Pathfinder General /pfg/

How can we make ratfolk great again? They have terrible stats and slow speed. How can we get people to play mouseboys, mousegirls, and mousetraps?

Being small and slow hurts a lot, and other than their attributes their abilities are kind of dull.

/pfg/ collectively doesn't like Small races, another one of those autistic things.

But I do like small races, especially Ratfolk and Kobolds

So I said this in the last thread but I just want to get some verification on my logic here. Say I'm a level 1 LN Cleric, and I want to sterilize a room so that it's free of germs for the operation. If I use one of my channels for the day to channel negative in that empty room, will that sterilize it free of any pathogens?

>implying being small and slow matters when you're using your magic to fly around

what, do you think ratfolk are ever going to me used for martial classes?

>Or, ya know, a Smuggler Rogue.

Rogue is a terrible class for a Molthune Knights campaign though.

>and Kobolds

Don't lie to me, lad.

Mice inferior. Rats SUPERIOR.

BUT NOT AS SUPERIOR AS KOBOLDS.

Last night I fapped to Seiferen kobold porn
That good enough for you?

A smuggler's a terrible character for Molthune Knights!

Rogues don't have alignment restrictions user, their flavor is whatever you want it to be.

>A smuggler's a terrible character for Molthune Knights!

>Implying smugglers don't make the best knights

Honestly, this is just me having the jitters because Rogue is such a uniformly "bad" class for the whole knightly thing!

It should work, I'd think. I mean, there's other questions you might ask - like, 'do germs even exist or do people get sick because of magically bad air' - but I can't see why it wouldn't.

Tieflings are already better at being Small and Dex/Int.

I mean, isn't that the entire point of, say, Filth Fever? That you've landed in a pile of trash so disgusting that you contracted some kind of disease from it?

In which case wouldn't that be a good-aligned cause to channel negative energy? Sure you're technically ending life but I don't think anyone's on the side of the germs here.

Davos is a FORMER smuggler, user, you should have said that!

I'm not sure why you think Rogue is a bad class for a knight. Rogue doesn't mean stab you in the back and steal your gold, the class is so flexible that it doesn't have any set in stone flavor. The Rake archetype, for example, could be a duelist, or a knight, or a sociopath.

You! Yes, you! How would your character answer these? Any character is fine: past or present; RotJR/Molthune or non-meme-game.

1. What's the character's name?
2. Did they choose this name or was it given to them?
3. How's the character's relationship with their parents?
4. Does the character have a favorite food?
5. If the character was asked a trolley problem question or fantasy equivalent, how would they respond?
6. What does the character like to wear? Do they have different clothing than their adventuring gear? Why or why not?
7. What kind of music does the character like?
8. If the character is flirted with by someone they find attractive, how would they respond?
9. What about someone they don't find attractive?
10. When given a meal they dislike, how does the character respond? Do they eat it anyway? Go hungry? Order something else?
11. Does the character drink? If yes, what sort of alcohol do they like?
12. How does the character respond to praise?
13. Does the character ever plan on settling down in the future?
14. If not, is there a specific reason for it or are they just unsure?
15. How well does the character handle money? If given a windfall, what's the first thing they do?
16. Does the character like their job?
17. Is there something else the character wishes they were doing with their lives instead?
18. Does the character drink coffee? How do they take it?
19. Does the character like sweets?
20. How does the character respond to criticism?
21. What did you just learn about your character?

Well gosh, I thought the FORMER was assumed since he's a bit busy with the whole "ruling over a village" thing!

I'm a filthy shameless slut for full-BAB classes that can take a hard one to the face in combat, which is why I've been romancing the concept of using Slayer over Rogue, even if Rogue fits a little bit better - that said, this isn't a solo campaign, and everyone will be making martials of some flavor! This guy's not fit for fighting, so he won't be a fighter![

Also this portrait is really calling to me for the character art, and it's lookin' mighty closer to a Slayer than Rogue. Still, my portrait-coffers are deep, I could find a proper smuggler somewhere./spoiler]

I need advise on this build:
pastebin.com/7wm3C0Hn

Can someone tell me if I've done anything egregiously wrong thus far? Would this fit a comfy knight game? An old spy past his time now building a spy academy.

Please no

I just want to hear about your characters, user. Is that so bad?

The only thing incompatible between rogues and knights is the name of the class. Think of a rogue as a skillful finesse fighter in this case and don't take talents that are "un-knightly".

1) Yori Rilsane
2) It's a shortening of her given name, Yorinia, and the name of her folklore hero, Larazod Rilsane.
3) Her dad was a human, so he's dead, and she never met her mother, but her memories of her father are vague and not very good.
4) Authentic Chelaxian cuisine.
5) She'd keep asking questions to find the flaws in the problem. If actually presented with the problem she'd pull the lever. More people alive means more people to exploit.
6) Either her priestly robes, black with red trim, or a lean leather outfit suited for sneaking.
7) Slow and somber. She dislikes anything upbeat.
8) Really depends on the person.
9) Hypocrisy.
10) Eats it. She's gone hungry before, and she's not going to give up food.
11) Yes, her drink of choice is Hippocras.
12) With a carefully measured amount of pride, a response to the acknowledgement of her skills.
13) Yes, though not any time soon.
15) Tithe to Asmodeus, then secure it some place safe as she considers her potential investments.
16) Loves it. Best job in the world, and she wouldn't do anything else if she could help it.
17) No, since she's trying to make the world how she thinks it should be.
18) On occasion, and always black.
19) Nope.
20) Careful introspection, then derision if she doesn't find it accurate.
21) She's patient. Very much so, both by birth, since she's got time to live, nature, since she's not very smart but she works through problems at her own pace, and training, since she knows the value of a long and carefully executed plan.

1. Rubio/Agni/Kazuma

10. Eat it anyway/Order something else unless there's nothing else to be found/Blacken it a little or drown it with alcohol to make it more palatable

12. Beaming smiles, pride, getting more animated and loud/Pleasantly surprised, maybe more apt to like somebody/Gets more boastful than usual
13. Hopefully, if he can make enough money/Not until he's settled some personal business/No, has no real plans for that
14. Yes, but he wants to be a good enough man for her/Not that he knows of/Not really
15. Fairly well, with a bit of help; probably would fix up his house or hire a housekeeper if he had extra money/Handles himself okay, would buy better gear if he had money/Poorly, would probably lose it all fairly quick
16. It's the family business--he doesn't think he's fit for it, but can't give it up/It's okay, he gets what work he can/Suits him just fine

user, you are cute! Cute! I love you.

...

Not undead pathogens

I think you are cute too! W-what's the cutest character you've played /pfg/?

I don't think those exist...

1. Yelpetor Valdemar
2. Given
3. Daddy who neglected him died of age and mommy elf is off somewhere being a calistrian whore
4. Fish. Just fish
5. They would stop the trolley with their physical might
6. Fancy merchant clothing when not in his armor
7. His darling daughter's singing
8. "I'm married"
9. "I'm married"
10. If there is a choice, order a new one. If not, he eats it and powers through
11. Yes. Vodka, beer and whiskey
12. "Thanks"
13. He already has, he's just having fun adventuring
14. Beep
15. Merchant, enough said.
16. Yes
17. Fishing
18. Straight from the pan right off the stove
19. Yes
20. "Okay"
21. Nothing that I couldn't tell about him already.

Now for that aforementioned daughter

1. Sorianna Valdermar
2. Chose
3. Loving and warm
4. Velvet cake
5. She would stop the trolley some way or despair
6. Fancy, colorful clothing, preferably butterfly or star themed
7. Any as long as it's nice and comfy
8. Blush and thank them kindly
9. If it's because how they look, she just notes that it's sweet. If it's because of personality she rather visibly shows her disgust.
10, If there's a choice, order a new one. If not, then eat out of politeness but show her disgust
11. A little, mostly wine and sugary drinks
12. With a gleeful thanks
13. Maybe when she finds that perfect somebody. For now, she travels
14. If not, then it's because she likes to travel and learn about the world
15. She has loose pockets if somebody asks her nicely
16. Yes
17. No
18. No
19. Yes
20. Slightly shocked, but nothing further
21. Nothing I didn't already know, except the favorite food.

Clearly, you've never met a bored wizard.

You know, I've never seen the full image of this.

Thanks, I like my face too

They do, just in very small numbers. Of course, with the selective pressure you're applying by channeling negative energy...

17. Traveling exotic lands, righting wrongs, fighting evil/Going after his father's killers/Getting world famous
18. Often, black/Occasionally, with sugar if it's around/No
19. They're okay/Yes/Yes, very much
20. Takes it under advisement, but admits in some cases that there are just some things he can't change about himself or his life/Sits there and tunes it out/By making some dramatic declaration to prove them wrong
21. Honestly, he's turning out pretty much like I expected--but then, I've given him a lot more thought than the others/He's way more adrift in the world than I'd first planned/He's unlikely to win many friends

Oh, you'll make an old woman blush!

Guys how do I become the only manly warrior in a group of cute mages and clerics?

>DHB thinks Molthune has an embassy in Tamran

Paladin of Kurgess

By killing all the other manly warriors. Rip and Tear. Rip and Tear until it is done.

Why wouldn't it? Establishing an embassy would be important in times of war. It allows you to have lines of communication between the two nations throughout the conflict.

>Paladin of Kurgess
>Paladin of Shelyn
>Brawler
>Slayer
>Barbarian
>Bloodrager

Molthune doesn't acknowledge Nirmathas as a country, it's just a province that's under a constant state of rebellion. Add in that Tamran isn't a proper capital, just a bait city, and there's zero chance that Molthune would station an embassy there.

Nah not what to play.

I mean how do I make it a reality.

What would an undead pathogen even do?! Infect a zombie?

1. No idea yet
2. Parents name their children. He hasn't had a midlife crisis yet
3. Not cold but a bit distant
4. Hard cheeses
5. Vertical Impulse
6. Not decided yet. Probably semi-expensive though
7. All music he's heard so far was lameass chamber music so the answer's none
8. Probably a bit more stammering than he thinks he'll do
9. That, he can be polite with. And looking for an exit ASAP
10. Depends who ordered it. He'll eat it if he did and didn't know what he was getting into
11. He's tried wine socially, he's never actually gotten drunk proper and has no idea
12. Not something he's used to
13. It's expected of him. He doesn't plan on it so much as "knows" it'll happen
14. Doesn't it just happen?
15. He's good at saving about half for a rainy day, the rest is for spending
16. Clean air, new sights, it goes well
17. No, he kinda managed to maneuver into getting to do this
18. Has he ever even heard of it? Do they even have coffee everywhere on this world?
19. Very
20. Constructive kinda cows him if he's got reason to believe it's right. Unwarranted makes his opinion of the person sink fast
21. That I still hadn't figured out a name and still suck at fashion

Huh, makes sense. I am not super aware of the history. Where would be a better place for Kurat to have gone during this embassy days? Follow the secrets he uncovered about the Steel Falcons to Andoran. Molthune would likely have an Embassy there.

By not putting up with their cute shit.

If it fit my schedule I'd make a Man knight and be your bro knight

Ive just been watching Pyrocynical and just imagined this displeased knight with his voice.

Molthune has much better relations with Andoran and Druma, or even Korvosa, Cheliax, Isger, or Nidal.

>IDrive is asking in the one on one ROTJR what firearms are in use

Where were you when he ruined another game, Veeky Forums?

I-I was sitting on couch, playing pokemon, watching my brother play a card game with friends. W-why do you want to know?

>ruined another game

he can't ruin a game if he and the GM are the only ones in it, faggot

>Witchhunt user is posting again
Where were you when he ruined another thread, /pfg/?

See Why do you guys want to know so badly?

Sounds like someone's got a little crush! What's the matter, do you want I. Drive to play with you? Go ahead, PM him! I'm sure if you specify which girl you want to fuck he might figure out some arrangements on a private channel.

How is that ruining a game? That's a valid question to ask with pathfinder.

okay, back in 3e, it was possible for a necromancer to turn anything undead, including fleas, ants and flies, and then control them to deal a million necrotic damage all at once due to their size and necrotic damage dealing a fix number of hit points.

Its not above and beyond a particular wiz/alchemist to create necro-microbes. Bottle it, and throw it as an air-borne splash weapon.

If he is in it, it's another game he's ruined by his very presence, like a putrid sore on the puss-filled rear of this infested hobby.

It shows he has interest, which is all that is needed.

aren't you a little ray of sunshine

Please stop giving /pfg/ crazy ideas like that.

Nano-mites is part of the Cthulhu slaying mythic archer.

Y'know, I almost liked it better when this fagot was witch-hunting 2hu instead

Look, I agree with you that he's a shitter who needs to stop. But you're doing the cause a disservice by being this inflammatory about it. Just be more subtle or calm about it and people might actually agree with you more.

I don't like that he's witch hunting DHB. DHB actually is a positive influence on the general.

>Tags: Netorare, Mind Break

Just play a wererat.

...Comparatively speaking.

Really what has he done wrong? We whipped ourselves into a frenzy memeing his characters. Literally people are constantly going "lets bully the autistic depressed kid, we might be able to get him to kill himself".

When DHB posts I have seen him be nothing but positive despite people shitting on him.

>Ganbarimasu-on-fire.jpg

I (and apparently at least one more user now) keep saying it: Someone in here is displaying some twisted creepy love obsession is what's going on.

1: Larannus.
2: Given.
3: Strained and distant at the best of times.
4: Spiced sauerkraut over slow-cooked beef.
5: Makes all reasonable attempts to stop the trolley, unless he has a reason to want the entirety of one of the groups dead.
6: Heavy, concealing but somewhat ornate clothing. Yes. He's a minor noble, so he needs formal wear.
7: Single instrument slow ballads. Has a taste for string-bass as well.
8: Distrust in 90% of all cases.
9: Still distrust.
10: He'll be polite, often eating a small serving.
11: Rarely. Very weak wines if anything.
12: Varies.
13: Yes, but not in the way currently set out.
14: Fuck arranged marriages. Double fuck ones to an assassin who tried and failed to kill his brother. Not only is she a blight, but also incompetent.
15: Very well. Try to find the attached strings or invest it.
16: Depends on the day. Often leaning towards no.
17: Yes. Not elaborating further due to my DM sometimes browsing /pfg/.
18: "The Hell is coffee?"
19: Yes.
20: Varies.
21: He really, REALLY needs to off a few bitches.

>Name?
Gisae Cilane.

>How'd they get it?
From her parents.

>Relationship with parents?
Decent enough with her father, practically nonexistent with her mother.

>Favorite food?
Well, she's partial to meat but beyond that not very picky.

>Trolley problem?
Get in front of the trolley and try to block it herself.

>Clothing?
Whatever fits. Fashion is not her strong suit.

>Music?
She is not exactly a woman of culture.

>Flirted with?
Flattered, but casual. Entirely possible for her to put someone off by not taking it seriously enough.

>By someone unattractive?
Probably the same response.

>Bad food?
Probably eat it anyway. Why waste it?

>Drink?
A lot, whatever kind she can get.

>Praise?
Often a quick 'thanks.'

>Settling down?
Not at present.

>Reason?
She's not really thought about it. Considering the mortality rates of adventurers, this is perhaps for the best.

>Money?
Poorly. Probably either blow it all in a month or never figure out what to spend it on.

>Her job?
It's a living.

>Other plans?
Not really.

>Coffee?
If only. Maybe she'd look less hung over more of the time.

>Sweets?
Eh, sure.

>Criticism?
Well enough I guess.

>Learned about her?
She's probably really depressing to be around. Especially if you have to keep bringing her back from the brink of death.

>mfw everyone's going for these razor-sharp builds for Molthune Knights
>mfw I was going to make a Ranger with 12 Charisma literally because I wanted to be pretty

Yes Google, STOP is what I should be doing.

Could even be a Phantom Thief.

So?

It's not that he's done anything wrong, it's more like he just needs to back it down a bit. His ideas are pretty good, but they end up going some pretty dark/rapey places (hopefully) unintentionally, and it'd be better if he learned when to put the brakes on.

Not that the anons who keep shitting on him are doing any good.

user I was going to make a kobold grappler. You'll be fine.

The hell is a "razor-sharp build"?

What did you catch user?

Even if DHB deserves to live, though, does IDrive?

"razor-sharp"?
Maybe I'm just old, I don't know that expression, unless you're meaning edgelords of some sort?

What have they even done?

Nothing recently! I've been going around collecting TMs and Zygarde cells.

Of course he does? In the end he has to pick one of those characters to apply with, and it sends a really poor message to you if one of his meme characters makes the grade and yours does not!

That seems a little too rich for a common smuggler who saved the right garrison at the right time bringing in critical supplies during a siege!

Made dozens of fetish characters to drown potential good applicants in the swarm of hurr whores and derp dicks while pushing their sexual agenda on the thread and community.

I don't really see that much that's wrong with IterationDrive--apart from like one post of anecdotal evidence.

But jesus flipping shit dicks the motherfucker's made 8 characters for RotJR. That's like a sixth of the total characters submitted. The fucker really needs to calm his tits.

You know, you didn't add any extraneous fat or dangly bits, it's all smooth and clean concept built for a raw mechanical purpose using the best build suggestions this meme machine of a General can provide.

Dude, I've submitted a TWF bard. Not even a Rubato. A straight bard.

>to drown potential good applicants in the swarm of hurr whores and derp dicks while pushing their sexual agenda on the thread and community.

You do understand what will happen when applications open, right?

The DM will create a *new* application thread and tell everyone to post the character they want to play. I could build a million characters for this campaign, but come January I can only play one.

... okay that's definitely the first time I've ever heard that term indeed then.

*YES! I'M NOT SIMPLY TOO OLD!*

>he doesn't play classes that haveoptions that are both good flavor and mechanics

Leave this general and die in a pit you stupid faggot furry faggot!

How bad is 2x 2d8 at level 3?
I don't think I can get more than maybe +1 per hit damage-wise, so just assume its those flat dice.

Did you know that gladiators would go around building up their opponents, praising them and establishing them as skilled fighters who would probably win? Not only was it the polite and honorable thing to do, but it made your victories more glorious and your defeats less humiliating, because you had claimed you would most likely be losing.

The reverse makes no sense. Not only are you being a cunt, but you've set yourself up for either a victory with no meaning, since your opponent was never a threat, or an embarrassing defeat since you were so confident in your success.

>asked GM about Aerial Wings a while back for a tiefling PC
>months pass, sessions go by, only ever remember it in passing as a footnote on my character sheet
>mfw super excited because just hit level 7
>mfw realize I forgot that we never actually confirmed anything
>mfw sitting here trying to figure out how to not look like a massive tool about the whole thing

Well this is certainly awkward

Is this for a zenith?

Depends on what you're running? If you're trying to be the party dps that's kind of pitiful and I have to wonder what you're doing, but with a flat 2d8 I have to think that you're trying for something else with your build.
