 2 (old) wraiths not sure where they at currently and another Monolith to be stripped and repainted.

Image was huge so shrunk.

Any good ideas for priming when its 20 degrees Fahrenheit outside?

Is the Imperial Agents codex any good? I heard you can now take tech priests and servitors with Cult Mechanicus, do they have to be taken as that detachment in the book or do they count as part of the cult mechanicus codex effectively?

favorite: khorne daemons. i run blood angels, and even though i get fucked up most of the time, just seeing the drop pods fall in and the ensuing charge as the sons of sanguinius take on the forces of chaos is so awesome and cinematic.
least is eldar. most of the time i'll have to land next to tanks or wraithknights since that makes up the majority of the eldar meta here, so unless i can get some key melta shots in right after the strike i'll normally get cut down by shuriken and d-cannons the turn after.

I'd like to know this too

Why do you always play as humans, Veeky Forums? Why must you always purge and exterminate?

I already answered you on your own stupid thread, now stop double posting go fuck a bug, bugfucker.

Never hurts to get multiple opinions, many people never leave the generals

I've got a smattering of Deathwatch forces from Deathwatch Overkill and Death Masque. What's the best thing to do with them? My only other Imperium army is Blood Angels. I'm tempted to pick up the Watchblade box, just to round out my collection.

Some deathwatch im working on to support my IG. Dont know how to prime my other guys in this cold weather :(

Personally I use an airbrush with vallejo black primer in my bathroom. Gives a nice clean surface

No Renegade Knight

When would I ever take a Helbrute over a unit of Havocs in a Chaos Warband? Would he be more useful in a specific legion, like IW or something?

Havocs are even better in IW, actually. They get Tank Hunters.

Helbrutes are bad unless you take their specific formations to buff them into moderate usefulness. At best, they're lolrandumb versions of loyalist dreadnoughts. At worst, they immobilize themselves and die.

I'm getting one for Christmas in the Start Collecting box. Any suggestions with what to do with it? Any legion that lends themselves to the Start Collecting + A box of Raptors?

I realize it may not be the most optimal group, but they're gifts God damn it and I intend to use them.

Start Collecting box for CSM is really just bad.

Lord is meh unless you're already taking Terminators, in which case the Lord's Cadre box is better. CSM on their own have been buffed, which is alright. Helbrutes are a dime a dozen on ebay and are not great on the tabletop anyways.

Buy Jump Packs for the CSM and make more Raptors, go Night Lords I guess. lol.

It had some wacky formations. Henchman warband can go up to like a 30-40 ish size unit.

Ecclesiarchy battle conclave can get up to 100+ models

The inquisitor bonuses are a decent trade off to servo skulls. Being able to take a warlord trait for 25 points+ the 12 for the acolytes.

I'm not complaining but I'm not a sisters player. Although the valkyrie formations and engineseefs need to be addressed in an FAQ.

Because GW is proud of its lack of market research.

This user speaks true. It's emblazoned on their Financial Reports. Even quoted that shit on my final paper in my accounting class.

Anyone play any games this weekend?

Pic related KDK vs Sisters 1000pts

Don't worry, they're off-table getting ready for their next Cult Ambush roll.

didnt think there was anything worse than unpainted models. turns out i was wrong

We're working on it, but it's a rough season.

it depends on what they bring.

orks in general are fun to play against but warbike spam is just boring as fuck.
tau isnt very fun when they go full anime with 30 big robots but if they got some regular stuff they are fun.

necrons suck balls though

wait is that half of the gw board that they sell? and unpainted?

jesus

It's 2/3rds yea. We haven't decided how we're painting it yet, and I haven't had the time to come in and do it myself.

Can't wait for the new year when my wife goes back to work and I can start my Night Lords army.
Already have Nurgle and Minotaurs :D

how does the board feel in general? me and some buds were thinking about getting it.

is it really loud to roll on? hard to balance figures on and so on

Its not that loud, or bad to balance figures on, but it sure makes it easier for dice to get cocked.

How do I beat Tau as SW in a 1000 point game? This dude brought basically one of everything he could fit. And an OSC, my knight never had a chance.

Also to add to that, what is a smashfucker and deathstar list?

>What is google

how does it look though? it looks incredible on pictures but maybe it looks like shit in person

Its pretty cool in person, much better when you paint it and add broken buildings

already tried, but suck my dick

Rolling dice on it isn't great because of the noise, but rather because dice get caught like said.

However, it's really nice for measuring. The lights in the middle of the road is the 12" mark aka half the square, each road tile is an inch, ect. It makes things a lot easier.

Shit dude I didn't even know about those measurements, neat.

Do you mean in general or like a list at 750 points? In general, if you want a Lord, chainfist + lightning claw, build the CSMs into 2 squads of 5, one with the plasma gun, one with the melta, magnetize the helbrute, if you can't then powerfist + multimelta, build the box of raptors as raptors and give them 2 flamers or meltas if you want them to have specialist weapons

So far from experience dark angels with the shroud are nofun

Funnily enough the most entertaining one I versed with my DE was necrons, altho without my insanely luck overwatch I could see it being cancer

I know a lot of people dislike the Kastelan, but I think with a little work on the faceplate, they dont look half bad. I ended up converting the fists on mine to make them a bit longer, and pretty happy with how it looks.

>tfw you don't roll any 6s on the cult ambush table t1

what is the most fun pts to play at?

i tend to prefer smaller than 2000pts. like 1000-1500pts. larger than that takes so fucking long.

I like 750

Usually you don't see too much WAAC shit imo

Different user worming on Night Lords. I guess LC+CF is for a terminator?

I kinda wanted to do an assault termie squad with a lord + sorcerer + termies inside a Dreadclaw. I could take a small Murder Talon Warband to let them reroll charges, take a small CAD for the Dreadclaws then have them start inside. T1, the dread gets a 3+ jink from the night fighting, and the sorcerer could potentially have invisibility, though it might be better to roll on something else.

thin them paints and shorten them arms.

wait when did this Kharn come out?
games-workshop.com/en-AU/kharn-the-betrayer-2016

It says in the link. 2016.

Looks like an AoS model.

What do we think of this list?
(club I play at has banned flyers for this games night coming for some daft reason)

most fav: elite death squads (grey knights, thousand sons)
least fav: immobile gun lines (tau, guard)

Smashfucker is a specific iron hands character and a deathstar list is a small group of (usually) independent characters tossed in with some resilient unit and buffed to hell with psychic powers or rerollable jink saves or some other bullshit.

Thanks friend

1d4chan

you can only have 1 flag per command squad

Anons, I want to add some Chaos Termis to this list. What should I give them? What should I change?

1500 Khorne Daemonkin

HQ
-Terminator Chaos Lord, 115
+Goredrinker, 30
+Combi-Melta, 7
+Collar of Khorne, 15
+Sigil of Corruption, 25
Total, 167

Troops
-3xChaos Space Marines, 130
+2 marines, 30
+CCWs, 18
+Melta gun, 10
+Plasma Gun, 15
+Icon of Wrath, 20
Total, 223 (669)

Dedicated Transports
-3xChaos Rhinos w/Dozer Blades, 120

Heavy Support
-3xMaulerfiend, 390
+Lasher Tendrils, 30
Total, 420

Complete total, 1,376

>mixing melta and plasma

I'd say drop a troop, and have one double plasma one double melta.

infantry squads without at least one crewed weapon seem like a bit of a waste.

They have one for AoS, so maybe with 8th.

I'm really hoping they do. Battlescribe has been shitting its pants on my phone recently to the point its not even worth using.

I thought it was a good idea at the time. I have three troops because that's how many tac squads BoP comes with, so y'know I thought I'd use all three. Plus, that way they can hold down more objectives and take on more enemies.

recently

Thanks for pointing that out, I missed that.
Is that more effective than the individual heavy weapon squads?

You're not kidding about BS

>load up CSM roster
>2 minutes later its loaded
>change special weapon from 0 to 2
>crashes

>try to find rules for a formation from CotW
>sits there for 5 minutes
>"unable to load data"

Fuck that

I'm just saying that if you want to fit termies in, cut a troop, add the termies, and see where you stand for points. However, a Termicide comes out to like 115 or so points, so you should be able to fit them into your list. That's not counting the MoK, though.

That being said, I don't know KDK that much. Maybe cultists for blood points and objectives?

With traitors hate

Ugly and expensive though

It looks good, the fuck's wrong with it?

Why run this as kdk and not worldeaters?

It's a classic example of GW not realizing that less is more.

Jesus chaos marine shit is expensive

It feels like whenever I fight marines im always outnumbered

It looks almost exactly like the old model, the fuck are you seeing that I'm not?

make a better mini then faggot

Stupid pose with axe behind back and arm extended

Looks like it's wearing a dress

Not much of an improvement over the previous skullballz version

think about it this way, you're missing out on twelve potential autocannons

Yeah, I guess you're right.

What's a termicide loadout? I have 124 points left, which means I could pick up a regular unit of termis (104) and give them 20 points worth of upgrades.

I could probably remove my Icons of Wrath and save 60 points. Re-rolling failed charges and Furious Charge is worth the termies, I think.

>What's a termicide loadout?
three terminators, three combi-weapons

anyone have a good chinaman contact?
>USE GOOGLE user
Google is useless

Z is about the easiest fucker to find, just google "zhanchui email". There, I did the fucking work for you.

Consider taking the relic flag, so you can have an 36 inch bubble of fearless

Ah. A shame the termi kit only comes with one combi-melta, iirc.

Using only WYSIWYG and the leftover bits from the Chaos Lord box and the Termi box, with 184 points, how should I equip them?

>The Red Corsairs had other expectations. Rage and instability were normal for Huron Blackheart, but the periods of seclusion he had recently undertaken were not. The Corpsemaster, along with Valthex and Huron’s innermost circle of sorcerers, had zealously guarded the truth of Huron’s current condition, the instability that threatened to pitch him into mindless daemonhood.

So we learned something about Huron from the new novel. Huron is struggling with pressure within his body caused by the "favor" and blessings of the gods. He is threatening to transform into daemon but with the mind of spawn.

So this raises a question. Abaddon refuses the gift of daemonhood offered by the gods, and has done so plenty of times (at least 13 times). So why can't Huron do the same and refuse the gods gifts and stop himself from ascending into mindless daemon princehood?

>Google is hard
mirandairene.com/

the terminator combi-flamer uses the same "ammunition" as the combi-melta, so you can easily slice the flamer nozzle off and replace it with a meltagun barrel (or vice-versa) without it looking weird

Spray black, dry brush silver. It'll look much better then plastic grey and you can easily paint it what ever colour you want at a later date.

you can still move them upfield with the fire and run order

new bs? mine works flawlessly on all traitor legions

>Dread Claws are still $52

Is it normal to have to wait on her to send an invoice? Or do I have to directly email her with what I want?

I placed an order on her website, and left in the customer comments to send me an invoice, but havent heard anything for almost a week.

Which is easily the best traitor legions at the moment and how do I build it as an army?

Word Bearers for sure. Dark Apostle, Cultists, and CSM are all you need.

and will mishap every fucking time and will eat your lord and costs 100p and the flamer attack isnt ignore cover and it takes so much space in your bag and and and
its shit
