If they'd been discussing camera work, actors, the directors, etc., it wouldn't have a place here.

Just because something seems off-topic on the surface doesn't mean that it can't be on topic. There are threads here on Veeky Forums that may seem like they belong on /hist/ when they talk about military formations, logistics, battle tactics and results, effectiveness of melee weapons, etc. yet all of that can immediately tie into anyone's next P&P game.
