Villans and seduction

Do your bad guys and girls dress sexy and flirt with the PCs to try and get spared, or at least have summary execution reduced to imprisonment? Or to infiltrate their ranks by being "redeemed"? Does it work?

Cat

Some do, specific kinds of villains. The same with heroes really. Romance and seduction are as viable strategies as any other.

Been a while since I last had a villain seriously try to seduce a PC. I should probably do something about that.

It's always worth a try and you can have a lot of fun with it if you're not awful with it.

Any tips for effective seduction?

Be sexy about it.

You pragmatic mother fucker you.

I try to avoid outright seduction, and more as a fallback strategy. Like you can use it as a plan of attack, but unless it's a certain kind of player/character, they won't fall for it and will see it as obvious.

More successful in my experience as said, is seduction as a fall back. So like, the character defeats the villain, and in defeat they plead for mercy and present themselves as an object of desire, the less intentional the better. After that you can have the villain close to the character but still acting for an eventual betrayal, or actually have them reform. Either one is good and can be interesting.

Not to say intentional seduction doesn't work, but it can be difficult, and also can seem like you're trying to push something on the player. It's always better if the player is the one who takes the initiative.

>So like, the character defeats the villain, and in defeat they plead for mercy and present themselves as an object of desire, the less intentional the better.
Ah, so you have them beg for mercy while looking attractive, but pretend to be innocent?

meant for

That's one way, yes. Seduction shouldn't be the most obvious thing about them, it should be something the player eventually realizes. Like an

>"Ha ha! I beat the evil knight in combat and lying before me! Wait... you said his armor broke off? And he's kind of cute? And I can do anything to him? Well... maybe I can be merciful, for now..."

As opposed to the knight. Wearing thong armor and beginning the scene/interaction trying to put the moves on the PC.

Again, my belief is you want the PC to take the initiative usually.

Very clever. I think I'll do this more!

Seduction is usually something employed by a character that isn't-that-evil for me.

A more benign 'evil' like a con-artist or thief employs it. It's part of why I think Succubui/Incubi are really dumb.

Why shouldn't the brutal dictator try to bend a hero to their will using their body, if other methods fail?

Succubi/Incubi use sex to tempt mortals into evil acts. Lillends use sex to guide mortals back towards good.

Because they don't want to. Frankly, it's something that's either used out of desperation or because they have little other choice. Typically because the act of seduction is not even close to an inherently evil act.

Also it's the sort of you thing you can't really fall back on after you've done a lotta murdering. Or if it does work you can just pay someone else to do it for you.

If you don't use every tool in your kit at your disposal, then you're not really worth your salt as a villain, or hero. Certainly, you're pointlessly crippling yourself.

>The evil barbarian horde general won't try to use seduction, because he doesn't want the female heroine as his plaything, in his harem, or as a spouse

I don't understand your thought process here at all. Succubui/Incubi are fantastical exaggerations of sexual predators, their use of seduction is anything but benign.

I think we don't have the same definition of seduction.

That's bad wording on my part- I think it should be benign. As an evil act, say sexual predation, I don't find it very engaging or fun.

>I think it should be benign because I don't find it very engaging or fun.

Uh, what? No really, what? I understand if you don't want to include such themes in your games, but what? You can't just make sexual predation benign because you want it to be, it doesn't work like that.

Always.

[insert oglaf seduction joke here]

My villains don't flirt with and try to seduce the party, but I sure do~

Never heard that one before

No, because it will always result in a gigantic fucking argument that will spill out of game. The same could occur for all captured enemies, but this one is like, that on steroids.

>His BBEG isn't a constantly shirtless flirty gay man.

> First BBEG is a dark elf priestess so ancient that her body is only kept together by strips of linen and spells
> Her second in command is a warrior who's implied to have been castrated and who looks like Darth Sion fucked the pre-alpha version of the Mad Max video game
> Side baddies included an evil old priest, a gay necromancer and a misogynistic dragon warrior

> Second campaign's BBEG is a dracolich
> His lieutenant is part Gregor Clegane and part Boba Fett
> Side baddie was Kevin Spacey and his merry band of racists

> Third campaign BBEG is a floating skull who sounds like Rosamund Pike in The End of the World
> Side baddies include Mournful Elf in Full Plate and the Romanian BDSM Revue

Sex with the baddies hasn't really come up yet.

>not having sex with the dracolich
i am disappoint

He sounded like James Spader and liked to argue with himself. It wasn't a turn-on.

no nigga thats gay

>He sounded like James Spader and liked to argue with himself.
>It wasn't a turn-on.

speak for yourself.

Can we just reflect on the Romanian BDSM Revue not turning at least one player on enough to seduce? That's a group so vanilla its almost kinky.

I use the following:

- The hostage was the BBEG's rogue underling all along, once the PCs free her, quickly enough she tries to get in the horniest PC's pants to lower his guard, also your princess is in another castle (DO NOT EVER PULL THIS OFF ON THE FIRST HOSTAGE SITUATION IN THE CAMPAIGN)
- Catwomanish character is an NPC that doesn't technically belong to either faction, she's not with the PCs, she's not with the BBEG, probably she's fighting him her own way. She occasionally meets the PCs in order to get information or whatnot, seduction might be involved
- BBEG is actively interested in reproduction and doesn't see the boys among her underlings as worthy enough - if they were, they wouldn't be her underlings...
- PCs are merciless cunts and the BBEG is out of options
- BBEG seduces NPCs
- PC pretends to be a BBEG love interest

is the PC in this scene male or female?

Could be either. I've been through experiences with every sort of ortientation seduction.

Dammit, good girl defeating the black knight and getting subsequently turned on and seduced by him relates to all of my fetishes.

Depends on player group, really. And GM, if you are not running the game.

Anyway, got this GM for a while who was making a lot of tongue-in-cheek campaigns, usually referencing some well-known films and books (really, the more you were immersed into pop-culture, the better his games were), so naturally 2/3 of females were acting like seductress in his noir games, the remaining 1/3 being old ladies and even older house cleaning service. Guys were all in tailored suits, so go figure.

In one of the late games, my GM dicked with us this way. After a series of campaigns with really annoying and unfriendly NPCs, he suddenly thrown at us classic "maiden in danger", running into a party in a rain, wearing tattered dress more revealing that covering anything. And she was nice, sweet and helpful. And her promises turned out to be true, ruse-free.

Things only started to get weird after we escorted her to her grandfather and she started to act like a combination of sweet innocent child and a dangerous vamp.
Turns out she was possessed after all and her story was almost entirely made out of lies, while all the previous campaigns had the sole purpose of making us, as players, longing for finally some nice and friendly NPCs

Good job, Tom. You put an excellent bait for us

Well the way it actually went, he was shamefully honorbound to serve her after she defeated him, and had to clean up his act. Meanwhile though she was attracted to him and wanted him to teach her to be bad, and also romantically since she was good and reserved but heard the dread tales of him ravishing the odd princess or heroine.

Led to complications.

>PC pretends to be a BBEG love interest
How did that one work?

Seduce the BBEG but actuallly intent on stopping them.

Saw a rogue do it to amazing success, ended up inheriting the BBEG's holdings after stopping them.

>if you're not awful with it
Dude it's Veeky Forums

When I make sexy bad guys and girls, I don't have them dress seductively. I don't have them be flirty.

Truly beautiful people are attractive no matter what they wear and how much or little makeup they wear.
True beauty stands on its own, without support from any aesthetically pleasing helping hand.

As for flirting... flirting is all about attitude and personality. Flirting works regardless of your own attractiveness - as long as you look slightly above mediocrity. Personality and attitude can "cover" achne scars, it can "slim down" a few kilos, it can "smooth over" a janky face.

By removing flirting and sexy clothing or makeup, all that remains is just pure sex appeal. A kind of mythical attraction, similar to stories about mermaids, sirens and vampires - or just stories about normal women with unearthly beauty like how Helen of Troy's beauty fucking caused the Trojan War.
I can just take a guess where some attraction would fit best in the narrative and enforce that attraction through game mechanics (after all, you cannot stop yourself from being attracted to people you find attractive) - players have to roll, if they fail I just improvise something like "as her gaze meets your gaze, you suddenly stop in your attack".
It is something that has to be used sparingly though, that kind of primal attraction is rare, and above all - the older you get, and the more relationships you've had, the less likely it is to happen.

Which ironically makes young paladins the best victim for this. Keep in mind though, don't fucking think this means you can just force your paladin player to hook up with any kind of supernatural force with a vagina like their name is Geralt.

You can keep it subdued with a heavy narrative focus. A paladin who brings flowers to the grave of a vampire noblewoman he slew despite his intense attraction to her every time a session ends is far more interesting than some "lol topkek paladin fucks succubus nice_meme.jpg.avi.tiff lololol".

Well, it worked pretty well: the BBEG had hired a very strong merc to combat the party and one of them had a thing for traps, ao after the party knocked him unconscious, the fighter kept him as a cumdump, requesting help from the cleric to break the merc's will.

The BBEG used this fixation to get in touch with the fighter alone and abduct him. The party eventually broke the fighter free, although the trap-merc escaped in that ordeal.

>bad guys and girls
>guys
I appreciate your attempts to make sure nobody feels excluded, but you do know human sexuality doesn't work that way, right?

You have to go back. Back to /pol/. You do not belong here.

You can't treat people that way user.

And no, not if they're the real BBEG. If they're minor and someone who might help the PCs at some point, I could see it happening maybe.

...

Go on

I remember that doujinshi... There it goes again.

Are you saying evil dudes can't be sexy?

>not making your bbeg's girl (boy)s
How's it feel being a fag?

It's actually canon that Arturia had a penis due to Merlin fucking about

Of course it is. Gotta give the doujin writers something to work with.

>How did that one work?
Player: Can I flirt with the BBEG?
GM: How about a date?
Player: Wha-
This is the part where you would tell your friend the tried and true: "Are you sure?" Nope, not today.

GM: "That can be arranged!"
I desperately try to contain my diabolical laughter as I got the players to join forces, and concoct a plan so he can magically infiltrate the lair of pic related and impersonate a he-concubine of hers. And it works!

The two partake in increasingly more romantic activities such as discussing classical Draconic literature, hunting, listening to the exclusive performances of blackmailed bards, betting on gladiator games, watching prisoners' executions...

Eventually it was time for him to join her in her chambers, of course you understand villains aren't exactly famous for asking nicely...
GM: Why, you guessed it, it's torture chambers we're talking about!

She knew he was under a magical disguise since the very beginning, but played along because she needed some entertainment.

And that's how the party got themselves a new quest!

Gentlemen, I'm having a crisis of faith here!
Is it okay to have sex with the Saracen queen if she converts to Catholocism beforehand?

After conversion come the Sacraments: Baptism, Confession, First Holy Communion, and Matrimony.

Then you fug.

>he wouldn't fuck a cute knight like
You have to go back.

I once had a character who had a thing for powerful women and had an on going attraction to the female villain.

He never did anything stupid like betraying the team but he had a bad habit trying to get her to agree to a date during the worst possible times.

Good taste

>Go to local city plaza.
>See the big information board to look for quests and the local news.
>See a marriage ad.
>"Noble Lady of high status seeks a good and honest man. Preferably Paladin. Must like children, long walks in the forests and capable of helping those who want to change their ways."
>Said noble lady is a Dark Mistress who has enough of being evil and wants to for once do something good and make up for the things she did in the past.

Did she at least considered it?

How did it turn out?

This girl had no right being this not

Only if she won and killed the rest of the team. Like a lovably durp my character kept on trying while they flinging magic missiles at each other

She died and he felt sad for her until he met the King's Queen

My character was a shallow fuck

I had a character in Horde of the Dragon Queen who was attracted to powerful enemies. He captured Frulam alive, and later Rezmir. Turned them in to the proper authorities and hit on them when they were in prison.

Shame.

Evil women need the D.

The D redeems.

Must. Have. Source!

Ouyang Xueli from Cupid's Chocolate (Aishen Qiaokeli-ing), a literal Chinese cartoon. IT'S FUCKING TERRIBLE!

I am fully aware that reverse psychology being reverse psychology, it just means you get more interested in it the more I tell you not to watch it, but I'm serious, do not do this to yourself.

is Beatrix Brehme from Schwarzesmarken

>Looked up the synopsis

So, a highschool harem comedy where a bunch of girls ate a magical cake that made them all think they were the guy's girlfriend.

It's fucking nothing.

>rezmir
Good taste

No, somehow it is worse and less than nothing.

It's that bad.

>During their unteempth climactic clash she casually asks him if he's free later that day, so she can take him on a date in the 6th conquered city she has renamed in her own honor
>He declines, instead proposing a romantic dinner for two in jail

Treat people what way?

...

My players decided to take a sharp left turn in the story to go to a nightclub. I immediately refluffed the team of AntiPCs as club girls, only one of which managed to seduce her target. By the end of things, they had an antagonistic but not entirely non-flirty rapport.

1. Be attractive.
2. Don't be unattractive.

>converting a sexy brown woman to my faith and then fucking her
This is actually my fetish

>Everybody in the background actually thinking about it.

>Oh hey I see that you're wearing that dress again
>I can wear this all the time, just for you

Literally perfect

Well, when the Balor's honey/second in command is an Arch Succubae, seduction plots are gonna happen, but they of course get turned horribly on their head.
>Their daughter decides to try and infiltrate the PC's by going after the paladin (in my setting, alignment is not limited to LG, but rather the deity's alignment).
>Paladin is CG, immediately uses detect evil when she starts seducing, pings of course.
>Decides to go along with it without her knowing he knows.
>Multiple adventures, she had joined the party as a rogue DMPC
>Paladin courts her in hopes of redeeming her everlasting soul
>eventually in an unrelated side plot, she almost gets wiped when the baddie targets her, bad roll leads to near death, Baddie goes in for next attack.
>Pally avoids two AOO's to get to her in time to block, spends fate point to succeed in a timed shield bash, staggers bad guy, other members get in in time to help
>she goes through such a change of heart that she goes from CE to CN, actively starts helping us against her parents
>Paladin receives a blessed ring from his god after a vision that night as a reward for redeeming a lost soul. Ring of Redemption, grants protection +5 at all times, wearer can cast Greater circle against evil 3 times per day.
>Gives it to her as engagement ring.
>Turns out to be the party's saving grace in the final boss fight.
>now we have two little half-demons running around.

It's a good point, you know.

Political games like court based L5R tend to have a lot of seduction going on, especially when proper use of marriage baiting, affairs and blackmail can get you farther than the ability to punch things very hard.

Isn't that basically a Batman/Catwoman conversation? I swear I've heard that "Romantic dinner for two in jail. " line before.

>About two decades later, the titanic struggle between good and evil continues
>To the BBEG's surprise, this time it's not her lover but her son coming by to stop her
>"Oh my, what a pleasant surprise! You've grown so big and strong, handsome too! Just like your father when he was young!"
>"Do you do that 'DEUS VULT' thing too? Your father used to do that all the time, especially in the bedr- oh, what am I saying?!"

...

>The time approaches for the next struggle between good and evil.
>"Honey, you know I've been the 'evil' for the past century... I think I want to experiment a little."
>"Are you saying you want to try being the hero?"
>"I knew you'd understand! I have this really hot 'villain' outfit already picked out for you. I always thought it was a shame you didn't wear capes, with your face and shoulders a good high collar would suit you!"

>Moooooooom! Don't say stuff like that! Specially not if front of my party!

>At some point, the life-or-death struggle between good and evil had turned into a harmless family pastime. This is what happens when...

The Final Boss is a Housewife

>Honey, this cape makes me look like a damn vampire.
>Watch that mouth! And, oh, that IS a good idea. I know this vampire, used to haunt a manor. Nowadays I think he just has a funerary service. I could ask him to bite you.
>Wouldn't that make me fall as a paladin? ...not to mention about becoming a vampire for the rest of eternity?
>Oh darling, you really need to check on the news, there's been a lot of progress on the field of vampirism, there's easy and cheap cures now on every decent clinic. And besides, if you didn't fall when we set up that temple of elemental evil mock up for junior and his friends, then nothing will.

If drow are matriarchal, why do their females look like sluts and their males prudes?

>"I was sent to another world to become the hero but I married the final boss and she is now a housewife?!"

For the same reason snakepeople have tits: most players are male and enjoy looking at sexy women.

Unless those snakepeople are more people than snake, those tits are creepy rather than sexy.

>hero awoke to hear miss deeds happening in the dead of night
>his wife tells him to come back to bed, it's cold with out him.
>he tells her that he has to stop the crime that's a foot.
>she tells him that he should let the young hero take care of it.
>the night is quite cold and his wife is very warm, the hero gives in to his wife's wishes and cuddles up with her in a comfy warm bed.
>little does he knows that his wife was the master mind behind that crime, sending her gang of medieval punk girls to rob and steal while she finally gets her husband to cuddle her.

I don't know, I like them

I'll never forget the utterly random development I had for a throw-away villain called Sherrnak. He was a half-blue dragon antagonist once in my 3.5 game. He started off as a Bandit King who the party had to capture because he was running arms for the main bad guy of the campaign.

He's was a massive pain in the ass once the party took them down, and did all he could to make the way back to their home base uncomfortable. Spoiling potions, constantly trying to break his binds and generally being a dick (such as using his draconic endurance to sign and cause riot all night to make the party fatigued).

However he had a moment where the party got attacked by Werewolves ala Dog Soldiers and had to help out the PC's. He then returned to his dickish ways until he got back to the capital. Here I was going to just throw him away, but instead I wrote it so he instead offered 'his services' to the crown who accepted and he basically joined the Crown Army as a Mercenary captain.

Later on he rocked up to make fun of the party, berate their efforts and generally be a dick before saving them from Earth Elementals by threatening to fold in their Mountain home on itself and fill it with Water.

The party hated and loved him at the same time and it only got better when he began giving them missions.

In the end after the BBEG was defeated he bought his contract out with the earnings, became a village hero and left to different lands to become a Bandit King again who rode a Dire Rhino.

I miss him
