LOTR actually had the best combat system when I played definitely more enjoyable than fantasy, the models themselves are kind of shitty when it comes to spearmen/pikemen but they were reasonably priced and you got double your worth from the boxes than the other games workshop systems.
Also the Hobbit is trash.
Я нe гaвapy пa-Pyccки.
Hmmm, k.
Also, you can show me different between LOTR and Hobbit on examples?
P.S. I found basic rules of LOTR, but I can't find armybooks its OK?

U amazing
Here's my link, not sure what's in it haven't played it in a while. Attached you can find the Historical skirmish game based on the LOTR rules.
It was a fantastic system for a game. It was simple but with tactical depth beyond 40k and fantasy. The models were cheap and still well detailed. Best of all it attracted a whole new host of gamers because the lotr movies were so popular. Im just sad that i was too young at the time to properly enjoy the rules. I only got into it around 2010 and it was too late by then. The hobbit didnt garner new lotr crowds and the prices were more expensive than regular warhammer. No one plays it anymore sadly
Well all those minis are still hanging around. If you have enough models for two armies I'm sure gamers in a hobby club would try it out with you. Maybe someone would like it enough to buy their own stuff on eBay.
They are but the whole atmosphere around it has died
The Hobbit rules are pretty much an update and expansion of the LOTR rules.
>No one plays it anymore sadly
Not true, there are a decent crowd in Aussie and Britain that plays it. There are even tournaments.
With support from Forgeworld, lotr/hobbit aint dead just yet. Fuck finecast, FW resin is so much better and worth the price every time.
This diorama is amazing, I wish I had a better pic.
I'm sorry, but is this not the system where in close combat whoever rolls highest wins, regardless of the fight characteristic, which is only factored in when there's a tie?
A lot of the Hobbit profiles are a bit overpowered, like hunter orcs getting strength 4 & 2 attacks (on foot), but that's pretty standard with newer GW stuff. The newer LOTR profiles are usually better than the old ones. DESU, the main reason people prefer LOTR is that both systems are about acting out the films, and the LOTR films were better.
Yes, but when you combine might, multiple attacks on some models and multiple models per combat, it comes up more often than you'd think. And winning fights is so important (win = only you strike, lose = only your opponents strike) that fight is still a very good stat.
I wish LOTR had at least a bit of a following today. It looks cool and interesting and the models are lovely. I never understood the derision and resentment my fellow 40k players always have toward it.
Hunter orcs have shit defence thought.
