>live in a small apartment by self, rent paid by parents
>work at a public library in a third world country, salary is equivalent to 600 dollars
>current savings: -100 dollars
>graduaded art school
>do freelance illustration to gain some bucks here and there

Literally what could I do? I want to get some money in 2018.

How do people even afford cars and shit like that? I'm lucky to save the whole week so I can get out to a restaurant. The greatest ammount of money I could save was like 2000 dollars and that went away after some months of unemployment. I don't have anyone to cook for me, so when I get tired of working my money goes into ordering food and other luxuries. I don't know how to organize my financial life. If my parents die, I'd literally go homeless. I know this board is all about crypto currency and whatever, I've never invested in anything, you guys are in a whole other level I suppose, but what do you advise?

come dick girl. Sell body of work

if you're talented, make a Patreon page and post your artwork there. You can get lucky. Also check sites like Redbubble. This way you can get some extra bucks. Crypto, it's a medium to long business, don't try day trading or you will get mad like the humming guy in that Dicaprio movie.

>third world country
>salary is equivalent to 600 dollars
clearly not a 3rd world

>and that went away after some months of unemployment.
well don't get unemployed, faggot

>my money goes into ordering food and other luxuries.

how hard it is to cook some fucking eggs

get rid of your manchild habits, get a steady job to pay your bills, meanwhile work on yourself to get a better job.

if you have some savings left - accumulate crypto.

Git gud scrub. Lets be real, your illustration probably isn't great, otherwise you'd be making a decent living. So either you git gud, or you learn UI/UX design, or VFX, or any number of related skills that are extremely high in demand in studios right now. Get a job, put your salary to crypto, make gains on the side. Ezpz.
Except it actually means you have to do some work, technically double the work if you include researching crypto in your own time.

>get paid to live by yourself
>get laid to go to school
So you’re basically already living better than most people here, what are you even complaining?

Learn to tattoo

>How do people even afford cars and shit like that?

what, have you never heard of car payments?
do you think people come to car dealership with 100k in cash and buy bigass SUV's

>I don't have anyone to cook for me, so when I get tired of working my money goes into ordering food
WTF user. Are your some kind of /pol/tard who think cooking is a women activity or what?

apparently some people think that you need a PhD to cook

OK OP, I will give you some real advice.

Go on fiverr.com, upwork, and similar sites. Figure out some niche of work that you can do (illustration is a great one) and crank it out.

You will find a lot of money (relatively speaking) for doing simple work online that rich normies don't want to fucking do.

How do I know? Because I've paid people $5/hour to organize my Google Contacts and shit or to do simple research for me and write up a report because I couldn't be arsed to do it.

The majority of the world survives on less than $10/day and the world is becoming more and more internet connected.

Thanks for the support user. I was thinking of opening a Patreon page, but I'm really small fish, so I don't know how long it will take.

>clearly not a 3rd world
I was half-joking to be honest. But really people have no idea how fluid that is, I live in a big town, things are expensive and the salaries are higher, but I do live in a shit country.

You're right about getting rid of manchild habits, I really need to review my whole life. Any tips on how to "work myself to get a better job"? Because that's exactly my plan. I work in this library since 2015 and I don't intend to stay there by the end of next year.

>if you have some savings left
I literally end up with zero or a little more or a little less each month for the past four years. :(

thx m8

You're right I'm not even that good, though I have some skills with webdesign, motion design and shit like that, I'll take your advice to try and adapt my skills to the market.

>technically double the work if you include researching crypto in your own time.
That kind of thing turns me off completely, even before crypto, I don't understand much of economics. To someone who is coming from the outside, all the information I receive is extremely suspicious. Every user, every website has their own theory on what is a great investment to make, for those who are into it for some time, they can tell bullshit from truth, but I can't. It really is a bigger ammount of work to research this than you'd think.

Thanks bro

Yeah, I'm privileged as fuck and don't regret going to art school or anything. It's just that real life is calling me, I can't plan things right because I have no savings, so I can't even invest in my own work, neither can I dream of a big trip for example. Things are working, but I have no security whatsoever. My parents are getting old, my brother is unemployed and living with them. I need to get ready.

I get where your advice is coming from, but I have to disagree. Fiverr and Upwork are what's killing the industry, the pajeets undersell their work to such a degree that even if you're good, you're basically going to be working at a loss. Undercutting doesn't just hurt you as an artist, but the industry in general. Working for $5/hour if you're worth $50/hour is ridiculous, because those hours could be spent working on your own projects to attract higher-end clients. This sort of thing can only work for hobbyists and the truly low-tier.

The best thing you can do is, when you can, get Bitcoin and treat it as your savings account, and invest in yourself. Good luck user!

>Any tips on how to "work myself to get a better job"?

free online courses on Coursera, Edx and crap like that. Get generic economics course, some art and design courses for your additional income.

Check out what possible good jobs you can have, find out what you're missing in terms of skills and check corresponding courses.

Finish courses and go to the interview. Repeat a few times and you'll get a job.

Definitely not. I mean, I could be good at it because my style fits, but literally 6 out of 10 illustrators I know are tattoo artists and only 2 of them actually make a living out of it. It's a fantastic market, but it's also saturated with artists who are much better and more experienced than I do. I'd have to be dead certain of that career to go that way.

Course not, but I don't even have 10K. I don't even have a way in sight to pay for a car in the following years. That's what I mean.

I'm not a /pol/tard, I was messing with that precisely. I don't know this board, so maybe some people have enough money to have someone do their cleaning and cooking for them. It was just to give context that a big part of my time goes into taking care of my house and when I get home tired as fuck I neglect that and go for the easy but expensive ordering out.

Thank you for the advice, user. I'm really lost and something little like that already helps me out a lot. I'll look into those websites, I honestly didn't know them.

I can manage databases, create simple websites, do illustrations, edit videos, edit photos... But I learned to do this all by myself and somehow I feel I'm not good enough or know how people charge for it. I miss opportunities because I'm lonely and never hear about them. Wasted potential feelings, idk.

Thanks

It was hard at first, but you'll get to the point where you'll be swimming with works and you don't even to bother with updating portfolio again if you focus on your market.
Investing in crypto is not that bad, at very least if you play it save your savings will increase steadily.
In case everything doesn't go according to plan you can be porn artist as last resort.

Where you from?

How do you spend 600 bucks a month in a third world country when your rent is being paid for?

>I don't know this board, so maybe some people have enough money to have someone do their cleaning and cooking for them
Not even rich people have that, unless we're talking about "I own several houses on the hills" levels of rich.
You seem to have a warped perception of how people with just a bit of money live.

Not being shackled by debt doesn't mean you live like an oil sheik, it means you live like a normal person.

Hey OP, make accounts on 500px, pixabay (free ones) try to get in shutterstock, instagram, facebook, tumblr, vectorstock etc etc etc. Watermark your shit if possible. Drop all your links if possible. Build a website. Brand yourself.
Post the shit that you creat there. And receive royalties and receive new jobs.

>when I get tired of working my money goes into ordering food and other luxuries
you fucked up right there

Unironically draw furry porn and sell it for 250 dollars a piece

Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

What a faggot

can OP answer this fucking question? seriously, how the FUCK? what country are you from? i assume that's more or less minimum wage, but still you dont have to pay fucking rent yet youre complaining that you dont have any left? can you fucking list down your expenses so we can easily point out where you fucked up? honestly that shit is triggering me so hard, if you are earning above minimum wage then you are just a full blown retard.
