Just how gay is your setting?

Just how gay is your setting?

Please take this discussion to either /pol/ or /lgbt/, as it is nothing more than bait for people who identify themselves as homosexuals to pretend they're somehow normal, because they feel insecure unless parading about their fetish at every available opportunity.

Pretty gay, truth be told.

Same sex sex occurs sometimes.

It's not gay, but it is pretty lesbian

>all this ironic insecurity

Well, it's inspired by early 1990s JRPGs like Final Fantasy, Phantasy Star, Chrono Trigger, and Dragon Quest, so... how gay were those back in the day?

Ugh gayer!

Well, I would like it gayer...

78% gay

Not very.

Surprisingly not that gay considering we have a gay guy in our group. He had a sad backstory about his character having a Groundhog's Day thing with a guy, except with the bad end where he never remembered. Still, that was a single five minute exposition in a two-year campaign.

It could be more gay. Why? What are you proposing?

I dunno man those haircuts are pretty faggy.

My setting doesn't have any religious prohibitions against homosexuality so the cultures generally have a lot less problems with it. A lot of the cultures do posit producing heirs as an inherent male duty, but it's seen as normal and healthy to fuck around with the same sex every now and then.

>being not just a faggot, but a hypocrite

Your insecurity must be at a high point in 2017.

My fantasy setting has same sex couplers and even marriage, but that is only in certain areas. My sci-fi setting has no gayness in to because gender and ideas of sexuality are a bit outdated and no one cares when you can go to a clinic and get a new set of sexual organs fitted that work like you were born with them.

And then there is my Cyberpunk Setting. . . It has Futanari bars and 40 year old business men becoming full borgs so they can be little girls. That setting is fucking gay as fuck and wonderful for it.

Not incredibly. Most of it that happened was in the form of a joke

Holy shit you're a retard.

Every town and city has it's very own all-Tenor Soprano A Capella quartet each singing a different song by The Village People.

Interesting fact:
Entry into the thrall of Orcus PrC requires you to have a sexually transmitted disease you can only get through necrophilia, or the Undead- and subsequently the PrC includes powers of horrible body odor, and the spreading of disease.

There's a reason why Orcus is a giant red bara Goat/pig hybrid with a fagut, pierced nipples that has Undead Sprawled around his legs and all his servants are fucked up looking old people, elites who hide their depravities behind closed doors, and why he tussels with a tentacle monkey and a tiny manwhore, and why most of the time he's sitting on his fat ass on his throne of skulls because he can hand Death Knighthood and Lichdom out like free candy to pleb spellcasters who he get's to do utterly horrible things that have almost nothing to do with the transformation process at hand.

You literally have to be a Poz Pig Podesta tier motherfucker to worship him, Orcus is flat hard gaybait walking.

Fantasy setting inspired by Ancient Greece, so... pretty fucking gay.

My setting has homosexuals either cured or killed.

It's a nice setting.

Also his followers are all predominately male, and his first temple he had had women in cages, infact, most of the art of him with women has them cast down at his hooves in some submissive or conquered position which, given his portfolio over the undead, makes sense, women are the bearers of life after all.

>40 year old business men becoming full borgs so they can be little girls

Is there anyone in-setting that has any level of morality to be opposed to this sort of stuff? I'd imagine even in a technological utopia where literally anything is possible there's going to be some group(s) of people who think this is just absolutely disgusting.

Also I should probably mention that same sex marriage isn't a thing in my setting because the idea of partnering up with someone for life except to produce and raise children is odd. Marriage is more a social and political contract and taking a few extramarital lovers is seen as the norm.

Romantic love is generally thought of separately from sex and intimacy, and is just as likely to be found between sworn bloodbrothers as it is a married couple or young village sweethearts. Still, it's accepted that it all often goes hand in hand.

Yes, I'm projecting. No, I don't care.

None of this is particularly important though because I have no interest in writing a romance in this setting and the only time so-and-so's husband or lover or mistress will be mentioned is in the context of social/political intrigue.

Alternatively you can just pretend the Book of Vile Darkness never existed like the rest of polite society. I mean it's better than FATAL or that d20 modern book with the armor made magically out of literal shit, but it's still pretty bad

At the point where your identification is a transmitted signal that anyone and everyone can detect and read I think there isn't any point to trying for the morally indignant route.

>gay

You don't understand ancient Greece, and your historical revisionism that you spam in each of these threads is what classifies them as troll threads.

1. "Homosexuality" is a modern concept, barely two hundred years old.
2. Even the rare man who had a sexual preference for men was still expected to have sex with women. Ancient people would look upon modern homosexuals with absolute bewilderment and disgust.
3. Pederasty is not the same thing as homosexuality, with it being limited to special castes, being between an adult and a child, and with insertion being discouraged. Male adult-adult relationships in cultures that practiced pederasty were likewise discouraged and treated with disdain.

>Numenera

Gender can be accidentally warped by like 8000 different ancient nano threats. Life is brief, dangerous and often very lonely. Yes, it's gay, and the gayer the better I say. Let the humans have their fun before the 10th World arrives and they go extinct.

How is that not gay?

How do I downvote this post? It's incredibly homophobic and offensive to any human being with an ounce of dignity or empathy left in their spirit

...

In a technological utopia I would sort of doubt it. People mostly care about that shit only if they're poor and stupid or they have something to gain from aligning themselves with people that are poor and stupid and that in theory would be the one place that's not an issue. For what the person in question was saying I'm guessing those are examples from the more seedy parts of society

...

>humans on the verge of extinction in a dangerous environment

That would make them less gay, not more. It's weird how faggots like to try and insanely justify making established settings as gay as they are. That might be one of the many, many reasons people hate faggots.

Quit replying to your own posts.

I had a feeling you spamming faggots were from Reddit.

That is NOT my post. Let me be clear, I would NEVER post anything like that.

Welcome to the gay dead club, leave your decency at the door.
What was the name of that awful fetish where you fuck a bloated corpse with maggots in it as someone else jumps on the stomach to send the gastric juices out that have putrefied?

>People mostly care about that shit only if they're poor
that's a roundabout way of saying people only care about socially beneficial norms when they matter.

Are you proposing social technology is doomed to collapse as physical technology improves? Capitalism, grimdark style?

Congratulations. You guys fucked up another thread.

LGTB.
Apparently lesbian=/=gay anymore.

I heard it called splunking.

Not sure if that's just a local word for it.

And Orcus after he hit the gym to acquire Less fat bara and more Bear-mode bara aesthetics for his big romp with Demonignog- I mean Monkey Trouble

any LGBT faggot shit doesn't and simply can't exist in my settings. as the author i hate gays and other subhumans so i exclude them from my escapist fictional worlds

It's actually pretty good if you're not a dumb faggot.

And now for an active Orcus Cult ritual with an aspect of Orcus.
Note how he is butt naked and probably waving his junk behind the cult leader, and the place is full of red incense smoke and probably a burned children from one of those nasty cult ritual furnaces.

Does it count as gay if it's a eunuch?

>fucked up a /lgbt/ troll thread

They're fucked from the start, you dumb faggot. That's why you have a containment board to begin with.

We all play incube/succube and i'm the only who isn't french.

I dunno, it's hard for me to imagine that morality would simply die out in such a world. Surely there has to be someone who would find the idea of becoming a cyborg loli so that way men your age could pretend to be pedophiles but still be in a legal gray area because the cyborg loli in question is of adult age, at least before the operation.

I mean, Golarion.

Here's your (you)s.

Bye.

Also, Search Orcus on google and look at the images presented to the far right.

I'm talking to everyone, OP and posters. A thread died for this Shit.

We could've ignored it, or sage-bombed it to bump limit, or... never mind, I'm obviously expecting way too much of a board that falls for this all too easily.

Is it wrong if I make almost every character I play gay? The games I play with my group hardly ever bring up sex or relationships, and I never bring up that part of myself anyway.

Not particularly. Homosexuality isn't rare but it isn't common either. Nobody makes a big deal about it other than parents who were really hoping to have grandkids someday. Unless a king's only son turns out to be gay it's just a background detail.

However, if you consider futa gay then my setting is extra gay. Descendants of gods can sometimes manifest the physical traits of the gods, and one of the gods is a hermaphrodite. This god is not shy about having relationships with mortals, so hermaphroditism is not unheard of (though, not widely acknowledged).

They fucked each other in the bum though. Pretty gay.

why would that be wrong? As long as you aren't making it the character focus that should be fine. Relationship bullshit in games is typically awful anyway, whether it's gay or straight

Well I would say that creative destruction applies to values just as much as anything else. Why ban pork if it's safe to eat? At some point it's just a matter of stubbornness dragging other people down more than any sort of function, and I doubt that can hold out forever in a vacuum. When people start throwing the word "utopia" around I just assume they've reach the point where the stupid backlash has faded away
There was nothing to lose. Between it being a shitty premise for a thread and it being edgy to hate gay people on the internet there was never a chance

Orcus wouldn't be gay, because he has sired children. At best, you can argue that he's bisexual, or pansexual (or whatever retarded new word you want to use), but that doesn't really apply to a demon lord who could quite easily have sex with anything and feel zero emotions while doing so.

Orcus is absolutely disgusting and immoral so it's no wonder that homosexuals would be found among his worshipers, but he's actually one of the few Demon Princes that has remnants of his past mortal existence floating around in his ego, and who feels confident enough in his own strength to sire his wild oats among the planes. He was actually wise in doing so, since his children have granted him great strength and influence in the mortal realm.

>bara
I hate how it's now associated with being a giant flaming faggot.

Why can't I be a big strong, buff, hairy, kinda chubby guy that loves cute girls because of how dainty and soft they are?

Hey, I'm one of those.

Yes, and you're a dumbfuck for doing so.
I would kick you out of my group without hesitation.

A thread dies for every new thread. It's the circle of life. We can only hope the thread that died was already on its last legs or something even worse than this.

Is it wrong if I make almost every character I play straight? The games I play with my group hardly ever bring up sex or relationships, and I never bring up that part of myself anyway.

My setting features Trap Changelings that turn into whatever you desire, and Orcs got replaced with Mandrill Men who worship Demogorgon and are entirely male and can only reproduce via M-pregging eachother's muscular man butts or magically M-pregging only the manliest men of other races or being M-pregged by them.

On the otherhand I made Mindflayers more octopus-like and entirely dedicated to whiping out the Homomonkeies and Trannylings on the grounds that both escaped the Far Realm eons ago and as agents of the Far Realm the Illithids have been tasked with eradicating all Far Realm beings from everywhere in the Multiverse because for each Far Realm spill over the sane Universe spills back into the Far Realm through a series of portals and the massive insane unknowable alien beings from beyond time and space want to go back to 1/1 like it used to be instead of miscegenated realities.

Even though the Mindflayers are playable and listed as good guys trying to eradicate all escaped horrors and monsters and abominations everyone would rather play Baraboons and Dragonqueens so make of that what you will.

...

Because that's not what "bara" means. It doesn't just mean buff men.

Bara is "faggotry made by men" while Yaoi is "faggotry made by women."

In Japan, they're both understood to be deviant fetishtic fantasies, much to the chagrin of western homosexuals who misconstrue "tolerance" for "accepting it as normal."

So if we got traplings and gayapes what did the Far Realms get in this exchange of bullshit?

God bless Gideon and his goofy bullshit.

Because people get really angry over pretty small, insignificant things when I just want to put a bit of myself in a character. Like this guy:

That's perfectly normal and reasonable.

Also, don't try the old "false-equivalence" ploy. Trying to equate homosexuality and heterosexuality is a hard fallacy, and is effectively throwing in an automatic loss in any argument.

>2017
>Not making every character an asexual murderhobo who lives only to kill and grind XP

I'm scrapping it and using the materials for a novel, because there's no way anyone I'd GM for would willingly play it.

But this is games and not real life. Games are fun. If he's not ruining other people's fun (within reason, and you seem fairly unreasonable desu), then why kick him out?

Huh, it kinda makes sense that demon lord of undead would be against procreation. The gayness is not a core concept of his worship, but incidental.

>the world homosexuality is recent
>therefore homosexuality is recent

Huh. That's a thing. Not what I expected. And technically, I think that's supposed to be one of the sons of Orcus.

Because it's a term from Japan that literally refers to gay porn for men. As opposed to yaoi, which is gay porn for women.

"bara" means literally "wild rose", and is the term to classify gay hentai written for a male audience, as opposed to yaoi, which are gay hentai written for a female audience

It'll never be as gay as you, OP.

>I've allowed a fetish to define myself
>small, insignificant

You dumb faggot. Even the idea that you would think a fetish is important enough to mark your character with it already puts you on the level where you can't argue it's not important to you.

You're faggotty "It's not a big deal, I just obsess about it" bullshit is just you hoping that you can convince people it's somehow normal and not really special, when you're literally allowing your fetish to dominate everything from your personality to your politics.

Want to convince me you don't let your faggotry dominate your identity? Don't be such a dumb faggot first.

>the child porn industry nation is the moral authority on buttfucking

bara is a gay term though you fag. Technically, it's a pejorative term too. You are literally complaining that the word is being used correctly.

Gay as hell.

>posted on a weaboo website

I've got sad news for you, user

Jesus man

>live in small town were 3 out of 1600~ people are openly gay
It just doesn't come up. They neither explicitly exist nor don't exist.
>tfw starting a game with cityboys from school and not sure if worm cans are going to be opened

Perpetually petulant vaugly humanoid blobs of protoplasm that campaign for the rights of the sane endlessly and follow the other Far Realm phantoms and thought lines around berating them for lack of inclusiveness. Every eon that passes inside the Far Realm causes them to become a little more Humanoid-like and they rapidly been moving down from infinite genders to only 15 at the current eon and the warp paterns in the Far Realm dread what happens when they get down to a single gender. They've begun refering to themselves as Normals and building safe civilizations with walls that radiate abhorent normalacy that burns Far Realm beings like sun to a vampire. The plan is that when the Illithids and Aboleths succeed in cleansing the Real Realm of taint that they'll shove the Normals through the rifts and then slam the shut and start reinforcing the planer boundries so that shit never happens again. It's currently a race against epochs to get them out before the reach a single normalized state and then spread like a cancer.

>Arguing about sexuality on a Lao model train enthusiast image board

that's a pretty wacky setting you got there user, anything else good going on in it?

The concept itself is recent. You can go ahead and try to argue that people in the past were homosexual, but that fails for two major reasons.

1. Homosexuality requires self-identification. You cannot be a homosexual unless you understand and identify yourself to be as such.
2. The concept of an immutable, inherent, sexual orientation is absent from history up until the last several decades. At best, there was the idea of sexual preferences, but even that is hardly universal.

Men have been having "sex" with everything since the dawn of time, ranging from corpses, animals, children, plants, holes in the ground, and even other men, so no one is going to argue that homosexual acts did not take place. But, homosexuality itself is a strange concept that is at odds with the understanding of sexuality for the entirety of humanity's past history and even the majority of people living today.

>put a bit of myself
>define myself
You're exaggerating for comedic effect, user.

>not arguing about the sexuality of trains and trains enthusiast

Curious, when it changed?

Therefore it's the same as saying heterosexuality did not exist because people did not identify as heterosexual. It's semantics.

About as gay as real life, I guess? Those sorts of demographics don't really come up.

Vikings held that being the bottom was shameful, so I can't personally call them homosexual as that's supposed to be an equal relationship. Pretty much every other "homosexual" behaviour in history to the extent of my knowledge was like that too.

You seem confused. Homosexual literally means "same sex", it does not matter if it is equal or not.

By your definition you cannot call heterosexual anything that is not an equal relationship.

Then, didn't emperor Adrian deify his bottom boy once he died?
