Dogs of 40k

Are there any examples of the Imperium of Man making use of dogs in their military?
Or at the very least they're still man's best friend in the 41st millennium?

Arbites, nigga. They got cyborg dogs to kill the shit out of ganger scum.

Adeptus Arbites (Hive police / Judge Dredd expy) use cyber-mastiffs.

And there's wolfs wolfing wolfs.

Scavvies (in the Necromunda game) have hounds.

Forge World released a pretty badass Arbite Cyberhound handler a couple years ago.

>Or at the very least they're still man's best friend in the 41st millennium?
Yes. Absolutely.
Apparently Mastiffs in particular are popular in the Empire.

Interestingly cats seem to have lost their job to an alien competitor, like cows and grox.

The Gyrinx is the new cat in the 41st millenium

There even was a miniature for them back in the day

They're even popular with Eldar too.

And there was one on the cover of the Planetary Sieges supplement of whatever it was called.
Sitting amongst the Vostroyan Command staff.

Fuck i want this.

More dogs, note the violence enhancing implants and the replacement of its face for a melta-gun.

Your best shot is ebay these days. This was an event only miniature iirc.

I've found that these looks pretty nice as cyberhounds too if you want a complete squad for whatever reason.
For a while I had plans to do a penal legion with arbites command squads.

deserves a honourale mention in a 40k dog thread

also this

>dog

A jackal, surely?

So cyber mastiffs are okay but necrodermis jackal titans are not?

Sorry bud, I don't make the rules I just enforce them.
