Does anyone have that picture from weeks ago of that black custodes? Black as in armour not skin.
Chase Rodriguez
I'm 95 short of 2000. Any advice? Also,, it sure if my scouts should have CCW instead of the bolter.
Night Lords Recon
Praetor Paragon Blade Jump Pack, Halo, Lasers Fear
Centurion Vigilator Jump Pack
Apothecary AA, Jump Pack
Three squads: Recon Squad x10 Scout Armor AA
Assault Marines x15 3 Power Axes Lightning Claws AA Sgt
Terror Squad x10 Volkite x10 AA and Glaive
Zachary Cruz
5 more assault marines with a power weapon?
Ryan Watson
Not finished yet, I'll post one up later, can't access Battlescribe for accurate points right this second
Generally, Delegatus plonking in with 7 DeathShroud in a Spartan, 3-4 squads of Vets in Rhinos armed with either Flamers, Melta or Plasma, and a support squad with melta too.
Left over points will go on Vindicator squadrons/quad mortars or a Venator
Josiah Phillips
Crysos Mortug
Contemptor-Cortus w/ DCCW and Chainfist
4-man Deathshroud Terminator Squad
10-man Breacher Squad w/ 2 Flamers (Sarge has AA, Power Scythe, and Melta bombs)
5-man Grave Warden Terminator Squad w/ 1 Chainfist (Sarge has Power Scythe).
Chase Bell
Fuck, I forgot to add the Contemptor with PF+CF, Dual Plasma blaster, and Dread Claw.
Would 5 assault Marines be good?
Juan Taylor
Ok, Death Guard, 2495/2500 Primarch's Chosen (rather than potl)

Elite 3x Quad Launchers (shatter shells) – 210
Troops 10 man Vet - 240 2x Flamers Sarge – Artificer and Combi Weapon Rhino + Dozer
10 man Vet - 250 2x Plasma Sarge – Artificer and Combi Weapon Rhino + Dozer

5 man Support – 215 Plasma Rhino + Dozer
Heavy Support
Spartan - 375 Flare Shields, AC, Dozer
2 Vindicators - 240
Joshua Martin
Question. Did we ever get a concrete answer on whether a Dominus with a Machinator Array can Battlesmith+Cybertheurgy, and can a Magos Reductor with the same cast his Master of Destruction power and Battlesmith?
Landon Wilson
vindicators without machine spirit? what the fuck are you doing my man?
Brody Harris
12th for most fabulous legion
Jeremiah Phillips
Wow, amazing.
Kevin Nelson
>Not EC Come on now, they're litteraly the faggot/fabulous legion
Julian Phillips
15 is an in between number. Might as well make it 20 if you got the points. Go big or go home.
Nicholas Brown
hey ya dont talk shit about sexual fulgrim and his legion
Christopher Robinson
what do u ppl think about this palatine blade scheme?
Ryan Ortiz
>fw, wat are u doing? >fw, staph
Christian Brooks
Knowing the 1kS, it's not faggotry motivating that posing, it's Chrischan style autism.
Or the flesh change twisting their bodies in unimaginably painful ways that defy the laws of biology.[spoiler/]
Anthony Bennett
For the XIX!
Dylan Cruz
It's ok. I feel it doesn't go far enough one way or the other. Either the only steel part should be the left arm, or everything should be steel, save perhaps the purple of the pauldrons and the helmet.
Did you get that straight from a book or did you colour it in? Is there some kind of special programme to do that?
Nathan Flores
Sorry, I've been working on my stuff and got carried away. Will reply as soon as I finish a smoke.
Henry Rogers
Looks quite solid. If this is for Zone Mortalis, judging by one Troop, I'd hate to face you simply out of your defensive capabilities. Also no flamers for the dread?
Although Mortarion+Deathshroud/Spartan offers a good two way death, you lack numbers and survivability for your other stuff. One way to make up for it is to drop the Deathshroud to 5 at most and ride them in a Land Raider.
Not taking the optimal choice is not doing it wrong.
Nice work as always. I still hate the way the contemptor's legs are posed, so reworking a pair of my own.
What about them? Your best bet is BaC book as I don't think they feature much in any of the Word Bearers fluff sections in FW books.
Robert Thomas
Hey anons, can you tell me about the Twisting Rune Word Bearers chapter from BaC? I feel like making both an Ultramarines and Word Bearer army that'd be themed around fighting on Calth, and I want to know more about who fought there.
Deleted my previous comment, accudentally linked to user's as well as not posting enough detail.
Good point though, I can check the BaC book when I get home.
Joseph Ward
No problem. If you want to know more, check Tempest, the book's all about the Battle for Calth. There's also a pair of special characters in there, Zardu Layak and Hol Beloth. Oh and Remus Ventanus and Temechron dread for the Ultramarines.
Aiden James
anyone know which heresy book has warhound scout titans? or if they can be taken as LOW for a Heresy list? thanks
Mason Price
Mechanicum red book and I believe book 6 has the most up to date rules.
Charles Wright
Theres tzeentch fuckery afoot
Im putting my money on a magnus preview
Jaxon Garcia
Not him, but book.
Cameron Garcia
I'm not sure about anything anymore. There are three different models in three days on the same jigsaw.
Noah James
Which is better for librarians: force mauls or force swords? I'm thinking possibly the force maul because S6 Instant Death is better than S4 Instant Death, against 2+ characters, even if it all relies on luck.
An axe is a better compromise than mixing an initiative-level weapon with a solarite gauntlet, isn't it? I like the aesthetic of two-weapon characters, plus I would like to see the look on an enemy's face when their praetor gets KO'd before getting to deal any attacks, by a mere centurion, without undercutting their abilities in more mundane tasks.
Also, feel free to share opinions on librarians in general. I'm not running mine for WAAC, more for variety and muh dudes' fluff. And for Divination shenanigans, if I'm being honest. 30k still has primaris powers, right?
Dominic Allen
thank you based user
Justin Allen
Personally I like force swords more because 30k is 40k-but-even-more-marines-variant.
I really want to start fielding a Librarian with my AL. But since telepathy seems the most fitting for an AL libby and invisibility being what it is I'm not sure I should.
>different models in the jigsaw pieces confusing people
>Alpharius confirmed. I hadn't even considered they'd be releasing another[spoiler/] model for him, better guess than Magnus IMO, since we know he has "scales". But the axe and the circular shield thing in the middle suggest some kind of Chaos/Dark Mechanicum thing more to me.
Jason Ortiz
I'd be happy with either him or Exodus.
Liam Wilson
The Palatine Blades color scheme isn't standardized. Any amount of platinum mixed into the purple and gold is indication of being part of them.
Leo Rivera
Someone at FW has been practicing. Is that Sotek Green?
Gavin Harris
Nah, seems like someome at FW is trolling with photoshop.
In the big picture they're all regular UM blue, and then in the individual shots they turn greenish. I say photoshop because the base looks exactly the same, so it doesn't seem to be different lights.
Nolan Flores
>My sword is too small >My sword >is too small
>Also, why the fuck do I have a gunport and a sword? >Fuck I'm stoned.
Elijah Hill
Hello Anons, Inferno pushed back again? Any dates? Left good old HHG waiting for the release.
Camden Campbell
It's been cancelled due to lack of interest
Jason Gonzalez
Don't be daft. They both look like they've been airbrush-painted (the source of that shimmering gradual variation in shade), and since painting is all about optical illusions, it makes total sense that the colour would look different at range.
Evan Martin
that blue is dark. it wouldn't just turn into cyan on closeups.
Henry Morgan
Open day is on February fourth, early copies will be available at that time.
Luis Morales
And scans soon afterwards?
Ayden Cruz
It's for forming ranks and stabbing through. Y'know, with a tiny gladius. First among equals and all that.
Jonathan Thomas
Could have something this January at the Warhammer World open day. According to their page we could get
>First Access to Forge World products before general release
Aaron Nguyen
...
Connor Wright
>tfw you can't put the awesome intro riff that starts immediately afterwards into words
Tyler Taylor
No scans have been promised yet, but an user said he would be taking high quality pics immediately.
Elijah Torres
I'm hoping for a Magnus reveal.
Aaron Powell
I have this.
Jose Phillips
Why would you lie? It's the Bangles.
Aiden Edwards
Gonna call it a day since I cut myself badly. It's been a nice experience so far, learned a few things, hopefully tomorrow I get to unleash green stuff and some bitz on this bad boy.
Joshua Gomez
Solid work sir, lookin good, but don't fret on the cut. The Hobby Gods demand occasional tribute for their gifts.
Jace Baker
Obviosly aos id say. Lool at the shape of that axe
Kevin Miller
...
Luke Richardson
look at the other bits, they dont match up you idiot
Aiden Johnson
Its more than one model, yes its that big axe guy but the other pics are in different quality and are clearly not part of the same picture. There's at least another model thats been revealed and Im willing to say this will reveal 3 models.
Nicholas King
Thanks, it will look better once based. The dakka will be swapped to the left arm, I'm afraid to cut it off right now. As to the cutting tools, got any advice? I only have a razor knife and an oversized saw. The knife passed straight through the dread's knee joint and into my finger once I pressed it. Though I agree on the sacrifice. In return, we get to huff on glue fumes.
Also the jigsaw will take 9 days to complete. I expect Magnus.
Nathaniel Hill
If you're Recon Company NL user from last thread; the Raptors/Assault Marines get 5+ from From the Shadows, +2 from Recon Shrouded, and +1 for Stealth from the Vigilator. 2+. You can get the first turn 2+ on your whole army as Stealth can also come from just general Night Fighting, it's just guaranteed on the Vigilator's unit.
Michael Robinson
How much would you personally object to someone using the Plasma Blasters from the plastic Tartaros set on regular armored marines as Plasmaguns?
Jackson Carter
That piece near the middle looks shopped. FW trying to pull a save?
Ryan Torres
Yea, that was me. I didn't notice the Vigilator gave stealth.
Any comments on my list?
Julian Gray
If you're limited in your tools, I suggest doing your work over a 'cutting board' of sorts (I use an old 120mm base), and to try and limit hefty cuts to that, while doing gentler cuts by hand. That way you can apply more force with less worry. You can also prepare the cut ahead of time by using the tip to score along the line you're cutting. Also, using fresh blades helps considerably, as not only will you get a cleaner cut, it won't require as much force either.
James Reyes
He looks like he's in mid "slipping on a banana peel"
Robert Hughes
Since Thousand Sons are still a ways out does anyone have any hombrewed legion specific rules or what legion to play that's like them.
Levi Sanchez
What legions were know for their tank companies? I kinf of want to model an Armoured Break through. The obvious crunch choice is IH for Autosim but
Jack Williams
IF
Andrew Wood
Nah I think he's training for the next olympic ice skate dancing competition
There was no other legion that used psykers as much as Thousand Sons. Patience.
Jeremiah Rodriguez
I think once the claw/hand is in place it would look a little more like he's reaching, but it is a wide pose
Eli Moore
Oh Emperor preserve me thats a lot of yellow.
Samuel Jenkins
IW.
Need Allied Mark V's to break through the German Fortifications.
Christopher Rivera
There's also UM, but fuck those guys.
Nolan Long
That'd look pretty cool.
Agreed
Nathaniel Cruz
I use a plastic board except when it's unfeasible due to the part's shape. I actually was trying to make a deep straight cut so I could proceed with the saw, but pressed it a bit too hard and the slip through happened.
The hind leg isn't in the spot just jet, I'm deliberating whether to cut it as well and where (hip/knee/ankle) as it does look a bit awkward.
Dark Angels through Ironwing, IW and IH obviously, Alpha Legion's dedicated tanks get some nice bonuses, sadly DTs arent the most point-effective tanks.
Christian Bailey
With any legion, you would have a lot of their main color, but with IF you could do primarily black or Yellow, thanks to the different companies. There is also DG, but that is like.... $100 in washes alone.
Adam Watson
>Alpha Legion's dedicated tanks get some nice bonuses, sadly DTs arent the most point-effective tanks. Not sure I'm following. You mean taking DT land raiders? For infiltrate and whatnot? I'm talking the RoW that makes preds troops, not the one that gives land raiders instead of rhinos.
Nicholas Foster
IH is all about those tanks.
Bentley Diaz
You dont know love until you outflank a proteus up some krios asshole and shove his flare shield in his dumb points efficient face before jizzing 10 tacticals onto an objective
Ryan Gray
What about 20 Immortals in Spartans as troops in the Rite of Bitter Iron?
Matthew Phillips
IH for fluff and crunch. Only (30k) legion with a tank commander, autosimulcrae are cool but kind of a waste of points on anything smaller than a LR, and if you stick Ferrus in there you get IWND on everything for free
Jayden Robinson
I like the arms' pose. That slipping leg? Not so much. Pic is probably AdMech related.
Joshua Roberts
Sadly he doesnt allow for rows, so he is best as allied guy or tonk sharpshooter.
Oliver Gonzalez
it's cartoonishly expensive
Nicholas Cruz
So you take units that have Land Raiders as DT available without that rite (Termies, Destroyers, Breachers, Seekers). Also White Scars' Swift Action rule makes them re-roll 1s to wound and gets them 6+ cover save if they move 12" (the rule applies to vehicles).
Grayson Jackson
I know...they are so cool though.
Joshua Martinez
you're gonna have a tank in the list you want to upgrade. why have one BS5 sicaran when you could have two? especially for a venator where you really, really need to hit with only two shots (plus tank hunter + ordnance = you gonna get a pen)
Lincoln Collins
>Orth Well the Armoured Break Through makes gives a tank the MotL rule to take the RoW.
I image Orth would be pretty good in this RoW
Jonathan Mitchell
Here's a joke 3k mechanized list for the Iron Tenth (that's also guaranteed to lose you all your friends):
Master of Armour in a Sicaran Castrmen Orth in a Falchion 4x Sicarans 6x Predators in 2 squadrons 3x Medusa 3x Laser Vindicators
Everything that can has Armoured Ceramite and Blessed Autosimulacra. Enjoying rolling over any infantry list.
Wyatt Foster
Oh, and everything except the Falchion is Fast too.
Jackson Jenkins
That's some tonk power there.
Luke Edwards
Oh wow, I missed that.
This sounds amazing.
Ryder Richardson
I'd swap one of those sicarans for a venator and the falchion for a fellblade. Falchion, while the prettiest, is the worst.
Leo Myers
>fast medusas
Literally the only thing I find despicable in that list
Jack Green
it was rewritten in the time between HH6 and the new army list red book. a rather nice case of FW being very responsive and clearing up a lot of the confusion in how that RoW was going to be functional; the rules for the Master of Armour are super, super spelled out so you can tell they wanted to make sure there wasn't anything left vague or muddy
Isaac Myers
Vroom vroom
Thanks for the advice. Like I said it's just a joke list (I don't think anyone is crazy enough to run it in real life). I actually mostly play 1k point games of ZM so my tonks go unused.
Colton Wright
>6x Predators in 2 squadrons you're much better off putting them in individual squadrons. MSU isn't just for infantry. squadron rules for vehicles can make a lucky shooting roll blow up three tanks when it would have overkilled one.
plus, these are your scoring units. you need to at least have the ability to spread them out around the board if need be.
