So. Here is the WIP for the MCU Part 2. I am looking for critique on its flavor text and whether it fits. I am also looking for suggestions on what kind of perks you wish to see in the various trees.

Undiscounted perks will be:
-Luke Cage/Jessica Jones superstrength
-Purple Man voice
-Ghost Rider spirit
-Dr. Strange magic (it will be the Capstone Booster)

I am also planning to do updates to MCU1 when it is time for release. Just minor stuff like making all backgrounds free, some grammar fixes, etc. Maybe an extra note or two that clarifies what MCU Part 2 will be. Mainly that it's kind of like a 'supplement' sort of thing. The Benefactor interrupts at five years in, explains the world is changing, and gives you an additional selection of choices along with an extra budget and five more years. It will not retcon or reset how your MCU Part 1 build started.

So yeah. Critique on flavor text, and suggestions for the trees/undiscounted stuff would be appreciated. I'M ACTUALLY WORKING ON THIS I SWEAR.

So can a high rank of HSDW basically do everything magecraft can, but better?

In the time it took for the thread to die, I finished the entire Hero tree. That just leaves Rogue for perks, then I do Magic things.

pastebin.com/u4hKJ6hY

Let me know how it looks.

Yay. I think I'll stay as a Tac/Comm.
I that's been stated in the past. Rune Magic overpowers it at the cost of requiring preparation though

AAAWWW SHIT!
I'm staying scientist, yo.
The tech is getting whack as fuck.

Hallelujah! Reading now.

You just need to form the runes, right? So just have some ability that can project shapes into the air or onto material?

>Toggleable Whedon-speak.

Perfect.

Tone is fine, and the opening perk works. I'm interested to see how you swing the original origins to fit Marvel Phase 2.

I'd like to see the Strange offerings, both the magic and some of the items and artifacts from his movie. I'd also like to see some of the magic and magitech from the latest season of SHIELD. I know that's kind of a pain, because the season isn't done yet, but the Darkhold, the magical quantum gloves, and a few other things were neat.

Enhancing the Scarlet Witch perk or providing some method of boosting what was offered in MCU1 would be nice too. Wanda put the hurt on Vision in Civil War.

>Enhanced Being
Is this something they actually say in-setting?

I think I'm probably going to end up going with this, along with the Madoka Power Capstone. Decretum looks particularly great, though does the power scale in some way?
Also, will there be a Canon companion option?

Past>>>Present in Nasuland. HSDW predates modern magecraft by like 4000 years, so it completely blows it out of the water. Even C-ranked HSDW would make pretty much all modern magi look like shit.

So, another RWBY episode.
Spoiler:
Learning about the creation of the Grimm and Humanity and shit.
youtube.com/watch?v=g91qG3qTaXE

They can't say mutant due to licensing issues and inhumans are a specific kind of enhanced being.

Yes, yes, good! With these jumps, I shall continue on my path to JUSTICE!

Eh. I'm a little disappointed that the origins are the same Agents inspired ones. The MCU has expanded and escalated greatly beyond that type of thing now, so I feel like that should be represented in the backgrounds. But it's not that big of a deal, really.

Hyped for it, regardless.

And Qrow's Semblance is basically Constantine plot armour.

I'm gonna have to agree with , especially considering S.H.I.E.L.D.'s current, uh, "prevalence".

I have no idea how I'm going to build for this jump. I want all of the Madoka tree and the Mami half of the Hero tree. Assuming there's going to be a capstone boost and items, I have no fucking clue how I'm going to build for this.

You expected better of this bitch?

So using this "supplement" will exend the jump to 15 years long?

Fight on for justice, brave user.
The more strongly you feel about your inner demons and flaws, the stronger the Witch will be. Assume that it grows the more you grow and experience. If you somehow lack flaws, then...I don't know, weaponized pet peeves?
If it makes you feel better, I'm not sure I'll be doing a capstone booster for this one.

Yes, that is how they describe it. They can't say 'mutant' due to licensing.

Well it's how you started, so naturally you still have your roots. Shield is still a thing as they rebuild it, and you still remember your training even if you change allegiances. Hail HYDRA. It's also partially for my own sanity as well so it's not just complete fuckery. It's not quite the same thing as the Kamen Rider verse.

Well that's also why I'm asking, to figure out what people want to see in the various trees. The magic and Magitech are already going to be things as I've pointed out, and there will be Relics you can buy and relics you can customize. Also, some of the nondiscounted powers in MCU1 will have changes to reflect things.

That is correct, yes. I might make it longer, not sure.

I don't know, it fills most of the archetypes, doesn't it?

I do wish there was a Mage/Wizard/whatchacallem Origin, though. Magic options

>I might make it longer, not sure.
At that point you might as well make them entirely separate jumps.

How's work on your other jumps going, or are you focusing on one at a time?

Literally everyone and their grandma would go that option, the other backgrounds would be worthless. That's why it's the capstone booster. It will give you direct access to magic and its related functions, with boosts giving you unique things to do with magic right out the gate.

I want to burn this one quickly, then burn Generic Cult, then I can start chipping away at BC. Hence my requests for things they want to see in those trees.

Runes can be traced in the air with fingers.

Red, the flavor text fits so well I can't help but read it in Samuel L. Jackson's voice. It's a good start and I can't wait to see the rest of it.

Also, I agree with the idea of Dr. Strange magic being an undiscounted Capstone Booster. It's a good spot for that much power.

That's how stockholm syndrome works.

He must have had some really bad flaws you decided not to show, then.

An item purchase for the Eye of Agamoto? Complete with replica time stone that does nothing but support the functioning of the Eye.

Fair enough.

I don't suppose there's any more Asgardian stuff?

A copy of that one book you keep telling me not to give to AI?

>Red, the flavor text fits so well I can't help but read it in Samuel L. Jackson's voice.
Fucking bullshit. It's a good start, but your sycophantic behavior is unneeded.

I need to remember to give that book to my AI.

That's how the Eye works, user. It's the Time Stone inside that with magic you can properly use it.

I know.

I fully intend on giving it to a Seed AI Designed to create high quality animated television.

There will likely be more Asgardian stuff.

I... will think on those both. If only because I could possibly make them work, but I am terrified of them nonetheless and am unsure how TO make them work.

Sorry. But like I said, I'm looking for suggestions on what to put in the perk trees. So I'm more than open to stuff you want to see in it.

If I put it in, I'd fiat it.

You're always free to give suggestions too if you can manage to be polite about it.

...um, no offence but isn't that a bit of a stretch given how little we've seen of MCU magic so far? So far it boils down to making portals, doing trippy dimensional geography illusions, astral hopping and making weapons/barriers.

Unless you borrow ideas from the comics, I'm just not sure if there's enough material for it to represent a bunch of buffed perk abilities.

Worth noting there's one exception to this: True Magics. Far as I know, no HSDW user has ever brought down a TYPE.

Oh, I'm so sorry that my opinion is different from your own. I've enclosed a short video loop documenting just how sorry I am. Please enjoy.

You should've expected this.

Somebody else could've picked it up in the time she was gone, but no.

You're what's wrong with this community.

Friendly reminder to report and ignore the fuckwit trying to piggyback off my post, never to engage.

...

What's the context of that image? Are they just rocking out? Who's the confused girl in the back?

So, months later I realized that somehow one of the Tennyson perks got deleted. It's been updated and readded. Sorry about that. I'll probably go back to my old jumps and modify them a bit. Mostly I'd just be fixing some grammatical errors and adding the Jumper's Contract to them.

His flaws were him being cocky and somewhat violent early on. That picture I posted was after he lost most of his power, and well after he matured.

ASA, your senpai left you something on SB.

How many anodites does it take to screw in a lightbulb?

Can't a moth squish slime in peace? It's nothing dirty.

There is an amazing amount of porn for this show. I really didn't know until I started searching to find out what it's about, but, wow, there's just tons of it.

Megumi stared in confusion at the two boys in the front seat convulsed wildly. It certainly seemed like an odd way to drive a car, but they seemed to manage it without sending them careening into the cement divider. They had mentioned that they couldn't drive any other way, but nothing could have prepared her for the sight of them actually doing it. And yes, she couldn't tear her eyes away. It was fascinating to behold, yet horrifying, like whales mating.

Worst of all was the sound that thudded into her bones. It threatened to shake her very soul apart. She vowed to never again miss the bus. No matter what.

youtube.com/watch?v=lITuHDdhdkw

Honestly, I have no freaking clue what the context is. Never watched the anime it was from.

Just one.

I am not a clever person.

And very real spatial warping, and creating relics that have minds of their own along with magical books, and seals, and magical pacts, opening chakras/punching people's souls out, even taking away magic.

There is a lot to work with, and a lot to correlate with.

Oh, yes.

Oh yes!

Silly Cap, you can't stop me.

>creating relics that have minds of their own

This.

The crafting Jumper in me craves it.

The original art style for Ben and Gwen and the alien harem Omniverse gave to Ben were the greatest boons to it.

Yeah, but barely any of Best Girl.

>Another SB exclusive jump

Fair enough.

Pretty sure he's cheering you on. Muh Phoenix taught me that Cap loves futa.

Neato. Gonna take a crack at it after breakfast.

And oh hey, neat-apparently Bluff can be a skill in Ravenloft jump. Awesome.

More than you'd hope for, less than you'd think

>MFW I went heavy in with the Avengers at the get-go
>MFW I assisted Stark with his Ultron Program to make sure he didn't accidentally fuck it up
>MFW Vision likely doesn't even exist in my chain
>MFW I've likely thrown off the plot due to potential future deus ex machinas involving those bullshit power gems

Whelp.

I'm gonna need those perks.

Not sure he wants to.

You like things muddy huh?

A Pym Particle Perk for the tech tree?

>my Redposting has failed, let me try this instead!

>Gonna take a crack at it after breakfast.
Honestly, you need to stop posting your chain here if it incorporates invalid jumps.

A copy of Ultron's main body without AI

a Scepter which can contain other Ridiculously powerful power sources,Empty Of course.

a copy of the toolbox

A supply of Scabrite

a copy of Thanos's space Throne

Magic perks obviously

be a Hulk?
You have other jumps? Which ones?

Foolish futa, you're going to be waifued.

Let's not be coy.

>You're not allowed to be annoyed about SB exclusive content.

It's like you're trying to cause drama.

What perks are there for making people believe explanations you give them?

I'm looking for anything that will save me effort on explaining my nature as a jumper to new settings. I could have sworn there was a perk that did exactly that, but I can't remember where it was from.

Couldn't you just take that as an Unusual Specialization in MCU Part 1?

Dirge has said he'd post his jumps here to stop whining about his "invalid" jumps. And it looks like he might have just posted it.

Not valid unless the jumpmaker posts it.

Hank Pym always kept that a closely guarded secret though.

Another reminder that we lost good jumpmakers because Red screeched at him for no good reason.

Oh hey, couple of questions while you're here:

If you companion Ben, does his Omnitrix gain the same limitations as the purchasable one? (I know only he can use it.)

Does unlocking g the Master Control for the purchasable one also allow you to disable timeout and stay in the form indefinitely?

And does it have the extra abilities the canon one has? Like can I use it to modify someone's DNA?

>whining

God that is rich coming from his ass.

>Trying to play both teams.

It's like 70% young Gwen, though.

From the moment some user pointed out SB to ASA it was already clear that they were trying to bait. Dirge tagged ASA, there wasn't any need to bring it up to ASA here since he would get an alert anyways. Whoever did it was obviously trying to stir a shitstorm, and probably took the jump from SB to repost over here to stir it up further.

I'm not very well-versed in MCU, but couldn't you just say that you discovered them yourself? Independently of his own research?

That user wouldn't need to post the jump if Red didn't chase off one of our good jumpmakers. I hope she feels like shit over this because she caused it.

Which is a good thing.

Soul Hackers was my first and the only one that I completed in a reasonable amount of time. I also did Farscape as sort of a Ben 10 prototype.

No there needs to be more Charmcaster.

He wasn't good, and you're only saying good because that fits your agenda. Even if it was bancho that left, you'd still say the exact same thing. Gone is gone, everybody else has gotten over it, so why don't you.

Contrary to popular (your) beliefs, ASA isn't actually on SB all that often.

School starts soon.

Huh.

Eh, he can watch if that's what he's into. I got there early enough to "make friends" with Agent Carter.

See .

I wouldn't miss bancho. But dirge is a good jumpmaker, and you bet I'm allowed to be angry over that.

If you think it's for a mighty different reason, then why don't you tell us? Huh? Thread doesn't look like it's gotten over it, and IRC rightfully bitched out Red moments ago over it again because they know she fucked up.

Because he's the shitposter, and you're falling for it.

Hate to break it to you, but school has already started, at least where i am.
where i am it's also snowing, no school's out

Why does that matter? The alert would show up the next time he logged in. This doesn't change the fact that this is SB business and has nothing to do with this thread. As far as this thread is concerned the jump does not exist.

hey weird question the Evolutinary Function works on machines right? A Decent chunk of those aliens are clearly not entirely organic because I made a separate transformation device that was basically just the Nemetrix with Evolutinary Function but it had the database ripped out so it evolved whatever form I happen to be in, and I'm wondering if it will also work on mechanical ones
