Thoughts on clear Plasma Bits?

Yay or nay?

Do they have them in blue?

They were supposed to be coils.

Looks like legos

ye

Me likey

Would their be any merit in using them and adding some paint to make them more distinct?

I like them

i say yay. kinda reminds me of 90s lego space stuff

Me too but I'd like to see them on painted models.

Jesus someone sprayed their minis in a high temperature area

I don't think that's paint, they look more like rough prototypes

They look delicious.

high?

low. they turn out like that when you spray in the winter.

Yeah, based on them using an "รถ" I think they have to be from some nordic country. Or maybe Hungary.
A cold place anyway.
That's definitely a botched basecoat

Selective yay. I like some of the clear parts on my malifaux models, but I just opted to base over several. Depends on personal taste and the paintjob.

Models not mine, first google result.

only if someone makes an ORANGE TRANSPARENT CHAINBLADE

Would pay many coins for this thing

While the lego transparent bits are incredible, I don't believe it would look right on 40k models; even necron weapons look a little out of place..

Especially if it came in knight size.

>that primer
AAAHHHHH

I'd rather learn to paint the effect, but those are still really cool.

...

They don't look 'bad' but I thought the glowing bits on plasma weapons were like, superheated metal coils or something.

I came here to post this.

What's the joke here? It pops up from time to time, is it just the silliness of a chainsaw being colored that way?

Coils that shine bright blue when firing the gun.

Gimmicky, but sure. Imagine fixing a LED under there.

...

Yeah, they're meant to be magnetic coils. People tend to just paint them in a colour that contrasts with their army's scheme though, since realistically red- or white-hot might not fit or stand out enough.

why are the teeth of the chainsword not orange

Because it's off right now.

Yeah, its just a joke about the absurdity of an orange, transparent chainsaw.

My thoughts exactly.

>little plastic men looks like little plastic men

Who knew?

People are just ignorant of the theme. It's just hot so it can cut through the super ice of the ice planet, obviously.
