Where in the setting? 550 million times the surface area of Earth is a lot of setting to detail you know.

The setting of the video game The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild for Nintendo Switch.

Look it up on the wiki, dude.

I am inviting discussion and creativity. Please discuss the setting of the video game The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild for Nintendo Switch.

100 years ago, a satellite detected an object under the sands of the Great Desert.

An expedition was sent.

An ancient starship, buried in the sand. Deep inside the ruin was a single stone that would change the course of our history forever. On the stone was etched a galactic map and a single word more ancient than the clans themselves:

Hiigara.

Our home.

The clans were united and a massive colony ship was designed. Construction would take 60 years. It would demand new technologies, new industries and new sacrifices.

The greatest of these was made by the scientist Karan Sjet who had herself permanently integrated into the colony ship as its living core. She is now Fleet Command.

The promise of the Guidestone united the entire population. Every mind became focused on the true origin of our people …

… every effort on the construction of the ship that would seek it out among
the stars.

>550 million times the surface area of Earth

WTF, is the LoZ world really that big? Where does that number come from?

Is that possible? I've never heard of spaceships existing in the setting of The Legend Of Zelda, at least not ones used by humans.

This thread is for discussing the setting of the video game The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild for Nintendo Switch.

Go away.

Why?

Because this is not the proper place to discuss video games.

I never played any of the Zelda games, I only fapped to the pics where Link watches Zelda get fucked by a guy with a hueg dick

Truly the best way to enjoy Zelda.

>Kanimeta Crimson-Flare ushers in the Age of the Grand Admirals after putting the last remaining members of the Council of Admirals on trial and finding them guilty of treason, a crime punishable by death - Crimson-Flare is now the sole sovereign of the city of Valis and its navy
>High King Osiowále signs the decree "That The Sun May Protect The Weak", declaring the peninsula Líhe Shilbaìn a part of His empire and its people slaves by nature - thus the diaspora of the Shilbaìn tribes begins as they are taken from their homes and shipped across the sea, to toil on Ahigbeni farms and plantations.
>the Chimeiga clans secede from the Sacred Triskedecapolis of the Sharac, defecting from the Orthodoxy of the Great Equation after seven years of war between the two biggest city-states, Vei Tashvnr and Vei Tánshvil - weakend from the war, none of the remaining twelve city-states is able to start a campaign against the defectors
>Sieghardt III. of the United Idanian Kingdoms and Duchies enlists the help of Ahigbeni pioneers to fend off invading Thulian zealots on the Eastern border of his realm - as a reward for their help, the pioneers claim the abandoned fortress Hyldholm in the name of their High King, renaming it Eroro ("The Bell") and declaring their general at arms Edaiken, i.e. Prince.

This is the proper place to discuss the setting of a video game.
Settings are always on topic.

Oh hey, are you the user who got banned for making all the whiny metathreads last week about how it's not fair that some people make threads on Veeky Forums without your approval?

Yes, but this isn't a whiny metathread now. It's a thread for discussion of a setting.

Fuck Zelda, but in my setting, 100 years ago as just more war between orcs and humans, probably a couple "natural" disasters, and a good bit of elf genocide, because elves shouldn't exist.

And throughout it all, Yehoshua Mashiach waits, plotting his eventual return into the world, to further expand his power.

Canada conquered the solar system.
99 years ago, they apologized and gave it back.

Stay pure, sunshine

You're too good for this board

It's all about scale bruh. When you zoom out to include a whole setting, especially a fuckhuge one like yours, you obviously can only focus on the big-picture stuff. What hugely important things were occurring a century ago in your megaproject?

What's the matter? Did you try to start this thread in /v/ and it drowned in shitposting?

A Queen who could not repent, slighted a Knave who could not forgive. They both refused to yield, and so the world buckled between their forces.

>1973.
Disco was occurring.

The Napoleonic wars, give or take.

"Loony" suspicions of an ice age imminent.

This post wins the thread.

The year is 740 in The Age of Eclipses

Gunpowder whilst known as a volatile agent found in natural minerals in the ground for centuries. Nobody has been able to produce it in a workshop

This year changed that. Only now has the process in reproducing gunpowder artificially become less a dream and more a fact of reality.

Though crude and used primarily for mining and primitive canons the idea and principles of gunpowder spread like wildfire around the known chartered world surging in popularity with those with the coin to afford it.

There's nothing left for us here. (sigh) Let's go.

About 100 years ago, or at least a relative 100 years in the Heartforge of the universe, entropy began showing up.

Not like your run of the mill "Oh! All of the heat and energy of the universe is going to run out!" entropy, black shards of it, floating around in the infinite engines, clogging things up.

This is when the Heartforge started trying to fix itself. When the greatest mechanics across time and space started mysteriously disappearing, only to show up in a white void of circular platforms and machinery, wondrous machines, and creatures indescribable showing up. The Heartforge creates the ever-expansion of the universe, and keeps the parts it's already got running.

The shards were clogging up the machines, you see. Getting into time and compressing it, stopping space and making things as simple as walking to the other side of a room far more difficult than it should be, destroying worlds when energy starts getting shut off...
