First for Dark Eldar.

Look at that disgusting waistline.

The Order of Our Martyred Muffin Top.

The Order of the Eternal Fupa.

What a shame.

But holy shit, where is the thread title man.

One job man, and you fucked it up.

"Inquisitor Greyfax" sounds like some fanfiction name.
Also nice thread title you fucking dingleberry.

...

Yea it sucks but we can't really change it at this point.

Adeptus Titanicus should be good when it gets rolling. Forge World rules, and a better scale for massive amounts of models than 40k.

hopefully it'll be pretty common if Admech players get them for counts-as Kastelans. That sounds pretty workable considering how hit or miss people find the regular robot models.

Where are people hearing this?

GW open day.

I'm excited, is this basically going to be a reboot of Epic or will it be all new shit?

Epic, they're looking at adding the rest of the smaller shit later.

So Titan Legions at first, then work infantry etc in at a later date?
Seems like a good chance for a starter box.

On the last years FW open days they said they had began planning the Adeptus Titanicus release for sometime this year, they said they were going to do a test of the rules with large titans on the next Open Day which is this February.

>tfw Night Lords play better with a Warband than a Raptor Talon
>3+ jinks on T1 ObSec dreadclaws with rerolled assaults
>raptors are still ObSec and reroll charges
>AC havoks have stealth and ObSec

Yeah, Knights and Titans first, then smaller stuff.

It's in 8mm, they decided that was the best size to detail ratio to go for.

Also apparently whole buildings that you can cut into ruins optionally.

>The Warlord and Questoris Knight are done, Reaver is currently sculpted, the large Knight was already 3D printed and he looks huge (larger than a terminator). Cerastus Knights will be done after the Reaver is finished.
>The Warlord is sized between the 28mm Questoris Knight and Leviathan. Actually, it’s pretty much Thanatar sized, and also has the same amount of parts.
>The “starter box” will contain the rules, plastic scenary, plastic markers, special dice. No models in it – but there will be bundles on the FW site.
>They will do all the models in resin – maybe, maaaybe one day if it sells very well they can get green light for a full plastic starter box. But not any time soon.
>They will do the old EPIC slaaneshi titans/knights – but loyalist versions of them. The subjugator is a “lighter class” titan now, the smaller ones will still be knights afaik. They will get done in 8mm scale first, and later (hopefully) for 30k too.
>Stuff that already had CAD files can be scaled down, but the other way isn’t that easy. So don’t expect 8mm stuff beeing released in 28mm soon afterwords, as you can’t just upscale it.
>The game itself will be very tactical. It’s based around a maniple of 5 titans and knights support. You will have large cards for each of your titans, and marker for void shields, damage, energy etc.
>There will be 3 modes to play similiar to AoS – open play where you can test the waters, matched play with points etc, and narrative mode based on scenarios.
>Machine Spirit traits are in and important.
>Legion traits will be in. *Maybe* we will even get teleporting Warp Runners
>You can do an all Warhound army and play against lets say 5 Warlords – the site with the smaller titans will get battle traits to make these games fair.

All we know so far from last years open day

Any anons in this shittily made general rate my list pls?

Sounds neat. Hype level 1 established,

Yeah the new traitor Legion have a surprising amount of play styles.

You need more veterans. Or at least some Kasrk...Scions.

>plastic a long way away

New info (from BoLS tbf) suggests they might go plastic sooner since Blood Bowl did so well.

That'd be awesome, even if they just made something like 1 Warhound vs 2 Knights plus scenery people would eat that shit by the truckloads.

Needs more wyverns. 3 - 6 more should allow you to remove the enemies army in a turn or two

no real reason to squadron the russes
lascannon heavy weapon squad might be overkill

Otherwise infantry platoon+armored fist/10. It's a classic guard list, and will get work done.

And here's the stuff from yesterday's Open Day.

>The book is done, the minis are done. Titanicus is going to print next week and will be out this year.

>They are going to do a big release with boxed game plus extras. They pushed the schedule back a bit to flesh it out more.

>They have learned from BB that people are lapping Specialist Games up, so are going to get more budget for it.

>Adeptus Titanicus is delayed (it was originally planned to be released around february). Not being rushed out. Might be out before the end of the year.

>There will be complete plastic buildings (which you can destroy yourself, by cutting etc).

>Thanks to Blood Bowl, and the delay there is a possibility of plastic Titans which go on sale at the same time as the black book / resin ones.

>The book art for ‘Titan’s Death’ is being worked on right now.

>The game is set during the Horus Heresy in the spirit of the original Adeptus Titanicus.

>The scale will be 8mm – They decided on this scale after 3D printing a Marine, Dread, Leman Russ, Warlord and a Mastodon in three different scales. 8mm was deemed the best as you could see the details to the point of telling different armour marks apart but didn’t make the Titans too big.

>8mm will make a Warlord around 6″ tall (that’s what it looked like why Andy Hoare put his hands apart, don’t blame me if the final model is smaller or larger…).

>Down the road infantry and tanks are to be introduced.

>Other forces are also possible, this includes Xenos which can be introduced in a themed expansion, e.g. Adeptus Titanicus: Armageddon to bring in the Orks.

>Currently the Titans are being 3D modelled by Chris Drew, the Warlord has been done as the 40k version was originally 3D modelled so it was a case of just scaling things down and getting it to work as a model which can be manufactured.

>We may, may, get to see something at the Forge World Open Day…(may, depending on Tony Cottrell)

>at least some Kasrk...Scions.
I like you.

I'll be having a game with a friend of mine in a bit whois just starting the game, but does know the rules and what's decent/what isn't. He's playing Imperial Fists and will be fielding at least Lysander and a squad of Grav Centurions in what'll be a 1000 point game.

Without just spamming Grav myself or having ridiculously good rolls, what kind of set-up could I possibly have any success with using my Black Templars?

>no subject line at all

come to the dubs anons

I still found the thread with ctrl F "40k"

Very curious to see how the extra 2mm will effect the smaller stuff. I wonder if more detail can help it be more popular.

Just counter his shit with grav-spam Crusader squads. You can get a cannon and gun in your mandatory troops with 2 drop pods.

Bring a bunch of neophytes so your squads are 50/50 3+/4+ and make him roll on 4+ to wound.

Bring Drop Pods, no Rhinos.

Get into CC and fuck his shit up.

I see a lot of talk about flyers having roles and losing skyfire and such...
Is DftS required to field flyers in standard games? Because I don't want a shitty new book just to run a couple turkeys.

perhaps, or maybe they just increasing the scale so everyone can laugh at people who use the tiny old models, and buy the new ones out of shame.

>how do I beat an army with half of its points tied up in four models
take a swarm of combat squads/scouts

Alternatively grab a drop pod with some plasma stuffed inside it and kill his 250+ point unit in a single shooting phase.

It's not required, more of a supplemental add which you can choose to use.

are the sisters of silence even wearing armour, jesus christ that wasteline is fridge horror

then again I suppose technology has regressed somewhat since horus ruined everything so I suppose its understandable

I've been running Cult Mech/Skitarii against my friend's Tau army and every time I play, during the shooting phase he just erases entire squads of Skitarii at once. Are there any tips so the Skitarii can actually survive the first two shooting phases and get into range to fire back at the blueberry chucklefucks? I'd try to get rid of his markerlights but the pathfinders are almost always in 2+ cover.

Yeah, they're actually fatter than SoB since they didn't do anything for multiple millenia. They just get to hide it in a (literal) pocket dimension.

Use War Convo, activate Shroud Canticle, survive.

Alternatively, you could give the Elimination Maniple a try to take care of the lights due to Ignore Cover and being able to tank some attention away from your swarm of Skitarii.

>subjugator will get redone as a loyalist version

what? i can't praise slaanesh to that

just a reminder that the actual general is over here

GK HQs go in Drop Pod with EC and Command Squad (my store rules allow it since it's Fast Attack and not Dedicated). Land turn 1 or 2 depending on enemy army comp, charge next turn and start murdering with AP 2 at initiative.

Assault Marines combat squad and tie up the deadliest shooting units.

Crusader(s) and Devastators pod in, start shooting.

Termies and NDK are DISTRACTION CARNIFEX

Whats the difference between a 5+ save, a 5++ save and a 5+++ save?

>5+ save
It's an armor save, meaning guns that are AP5 or better will deny you the save.
>5++ save
Invulnerable save that you can always make, except in the specific circumstance that your opponent is using a D weapon and rolls a 6, in which case your model was dead anyway.
>a 5+++ save
Differs, some players use it to indicate cover saves (usually a permanent one that the model always gets, like if it has Shrouded built it) and others use it to indicate Feel No Pain rolls, which aren't saves per se but are rolled to mitigate wounds in the same was as a save. Also, you can make a FNP roll in addition to any armor/invulnerable/cover save you might get.
