Old Thread: Kingdom Death is a company that makes a board game called Monster. That's hard to find in a google search though, so it's often just called Kingdom Death: Monster. It's a monster hunting board game which a campaign where you build up a small settlement of survivors.
More details about the game can be found there, and links to pledge managers and other important things are at the top of the page. FAQ is at the bottom of the page.

>Dragons=Angels I've been picking apart my DK expansion and looking at t a bit closer, and I believe that is actually correct. The alien theory doesn't hold much weight, because Kingdom Death isn't a planet, it's a plane, from everything we have seen. As has been mentioned before, there is Some evidence that it is literally Hell.
There is no actual sky in Kingdom Death. the "sky" is instead just a massive slab of rock that also has stone faces carved in it, with a thick layer of red fog just below, blocking the view of them. The fog sometimes thins, allowing people to see the eyes of the faces on the ceiling, which resemble stars. (Source: (DK) Unveil the Sky , (SS) Promise Under The Sun, (SS) Sky Fishing) Nearly every story event that shows the sky, shows it as just a bunch of swirls, likely meant to represent the fog that blankets it.
The faces on the stone cieling seem to be the high level entities of the holy lands, while the faces on the floor are the various faces of everyone who ever was, currently is, or eventually will be (Source: a bunch of hunt events, Scultptor Constelation)
We know that the Goblin, the Gambler, and the Dragon King all have their face somewhere in the stone ceiling. The first two have Constelations, and the Tyrants showdown lore says he has one as well. Unveil the Sky also confirms that those faces are People of the Stars, or at least were.
Given that Satan and Tyrant both have human and dragon forms, I think it's safe to say that is true of all people of the Stars. Since the gambler is one of them, he likely has a Dragon form as well, which would be rad as hell (Source: Dragons are rad as hell)

(cont) Massive speculation to follow at this point:
My guess is that the various entities ruled over the sky, while humans and lions were on the ground with their own civilization. Satan and the Golden Entity led a war to take over the ground civilizations. Satan likely fell while trying to take The Wall, but the Golden Entity won the war and took over The Wall, enslaving humanity and creating the Great City. The Twilight Order survived, but only barely, likewise for the White Speakers. Some humans managed to craft some gear from the Ivory Dragons corpse, which eventually found their way to Aya in the form of her gauntlets.
The Satan Twins crawled out of the Igor Dragon to recover, and have been trying to be more subtle by corrupting humanity instead of waging outright war at this point. The various entities also now wander the world in their biped forms. The gambler as the two faced fucker we know and love, the sculptor as the thing with the inverted face on the first page of the core rulebook, the Goblin as something just as terrifying as it's Dragon form, etc.
After a time, the Dragon King, who had not taken part in any of this, descended and tried to create a new race of People of the Stars, from the survivors who he didn't join in the slaughter of.
His rage caused by the survivors losing isn't just the real People of the Stars all being corrupt and lead by Satan and the Entity, it's also his survivors guilt that he didn't try to stop them, or wasn't able to, which is part of why he tried to help the survivors in the first place.

Does anyone know how the currency exchange is handled on Kickstarter?
Christian Phillips
I'm pretty certain it gets handled by your bank. If your bank has a fee for it, or a shit exchange rate then it's up to you to figure that out.
Jayden Ward
They charge your card in dollars and let your bank sort it out. So you'll get your banks exchange rate.
Tyler Lopez
So... in this theory, does this mean that on a successful People of the Stars campaign that the Dragon King is powerleveling your settlement to create new heroes that can actually fight the Golden Entity and (hopefully) win?
Cooper Nelson
That's my theory. Or at the very least, heroes capable of being a successor to the Dragon King, instead of the corrupted filth that was his actual legacy.
Grayson Stewart
I see. Maybe I should give them a call tomorrow.
Robert Wilson
It was a comment like this that started the text dump.

What are all the established locations in KD? Stone face land, upside own mountain, black hole forest, hunter city, dead silver city, underground mines city... Are those all as of right now?
Connor Young
rust ocean is where the architects come from.
not sure if the traveller counts as a location as it moves
Bentley Jones
If promos are in lore, than soda pop revealed a giant walking arena
Cameron Jackson
Where do you get rust ocean? Is there a mini with that lore?
Carson Miller
I'm surprised no one has mentioned the biggest evidence for dragons being literal angels.
Tyrant and Dragon King both have a Glory, the actual massive back ring depicted in medieval art, which bathes the angel in perpetual light and signifies mortals as being more than just mortal. It's literally the precursor to the angelic halo in art.
Justin Kelly
Also don't forget the holy lands, where the golden entity lives.
Levi Lewis
Frog dog means there is a swamp now. Maybe where the mosquito comes from too.
Adrian Torres
Isn't that the more advanced tech hunter human city?
Liam Johnson
The the plane of faces, user.
And that's part of the mountain. Blood drips down the side of the mountain and pools up in a swamp below it. That's why Frogdog is in the inverted mountain campaign.
Lucas Wood
The swamp is at the base of the inverted mountain I think.
Lincoln Brooks
No because the Lion Knight is from the holy lands and now lives in self imposed exile. Also all humans in the holy lands are fully and directly under the control of the golden entity and are raised by the wet nurse, which your survivors obviously aren't.
Isaiah Diaz
Yeah, theres a lot of advanced tech there. Guns, mechanically encased hearts that can regrow you, various potions and vials, small crafting tool assembly lines etc
Ryder Butler
Maybe he means the swirling reddish sky that literally has fish monsters swimming in it
Nicholas Myers
Adam said the Rust Ocean is where Architects are from but i think there's only the Pinup Architect as far as real minis or artwork goes
Anthony Stewart
Examples of some minis from the holy lands are the Chosen, The Mother and Grand Mother, The Forge God, The White Knights and of course the Wet Nurse. The white Lions are also said to be from there but considering we see nothing of any of the other afformentioned monsters other than the Lion Knight it would seem more likely that the plane of stone faces simply borders the holy lands.
Noah Green
Well there was this piece of artwork of a proper architect. My guess is that due to their connection to the twilight Knights they will become more relevant when Kingdom Death: Labyrinth inevitably happens.
Ethan James
Oops sorry I mixed them up with this guy I think.
Jose Campbell
Early Ed anons had interesting ideas for a dark Eden setting for a campaign. Anyone got other myth or creation settings that could shape a campaign?
Jace Rogers
No the Holy Lands and the Great City are two different places from what we can tell as the great game hunters appear to have free will, and based on the description the Great City seems fairly isolated.
Kevin Garcia
I'm trying to pick two out of these three expansions to get: Gorm, Flower Knight, and Slenderman. What would you recommend and why Veeky Forums?
David Jenkins
Gorm and either Flower Knight if you want an easier game or Slenderman if you want it harder
Joseph Wood
Flower Knight also offers quite an overpowered bow.
Evan Flores
Slenderman is harder than kingsman and hand?
Blake Williams
KDM is essentially a dark creation story, just wiki creation and their is a lot you could use to customize
Jace Green
WELL EXCUSE US MR. CARTOON PORN EXPERT
Jaxson Parker
>Fucking hell. Literally.
Hudson Jenkins
At level 1 the Kingsman is harder than Slenderman who is probably harder than the others, changes later esp if you don't get Dash. Slenderman will beat you up! He has the most gear content though of the Nemesis monsters.
Slenderman does replace all the Nemesis fights except the first Butcher and The Hand with himself though, so thats a consideration,
Robert Scott
A bow that you buy on credit and pay for in settlement pop.
Jonathan Garcia
4 dead random retards is a price I am very willing to pay. Especially for the chance of getting a Doctor out of it.

Phoenix through shenanigans releases the first people from the earth. They are weak, the Phoenix hurts them, the formless world hurts them, they hurt themselves. So Phoenix instructes them to defeat and capture a sunstalker held as a pet by ___ end boss. Start game. There user, now just proxy salmon people, bigfoot, and a giant cannibal and you have KD with Canadian tribal theme
Andrew Bell
Seriously considering dropping my Mage sleeves pledge. Why should I waste $200 extra bucks for sleeves? I'm going to play alone anyway.
James Campbell
How does everyone store their miniatures? Expansion mini's aside, obviously something like the phoenix doesn't fit in the core box. Is there room in the core for ANY of the minis or is it taken up by cards? Do you just have them all standing up on display? Have some kind of case? I can't decide how I'm going to do it.
Jaxson Gutierrez
Skinwalkers would be an interesting enemy or even fighting art
Gabriel Myers
It's always good to protect your $300 product from your Dorito-stained fingers and Mt dew when you inevitably spill it on your cards.

I have a rolling supply cart and I pack them inside sealed tupperwear with bubblewrap
Gabriel Wood
Dat inviting glance and exposed haunch
Eli Diaz
Pretty sure that's still Lokman.
Daniel Sanders
I use a detolf to display my painted minis.
Carter Peterson
Why wouldn't survivors flock there for protection, or better yet overthrow the hunter people?
David Jones
They don't know about it The city is on a plateau or is otherwise unreachable They are woefully outmatched by the hunters Too busy being maimed to consider moving
>They are woefully outmatched by the hunters Probably this one seeing as one great game hunter can do with relative ease what 4 regular survivors struggle to do.
