You have no ball skills and no block skills at the start, but your options on leveling and initial stats are great

I usually give my first level up Extra Arms, and then I start on blockers and claws once I have at least one skilled package handler. All the beatface in the world won't win you games if you can't actually carry the ball to the endzone.
