I think dragongirl is going to ruin the most fun, obviously.

Also, does this look more "silver dragon" to you? I kind of miss the gothic loli.

Would you stop making OPs that try to rile of hatred against people, for fucksake.

Degeneracy I can deal with, but promoting hatred and witch hunts is just fucking cancer.

please place yourself into a coma

The last one was still on page FOUR.

FOUR.

>feeling like making a non caster that dips into like 4 different PrCs
If you had to mash together 4 PrCs to at least kinda work together which would you choose?

My last build was Alchemist/Brewmaster/Master Chymist. I want to go farther this time.

I'm thinking possible Ranger/Horizon Walker/Shadow Dancer

I need two more for the second one.

>well-made characters will get ignored in favour of meme characters because shitposting about the latter is easier

>Who's more toxic and likely to ruin everyone's fun in Molthune, Staypuft or 2hu?
SP is easily the bigger dipshit, but he has 0% chance of ruining everyone's fun because he will never, ever be accepted

1/2
I'm just going to run the risk of looking like a fool and assume it's the latter then.

Anyway, I finally figured out what I'm going to do for , it'll consist of a variety of DC-based challenges that the players will have the opportunity to partake in that will test their characters on everything and anything, from their CMD to their Climb checks. They list as follows:
CMB: wrestling a greased pig in 30 seconds, grease gives the pig a high but eroding save to its CMB each round as it sloughs off every round.
Fortitude: Classic drinking contest, only this isn't booze but straight up magically laced drinks. You get fixed after it's over but you have to last a full minute's worth of saves with 3 stages of sleep and worsening DCs if you fail each one in succession.
Range: Self explanatory, your standard "hit the bullseye" schtick.
Performance: The vendor is using magic tricks to enchant the audience, you need to rock that much harder to get them to love you more!
Damage (instead of just melee in general, that's for the grand finale): You're given an axe and a pile of wood, and are assumed to hit every time. Tally up your damage chopping wood for a minute to see how well you do.
AC/Reflex: There's a series of rotating bars with paint brushes on them, your job is to move through them with as few hits as possible. If a brush beats your AC you have the option of making a reflex that beats its "attack" roll to dodge it, but be warned, trying to blitz through it means that every bar gets an AOO on you for free.
Knowledges: A stack of books is given to you for reference on things you're not intimately familiar with (book gives you +2 and the ability to use the knowledge untrained), you're given a minute to answer as many questions about various topics as possible before the time runs out.
Perception: Spot the difference! Characters are given a series of images and players must roll to see how well they can see the difference between the two images.

What's your character's quirk? There should be some little thing that drives them besides the search for bigger damage numbers.

Which meme character do you think is poorly made?

Name names, user. Who are the meme characters?

Yours.

Sorry were the only thread here that's popular. Go back to the dead warhammer threads.

Diplomacy: Convince the judge your side is right! You and a pre-appointed opponent are given a topic to discuss and it's up to you to give a compelling argument for your side of the conversation.
Spellcraft: A series of objects are hidden underneath cloths, as each one is unveiled it's your job to identify the object in the allotted time.
Climb/Swim/Acrobatics: Obstacle course! A series of checks, it's your character's job to power their way through an obstacle course that challenges the body to its limit.
Craft/Profession: You're given 10 minutes to craft something related to your preferred craft or profession check. If you don't have one come up with one that makes sense for your character to have, like making arrows for an archer.
Disable Device/Sleight of Hand: You're trapped in a box that's rigged to "explode" in less than a minute! Your task is to unchain the cuffs you're bound in and disable the bomb before unlocking the door keeping you inside the box.

If I've missed any that you think I should have feel free to add them.

Is there a list of ability expectations that a party should be able to meet based on level?
Stuff like
>By level X you need to have a way of attacking flying creatures
>By level Y you need to be able to bypass DR/magic and attack ethereal things
>By level Z you need to have a way to deal with invisible enemies

And so on?

Go on.

So a Range 10/Horizon Walker 10 is actually really terrifying in his main favorite terrain.

If we're talking about an Urban one he now has +22 to attack and damage to anyone native to an urban environment, which is essentially all humanoids.

An Urban Horizon Walker 10 /Warden Ranger 10 has a +44 to perception against anything native to his favored terrain. How the fuck are you supposed to hide from that?

tfw you realize after sleeping on it that your character is very mediocre and not that interesting

By being a small invisible creature and staying still for a +44 bonus to stealth even if you had 10 dex and no ranks in it.

If something COULD hide from a fucking 20th level character specialized ENTIRELY on tracking specific targets in specific terrain WHILE IN THAT TERRAIN then I'd say that shit is totally busted. The absolute pinnacle of terrain specialists at the maximum level should NOT be hideable from in that fucking terrain, full-stop.

>flying creatures
If you have a competent group, this isn't a problem. A ranger, mage, or whatever can attack or CC them, and if you do it right you can easily get them in melee range. This is a class thing more than a level one.

>Bypass DR/magic and ethereal
Bypassing magic isn't terribly hard, since it only really requires a +1 weapon. So its more whenever they get there. Ethereal is somewhat harder, since you need ghost touch or something specific like that. Probably mid level stuff.

>way to deal with invisible enemies
You can get these from first level with proper prep. Even mundane things can help with this, like a pouch of sand.

Its all about how you get them, rather than when you should.

Ethereal shit you still just need magic weapons. Incorporeal things just take half damage from them, you can still beat them down.

They get annoying when they're hanging out in floors or walls for that 50% miss chance too, but you know.

Those are all just examples off the top of my head, user.

I'm more wondering if there's a specific table made for this by checking the abilities of monsters at each CR, since I've noticed that it's a sort of idea that's built into a lot of 1pp and 3pp class design.
A lot of class talents say 'You now can counter this thing, you must be at least Xth level to take it' - so some vague idea of a standard must exist.

>immortal shota trap
>hobgoblin of 100 children
>siscon duo-app
Basically anything that /pfg/ can't shut up about

Likely their full bonus would be somewhere between +80 and +90 depending on their wisdom and other misc. bonuses.

Why does 2hu think you can get a fort of veterans to defect/surrender just because an inspiring speech?

If it worked that way, then how come we still had sieges in history?

>hobgoblin of 100 children
>siscon duo-app
/pfg/ likes these two, they're popular.

>immortal shota trap
This is 2hu's character, he's a shitter, everyone hates this one.

A diminutive creature standing still with ~40 dex while invisible will have more. He'll have about +100 to stealth. It'll drop if he decides to move however. Also if the Horizon Walker has see invisibility they're screwed.

Because it works that way in anime.

Fine creature +16
Invisibility +40
Dex 20 or something: +5
Maybe 10 ranks in stealth with class skill: +13
Skill focus: +6
+10 item of stealth: +10

Total: +80
And this is just a level 10 character

Moving isn't well defined: does your stealth drop if you wave your invisible arms or do you actually have to move 5ft+ on the grid?
If the latter you can just teleport around.

So guys; If I have a gliding speed, and Leaping Dragon as the maneuver, can I simply swift action jump straight up into the air and use my glide speed to charge?

How would a playable race get 40 Dex though?

True as this is, you still need force or ghost touch stuff to really lay into them. Its not particularly necessary, but its a quality of life thing that can't be ignored.

Its less that there is a standard, and more that there's a quality of life shift at that point. Almost everything can be effectively dealt with early on, if you build right. Its less about when can or should you, and more if you have that level of imagination and preparatory knowledge.

As an example, my monk got a ring of force shield in 3.5. my GM probably never intended it for this, but i used it to smack the shit out of a pudding to avoid damage to myself, and had planned to smack ghosts with it for a long while. Its all about making clever use of things, not so much having a catch-all ability.

The more ingenuitive your players are, the less those level standards would matter, basically.

Linguistics +27 before buffs man.

Can't be fine sized a a PC, and +10 dex items aren't standard. +5 are. Diminutive is the smallest size as a PC.

You know you can Instant Enemy someone into getting the full bonuses to hit and damage from HW's features, right?

You can use Leaping Dragon to charge anyway.
giantitp.com/forums/showsinglepost.php?p=21513634&postcount=15

Adding a glide speed actually makes it more complicated since I'm not sure if it's said how gliding interacts with your maximum movement in a round.

What is the miscellaneous +16?

depends if the maneuver (I haven't read it) allows you to go straight up, and whether you need things like a specific altitude (you'll need to reach it) or a running start (you don't have that doing this) or if there's any specific movements or preparation required first that you will have broken by doing it this way.

It's possible, just don't be surprised if you can't.

Oh, that's definitely more tolerable. I was just thinking about using it for positioning until I get a proper fly speed.

You have a good GM for allowing that stuff, but you'd be shocked how many people I've talked to who have said stuff like 'no, throwing flour or using create water to detect invisible creatures shouldn't be allowed because that invalidates the See Invisibility spell which is higher level'

Whoops, I don't mean charge as in giving charge bonuses, I meant it lets you pseudo-pounce.

But I think that's what you thought I meant anyway.

I dunno, ask 2hu.

Do you get that level spell as only Ranger 10? I'm mobile, isn't Instant Enemy a lategamer thing on Ranger progression?

+3 from parrot
+3 from skill focus
+4 from Fey Obedience
The other +6? I'm unsure.

I'm also missing +5 on all the knowledge skills. I'm unsure where they're coming from.

Its less that i have a good GM, and you have shit ones. Rule it so they still have a miss chance, even if i know they are there. It just works like displacement at that point, or blur. See invisibility lets you make out EVERYTHING. It doesn't just let you know their general location.

Seriously, if a GM doesn't allow such a mundane idea as throwing fucking sand, slap them across the face and call them retarded.

>Say I want to be a dual wielder
>mfw its an iron gods game
>mfw all my money is now in two nonmagical adamantine weapons, because hardness kept fucking us
>mfw since getting them, there's been maybe two robot enemies in a dozen encounters
>mfw I can't afford anything else, and get the shit kicked out of me unless I carefully ration out buff items

I feel I have made a poor choice, but maybe it'll all level off down the road.

+5 Visualization of the Mind
+1 Ioun Stone
?

Then there's, like, +2 from Tears to Wine and +10 from Knowledge Pendant.

Think he can have like Linguistics +39 1/day.

+1 to Linguistics from her Ioun Stone.

I'm not seeing where a +5 bonus to all int checks is coming from.

That sounds like your GM is intentionally avoiding your strengths and preparations. I'd call him on his shit.

>spamming your shitty poll in the Roll20 app
Get a load of this stupid faggot.

Yeah, basically. It seems like it'd be very useful for a two weapon fighting build reliant on full attacks.

As that the character is using blood money for.

I considered that for my character and thought that blood money was TOO degenerate to even consider.

It doesn't even have everyone on it.

So do you guys know what guy is who constantly tries to kick up drama?

Is it really worse than a Lore Oracle?

Like, a Lore Oracle can have EVEN HIGHER Knowledges and a 1/day Diplomacy...

>tfw looking at 2hu's app makes me twitchy about not being good enough of a skill monkey
>tfw toned down this character quite a lot
>tfw now considering blood money/visualization of the mind/deific obedience/fey obedience/other bullshit

I know I can get higher if I really wanted to, but I don't know at this point.

Don't. No one needs that much power. Stick to making things fun.

What are you talking about? Generally Blood Money abuse is considered really degenerate.

starting to feel like the asshole deserves a good doxxing.

Don't go down that path. The autistic minmaxers won't get in anyways, so just make a consistent and compelling character.

GM allowed Blood Money.
2hu's character isn't more offensive than a Lore Oracle. Have you seen the skill monkey shit Lore Oracles can pull?

Any material regarding base building, castle building, running small settlements? I'm in the mood for comfy cozy management.

Stuff like building new rooms, supply management, interacting with merchants and stuff.

Please tell me what you're actually referring to from Lore Oracle in this instance. The problem is Blood Money/Fey Obedience for a +9 untyped bonus to all int skills. Lore Oracle can get Cha to Knowledges, but what else?

isn't that infinite money though?
I know it's purely to replace costly material components (though eventually fabricate) but it's stat damage not drain; you basically sleep it off. Seems a bit much to do that during character creation.... but what does a level 3 character do with it anywayas?

d20pfsrd.com/classes/base-classes/oracle/mysteries/paizo---oracle-mysteries/lore

Focused Trance (Ex): You can enter a deep meditation, blocking out visual and auditory stimuli and allowing you to concentrate on a single problem, philosophical issue, or memory. This trance lasts 1d6 rounds, during which time you can only take move actions. During this period, you gain a bonus equal to your level on all saves against sonic effects and gaze attacks. When you come out of your trance, you may make a single Intelligence-based skill check with a +20 circumstance bonus. You may enter your focused trance a number of times per day equal to your Charisma modifier.

This shit right here.

Are you Arehera?

Cut out the stupid kitsune waifu bullshit.

It's how Fire Emblem works, so it works for this game.

The issue is with that you can't use that for anything that is timely because you need to enter the trance.

While this doesn't seem like a big issue it isn't as if you could use it for Orating Linguistics or any knowledge skill in combat. Though I admit it's pretty good. It's also a limited number of times per day while the other stacks.

Also there is nothing stopping a lore oracle from also abusing blood money. Blood money is a bad spell to allow no matter what.

Do you really need to make more than 4 or 5 knowledge checks a day?

You don't, which is why Focused Trance is kickass.

I think you guy are underestimating what Linguistics +39 with ROLL TWICE AND TAKE HIGHER can do.

That's some jedi mind trick shit right there, you can convince people to stand down.

No I'm saying it's good. I am not denying that.

However Visualization of the Mind/Body and Blood Money should not be allowed.

Or blood money at all, blood money is the problem here. Because the game breaks down very quickly when blood money is in play.

Or rather, he'd have to make different consecutive checks for the Bluff, the Diplo, the Intimidate, the Diplo again, the Intimidate again, but he'd have like +29 all the time because loltearstowine and he'd still have the ROLL TWICE AND TAKE HIGHER.

It doesn't work for entire forts, just specific people. You can generally tell who they are due to their prettiness or uniqueness.

Too fucking bad. GM is sucking 2hu's dick hard and allowing Blood Money.

Fuck the GM up the ass. I bet he won't even take N. Jolly's official endorsement for Diana and Alastor.

NToRacle did +55 to Diplomacy once a day and he didn't pull that bullshit.

Actually only specific individuals could convince specific other individuals in FE.

So it would be more "you spot your cousin or old friend and manage to corner him alone along the wall", and sometimes it takes a few tries.

Although my favorite example of a convince was probably in old SRW, where the Giganscudo's pilot falls hard for one of the enemy pilot girls... If you use him to destroy her on a specific stage, he'll kidnap the escape pod and she'll join you afterwards.

The thing with NToRacle is he can be shut down by the GM saying "Okay now make another check, you can't just do this with one check."

2hu busts the game because he always has AT LEAST +27 all the time. Even if he gets called to make checks in a row he'll still pass them all. He has, like, d20 rerolls.

You're assuming he accepts 2hu.

Honestly however the fact that it is allowed means likely if I get in I'll use it. There is no reason not to. Why pay for anything if I simply don't have to?

how sad is it that some people don't just spend their night on an internet message board, but can only derive pleasure from trying to stir up a shitstorm in the place?

you could be masturbating to watching paint dry and it would be more fulfilling than what you spend your evening on in here.

but if they all dump cha, how can you know???

If he accepts 2hu, we fucking riot.

Linguistics can't really do anything though, right?

I mean, and? You riot. You have no power over him. Nothing happens.

Eh
By now I'm sure Pathfinder has feats in some forsaken book that lets you apply linquistics to even melee damage or something
Who knows

All the fact that blood money is around really means to me is that I'm going to use it. It does trip a red flag for me that the GM is allowing it with no caveats besides "don't do it with magic jar" as Blood Money destroys the game.

Even a relatively weak character now need not work for any spell costing less than 10kgp.

he gets linguistics to diplomacy and bluff

Time to redo my character again.

And Intimidate.

>shota trap has bigger Intimidate than badass warder

Why is this allowed?

can SOMEONE explain to me what blood money fucking does?

All I'm seeing on it is that it lets you replace spell components during the casting by taking strength damage.

>N. Jolly's official endorsement for Diana and Alastor.
This is a stupid meme and you're a piece of shit for trying to push it.

Because everything is allowed, nothing is forbidden
Un-restricted Pathfinder at this point is like legacy MTG

related question, then.

as PF's social rules suck, what's the best alternative you've ever seen? some new subsystem to pace over it, or ignoring social entirely?

>Shota trap has a higher intimidate than hobgoblin clan, entire clan combined
>Shota trap has more intimidate than A FUCKING DRAGON

Autismal powergaming shit like this is why i'll never play with /pfg/. That and some other reasons - but god, I don't really wanna try and keep up with people who do this sorta shit. It's not fun, it's work to me.

There are plenty of good non-powergamed apps, user. Aforementioned dragon is generally considered a tier 3 class, not even tier 1.

This is why I may switch from a Exposed Warlock Vigilante to a Conspirator Empiricist Investigator. That and it actually fits the character better. However the only real issue with this is the character may have to now be a melee fighter, which is much more feat heavy if I want to be dex.

I know, but when you have the people who just go all out like 2hu. When I make a character, I want it to feel like I could evenly contribute. How do you try to 'evenly contribute' when someone like that is in the game though without working your ass off and scrounging out every last bonus or strength you can?
