Can somebody give me a pic of a Taurox next to a Goliath Truck for scale? or if anyone owns both and doesn't want to take a pic, can a Taurox be converted into a reasonable Goliath?

Any genestealer cult players thing this is a good start?

Would Tempestus be a decent faction to ally in a Skitarii army? Use the Scions as suicide melta squads and let the Vanguard ride in the Tauroxes?

Or should I just go Cybernetic Cohort?

>while an independent character is part of a unit, he counts as part of that unit for ALL rules purposes

>Independent characters can be deployed with units attached to them

>Alpha legion insurgency force cult uprising places a unit that is identical in terms of the original number of models, including upgrades.

>Lost and the damned does the same.

Does this mean that I can stick a sorcerer with the mind veil into a cultist unit and potentially double the number of mind veils in my army?

Is this a new meme?

>~140 models
>a start
You what, mate?

All I know is that I AM ALPHARIUS

Do you have problems with your local store Veeky Forums?

I've been having trouble going to mine and I'm wondering what you would advise. I honestly think the manager at the store I play at hates his regular customers.
>6 painting tables, 3 gaming tables
At this point it was perfect, people always came down with a small box of paints just to do some work on their guys, talk to people and maybe get a game. but then...
>manager removes two painting tables
>removes a gaming table
>moves one gaming table to the dark corner of the store
>introduces this awful booking system that forces you to call him up in advance otherwise you're not allowed anything
Then last weekend this happened to me
>go in last thing friday before closing, manager isn't in
>2/4 painting tables booked, I book a third for first thing saturday
>it's completely empty other
>come in saturday and my friend who was also there wants a game before christmas hits and we won't see each other for a bit
But when I asked him if we could use a table he gets quite angry at us
>tells us we should have met up booked a table in advance
>lies and tries to make us feel guilty about having to turn so many people who wanted to book painting stations
>tells us we have have it if we want but we're not allowed to book any more painting for awhile
The place is a graveyard these days, no one goes anymore and I think it's due to these changes. I just don't understand why he made them.

What do you think?

NO IM APLHARIUS!

Yeah that sounds stupid.

My local GW basically goes "if you call in, it's reserved" but otherwise first-come, first-serve.

Fuck that guy, he deserves to have his place torched. Find a new place and leave that faggot in the dust.

WHO YOU CALLIN PINHEAD

Hit me.

My LGS is great. Not super busy, but 3 game tables, a painting table, the card game area (which usually has 2+ tables open to paint at), no advance booking required, 300+ pieces of painted terrain for free use. The owner is struggling business-wise, but he's still good to us. The only reason I pay full price for GW plastic is to support him.

If it isn't a Games Workshop store, I would just go somewhere else or start investing in my own gaming table at home. You can make a gaming table out of any number of household items. Theres nothing sacred about going to a game store for your games other than to support the local business, and the owner doesn't sound like he wants to keep his business.

I own a Taurox and have personally seen a friend's Goliath. They're very similar in scale, the Goliath is slightly larger (and has the open deck). You could manage it.

thanks, my dude

So it seems the best way to go if im doing the Nurgle Vecotrium formation is to use a chaos warband instead of the plague colony? But my precious plague marines!

I have both, but I'm not going to tell you.

Whats the most OP faction at the moment?

What would you reccommend.

Can somebody give me a pic of a Taurox next to a Goliath Truck for scale? or if anyone owns both and doesn't want to take a pic, can a Taurox be converted into a reasonable Goliath?

I've only been to the one LGS I always have, it's older than I am and the owners are math and biochem professors.

Taurox on the bottom, base plate of the Goliath chassis on the top, to scale.

some fucking vehicles, you nerd

I have both, but I'm not going to post a picture.

oh, cool, they're pretty close, it looks like.
Thanks

fluffwise it'd have a purpose, used to be skitarii was always described as having hellguns and carapace armor. Give em vanguard heads and it'd make sense, at least as far as old fluff was concerned.

Competitve? Probably not, but it'd look pretty fucking cool to see admech troops dropping/teleporting in to take out targets as your regular skitarii start moving in.

genestealer cult vechiles arent very good. do you plat them?

My LGS is actually cool as fuck. Nobody is a sperg lord, the manager gives me and my wife free swag non stop (probably because i never purchase less than 50 bucks worth of shit but still) and is the type of dude that maintains a friendly atmosphere.

Only real rules are you have to have a rulebook and can only use GW models which I can respect.

Bro, your store manager is a niggerfaggot and you need to call in and get him fired.

Can somebody give me a pic of a Taurox next to a Goliath Truck for scale? or if anyone owns both and doesn't want to take a pic, can a Taurox be converted into a reasonable Goliath?

Starting with less that 140 models. 1500 isn't a starting point, it's a finish line.

Also, what the fuck, Captcha.

no the sorcerer doesn't join the formation

I think you're going to regret having no shooting of consequence.

They're just fine. They do their job. Transports get infantry where you want them and Leman Russes have always been solid. Infantry spam is gonna get mowed down fast, especially if your opponent has any artillery at all

Can somebody give me a pic of a taurox or a goliath truck next to a pair of LEGAL titties? Or if anyone owns both and doesn't want to take a pic, are titties really nice looking?

Come at me.

>i just finished painting 1200 pts of wolves
>i have nothing left to paint
>guess i better buy some more shit

>The machines have become too smart to be fooled by visual defenition questions, they now need to be fooled by emotional questions

Men of Iron when?

sorry, I only play 1500 point games

It's unfortunate, but the chaos war band is far and away better than 7000 plague Marines.

If you want plague Marines, consider a CAD

The cycle continues

Where you are right now is where I aspire to be. I have such a big back log. I want to be at a point where I can mix and match my army as much as I want and it's all created. Then I want to buy more for more options and then start collecting another army.

>play a 2250 point game
>play a 1500 point game and jack off later

Tough call on how to spend a thursday afternoon

2250.
Save it for Saturday/Sunday.
Santa Claus is cumming to town.

You never said the shirt had to come off

So what is everyone's sort of middle ground point average? 1500? I know 1750/1850 is tourney limit, right? Do you ever run 2000 points or more on the regular?

Is shooting for 1000 points built, based, and painted too low of a goal? Or is 1500 built and left grey more accepted.

please be london

Beep boop, fuck the loyalists.

My Diaz Daemonettes shipped last night. I'm excited.

I like to do between 750-1000 mostly but generally 1500 is my cutoff. Aint nobody got time to spend all day at the store.

My favored point bracket, and what I built for, is 1000 points. I have provisions up to 1850, and it's required to field the core unit of my army fluff-wise, but 1850pt games take too long.

Either 1000 or 1500 would be fine under your conditions in my book. I have 1100-ish built right now, but of that, only about 20% is painted.

most people play entirely grey so don't worry about what you have painted

Come back at me.

...

>Death Guard rules turn everybody into Plague Marines
>waaaah, what about my Plague Marines
What the fuck is wrong with you people.

...

This has been bothering me for some time now. Can I mix Legion "Tactics"

I know C:SM chapters tactics explicitly disallow it but I haven't found anything preventing me from doing so with Traitor Legions yet.

I'm so lonely

I see London,
I see France,
I see a heretic
being purged with fire.

Hold the fucking line!

Cut down the Neophyte squads to 10 members, get a mix of Claws/Whips on the Metamorphs. Maybe try to fit in another Subterranean uprising with min-sized units, the more units you have, the more chance of rolling those sweet 6s on the cult ambush table.
Also why does your Purestrain unit from Brood Cycle have extra members?

Shooting for 1000 first makes sense. Then you can expand to 1500/1850 later if you want.

why are you running nothing but priests and cannon fodder? Do you think being in the guard is a motherfucking game son?

I would drop it down to 1 giant Bullgryn unit so that you can fit some actual shooting in there.

mine too

what do you mean mix legion "tactics"

Implying anyone can stop Bullgryn. Literally invincible.

Tell me about the Violator. Why does he wear the mask?

You should probably get a tank or something. At the least get a goddamn sentinel.

Shooty armies are just gonna rape you right in the flashlight.

Alright user, your Dreadnought better fire overwatch since my Maulerfiend's charging at him! Thanks to my Blood Tithe's Unstoppable Ferocity, he has FnP (6+)!

>why are you running nothing but priests and cannon fodder?

Because that's literally what the Guard are for, sah!

>Implying anyone can stop Bullgryn

You can ally CSM with CSM as BB. So you could have a Alpha Legion detachment and Death Guard detachment in the same army for example. You cannot "mix" within a single detachment however.

Did I miss a meme while at work?

Puny chicken legged robot man. We will tip you over.

Sorry for all the newbie questions. Do you think the normal people or hell, even store folk would be willing to do like a sort of 'rules primer' game where they help you get reacquainted with the rules and stuff? It's been a long time since I've last played. I had to look up half my USRs.

Can somebody give me a pic of a Taurox next to a Goliath Truck for scale? or if anyone owns both and doesn't want to take a pic, can a Taurox be converted into a reasonable Goliath?

So, if The Gathering Storm lets any faction do cool stuff, and the Fall of Cadia is only the first installment, what else we guessing?

>recommending a sentinel

When you put a Space Marine character into the squad of another chapter tactic. (Say, a White Scar into a squad of Ultramarines to give the unit Hit And Run) Both units lose Chapter Tactics.

Is it possible to take a Chaos Space Marine character and put him into another legion's squad? (Say a Night Lord Sorcerer into an Death Guard squad to give them Stealth.)

Absolutely.

return of the primarchs

>Do you think store employees would be willing to do their god damn jobs?
Maybe.

Go for it. Worst case scenario is you just watch some other people play for a bit.

Tau v Nids, probably.

This gif is really unsettling, please delete it.

>unsettling
Yeah, it really unsettled my cock
INTO A THROBBING ERECTION

...

I hear you mate. I still have an erection from thinking about sucking user off while dressed as Wyches.

>huge release
>Look how terrifying the nids are
>no codex update for the bugs though
>Warhammer Twitch stream of tau vs bugs
>It's 5 flyrants vs nothing but kroot blobs

>Oh gosh guys, nids are really strong

>Still lose 3 of the flyrants to snap firing and grounding tests

Cult Ambush also gets infantry where he wants them though, especially with the Subterranean Uprising Detachment. The huge amount of tax units in the Broodcycle is meh (and fucking expensive money-wise), but the buff banner seems quite nice. It could be swapped for the Neophyte Cavalcade though.

>Kriegers
>Holding anything

too easy, wouldn't even have to change my 1850

That's the other thing I was going to ask. How do you guys feel about spectators? Would it be weird if I hovered over the game and asked occasional questions?

Kriegers are fantastic at holding stuff, what they're holding just often ends up radiation scarred, filled with craters and rendered virtually unusable as anything except for a mining or Adeptus Mechanicus zone.

>Still lose 3 of the flyrants to snap firing and grounding tests

Oh, wow. Nids did get stronger.

No one cares about your gay 1850 list. Kill yourself, but smash your models first.

Me too buddy, me too.

>wasting your time killing transports.
What do you think parking lot was?
It was transports for days.

Can someone post the rules for Renegade Knights? I want to compare them to FW's Chaos Knight rules.

you cared enough to respond their buddy
