By my count there have been 5 WIP releases, all but the first having colored titles, with the first two having a generic cursive font, and the last two a sort of arabic-looking (or just very arabian-nights-esque or whateverthefuck) font. The latest addition being "ambitions" (which were previously added as "realms", i.e. locations where to go, but have been refluffed a bit), IIRC.

I'm some faggot who's really hard to hit and damage with any sort of attack, and can regenerate any damage that DOES get through. Also, I can fly, as well as being skellington proof.

I haven't played Dominions 4 yet, so I'm not sure if this is really good or not.

Yes I've been writing it all up and seeing how to organize it non-stop since then. I've got about nine pages worth of words and grammar conventions. I want to give a large amount of variability while avoiding being too repetitive since there are words like abomination/blasphemy/travesty which all sound good in a title but still end up being too similar to one another.

Also ended up deciding that the epithet is mostly cosmetic and describes your physical form while your true name is where you derive your powers from. It's not lovecraft straight from the book but I like to think the essence is pretty closely related.

So in the end most players would likely form their name choosing their spheres of influence and then they choose their epithet which will describe their shape in the physical universe. Which is why I was questioning how long to make it since it's supposed to be a physical description as well as a title.

I guess in the end I'll let it be quite a bit longer than a normal lovecraftian epithet would be so that people can make two or three different titles for different avatars of their manifestations or just one really long epithet describing their form in all its glory and maybe a separate one for how they actually want to be referred to by their servitor race and cultists

Also you get to design a servitor race to serve you and choose eldritch servant waifus and a bunch of other things I decided to add and am writing out.

I'm not entirely sure how long it would take to get this all out on gimp but I'm a dirty stupid NEET right now so I'm working around the clock, maybe a week or two.

Which of these would let me become a little girl? Aside from the fairy queen, that's a bit too extreme.

Can slimes produce transformative potions, and if so, are they temporary (turn back after a duration) or permanent (stay that way until you use another transformative)?

All of the other major summons are pretty much Armageddon scenarios, but how is the fairy queen "world ending"? It doesn't seem like she would do much more than a regular summon assuming I were to order that summon to do whatever they wanted.

Also the thought of summoning her and basically "ending the world" just to get her to turn me into a girl is hilarious. Obviously I'm only thinking that because of the example of what she likes to do and there are probably much easier ways, but it's still funny.

Also same question as in , except ritualists and spells instead of slimes and potions.

Slimes could make you a gender-swap potion, but you'd need to drink a dose daily or the effect would wear off. Succubi could do it for the ultra-short-term (lewd purposes). Ritualists can do magical disguises as utility magic, which is kinda similar. However, for a ritualist, it would end when they unsummon / a few minutes after they lose concentration.
But slimes are the best bet in that regard.

Yeah, new summoners need to understand the dangers of the power their wield. The Fairy Queen is arguably the safest to bring. Just keep in mind that she could large-scale curses instead of just targeting individuals. Still, at least she's karmatic. She might even hang around you just for giggles.

She'd give you your soul back if she could. She just can't. But yes, you could pick her as a contract to have a sort of dual-ownership.

If they die, you need to wait until durations reset (the next day) to resummon them. Other than that, no, you can't get rid of them.

Humanoids, definitely. Imps, Succubi, and Mud Golems are good. Automata is probably the best. It is designed for simple, mundane tasks.

In the game I based the CYOA off of that item is the only way to grant stealth to a unit without it. Not sure it deserves a place in the adventure to be honest but I'm already stewing up ideas for a new version.

I notice that people are only picking Human and Undead. Should I reduce the extra free traits humans get to 1? Since as-is you can basically recreate the same trait/drawback arrays from any race with a human.

It's just a non-choice, taking up more than half of the possible points to get a skill we could just buy normally.

The prices may be fixed to the game's costs, but you can make it seem worth its (very high) price. Does it stack with Stealth? That'd make it a lot stronger. Is it stronger than (base) stealth? Say so.

Also, another problem is that nobody'd pick the Ring of Shock Resistance or Black Steel Helmet when the Acorn Necklace and Horned Helmet are objectively better.

Oh, that's supposed to be Poison Resistance instead of Shock for the rings. And, it's not super clear in the text description, but the Blacksteel Helmet has a higher protection value and is much more defensively oriented.

Any chance you could add some potential drawbacks to give more gene boosts? It would give a bit more freedom to customize, pay a price for heavier modification and all that.

Just put a link to the Musclewizard and say "Go play this CYOA instead".

It makes it a bit less interesting to make a physical based character but it is your cyoa.

What's the difference between what we have now and the full version?
