First for commoragh

I still dont understand why the stormsurge is a monstrous creature

because new models get op rules to get numales to buy them and then think they're hot shit

what weapon loadouts should i run on my 2 wraithknights?

How can it be a walker if it doesn't have arms?

Sisters of Battle are a meme

a bad meme

I claim this thread for the Omnissiah. Who here can challenge me and my RT-era color scheme?

I challenge you to post pictures of your minis actually painted in that RT-era colour scheme

Like would making it a walker make it any less OP?
but the sentinel doesnt have arms.

Excellent the Archon will be pleased

Are there any general guidelines for running MSU over maxed units (or at least max that fit in a transport)?
Does it depend more on unit count and points value than anything, or is survivability and gear more of a factor?

yeah because if it was a walker it could be one shot by melta!!!!!!!

Sword and Board

nope

>op rules
>t6

so pleased that he just slits your throat and then claims the thread for himself

I just felt like posting old color schemes, user.

so it's not YOUR colour scheme is it then fucko

keep posting, I love RT

>so it's not YOUR colour scheme is it then fucko
Even if I did play the game I don't think I could do justice to these schemes that had to be the result of a Magos after finding a STC for Warp vision goggles.

It would be a super-heavy walker, so unless it has 3 hull points or you have a lot of meltaguns, it would still not be one-shot.

...

Can fearless units still decline challenges?

Anyone else see the Terminator helmet?

Yes.

More candy colored robots!
I can see now.

And this is the last I could find.

Sounds right

In what book/supplement does the Ork formation/CAD with 3 HQ slots reside? I've looked through the Codex and Waaagh Ghazghkull supp but haven't been able to find it, but I know I saw it posted here some threads ago. I'm a little new to flipping through these epubs so sorry if it's a dumb question

Here's this if anyone wanted it. Back when the Night Lords were Khorne aligned, had more moons than bats, and had moody blue.

>My favourite IG regiment are the Death Korps of Krieg

Where are the Iron Warriors, Alpha Legion, and Word Bearerers

>Not Vostroyan
How can you be a edgy numale marxist if you dont play space cossaks?

You didn't look too hard then. It's in the Ork codex.

They only listed the relevant legions

Same place as Imperial Fists, Raven Guard, and Iron Hands

>Alpha legion
>not relevant
But what if your army is actually just an entire plan of Alpharius?

the numale legions didnt exist
>DG
>paint white then wash with black
kek

The same could be asked for the Raven Guard, Iron Hands, and the Imperial Fists. I guess the they were on the next page of whatever book that pic came from.

Things you would hear a numale say about 40k. I'll start

>When are we getting female IG models?

Salamanders
>Black and Salamander Green

Dark Angels
>Black and Salamander Green

World Eaters
>Black and Salamander Green

I found it, thanks dude

...

>What The Hell Is Tau Doing Near The Maelstrom

Just invent a Cadre or whatever a largish Tau army is called, say it hit a warp storm and got teleported to the Eye of Terror or Cadia or whatever because Chaos is Fickle. Then you have plucky Tau holding off against impossible odds, cause muh powerlevel obsessives to have aneurysms and all the other stuff Tau bring but in Chaosland. Easy.

>w-why arent their black 'people' in 40k??? w-what happened to all the black 'people'???

Reminder that this was once the Sallies's color scheme.

Reposting from last thread. Other than swapping dirge casters for dozer blades, I'm pretty happy with how this did last game. C&C?

Do you guys think Archmagos Cawl will be worth running? He looks good, but I'm always wary of ~300 point characters without Eternal Warrior. I hope they make his special abilities good, or we pay ~200 points for an extra 2 toughness and wounds on a regular Dominus.

>thousands of years into the future means races of today might not be there in the future
That's my answer.

typical numale answer

Does everyone forget about the salamanders? Or maybe people forget that they can paint their models how ever they like. fucking retards with no creativity

Weren't Sallies originally actually black?

If he's T6, the only thing you usually need to worry about for Instant Death is Force Weapons, meaning melee. Other than that, you're pretty much set. Very few ranged weapons have ID effects, and you can LOS most of them or just position him in an allied Guard blob or so.

Somone asked for this yesterday and I was really bored at work today, so I present a spreasheet with all the weapons.

drive.google.com/open?id=19n-0wQDSobBz7-JPJvcCdWEpGDAKSJm20lhdXwvtFcY

no
they arent black. they are in blackface because they are wannabe ashgolems

But who doesn't want to have a Gaurdswaifu in their army?

what, your characters aren't usually 300 points without eternal warrior? weird. once you hit t6 you don't have to worry about instant death that much unless you regularly fight force weapons

Alright. Last time trying this

So I was planning a planet for 40k based on pretty much every single greek culture ever to exist basically.

>Capital is at the center of a hollowed-out super Mountain à la being Delphi. There may or may not be a rogue psyker here doing stuff and thangs
>Each of the cities is ruled by a clan or Phyle. The ten cities are named after their ruling Phyle.
>People hold Olympics every so often
>Prideful
>Philosphers of War
Etc

I haven't really thought about how I wanted the Military/PDF to be was thinking the PDF would be the equivalent of Hoplites. First sons usually inheriting the job, armor, and las or autogun. Don't know what to do with the Guard Regiments.

What I really would like feedback on is would it be a good idea to include monsters of myth like hydras. minotaurs, Cerberus etc and what not as the result of Tyranid seeding? And the more man-like creatures like the chimera or harpies the result of chaos taint? Or would that make it too hard to develop cities with Super beats roaming?

Also had the idea that "Mount Olympus" is a Mega Temple the Ecclesiarch built after telling the populace:
>"Hey you know all those gods and demigods you worshiped? Yeah, that was the Emperor. They were all the Emperor."

Which caused a war between people who wanted to convert and others who didn't. Thusly leading to bands of marauding heretics.

Does this sound good? Any suggestions? or is it shit and I should feel bad?

To be fair, the Salamanders aren't 'black' like normal black people, they are literally charcoal black, and its not as if they are all originally black, it doesn't matter what colour you where before, because your skin will turn pure black and your eyes red.

There are actual black people though, several BL novels make reference to people with dark skin colour.

Yeah, I've found that sticking my HQs in Skittles units works really well since my relics can buff them and give the units Shrouded with canticles.

Shouldnt be too much trouble since they do have to wound T6 2+ 4++?. Mostly worried about Nurgle stuff, I fight them a lot.

If the Eldar could repopulate to larger numbers, couldn't they resurrect the Eldar gods?

Have a sallie.

Interesting i thought they were black before the charcoling. Anyways the second point still stand you can paint your dudes how ever you want so why the fuck are people bitching there are no black people?

There's also those dudes that got killed by the Inquisition's "Ork snipers."

Astral Tigers? Something Tigers.

>why the fuck are people bitching there are no black people?
nobodys bitching, its the best part of the setting.

Perhaps the guard regiments are selected from the PDF based on their performance in the 'olympics' or some sort of war game?

Nurgle basically makes your toughness irrelevant: shit ton of poision and flesh bane

Celestial Lions.

Because people are dumb, user, very. very dumb.

I don't know. Probably something about their special politics topic that they can't stop bringing up even when everyone else just wants to talk about Warhammer.

I'd buy the shit out of a female Commissar though.

it isnt

unless it's a prince or GUO nurgle units don't fight well but you'll suffer a few toughness tests and be in the fight for a long time until they get smushed

no, the gods are dead and the warp is too unstable to be doing a project like that. they'd have a better chance at healing the emperor

That's it.

They were pretty coolguys(tm) too.

Eh, barring certain edgecases involving psychic powers/Grotti lowering your Toughness, you should be fine in most cases. If you're fighting Death Guard, the most notable threat will he the Auto-Havocs, vs Daemons, usually the Plague Drones/Soulgrinders.

What's the best long range anti-tank weapons for the Guard? When making my lists, I always come up with something I like that has almost everything I feel like I need, except long range good anti-tank weapons. So far the best I've come up with are Vendettas and Lascannon Heavy Weapons teams. Everything else seems liek it's 1 shot at BS3.

Lascannon HWT is about as good as it gets afaik. Deepstriking melta is generally how IG deals with armor.

Is Maelstrom of Gore and The Lost and the Damned a good start for a World Eaters army?

okay its a gargantuan creature. Still doesn't make any sense.

If I can attach my question to this one, same situation but with a Kakophoni. Is this a good start for an Emperor's Children army?

Autocannons buried in IG squads, buffed by Bring it Down!

If you don't mind bringing Ultramarines, a Librarius Conclave is hilarious if you make Tigurius your Warlord. You can join a Librarian to a unit of Conscripts making them count as a Marine unit, so Tigurius can buff that unit to have Rending shots. Add re-rolls to-hit with Prescience, and extra shots with First Rank Fire, Second Rank Fire, and collect your opponent's tears in a cup. Since he is ML 3 and can re-rolls for power generation, you also have good odds of getting Misfortune so you can Rend a second unit!

You too can bring down Metal Bawxes with Lasguns.

this guy has to be memeing..right?

Not really, Zerkers are quite overpriced. A standard Warband would serve you better. The Lost and the Damned could be fine, if you take a big blob, you could use it to escort Kharn.

It's better than the Maelstrom, as Noise Marines have a better price/value. However, the warband has ObSec and more versatility than Noise Marines. If aiming for a greater points value I'd include both (with anti-armor/assault focused warband) with some auxiliary.

just be aware that if he ends up tanking shooting attacks his majority toughness will be that of the unit, meaning your T6 badass is getting wounded as if he was T3. it's the same problem that primarchs have when they join terminator bodyguard units in Horus Heresy - often the "bodyguards" actually end up getting their daddy hurt more if you're not careful about model positioning.

the same also applies in close combat if you're not in a challenge (and against that guy there's a good chance they'll decline), so it's sometimes wise to have a character leave the unit before a charge as long as you're sure both the character and unit aren't going to fail the roll.

obviously you have Look Out Sir! to help you out in both cases, but it's still pretty annoying to have to deal with and it's important to keep in mind when you have an IC with dramatically higher toughness than the unit he's rolling with.

Could be fun. Autocannons are good yes, I like those.

I think I'll go the deepstriking melta route since I have the models for it.

Why are possessed bad? Also does the "The Tormented" make them good enough to take?

Yeah, it's that power Necrosius has that worries me. Focussed Witchfire, S3 AP2 Fleshbane ID.
I guess I have to hope I can make one invulnerable save, and a 4++ isn't that reliable.

Yeah, at least Skitarii either do surprisingly well in melee thanks to S5 Taser and -1T, or they get mullered quickly and I can shoot the offending unit.

Normally it's a mix, so both of those plus a FW Blight Drone.
There will be War Convocation next time if he keeps bringing the Vraks Unending Host, though, so hopefully I have the firepower to take them down.

I did not think of that. I suppose I could have him roll with Kataphron Destroyers, which are still T5, but I don't really want to be LoSing to them since they're expensive, powerful and squishy. If he had Patris Cybernetica he'd hang with Kastelans, but this isn't 30k.

Thoughts on this? Not really sure what I'm doing as this is my first list. How is it for a start?

I'd say move the terminators out for a set of assaults. Maybe cut one of the rhinos to see if you can fit another assault after that.

You can still Look Out, Sir! against Focused Witchfires, on a 2+ since he's an IC. You have your 4++ on top of that, and he needs to succeed on at least WC+1 dice to actually single you out. Note that he doesn't actually have a Spell Familiar either.

i recommend that you take heavy flamer sponsons rather than heavy bolters. and when building it dont glue on the twin linked assault cannon so you can switch between it as the flamer varient when you need it.

People don't like Abbadon much, so who should be the Warmaster of Chaos, Veeky Forums?
strawpoll.me/11944287

your captain doesn't really need melta bombs, that hammer and chainfist will destroy any vehicles.

I don't think you're allowed a missile launcher AND an assault cannon on the terminators, and you won't need more than one chainfist in a squad.

I'd go heavy flamer and then melta + combi-melta on both squads, you can combat squad them and have them fire at different targets.

Other than that it's not a bad list.

What did i do wrong Veeky Forums

>heavy flamer sponsons
Ew, you don't actually want your predator to get close to the enemy, do you?

>captcha
>please pick all images that feel romantic
??????????????

Is it possible to make Ogryns viable by using them to hide characters with better saves and lesser toughness?

The only things that are coming to mind immediately are the T3 2+ of the Malleus terminator and Tech-Priest Dominus.

I heard Kharn is a hell of a guy...

>Why are possessed bad?

Because they're completely dependent on their random rules to do well at the one job they have, and you pay a premium for the unit. If Possessed roll poorly when they get into combat, you'd be better off with any other unit that cost the same amount of points, and if Possessed roll well, they'll do their job about as well as the other assault specialist units in the codex. Compare AP3 Possessed to Warp Talons, for instance.

>Also does the "The Tormented" make them good enough to take?

Yes. The Tormented and Chosen of Chaos give a reason why you would take Possessed over anything else. Chosen of Chaos even rewards good decisions and positioning with the Prince.

Bullgryns? Yeah.

It's pretty standard to run them with a priest and a psyker.
