Awww fuck I forgot the title lads. I fucked it up good this time.

>Outrage is a manga
>It is an entirely Spanish production
I don't understand

>Mangas are graphic novels 5.5 inches wide by seven inches tall, usually in styled in black and white.
>Outrage fits that description to the letter.
>People get outraged and try to deny it is a manga.

I don't understand.

Anyone got any good painting guides for free for the minis or am I pretty much relegated to going out buying an airbrush?

First for Ariadna was a mistake

I call it "Spainga"

It's more like it isn't Japanese and the art style just isn't there. A different name would be appropriate, much like how Korean comics of the same format are called Manhwa, in order to fit in with the local language.

My go to threads to show how easy the minis paint themselves with a brush.

Tons of videos online as well for generic painting advice.

Hi. OP for those threads.
So glad you're enjoying those and getting great use for them! Please I'd love to see your results with that technique.

got new models coming in, Ill update in the next week or so

Paint More Bakunin!

Anybody got a good source on finding battlemaps for the tabletop? Can't find jack crap.

Only have my first Infinity model still painted and only followed the advice of the models paint themselves. I stripped everything else because I cant settle on paint schemes. Ill attach a pic of my Birgada next to my old Spess Mehrines.

Out of curiosity, what primer did you use in those threads? I've had nothing but bad experiences with every white primer I've used.

Can I get some C&C on my Qapu Khalqi list? Still relatively new to the game but wanted to throw something together that was relatively competitive

The KTS is my core, the Odalisques are a Haris with the FO Hafza and everyone else is solo, with the Ghulam Doctor there to pilot the Nasmats, plus Yuan Yuans for cheap raiding.

Anything I should change? Maybe find a spot for a hacker?

Hey so can someone give me a run down on the new sectorials coming out with the next book? Buddy is asking and for some reason my shit isn't working.

I started into Infinity because of Kingdom Death, and pewter is very durable so i wasnt afraid of fucking the minis up. So I decided paint these CB minis and then fell in love with the rule set and the company itself, siestas an all. Then I ordered stuff, had mispacks and then they sent me replacements for free, fucking bro-tier company.

So attached brigada is my first victim after not painting for years. My camera is shit and I painted it relatively like youtube.com/watch?v=YRWwhhUQHjc speed this up dudes.

I more or less followed that video for the red areas, turning purple into red. But for the musculature it was a simple emerald "wash" over silver. It was so bright I used the strong tone over the whole mini and everything looked far more unified. I thought the emerald would sink into hexagonal crevices but it coated the whole musculature, and I started doing research.

I have massively improved upon my painting skills but I keep this Brigada as a reminder of my new start.

I have really one question for you Killionaire, what are the exact mediums you use? I asked in a /WIP/ thread but it fell off the board. Also I would love to see you do a video tutorial. I can only learn so much from words and slides.

This close up pic doesn't demonstrate the tabletop presence each model has. FYI.

The GW model is pretty much exactly the same at every level of examination. Close up th ebrigada is alright, but further out with a regular eyeball and it has shadows and depth not represented here, partially becuase of my garbage photos.

The Brigada has about 2 shades of every color seen, not present in the photo, and all this praise is for mini that was painted by someone that was years out of practice.

I have had massive successes following Killionaires guidlines, the minis paint themesleves, and uses "wash" techinques. Ill update when I figure out a paibnt scheme I like for Bakunin.

Nothing is 100% confirmed, but from what I remember reading it's roughly along these lines:

PanO:
Gets Varuna, with resculpted Kamau, ORCs with spooky atire, Cutters, Croc-men, and some other stuff I don't care about.

There have been rumors floating about of a Svalarheima sectorial, that is to say, the nordic units like Nisses and Jotums, but it seems that such plans are even further out.

Yu Jing:
The long due Invincibles. Zuyong, Yan Huo, Shang Ji seem to be among the core units, with a confirmation for Tiger Soldiers and possibly Zhanshi. Who knows, maybe ninjas might sneak in there. Overall, it'll be very hard hitting and Zuyong would make great bang for buck links.

Yu Jing also has a Svalarheima/Huang Di sectorial, which would be "classic" Yu Jing units like Shaolin Monks, Tiger Soldiers, Hac Tao, Daofei, Guilang, and Zhanshi, but it might get shelved for later.

Haqqislam:
Gets the Caliphate Sectorial, aka Al Medinat, aka Ramah Taskforce (as Bostria said "Ramah Taskforce" is most likely the official title they'll use). This includes some units introduced with HSN3 like Zhayedans, Khawarij and Mansuri, Al Fasid, Maghariba Guard, Ghulams, Saladin, and Tuaregs. It'll be rather packed with high point units and super soldiers. The Khawarij will likely get a HRL according to a Dossier.

The Khanate (with the Kum riders, Halqa, and Hunzakut) seems to be getting shelved until next book(s).

Combined Army will get a Shasvasti rework and resculpt bonanza. They aim for Shasvasti to cover the "miscellaneous" aesthetic.

Ariadna will get the Merovingians reworked, although Kazak players might have you believe they'll also do a Kazak sectorial but don't be so sure on that.

Aleph gets Vedic. Basically whatever's not Steel Phalanx and sounds vaguely indian + the Posthumans.

Tohaa will get some sectorial, although details on that are rather sparse.

Nomads get Tunguska(.ru hax), with "hollow men," Kriza Boracs, and some other things I can't remember.

(THIN YOUR PAINTS) is entirely applicable to my jumppack chaplain in this photo. I easily spent a third of the time painting the power armored spaniard compared to the brit uber monk.

>Aleph gets Vedic.
So god damn hype. Fuck the greeks.

Now just to wait for another 4 fucking years as it gets continuously delayed more

>Nomads get Tunguska(.ru hax), with "hollow men," Kriza Boracs, and some other things I can't remember.
More Grenzers and fixed Securiates, plus Spectres, Interventors, and Salamanders. Other crap I'm sure I'm forgetting too.

Drop a Nasmat and upgrade that Djan to an HMG one.

It makes sense. Infinity has appeal for stupid weebs who would never read something labelled a comic, but a lot less appeal for stupid anti-weebs who hate manga.

Hey guys. I was in a thread last night asking some opinions on stuff as my buddies and I were going to start playing.

Decided to go with Haqqislam over Nomads for a few reasons
1) Haqqislam HI models are by far my favorite. Ooh baby
2) The fact that their medics can bring Multi wound models back to full is awesome
3) One of my friends wanted to get into Yu Jin so we split the starter (coming from 40k, ~$35 for all that is mindblowing to me)
4) One of the other guys is getting Icevale starter kit for PanO, so if I ever do want to play nomads, they're there.

So yeah what'd you guys suggest? I'm definitely leaning a good amount of multi wound HI with medic support.

FASID W/ HRL is also the coolest thing I've ever seen and seems like an awesome model for the points and gear you're getting. Azra’il too but i'd rather save the points and go for the Jannisaries.

Alright i'm rambling. Basically what supports a core like that well? There's so many LI choices I'm not sure what to lean towards

I cut it short so I could post in one post.

"Espanga" has more of a ring to it when I think of it.

Frangas are better anyways.

Ghazi Muttawi
>5 point
>Chain riffle
>E/Marat
>jammer
>smoke grenades
it is extremely impetuous and irregular

Best Addition to Operation Red Veil for Haqqislam is a real Lt, in that case, Saladin. He's awesome all around, helps round out some order management, and really helps in deployment. Khawarij lt sucks and Ghulam Lt is lame.

To best support Saladin, he could use a Hafza decoy, that way it's not so obvious who's the Lt to kill with an assassin when there are two Saladins, plus the Hafza can be another specialist or weapons guy if needed.

Al Hawwa and/or Hunzakut is good for further mid field specialists, plus the Hunzakut is a cute model.

Ghazi Muttawi'ah are phenomenal for smoke support and return of investment. Djanbazans are nice for shooting through smoke provided by Al Fasid or GM.

Fucking hell that's a lot for 5 points. Just got to smoke them well, though they'll probably get chewed up by my buddies PanO I'll just not use it against him, or get creative.

Gratzi

As I said last night. You guys seem to be the chillest TTG base I've encountered

That is until I post a list you tear to pieces, I'm sure

Waiting for the new starter to come in! My Bakunin's a bit on the waiting list until then :)

Primer of choice: Duplicolor Sandable White. It's the best Miniatures primer I've ever found. Cheap, available in auto stores. Used by a number of studio painters too. Superior to any game-branded primer.
Goes on ultra thin, so I love it. I also always prime white, so.

Mostly using 'Vallejo Thinner Medium', which turns your paints into a milkier consistency.

You're playing a OP meme army (like most people here) so of course they'll treat you nice.

Interesting. What's the (obviously not applicable to me and my noob friends) tier listing for the armies and why?

Ooh, what faction do you play? It's hard to tell, we get retards of all kinds here. Is it PanO? Maybe Aleph? Or maybe in an unexpected plot twist you turn out to be an Ariadna player!

Haqq
Ariadna
Nomads
Whiny Yellow People
Aleph

in whatever order you like.

Ha!

Sorry son.

Real men play Morats.

You're behind the times old man, whining went out of fashion among cool yellow kids months ago

>no title

Infinity General: OP Is A Faggot Edition.
Are you the AoS shill? I can't understand how one man can fuck up this badly otherwise.

Get off my dick. I already apologized.

Fuck off. You made the thread, you live with the consequences. Just like we have to see that shit until it gets replaced.

Besides, I bet it gets you off you worthless maggot.

You being on my dick? Nah you're too bitchy and needy for me to enjoy this user.

Alas though the one who will have to live with unless this slides off the board is you. I already have the read pinned so need to search for it. I know the sexy morat chick draws you like flies on shit anyway.

So eh I guess in the long run I didn't fuck up to bad.

Going for a fluff Ramah force. Any ideas for improvements? I think the Najjarun is a must include because of the Fasids. Had the misfortune of witnessing one get shut down completely by hackers the other day. Not something I wish to see again.

What do you guys think?

Some people incorrectly think it has to be Japanese to be a Manga.
Ignore these people

What consequences?
You don't think this matters do you?
It's a thread on Veeky Forums, get some perspective.

A Hafza FO to double as Saladin is a no brainer and imo 2 Mutts is not enough to cover for having no MSV or Sensor. Missile shenanigans will be good against, say, HI links, but very inefficient against marker-state badasses. Drop the order starved Hunzakuut and maybe the engineer to make some points.

I won't argue the actual definition, but it works as an easy way to distinguish between western and japanese comics. Otherwise it's a worthless term that means absolutely nothing, much like what "graphic novel" has become. The Infinity manga is even made by a writer/illustrator team rather than a single overworked fuck like most manga, so it bears little resemblance to most others of its kind.

I guess it is already causing outrage. Dead game dead thread by the way.

Hilo muerto ... juego muerto.

Anyone going to Captaincon??

Here's a tip: put the edition name in the subject field as well.

Why

To not forget to put "Infinity General" in there as well.

Tu puta madre sí que está muerta.

ojala

That's a tankobon, you uncultured swine.
You think "bande dessinee" only applies to 24x32cm 50 pages hardcovers, too?

It's a matter of codes, not format.

Thanks for the info, I'll be sure to memorize it for when it comes relevant to my life. A rose by any other name would smell as sweet.

You're welcome. Technical vocabulary makes up the true spice of life. And prevents confusion when discussing with other people.

... damn bro, you wanna talk about it?

Painted a lunokhod. Kept it real simple, but I'm happy with it.

Any WIP?

Also painted the Wu Ming HRL

Tell me, how do you get your paint to be so smooth and crisp ?

You airbrushing those?

For large guys like Rems and TAGs, I mostly just do some airbrushing and edge highlights.

I wanted to get into bust painting... Now I want it more.

So I suppose it not doable without an air brush?
I have redone my models the 4th time right now and they still look shit, as if I splatered them with paint.

Possible to get that look with a dry brush of that grey on white? I think an airbrush just makes it a billion times easier to get that transition.

Screw the transitions, I can't get the color to look flat. My models look as if someone came up to a dude and threw a few buckets of pain on them.
It sucks because the models look real nice and after what I do to them they look like shit. Can't start playing, because of it. I would be ok if they looked bad from close up, but passable from afar. Right now even If I keep them 2m away they still look bad .

Mind posting your minis user? You may have just hit a temporary plateau in your skills. Really want to help as a beginning painter because just discussing the techniques helps me as much as it does you.

Dont have a way to make pictures of my models. But it is bad. Plus I have a ton of other problems, each model seems to come out different color. Doesn't matter I use the same 3 colors, tha tthe all are black or grey undercoated. my wu ming looks like shit. I mean one dude ended up in nomad colors and I don't even have a red paint :( .

It would be very tedious. You have to layer your paints on real thin and evenly.

I wouldnt dry brush large flat surfaces

You most certainly do not need an airbrush to paint somethign like a TAG really well, though some specific things will of course be easier with one. Put some primer down, mind your paint consistency, don't be afraid to paint many layers if that's what it takes, and then even if you may not be neat all the time, make sure it's all neat at the end. Beyond that, well, hard ot say from just your very general description, but "practice more" ALWAYS applies.

user what paints are you using? Are using a thinner or water? How much are you thinning the paints before you put them on the brush? What primer are you using?

Trying to troubleshoot to help you. Also what's your experience prior to this in painting minis?

Oh crap, it's my favorite model, but even more expensive and giant.

I bought five tiger Soldiers, I don't need one more.

>I wouldnt dry brush large flat surfaces

Sorry user just trying to brainstorm.

Sorry, it wasn't meant to criticize. Drybrushing large clean surfaces can look very streaky. However, you can blend the transition by glazing between with a midtone.

>I bought five tiger Soldiers, I don't need one more.
Sure you don't.

>Broncos shirt

which fucking miniature y'all hate the most?

The dynamic ones that do retarded shit like stand on one foot and make me have to go through all this work to just get it to stand up and not fall over.

Other than that it's my only gripe.

Auxilia. They're just too ugly for me to ever use.

Also this. Fucking Zondcat.

Umbra Samaritan. Almost twice the size of its silhouette, shitty tactical lettuce (that I'd have to pay extra for), weapon pose that screams "break my arm during transport", tips over when you look at it the wrong way. Also is the only sculpt of a very useful unit.

I use the tab on the base so I never have an issue with those

Same, I'm starting NCA and these guys are pretty much essential but I cannot bring myself to buy them, wish they just sold boxes of auxbots and I would convert some bolts

Borrowed a camp. This is how the "best" of my abominations look like.

>The dynamic ones that do retarded shit
Basically this, but more towards dynamic shit that's too specific/situational. Fucking hate that oop Wulver and Kusanagi

What paint, paint thickness, and brushes are you using?

I can barely tell anything from that. Are the reds supposed to be all different shades like that?

>WIP
Oh and to the guys you made the request for the female Tankhunter. Sorry, I've been doing a lot of painting recently, but I'm still on it. Here's a little wip shot

No. They are suppose to be orange, but somehow they come up red or shit colored every time. Or pink if done on white undercoat.
a mix of some valejo and some GW paints. As for brushs, I dont know. One smallest I could and one big one to put the undercoat on.

Did you thin them?

I did add water, but If I add too much the paint becomes runy and I have to redo the whole model all over again.

>Any WIP?
Maaaaaybe...

Regular or LEWD?

I kinda want LEWD

I don't know the proper ratios with Vallejo/GW, because I use normal artist acrylics, but I find that coating the brush with paint and rolling it in about 0.2-0.3 mL of water works pretty well.

I'll try and get a photo of the guys I painted like that.

Nomads are involved

Is it wrong to lift color schemes from other Veeky Forums games to use on my armies? I've been struggling to come up with a good color scheme for Aleph; I'm not fond of the studio scheme, and there's not a lot that fits with their look.

Right now I'm thinking of dark silver/gold/light blue (from Convergence of Cyriss) or off-white/maroon/gunmetal (from white-colored Phyrexians).

Nah man, it's cool. There's nothing wrong in adapting schemes if they work or you think it'd look good. My Al Fasid is pretty much painted in Carcharodon Space Marine colors and the Nomads I paint are a legacy from the Cult of Red Grief Dark Eldar for examples.

>I use normal artist acrylics
And here I thought I was the only one who did that.
