I know there is no definitive answer to this, but why has it become so damn hard to get a job at GW, I mean in a non-retail capacity?
I know a lot of people in wargaming that have serious amounts of talent in both manufacturing, sculpting, game design, but none of them ever get hired when they apply.
Also, GW's application website won't allow you to apply for a position a second time once you've applied to it, even if you've improved your skills later on you still can't submit a second application.
So what happens when a sculptor's skill improves and they want to apply again? They can't.
Has GW become like Vegas Casinos, you have to know someone withing GW with influence to get a job there?
Maybe someday you'll understand how extraordinarily corporate businesses work. Until then you'll have to decide whether to read a book/do online research or shitpost on an anonymous jamaican origami website for answers.

I have no skills applicable to GW, or any desire to work for them, but was still vaguely interested in the answer to OP when I entered the thread. I found only disappointment and rampant faggotry.
Ah well, in regards to OP, I imagine it's mainly old fashioned nepotism and favours. Like how most BL authors are long standing GW employees, I imagine most people who end up working for GW (redshirts aside, obviously) are relations, friends, or close relations of friends, of current employees. Measures like no second applications are there to make sure they get less applications, as they're only going to throw them out anyway, especially as most applicants are probably nerd high school dropouts who want to work in it because they play tabletop but have no skills that would be useful. They don't want to ban applications completely though because then they'd miss out on the one in a million person they do actually hire due to talent.
Would be interested to hear stories from anyone who has actually applied.
