Why haven't AI completely beaten out humans in trading...

Why haven't AI completely beaten out humans in trading? Shouldn't the perfect calculations and objectivity of computers outperform human traders?

because the market isn't a mathematical model, but based on the human economy, run by humans

Not yet but you should buy XRL.

Also humans are better at pattern recognition

Traders decide to buy based on numbers. The walls, the prices, the patterns.

They do. Read up on dark pools. Humans only do OK when trade volume gets saturated by retail traders. When market makers can move things, bots only have to worry about other bots and surprise news that brings in retail traders. Note that most bots should just react by slowly trading out of their position if this happens.

only in the short term though. Long-term even small news outshine technical trading, which is why the HODL strategy has been so successful

The program only does what you (the human) tells it to do. Bots are also competing against other bots.

>inb4 muh machine learning

Bitconnect's AI will eventually absorb the monetary valuation of the entire cryptosphere

A lot of trading is automated these days user - mathbros can make a load as modelling wizards on wall street

Hoddle only succeeds in assets that trend up on a long enough timeline and for index. Good luck hoddling confido, meanwhile traders and flippers walked out with 10-20x

t. Never traded in his life

For machines, beating the market is a problem of speed and bruteforce, not math.

You are retarded if you think you can beat this game with maths, crypto more than any other market is run by emotion and nothing more

the ai will not reveal itself until it's too late

if you were aware ai was taking over our financial system, you would probably try and stop it

do you understand what short term means?

>Bots keeps overbidding me slightly again and again
>put relative higher bid order
>dump on the bot

Fucking AI’s are a meme lmao

Someone can debate me on this, but I genuinely believe all modern “”””AI”””” is fundamentally flawed due to the fact that it’s not truly able to learn new things or be creative.
You can go off the data all you want, but the world is entropic. It’s why no one can just predict completely new trends that’ll arise (fidget spinners? velvet/embroidery in women’s clothing?) or everyone would just have their AI preemptively predict and invest early in the people making those things.
This is the smallest example, so there’s even less insight AI can have on a grander scale.

humans are chaotic
Too many factors you can't account for
sentiment is hard

>Why haven't AI completely beaten out humans in trading?
says who?

>it’s not truly able to learn new things or be creative.

you should look into AI more
specifically, google using AI for things like deep mind learning

AI can be creative. You're not perceiving it because they are domain AIs and are only creative within their narrow focus.

There's plenty of room for AIs to take a different path in a task and judge the outcome then go back and try to optimize those parameters.

For AI insights, you should maybe think of them as slave labour for thinking. People have never had this available on the scale we're seeing (educated people as a group make shitty slaves). What you have is a million monkeys on a million typewriters plus a few reading monkeys that know how to look for the next masterpiece. If you find a masterpiece, you feed it to the million monkeys again and refine your criteria for a masterpiece until you get the most optimized result.

For trading, AI can look at large amounts of very granular data and see nuances that we can't because we can't consider so many facts at once.
